B. C. m.Set in Camp Street Oughterard is possibly the most kind and brilliant vet in Ireland. Karl Verruggen is very passionate about his job & this is clearly reflected in his work. Whether its a cat or a calf, a bichoen or a bull, and any animal in between he is the man for the job. He works 24/7 and is still as welcoming at 2am as he would be at midday. His clinic is brilliantly stocked with everything you could possibly need for your animals care. Grace his receptionist is the kindest lady you will meet & she has an abundance of knowledge. The clinic itself is very kid friendly and Karl is great at explaining to them each step he is taking and also in giving them little jobs for the aftercare. Its always a brilliant sign seen transition year students and young people there in work experience. Prices are very keen & he is definitely not in his Jon for Money as other vets in the are way more expensive. If there were 10 stars here I would award them.

Karl goes above and beyond every other vet I know. He welcomes kids into his consultation room explains in such a nice way what he is going to do & offer aftercare advice to them that makes them feel included which is very important to parents.
He is very professional, and clearly loves the work he does with all the hours he puts in. On call 24/7/365 he never refuses to see a pet or sick animal.
Follows up with calls to see how you are getting in put a person at ease while caring for sick animals.
He is so reasonably priced, honestly compared to other vets locally. .. he is nearly running a charity.
