Great location, great onsite restaurant. Even on the last week of season the go karts, crazy golf, playground, archery and other activities including magic show twice a night were in full swing. The showers were piping hot and so clean for what you pay, 1euro for 6 minutes (which I think was actually 10)
Didn't use the campers kitchen but did use the tumble dryer which was great. Roll on going back in the summer time.
No local shop for essentials but as long as you go prepared you be fine.
There is a great ccoffee housein the village called the Latin Quarter, such friendly staff.

We stayed twice so far but will definitely be back. We stayed first time in a pod and it was lovely. Second time was in a tent and my kids loved it. The activities were great for my kids and they loved the playground. The facilities were spotless

I've stayed here before and at the tail end of covid. And the kids activities have been affected. But It's a busy camp with a great atmosphere but not do large as to be intimidating and lose that personal touch. the camp does enforce their curfew in a sensible fashion. It's 'keep the noise down. Don't disturb your neighbors' not 'lights out ! Get to bed!' . This works for everyone. Micky Finn's close to the camp is just an excellent bar, good food, good beer and good staff. And in normal timed there are enough kids activities on to entertain them while you get a chance to enjoy. Central enough to use as a base to explore Wicklow. Easy to get to as it's not far off the N11

Fantastic spot for camping . We had our campervan and stayed in the young dreamers area. Great for young kids. Loads to do and Pub on site serving excellent food. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere there . Will definitely go again .

Absolutely amazing place to bring the family, first time campers and will definitely be back. Toilet facility are spotless too. Campers kitchen washing area with hobs no ovens or fridge/freezer.

Park is excellent. Amenities clean and plentiful. Only drawback was noise issues at night time from a small amount of people. There's meant to be a strict curfew of 11. Security did their best but we didn't sleep great. Maybe we were unlucky. Would definitely go back and hope for the best.

Still one of my favourite sites. Lots to do on site to keep kids and adults alike occupied. Toilets/ showers are spotless as always. Constantly expanding and improving the activities. Looking forward to trying the new go karts.
L. H.
This place is amazing, so clean and family friendly. There is also an adult only area, very well kept. Facilities are spotless and all staff are so friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend this place enough
j. l.
I can’t fault anything with this park. The pitches are well sized and most seem to have a bit of shade with trees and beech hedges between them. There are well defined areas suiting different family needs and the whole place was well maintained and very clean. As regards entertainment there was lots of stuff for my 10 and 8 year olds with crazy golf and archery being their favourites.
The only reason it’s not getting the full 5 stars is because we booked archery online, but it was overbooked on the day. Another family finished early which allowed for us to have a few minutes but the kids were a bit disappointed.

We just home from a 5 night stay and we truly enjoyed ourselves... We stayed in little dreamers and found campsite very clean and well maintained... Loads to do with the little ones kids club crazy golf great playground and new one being built can't wait to see that next year... Restaurant mickey Finns was class food was to die for.... Looking forward to our next visit 😀

Fantastic site. We were in Secret Garden. Very well maintained. Facilities very clean. Bar was closed but that was expected due to current circumstances. There was some noise one night but that was a party in a house in village. Otherwise nice, quiet, relaxing stay.
B. M. C.
This River Valley campsite in Red Cross had spotless facilities and it has a lot to offer. Restaurant onsite and lots of activities including go karting, archery, and foot golf. Also a number of wild deer. Good walks round the perimeter of the site. Def would visit again.

Booked in for 1 night stay with camper.meet owner when arrived on site.very knowledge about the place.quick check in and guided to bay.
Place was abit dusty in general. But toilets and showers were very very spotless.
Showers were very hot which must 😍 of been the hottest water in any campsite we came across.
Place was grand for a rest from travelling.went to brittis Bay beach for a few hours.
Normally we do a b%q for evening dinner.but decided to book dinner at the pub.
Very disappointed with menu.burger chicken burger steak 37 euro and fish and chips.
I was throwing up half the night from the food.spent 65euro on frozen fish and mock cream out of a can and it was a very disappointing menu 😕. Cant blame the parks fault.but next visit we will decide on our own cooked meals.
Place was well kept but very big site to be look after with hardly any staff.this is down to covis 19 and not the owners fault.well done Mr halloran on ur business. Look forward in returning very soon.

