I rarely write exemplary reviews but felt compelled to on this occasion. I purchased a Nissan from Bill Griffin a few weeks back. The car itself was high spec and it was excellent value. I had spent a few weeks searching for a vehicle but nothing compared to the price offered by Griffins. A few weeks after, I ran into a difficulty with the car and anticipated some difficulties having it repaired. There was a dent on the inside of the driver door which occasionally prevented it from locking. I had anticipated having to leave the car with the garage for a day or two as it required a minor repair to the bodywork. There was no issue when I called them. Much to my total astonishment, Alan and the staff set about having the issue fixed for me there when I arranged to call by. The car was taken away by Philip from Dent Tech who had it back within an hour whilst I waited. The customer service was second to none. Can't recommend enough. John Mooney, journalist

Was looking to buy a nice, affordable used car after living out of the country for three years. I don't know much about cars so can find dealerships a bit intimidating, but the sales associates in Bill Griffin Motors were so polite, knowledgeable & helpful that I felt completely taken care of. They took my budget into account, & showed me several cars, being very honest & helpful about which models would best suit my needs & be the most reliable. They also gave me some great advice on which cars would be the most affordable to tax & insure, as they knew I would be facing high insurance rates after being out of the country. When I picked out a car, they gave it a thorough inspection & made sure that everything was working perfectly. They also gave it a wash so it was sparkling before I drove it away! They also told me to let them know if I had any problems & they'd be happy to fix them - which was lovely to know, even though I've had no issues & am delighted with my new Peugeot! Overall, Bill Griffin Motors has polite, knowledgeable & incredibly helpful sales associates - & one happy customer!

It seems there are recurring issues with customers planning to see a car and arriving at the dealership to find the car was sold. I understand the nature of the business and that it's first come first served. The only thing I would recommend is for the sales team to improve on their communication. The dealership looks fine, they have a wide variety of cars. It has potential. They also offer extended warranty on the cars, which is great. The sales person with whom I was in contact took upon himself to let me know when a car that has my requirements will be available. Depending on his customer approach, I will change my rating accordingly.

I purchased my Opel Astra 2018 SRI 1L petrol from Bill Griffin garage last October 2020, light white smoke started to come out from exaust. I contacted Ashley the sales person who referred me to Alan who looks after the warranty. As the car was under warranty from Opel, Alan took my car himself to Opel dealer twice and got it fully checked and serviced again! He also checked it with their own mechanic. Apparently there was nothing wrong with car, the smoke was due to condensation in cold weather. Alan also did a double check and asked me to come back after 1000 km drive to check the oil level to make sure everything's ok , all ended up perfect. Great thanks to Alan who was very helpful and professional also Ashley who provided me with all the information needed. Bought a lovely BMW from these guys! Mark in sales was excellent and pushed through a finance package in no time at all. Wasn’t expected to receive the car until mid June due to VRT backlog but got a call and was able to receive the car in late May. A few issues were found on the vehicle after purchase I had to call a number of times to get these rectified this was however due to covid 19 and the limited number of staff onsite. Once available the service department got all the issues fixed and have been of great service ever since. Will definitely return again! They even offered me a free service next year as an apology.

On the 23rd of May 2020 we went from Limerick to Dublin to do a test drive. We liked the car and decided to buy it on that day. We gave 500€ of deposit and said to the employer that next week, on the 30th May we would come back to pay the overall amount and collect the car. On the 30th we arrived at the shop (I must remember you, we drove from Limerick to Dublin with our 7-year-old son). While we were paying and taking care of all the paper work, the employer said that the car was being washed and prepared. So far so good. After paying and 1 hour waiting, we had to go ask what was going on, because no one bothered to give an explanation why it was taking so long. The employer said that the mechanic found a problem on the engine and they need to order a new piece. We were astonished as they had a week to prepare the car, because we had already paid the deposit on the 23rd of May. In the end of the day, and after paying the full amount for the car (+ extra for extended warranty) we left the shop with empty hands. Only on the 11th of June the car finally arrived at our door. It was a long time waiting for our car – 13 days waiting for an expensive item, not knowing when we could have it. On a positive note, we really appreciate their honesty. They spotted the problem and wanted to fix it before giving the car away. However, they should have realized that on the week before, between 23rd and 30th May, where they should had prepared the car for collection. If they did that, the story might have been completely different. Obviously, we would not be upset. They would call us, explained what happened, said not to go to Dublin in vain. We wouldn’t have lost a day to drive to Dublin, and we wouldn’t have paid the total amount and leaving the shop empty handed. On another positive note. The employer was very helpful during the process. He always answered our nervous calls when we were asking for updates, and he also kindly brought the car to our door. This dealer has very good cars for good prices, however they need to be more careful in the after sales, and that is why I am writing this review, trying to be constructive. At the end of the day, we can say we have mixed feelings. On one side, the process was quite disturbing. On the other side all worked out well and, so far, we are very happy with the car we have.

