E. W.We had our wedding in the Celtic Ross Hotel in August 2021 and I can not praise them highly enough. Firstly the option to get married on the Warren Beach is incredible and beautiful. Just a short drive from the hotel the General Manager Neill and Wedding Co-ordinator Debbie made sure the beach was set up perfectly (they liaised with other vendors such as for the chairs and florist) and that there is access to the car park for the wedding party. Secondly the food is superb. Executive Head Chef Shane helped us create the perfect menu for us. The seafood platter was particularly delicious as was the trio of desserts. Thirdly the hotel itself was amazing - we had guests from England travelling and having everything in one place made everything work so well not to mention the stunning views from the hotel itself. There is so much near by the hotel too so it really is an ideal location. The wedding party all got ready in the hotel on the morning of the wedding and nothing was too big or small for the hotel to help with. Every single member of staff is friendly, helpful and is genuinely happy to be there. The rooms we got ready in were stunning and beautiful backdrops to our photos. As with any wedding things don't always go exactly as planned on the day and Debbie was amazing at helping us pivot and overseeing the day - for example we had to move up when we cut the cake as it was a warm day and it was starting to melt. It is simple things like this which could cause you a stress but it wasn't an issue for us as we knew the hotel had everything in hand. We got married during restrictions and the hotel were forever professional, clam and reasonable. We felt reassured that they were checking covid passes and ensuring both guests and staff were wearing masks while never being over bearing. We were delighted the hotel worked with us during the restrictions. For example we had our drinks reception and first dance outside by CRAFT, with its palm trees it felt positively tropical! The hotel also helped us use their projector and PA system for some evening entertainment (we had to pivot and organised bingo which was great fun) I can not express enough how amazing the hotel were and how perfect our day was as a result.
I. S.We had such a great time in the Celtic Ross. The location is fantastic, so many amazing amenities on your doorstep. The staff were so helpful and accommodating at every step of the way - we really felt looked after. The food was great, and the room spacious, clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

C. A.A brilliant experience. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel was superb, warm and clean. Unfortunately, the leisure centre pool was a disappointing size but the nearby lagoon activity centre made up for it. The hotel is in a magnificent location.
R. H.A repeat visit to The Celtic Ross for a mother daughter weekend away. We love this hotel with the perfect balance of kids and adult focus.
The food was superb, rooms well equipped, beds comfortable and location stunning. The kids club worked well for the little one with enough activities on the doorstep to keep us all entertained all weekend.
Other highlights were the swimming pool and the excellent covid precautions.
We were looked after very well by the staff and will definitely be back
N. K.What a gem in Roscarberry. We stayed here for 2 nights Aug. 17th/18th on our 6 night tour of West Cork and this place is excellent. The location is 2nd to none, its perfect for walks round Roscarberry's pier and beaches and town. The food here is excellent, we had dinner on 1 night which was very very good and the breakfast was excellent, and the views from the dining room are superb. The staff were easily the best and friendliest and the most helpful of all the places we stayed. I find it hard to understand why this hotel is rated as 3 star because we stayed in 4 star hotels that were a lesser quality than the Celtic Ross, it's just a pity it's a 3.5 hour drive from our home but i would cettainly like to visit this hotel again sometime

The evening meal was very expensive for what we got and the bar service was very slow. The hotel was clean and comfortable but we will not be returning.

M. M. S.So I would be giving this establishment 5 stars if not for the unfortunate errors that were made with my order. But a gentlemen whom i presume was the manager or some position of seniority helped to make the meal very enjoyable and even gave my wife I our meal for free which included a dish for our toddler. The hospitality of the staff was amazing and the food was delicous is aswell as beautifully presented. I would absolutely be happy to come back and pay in full for my meals and highly recommend a visit.

The bar menu was very good with plenty of choice. The bar staff were very accommodating and had a good interaction with customers. Had one dissatisfied issue at reception on our second day when our keys didn't work, but overall most of the staff were very helpful.