Very good site clean and tidy shower blocks. Adult camping area so no kids very nice. Separate areas for families so everyone is catered for. Lots of activities

Lovely place lovely staff and awesome pub. Just disappointed that paying for a luxury mobile home at the cost I could have stayed at a B&B with linen and towels and TOILET PAPER. Had to take my own linen, own towels own tea towels. At 130 euro a night I would have at least EXPECTED TOILET PAPER and soap in KITCHEN to wash dishes. Campers pay alot less than a luxury mobile home they at least get toilet paper where I had to go to use toilet even though I had a loo in the mobile home. Luxury mobile is not worth 130 a night. Way to expensive. 10 euros more maybe look at the Glampotel that comes with everything alot more luxurious than the mobile home.
M. R.
The adult only Secret Garden is fabulous with fully serviced level pitches with ample room for caravan, awning and car. Also very good clean service block. Mickley Finns pub restaurant on the park boundary is fantastic. The location is ideal for easy access to Brittas Bay beach and Glendalough. Well worth a visit.

Staff are brilliant, facilities are amazing, people who stay here don't match. Only flaw with the site is it's over crowded. The campers here are horrible people. The farm animals on site are more domesticated than the majority of the parents who stay up all night drinking and shouting. No security to stop them. Such a shame because this is one of the best campsites we've ever visited. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the site is spotless. So in short if you're from Dublin & don't have manners or respect you'll fit right in here. Please book to stay with the on site animals if you don't have social skills like the majority of fellow campsite users. We met people from all over Ireland and the world here who loved the camp site but were disgusted by the behaviour of the "THUGS" who destroyed what should have been an amazing stay
A. S.
Good sized caravan park, very clean with hot showers.. Staff really friendly.. Does a nice gunniness at the pub... Kids loved the stay.. Will be back soon....
A. C.
We booked into the Secret Garden section a break, and met up
With some lovely People. I would recommend it. We enjoyed live music in the evenings on our pitches and all was well regarding quiet time. Very many of the neighbors joined in and enjoyed it.
However we, and other campers, were upset and amazed when some young gentlemen near us were told to leave for disturbing quiet time. We were right close to them and heard no noise from their pitch. The respectful manner in which the young men responded to the accusation from security was to those young men’s credit. I hope in future that groups are not discriminated without allowing redress to accusations.

