D. G.Very happy to recommend this very veterinary practice. We suspected that our dog had diabetes, but felt the service we were getting from our normal practice was as little detached and remote as they are a large and busy practice.
Blacklion is a smaller practice and I felt from the start that the staff there gave us the attention to detail we required.
Alan is a really good vet, maybe a bit OTT on details, but he is a complete professional, listens to the client and gives good advice.
Unfortunately after treatment for diabetes, our dog went blind and we made the decision to put her to sleep owing to age and other sensory issues. Again, this was handled with sense, sympathy and professionalism by the staff.
If you want the best for your pet, this is the place to go.

R. Y.Great treatment for our dog that was ill but we didn't know why. He arrived at the vet's very dehydrated. No sign of infection and bloods all normal. An x-ray revealed that he'd swallowed a ball which was blocking the exit of his stomach. Major surgery needed to remove it. Dr Aoife kept us informed every step and got permission for each procedure. He had to go to the vet hospital in UCD overnight as he needed continuous monitoring. Shaky few days followed. He was very weak. Engaged the help of St Francis. Great follow up also from Blacklion. Highly recommended.

The hospital proudly supports Greystones Kitty Hostel (-> Ms Louise Cardiff, have a look at their FB timeline); they put tremendous effort to help abandoned, stray &feral cats in the South Dublin area. The program is called trap-neuter-release and trust me: sadly there are A LOT of homeless cats that would need the human help:'(
Over the years, together they helped countless cats and kittens.
So if anyone here feels that may be able to support either the hospital, or the Kitty Hostel please, do so!