A. W.Beautiful location, helpful and lovely hotel staff members. The swimming pool and the gym is clean and pool attendants are actively looking after their guests. Hotel and Spa was overall a 5 star experience.
The disappointment was the restaurant which provided only very limited dinner menu, average service and food was just 3star. Our family really enjoyed our stay in the hotel and using the spa, its a real pity that the restaurant experience was only of average rating.

F.Food was good but extremely overpriced for what was on offer, staff were fantastic, childrens menu was double the normal price charged normally at 5 star hotels so for a 3 star hotel you wouldn't expect 3 gougons and a few chips to be €9.00. Great decor and facilities but would not recommend the food prices.

p. o.Food was unimpressive, the food we did get 100% came from a tray that had been sitting under lights. I really dislike a place that can't just serve food per order and feel they need to cook once and keep it semi-edible for the rest of the morning. This was a disappointment to me that has prevented me from returning. The staff are great, the place is clean and the rooms are great, however for me the food is the biggest part of a trip as long as everything else is par.

Our daughter got married here on Friday 13th March 2020. There was only a small group of us and due to how things worked out this year it happened right on the cusp of shut down. We were treated absolutely brilliantly. They couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. The food was excellent and the staff couldn't have looked after us any better. They made this day wonderful for our daughter and her husband and everyone that came. If there were more star's I'd give them.

D. F.This was a relaxing stay, short walk to a small but nice town square with some nice restaurants. The food in the hotel restaurant was good, but not great. Staff were excellent. We were traveling from America, and were a little confused why there were 4 beds in our room when it was just me and my wife... but not really a big deal. Maybe this is just an Irish thing...
M. D.Went for a 3 night break and had a great time. Upon checking in, I got 'bumped up to one of their bay view rooms which was much appreciated. The place was spotless.
The choice for breakfast was huge. My first dinner was their 5 course 'food tasting experience' which was lovely, and I had their regular menu the 2nd night, which was also lovely.
Overall I'd a lovely time, left feeling refreshed and wouldn't hesitate to go back. Highly recommended.
M. W.Looks more impressive on the outside than it is on the inside, which is very similar to a modern chain hotel. The staff were pleasant and friendly and the food was fine tho not spectacular. However the location was excellent and it make a great base for exploring the coast. If you're a twitcher, take binoculars, as there's plenty of bird life to see.

Such a warm and kind person who makes you feel at ease the minute you walk in. She has such a passion for her job and it really shows. Best massage I ever got! C. K.I stayed here by chance as I was hoping to stay at Clonakilty Park Hotel for the marathon. As it turns out this hotel was the better option even though it was about 10 minutes away from race. The area is much more scenic with a village with pubs nearby. We had great views from our room and staff were friendly and food was good.

M. A.Stayed here for 4 nights in November, Lovely location and room comfortable and spacious. We had breakfast and dinner here each night, food was lovely and plentiful, generally we’ll prepared. Staff were mainly attentive we only had one occasion to complain when a waiter snatched the menus from our hands and was dismissive to us, obviously we dealt with the situation and it was never repeated. Our only criticism of the restaurant and bar was the amount of unruly children, the parents or accompanying adults did little to control them and nothing was said by the staff. Who wants to dine or drink in a place with children lying on the sofas and floor and rubbing ketchup into the furnishings, yes really, just look at the state of the chairs, sofas and carpets to see what we mean if you visit. It’s a real real shame. All this being said we enjoyed our stay and dined later to avoid the children but the furnishings need changing. We didn’t indulge in the pool and spa area but will in the future, it looked small but nice, another concern was we saw school parties queuing to use these facilities, not what you want as a guest on a spa break. It sounds if we’re anti children, we’re not, we just want a restful hotel break in a lovely hotel and location with good facilities, food and wine. Above all the staff were lovely and we will certainly return.

T. H.Really nice location with in an idlic coastal backdrop. Friendly locals, pitch and putt, sandy beach all within 1km radius. Hotel is very well priced with lovely staff, clean and well-equipped rooms, and a comfortable foyay with a fireplace where you can sit back and read a book. There's a very nice pool with a steam room as well as a gym. I've been a few times and it's up there as one of my favourite hotels. The bar food is nice however my one complaint is that the restaurant is somewhat overpriced and the food sub-par.