Wow! Loads for families and kids to see and do. Mickey Finns pub for fab food. Secret garden excellent and v quiet for adults. Good location for touring.
A. K.
Had an amazing time at river valley. Availed of the kids club so me and the mrs could have peace and quiet. My son did come back on day saying one of the leaders (I think he said his name was luke/Luca (my son has a lisp and I don’t rly listen to him)) was his favourite and that he showed him all foxes and rabbits. Son won’t stop talking about rabbits now so the mrs is gonna make rabbit stew to sort that out. The secret garden was also great and the Restraunt next to the park was amazing. They seemed to be filming something I asked some locals and got different answers on what it was so it rly added a layer of mystery to our trip. Shop across the road was very barren though. :(
M. c.
Great place nice and cleaning lots to do with kids. Nice walks and pedal cars are fun.
D. O.
My wife and I had a lovely weekend at River Valley. After being in a couple of camping sides, River Valley was the most friendly and prepared that I've been. With a special star for the best pork belly ribs that I've eaten in my live, the guys there really got the BBQ skills. Thanks you all.
P. M.
Most amazing camping park! Loads of activities for family and children. The pub outside serves the most amazing food. Really nice tent pitches for camping and the lodge and glamping are equally amazing. We go back every year and the kids love it more and more. Lovely supermarket across the road with everything you might need.
K. F.
Great set up and amenities. Dogs welcome as long as on lead so you can bring your furry friend along too.
K. F.
Great campsite, clean facilities, helpful staff, well worth a visit if you're planning on going to Wicklow
G. T. S.
Excellent camp and holiday park in the heart of Wicklow. Staff are very nice and helpful, activities for kids and local bar for food and drinks just outside. Large park with loads of space, we'll mark this for sure 👌 as a revisit favourite.
m. F.
Excellent! I don't particularly like camping but River Valley has made me think again!! Lovely amenities and the different camp sites (small children/older kids/no kids) are well thought out and spaced out
M. M.
Absolutely amazing place to bring the family first time campers here, so clean toilets are spotless, campers kitchen, park, gocarts, archery, tennis and much more.
R. R.
one of the best campsites we have visited in years David makes you feel so welcome and nothing is impossible for him all the staff fantastic and everything you need for a great camping experience
will be back
G. J.
Superb site with nice facilities. Pub restaurant take away and brewery all at entrance to site.
J. B.
great place .9 /10 only thing I can knock it for is we where getting asked to go to bed at 11 .
a full day with kids then the only chance we get to unwind we where getting told to wrap it up like we where kids
they need to chill out a bit
C. C.
Fantastic park. Great for kids of all ages and teenagers .Lots to do. Set next to a village with a shop and best of all outside the gates a beautiful restauran with a lovely bar. Also a takeaway and icecream parlor. Facilities very modern. You wont be disappointed
A. b.
We brought the 4 kids for the few days but the 2 older ones didn't enjoy it 1 bit noting for them 2 do so we had to cut it 2 days short.
L. o. b.
One of the best sites I’ve been to. Camping area is well Kept, the toilets & shower area are spotless. Plenty of activity’s for the kids. Staff are nice and pleasant.
D. M. G.
Great fun place to stay, clean and family oriented.. Plenty to see and do around with Brittas Bay only 10mins away. Kids love it there and have been every year since 2016.
M. L.
Very lovely campground for families and friends. Facilities were in great conditions and plenty of activities for the kid’s on the grounds like archery and go-carting.
D. S.
Very good, great facilities. Access to the sea and mountains amazing. Brewery well worth a visit
M. C.
Fabulous campsite. Something for everyone. Lots of activities for children, take away, ice cream shop, bar and restaurant all on site
A. T.
Excellent experience. Loads of great camping spots, facilities are clean and all staff are friendly and welcoming.

Home from home love this little gem so much ,beautiful scenery, relaxing ,Had a meal out twice in Micky Finn's thoroughly enjoyed it ,also a little quaint coffee shop called Latin Quarter perfect for a coffee and enjoy the old style decor 💞,first time back to Rivervalley in a couple of yrs won't leave it as long next time ,🥰
A. F.
Really pleasant and relaxing stay, nice walks, plenty to do for families. 3 tennis courts, playground, pancake stand, icecream shop and bar and food.
C. R.
A brilliant park but not enough lighting, tolit an shower facilities excellent.
E. D.
Fantastic camp site, everything is literally around you. A pity that adults have to keep quite and put out fire at 11pm. People up most of the night not being quite and there was no security around. I will visit again but I will stay in the secret garden section. Well worth it
G. L.
Great place for camping but found drink and food very very expensive so bring your own with you or a very healthy bank book
M. K.
Amazing site. So much for kids to do and they cater for grown ups too which is a novelty!
N. R.
Very family friendly everything that's needed on site from showers to cooking facilities nice staff would recommend
e. b.
Great place to go for a relaxing weekend or for kids to enjoy
K. B.
Well look after lots of activities for everyone well worth a stay
M. &.
Good getaway location for 2-3 days. Book a house, treehouse or a cabin. Not many shops around so bring ur own food and drink recommended. Also can book a tent space or drive in with a mobile home or caravan. 1-2 days worth of activities for kids to keep them happy and occupied. Wicklow close by about 15 min. drive away which can make up another day of sightseeing and wandering. Also britta's bay about ten minutes drive away with nice sandy beach and we'll depends the weather is the water temperature.

