Easy to find. Best way to get there is by renting a bike! On your way back to the bike rental place, stop and grab a drink at the cafe. Nice little pit stop.

The fine white painted mansion in Dublin's Phoenix Park,Aras an Uachtarain, home to the President of Ireland, dates back to 1754.The man responsible for its construction was Nathaniel Clements who was appointed in 1751 as chief ranger of the Phoenix park and its master of the game.He held the position for life and it passed to his three sons.He designed and built his own in the park.Once the home was finished he set about creating the elaborate gardens and are still a notable feature today.Clements died in 1777,his widow lived in the house his son sold the house and gardens to the the viceroy, the crowns representative in Ireland, until the formation of the state in 1922.Queen Victoria visited in 1849.The last big extension was made in 1911 for the visit of George 5th and queen Mary.Douglas Hyde became the first president in 1938 and took up residence Today the Aras, and gardens are kept in immaculate condition and our esteemed president Michael D. Higgins and his eifr Sabina are in residence.

I was lucky to snag the last tour ticket of the day, no charge! The tour guide was very friendly, and made sure all questions were answered along the way. Very beautiful building, with a lot of history.
