The team at Carton Vet Maynooth are fantastic. My dog fudge is well known and they all make such a fuss of him when we arrive. John and Eimear are my go to vets and I know fudge is in safe hands. They listen to me and take on board everything I tell them regarding his health. Couldn’t recommend them enough. 😊

I've been going to MyVet for the last 6 years with family Dog and the treatment that the dog gets on arrival is amazing. As a Pet owner everything is explained simple to understand. John is the Family vet for our Dog but on numerous occasions we have been seen by other vets and all courteous. I'm glad to be a client of MyVet maynooth and a branch in Lucan. We’ve been coming here for nearly a year for our dog Jasper. We moved from the US to Maynooth for work and are about to head home. MyVet Maynooth has been the best vet’s office we’ve ever used and I’m sorry to be leaving them and Maynooth! The staff is friendly, courteous, and kind. They are wonderful at explaining anything that needs to be explained, are prompt, and the pricing is great. I first went here to get Jasper’s EU pet passport filled out for travel and we continued to bring him after that visit. We joined the Pet Health Club and felt it was wonderful for our dog and included flea and tick medication monthly. They’ve always offered me two months of medication during COVID to minimize the amount of times we had to come in, which I fully appreciate. Jasper had a few incidents over the year where he stole inappropriate food items and had to be checked out and the staff here always went above and beyond to not only make sure he was okay, but that we knew exactly what was going on with him at all times. He had to spend the night once and I got a call first thing in the morning to let us know how he was, helping to keep my anxiety levels low. I cannot recommend this vet enough!

Cannot fault John and the team at Carton Vets. I had my dog with another vet until he was 4, but was unsatisfied with a diagnosis. Took him to John who ran numerous tests until we were both happy with a course of action. Lilly had some teeth which were infected in her front lower jaw. On advice from Dr Carswell we arranged to have four of these rotten teeth pulled. Lilly was in for a few hours and arrived home a bitty groggy. After sleeping off the anastatic, she ate a diet of soft food for a few days. Since then she has been in materially better form. We are delighted with the accurate advice and the professional treatment which Lilly received in MyVet Maynooth.

I have had very positive experiences at the Carton Vet Clinic with my Wheaten Terrier, Riley. My appointments were really easy to book. John has always been extremely professional, caring and considerate, all the while doing a very thorough job to make sure nothing else was wrong with my dog after he has made his diagnosis. On top of that, all the other staff members are outgoing and cheerful. Their grooming service has always made my dog look fluffy and clean cut. Riley always has a fun time whenever we go there, despite whatever has been wrong with him. I'm delighted to have found a great vet practice.

I can't recommend the team at Carton Vets highly enough. I had a very poorly dog last year, and the guys here made a very quick and ultimately life saving diagnosis for Ruby. Thanks to John, Siobhan and all the fabulous nurses in Carton Vets she is now fully back to health. Regular check ups are a pleasant experience. Opening times really suit any working schedule. You can be assured your pets are cared for here just like at home.

I have been bringing my dogs here for a while now and I have no complaints! The location is perfect as there is ample parking. The opening hours are great and there is always time to get in after work. The team are all lovely and give the best care to my babies. A receptionist also recently joined the team and she makes a great fuss of the dogs when I come in. They also offer a Pet Health plan which really helps spread out the costs of caring for my dogs. I can’t recommend Carton Vets enough!

Carton Vets are really excellent. We've been bringing our dogs here for 6 years and the care and attention they've had is fantastic. The staff are friendly and professional, and give the dogs a nice welcome when they come in the door. I have going to Carton Vets the last number of years with my dog Bella who has allergies. The staff are lovely especially John, Rita and Christine who are friendly and always willing to help. Carrie joined the team and is a lovely girl too. I feel comfortable and listened to and know they will give Bella the best of care. Would recommend this practice plus they have the healthcare monthly plan which has saved me so much money. I know my free vet visits can be used anytime. Thanks Barbara Nolan

Our elderly dogs have been attending Carton Vets for 5 years and they have been taken care of wonderfully. Both of our dogs have been very sick during this time. One of our dogs had a life threatening tumor on his spleen which has a very low survival expectancy but through the highly experienced and compassionate care of Carton Vets we still have two wagging tails at home.

Our dogs Charlie and Bailey have been attending Carton Vets for a while now, Charlie has been very ill on two occasions with pancreatitis and John and Hannah were fantastic in their care for him. They phoned daily on how he was doing while in their care and I've never had a problem getting an appointment which is a great advantage. The pet plan is also so handy to have.

For the past 3 years we have been using Carton Veterinary Clinic in Maynooth to look after our extended family of Dogs, Cats, Rabbits and Guinea pigs. Our experience of the whole Carton team has been overwhelmingly positive. The Vets are highly competent, patient, caring and when unfortunately necessary, very compassionate. The Nurses are also fantastic, friendly and always willing to offer day to day advice and accommodate any special requests. However, the biggest endorsement comes from the Patients and it’s clear to see how good Carton is when you see the reaction of our Dogs when they come for a visit. As soon as they see the building their tails start to swing with excitement and they literally cannot wait to get in the door and say hi to all the staff. Their reaction, even after painful experiences such as neutering, shows just how well they are cared for and treated and is why we cannot recommend the team in Carton Vets enough.