J. T.Modern, comfortable facility. Generally clean rooms (found some litter from the previous occupant) and food at the resturaunt is very well prepared. Customer service is excellent, though the staff in the resturaunt seemed a bit overwhelmed and uncertain at times. It was, however, a fully booked weekday so perhaps busier than usual.

G. J. G.I stayed here one night in July 2015 and for the most part had no complaint. However the bathroom in our room was very poor and let the hotel down badly. We had no bath but a walk in shower that resembled a hospital washroom, a tiny sink and ugly toilet. The bedroom itself was reasonable with a nice view out over the water. The restaurant was a slight letdown insofar as it was too big and the decor disappointing. Having said that the staff were friendly and efficient. I feel a little capital expenditure would work wonders. The location at Roscarbery is truly stunning.

Our room was overlooking the bay which was spectacular and even though we ate out at evening time we enjoyed the best of local produce for our breakfast.......
I would also suggest a visit to the bars up in the town especially O’ Briens Bar where we played a very enjoyable game on bingo.......the Barman was excellent there aswell

I. S.Lovely place to take the kids swimming in the leisure centre on rainy days. Nice renovated change rooms but the pool area could do with a bit of TLC. Situated really close to the Warren beach and nice and convenient place to eat after a day in the sea.

B.The Celtic Ross Hotel West Cork Ireland is a lovely hotel it looks great and it is set in truly beautiful surroundings, the food here is excellent , there is plenty of choice, we had a lunch on a couple of occasions, we chose a fish dish which was delicious, the staff here are friendly and helpful, we got to know some of them , the bedrooms are very comfortable and nice beds, if you like bird watching there are lots of different birds , so bring some binoculars with you, we enjoyed sitting in the lounge which overlooks the Lagoon, this place just keeps giving, also the hotel has a pool, steam room, and Gymnasium, the Celtic Ross Hotel is on the route known as the Atlantic Way so this area is well worth a visit.

L. O. C.Went for lunch here winter 2017. Not much on menu for someone like me with allergies. Asked for nó cheese in my sandwich, got cheese. I am allergic to it so I was picking it out if my sandwich. When we went to pay the man we went to was rude, he might have been having a bad day. He brought up the bill for the wrong table. We had to show him where we were sitting and tell him what we ate. If it had been my first time there would never go back.
D. S.I went into use the leisure facilities while staying in near by Clonakilty. The pool was small but comfortable and the sauna and steam room where clean and relaxing. They are fixing up the changing rooms at the moment and they will be nice when finished.

A. A.On Friday last, Hubby & I decided to finish a long week with something to eat in The Celtic Ross Hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my Tagliatelle with Rosscarbery Black Pudding Sausage, Mushrooms & Walnuts - savouring every bite. It was probably a bit much as I had started with Caesar Salad which arrived with warm chicken (a lovely touch); a variety of bread croutons & plenty of chopped bacon & Parmesan shavings. Hubby enjoyed the Seafood Plate to begin but missed a couple of slices of bread to accompany it. His main course of Fish was but a memory as he cleared his plate. Of course, I wasn't having dessert but am so glad I succumbed to temptation. Both were gorgeous and obviously made in-house. Satisfied & replete we returned home to light the fire on a cold damp evening.

K. K.Nice hotel right on the sea. Unfortunately, the days were quite short when we visited and we didn't get much of a Seaview while in our room as it was too dark. But the rooms from very pretty and comfortable. The tables with inlaid maps of the area were gorgeous. And the accent wall of teal was a nice touch. Water pressure was amazing. I was quite thankful for that and also appreciated the full curtain on the stall.
The lobby areas were nice. Comfortable chairs and sofas. A nice big dining area. Breakfast was pretty standard Irish fair. We didn't eat dinner here though.
There's not a ton around in this area, but there is a 1 Michelin star restaurant not five minutes from the hotel: Pilgrims. Unfortunately, we couldn't get in. However, we ate at nearby Market House which was great.
Overall, it was a great stay.