I came for a specific type of car, and the deal was closed the same day, virtually in no time. I consider that I get an excellent value car for my money. Happy with the purchase, and the experience in general. I leave the 4-star feedback for the only reason the car was delivered with a broken flapper (car oil tank hatch). This I did not realize at the time of handover, and let's say, fair enough, I had to accept that there is no way I can prove anything, so I had to have it replaced. This obviously did not cost a fortune, but did spoil the overall experience somewhat, which otherwise would have been a 5-star.

I'll only ever post an honest review Some of these cars are imports damaged and repaired, although they are sound vehicles they should be independently inspected Definitely worth getting an independent mechanic to check these cars over. I must also add that BGM stand by their warranty and are very quick to respond to issues that may arise.

Recently bought from this dealer was skeptical given some of the reviews around customer service and condition of cars. although i had some minor problems after purchasing an X5 hand free kit not working, small oil leak and vibration when breaking... the staff were very helpful and polite, they addressed all my concerns and even fitted an aftermarket hands free kit as part of the warranty, whilst their was some delay approx a week in getting the X5 back i couldn't fault the workshop manager Alan he took calls and responded to my texts regardless of the time of day. He even dropped the X5 into a shop to get some after market mods done . I also got the jeep checked by my own mechanic who vouched for the work they had done (oil seal kit and brake discs) they got some bad reviews on the net but i wouldn't have a problem buying again from these guys (assuming nothing breaks with the X5 when it's out of warranty ! )

Ok so this place is busy. Very busy. They have hundreds of cars and a good few sales people but they are busy. Give yourself plenty of time to view all the cars or better yet look on their app and pick out a few cars to see and test drive. I got a great car from them. Absolutely mint. There was a few issues that had to be sorted like the front badge missing and no spare wheel / inflation kit. But this was sorted by the sales man without any hassle. So why 4 stars and not 5? Well the answer to that is because they are so busy they are lacking in communication department. I found myself chasing up for a date for collection and waiting on call backs. But don't let this put you off. The sales person i had was great. Always answered his phone when i rang. All in all i was very happy and i would buy from them again. Also just to reiterate what another reviewer has said about the car being clean. It was clean on outside but the inside wasn't really the standard i was expecting. It was clear that it wasnt cleaned inside between the time i test drove it and picked it up a week later cause the same small grubby marks were on the interior which just wiped off.

Feels good that after all the research I've done that I could settle with one dealer to deal with cars. The best bunch of staff at BGM. If at all I'd any issues they have been sorted out and most of the time I've barely had any issues, very seldom at all. I haven't tried another dealer the only reason being, my relationship with BGM has become more a friendship and id trust them without a doubt. my experience as well as others who I've reffered them to has all been excelent. Bought 2009 vw tdi passst last year dealt with Richie a nice man I bought the car on the Thursday told collect it Tuesday was called Tuesday evening and said problem with back window regulator and wrong size tyres I’ll call you tomorrow no phone call the next day I had to drive over and ask what the story was told come back at 530 car will be ready I explained I couldn’t got the wrong key then couldn’t find the car eventually he did and I went away I put it into my local mechanic for a service a week later he said your front drivers side tyre is bald so I got it replaced cost me €75 and the tracking was off that was another €50 I don’t think I will be buying from you guys again.