I have been going to Carton Vets for quite a number of years now, with my numerous guinea pigs and our cat. John and the team are all fantastic and always look after my piggies really well, (its nice to have such a good "small pet" vet to go to). Our cat loves staying with them too when we have to go away, he really comes back very chilled! I also have to say that even at the most difficult and saddest of times John and his team are so kind and caring and do all that they can to make it as easy as they can for both the pet and the owner. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Our oldie "Puppy" had a terrible time of it almost 2 years ago now and thankfully with constant monitoring and adjustment of meds he is a stable IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) patient now at 12 and a very happy dog. The monthly subscription option is an excellent offer to be considered.

My dog Toby was involved in a tragic car accident and was rushed to carton vets. He was in a bad way, it was so bad in fact the driver of the car cried at the condition of my dog. Carton Vets assessed him straight away, then called and asked my permission for immediate surgery, Later, I drove to the practice expecting to say farewell to Toby. On arrival Toby was back walking and patched up thanks to the quick action taken by the team at carton vets. 3 years later he is still perfect. The standard of care is surely the highest in the country.

The team in MyVet in Maynooth, well what can we say! They are AMAZING, FANTASTIC, INCREDIBLE............... We and all of our fury babies, love coming in to be treated by the most famous vet (Eimear). Despite her famous status, Eimear doesn't let it go to her head and always carries out her job professionally, with great experience and to the very highest standard. She always puts us and our little furies at ease, and looks after their every need, even having to deal with us, the crazy, very over-reactive parents. She is an incredible vet and we would easily give a ten star rating if that was possible. While Eimear is our main vet, all our babies have been treated by the rest of the team, from all the other vets, to the amazing nurses and reception, and they are all fantastic. The team can never do enough for you and especially for the welfare of your pets. They always prioritise your pets health and safety. We would certainly recommend MyVet and the team in Maynooth to anyone who will listen and can not speak highly enough of them and the amazingly skilled and experienced team. Love Ali and Siobhan x

Brought my lab Nala in as she had had sore ears for a little while. Laura the vet treated her. I have to say the clinic here is handy for me. Love how easy it is to get parked. The nurses in the clinic (especially Carrie!) were so nice and friendly and made a fuss of Nala who is not usually a fan of going to the vet. I was seen promptly and overall experience was great. Definitely recommend, I will be back!

We have been with Carton Vetinary Clinic for the past 4.5 years since our dog was 11 weeks old. We have been lucky that our dog Xabi has been healthy and we only ever had to take him to the vets for checkups and minor enough issues. They have always been very helpful and professional. In December last year Xabi had to have an operation which turned out to be complicated surgery. There was no choice but to operate however it was a lot for our little dog to go through as the surgery wasn't straightforward. The team in Carton were absoloutley brilliant. He had to stay in for a number of nights and they looked after him so well which was so reassuring for us as it was such a stressful time. We received updates from them 3 times daily on his progress and the care they gave him was above and beyond. Xabi is now doing great and we can't actually believe how quickly he bounced back. We truly believe the care he received is the reason for this. It's when something like this happens that you're so grateful for a practice that know your pet and who you can rely on!

As a very fussy mammy of a rescue baba woof I can’t recommend and commend John and the whole team highly enough.. my woof has thrown us curve balls from time to time and Carron vets has become our second home from time to time. They treat me and my boy with utmost care. They are absolutely thorough in investigating and treating Tiny no matter how small the ailment. The care he received on a recent weekend stay after a procedure was amazing. Also I love that they involve me and take on board my views and concerns even when I am being annoying and overly fussy.. I'm so glad I choose the right vets, theses guys are unreal at their job, I've had my 7 month old puppy Momo in and out here from around 6 weeks old all the way from his first vacations to his unfortunate current problems. They have honestly been the most helpful and kind people to my dog and me, John is really good with him even if he dose fall out with him from time to time from getting injections (haha) and he is great at helping me understand exactly what's going on and what the plan of action is each step of the way. I mean I can't swear by them enough. For the fact that they still opened even if it was only for a few hours to treat emergencies during the beast from the east just says it all. The whole team are very dedicated and passionate about animals. If your looking for a vet in the area please chose these's guys, you won't regret it :)

Just before Christmas my little dog Poppy was suddenly taken ill. She was unable to walk and had had a seizure. I took her straight to Carton vets. As Poppy was so unwell she was taken in to a back room for monitoring. While I was waiting to see a vet I heard a very strange sound coming from the back. I just knew it was Poppy and that it was serious. Vet Laura who was already in consultation with another customer immediately went to check on Poppy. Poor Poppy had suffered another seizure and was critically ill. As it was after 8.00p.m and past the practice closing time I didn't know what to do. Poppy needed all night care and if she had another seizure it would probably be fatal. Laura offered to bring her home and to ring me if she deteriorated further during the night. Amazingly Poppy was still alive the next morning and continued to recover gradually over the next few weeks. She will need to take medication for the rest of her life but if not for the superb care she received from Laura and Rita on the night and subsequent after care, she definitely wouldn't be here today. I can't say how much that care meant to me and it saved Poppy's life. Thank you so much Laura and Rita and thanks also to Christine, John and Rebecca for the great after care. Definitely above and beyond the call of duty. Teresa.