This place was pretty entertaining as far as the kids were concerned. We felt super safe, and felt that the kids could easily have some freedom to enjoy what was on offer as we relaxed. It was pretty bad weather throughout the time we were here but it encouraged us to pack in a lot of entertainment in the better stages of the weather and then retire to our tent on the heavy raining moments. There was quite a lot on offer . The kids really enjoyed the go karting and the archery. It's well thought out with activities that take up a good while such as a teddy bear chocolate hunt or even magic shows and comedic puppetry in the tent which is located at the events area. This was a brilliant area with free space that the kids just loved for running around and making friends playing football. They all really loved it. It was open space so we really could keep social distance for the most part here, and the set up also included a bar and bbq if we fancied. It was over all my favourite area as we could relax outdoors while able to see the kids. The facilities were great for us as campers in family camping area with tents as we were close by the toilets and the wash up areas for both dishes and clothing as well as being near by the hot showers. I would highly recommend camping in the tent at this facility. Its definitely one of the more enjoyable areas we have been to with the tent but the kids made friends with neighbours who were renting mobile homes who also said , it was a great mobile for the week so this may be an opportunity for us another time to experience. The playground and recycling was also pretty close by. The place was so good that it was ticking so many of the boxes that we would definitely be returning in the future. Theres very small complaints i would have about this facility but to name the very minor few that would be there are, every little thing costs. The playground was the only aspect that didn't cost. We prepared to spend a good bit of money on this trip wherever it ended up being in ireland so we had saved for the likes of little spends but literally every little thing seemed to cost. Pints were 3 tokens which levels out as 6 euros each. The bbq food wasnt too bad price wise but all the activities bar the playground were starting at 2.50 minimum per kid. The go karts are big enough for the adults and they are a bit of crack. So I recommend those. 5 per person. Downfall is that at the reception we were told they last 20 minutes each then after getting to the go kart centre they allow only 15 minutes. It was basic sensitisation, afterwards the fella just sprayed over the steering wheels and seat. The cleaner for the toilets etc was always working , and kept the areas very nice for most of the weekend. She did great . Lastly it was great that the deadline time for being in the tents was 11pm, they had security asking people to aboid by this however even though this was very advantageous, the tent near us which had more adults than kids in it, were loud enough to make a lot of folk stay awake late enough with their noise, which we are used to from attending music festivals but the kids found it hard to sleep at the 11 pm bedtime mark . I was surprised the camp owners were allowing them to continue this 2 nights in a row as it really stresses the importance if this on the site but those were the only complaints I would find. So advice is definitely visit here, be prepared to spend and be prepared to have slightly rule breaking noisy neighbours but hopefully we just got unlucky.

Absolutely fantastic holiday park and the whole site is spotless. We stayed in the secret garden for a bit of rest and you honestly could hear a pin drop. By far the best caravan park we have stayed at. Toilets are spotless as is the showers, you have the pub at the entrance and local shop across the street. There is a chippy beside the pub if your looking burgers and chips. Lots of things to keep the kids happy and a little pancake shop on site. Close to different poi. You’ll not be disappointed when you visit here. Fantastic 👍👍

Excellent holiday park with a wide range of accommodation options suitable for all. We went camping and stayed in the Little Dreamers area. This meant a noise curfew was in place from 10pm. I wondered how this could be managed, however not only did most people in the area respect the curfew but a member of staff cycled around a couple of times to check it was being respected.
There are other spots where the curfew is 11pm and as this is really a family park I think the idea is a good one. When we arrived we were given a good explanation of how things worked, what activities were available, cost involved - where applicable, options for dinner etc.
We were directed to the Young Dreamers area and told to choose any site with a grass base. The cement based ones being for caravans. It was a really great location and a nice set up. The toilet / shower / kitchen block is very central and easily accessible to everyone. There was a large entertainment/cookout area with a bar and Bbq cookout. Not cheap but enjoyable and great to be able to sit out and have a drink and a bite to eat while the kids are entertained. Magic show and the puppet show were very entertaining and most importantly - enjoyed by the kids.
Covid prevention seemed good with hand sanitizer readily available and masks enforced indoors, ie. Shop, reception etc.
Staff onsite were really friendly and obliging. We had a really nice time despite bad weather and will defo be back
K. D.
Great spot . Very clean with good facilities and very friendly staff

Brilliant family run place great for kids and adults
J. M.
Spent the weekend here, Friday and Saturday night. We are a family of 5. The amenities are very good clean and well looked after, the staff are also very nice. We stayed in the family camping area but it was a little crazy before 11! We ended up getting our tent ripped with kids running around and one falling over a guide rope, probably more about the lack of control of some parents than the park itself nonetheless it misses a star as a result. I would recommend going to the young dreamers area if you want any peace at all!! If we go again this is where we will go, that's a big if as very disappointed that we had our tent ripped.
K. R.
Fantastic family camping site. The tent pitches are plenty big enough, and the facilities and staff are excellent. Even during covid19 times they run outdoor kids events during the day, and the bbq camp out is fantastic in the evenings. That should be 1 covid response they keep going!
I've only one gripe... There is a curfew of 11pm on the main site, but it doesn't really get quiet until after midnight... I know of the curfew because it's very clearly printed on the website but there was no reminder at check in and I didn't see any staff going around and some people don't seem to care to keep their voices low!
L. M.
Lovely holiday park with great facilities. Great onsite entertainment. Secret Garden a great bonus for adults only. Well sheltered site. Only problem was showers in the secret garden area weren't always hot.
S. A.
Great place to camp with the family, with a tent or a motor home or you can rent one of there glamping pitches or tree houses. Great facilities and friendly staff. Set in the lovely little village of redcross in wicklow, near brittas Bay.
P. S.
Two sections - a family section, AND The Secret Garden (Adults Only). Each with their toilet/shower block, FULLY OPEN. pub at entrance to campsite, (meals have to be booked, covid 19 regs) take away meals can also be booked on line & pivked up at pub. Ehu & water at every pitch. Waste water & cassette toilet emptying points.
P. B.
Great spot highly recommend it great food in bar too
S. K.
This is a fantastic campsite, I visited with my family and we all had a great experience! There was an issue with a drunken man in a tent nearby, which was dealt with appropriately and he was asked to leave the campsite first thing the next morning. This campsite is very well suited to kids probably aged 4/5 upwards. Some of the activities include, pedal go-karts, archery, remote control boats, and farmyard animals! We had a great trip and would love to return!
C. H.
Lovely site, pitches are not very big but approximately 7.5 metres. Great facilities on site for kids & families. Mickey Finn bar & restaurant at entrance of site with lovely food.
C.
Stayed midweek at the end of may. Two adults and our dog, we were lucky enough to have the adult campsite to ourselves. Shower and toilet facilities were spotless. Staff were very friendly. A very good location, will definitely be back.
G. M. C.
One of the best sites I've been on all amenities were in great condition very clean and central to all sites great activities for the kids too plenty to keep them occupied during the day lights out and quiet time at 11 sharp in the family area is enforced I will be going back for sure
P. N. W.
A wonderful peaceful location. Caravans are spacious. The owners are lovely kind people. They actually want you to have a great holiday. The golf course is brilliant. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Wicklow, this place is heaven!
A. A.
Very nice campground. Great facilities. Kids were shrieking in the glamping huts nearby till late at night. Got bit by a dog during our 1 night stay.
Signs that tell folks to have their dogs on a lead are only signs.
T. S.
Busy this evening being high season and the weekend. Nice family vibe about the place. Beautiful new rental properties on site. Plenty of kid friendly activities. Holiday park is right in the village with very easy access to its amenities.
C. M.
My family have loved visiting here for years. Highly recommend.
G. D.
Stayed here two weekends in a row. Facilities were very clean, staff very nice. Highly recommend the secret garden for adult camping. Will be back soon! 💫
G. H.
Great spot...kids were free to roam.
(have 4 and 8yr old)
All facility's are up to standard...shower rooms were great too, clean spacious and private....
Great 2 days and weather was unreal!
Only down point was the amount of cars driving around the site during the day.....but this can't be helped and every one was slow and cautious.
Have been here and Hidden Valley (rathdrum)....
Will happily return soon to either.....
V.
Beautiful site in an outstanding part of Ireland. This is the perfect base to see Wicklow and surrounding area.
The site is well laid out with exclusive areas for families with small children, older children and there is an area for adults too. Wash facilities are well appointed and kept very clean.
C. N.
Enjoyed our stay, convenient for visiting several attractions
D. M.
The Williamson's run a great park great investment into the park. I have been camping and caravanning since 1978.
D. L.
Very nice place with a lot of things to do. Well attended and clean.
R. M.
Wonderful stay,so much for children and adults to enjoy every day.
j. f.
Very friendly staff lots of activities and a bbq at night time
j. m.
Spent a few days there this July. Took my caravan down from Belfast. Clean friendly and welcoming. Also has an adult only part of the caravan park. Just beside its own micro Brewery selling craft beers.. Lovely indeed. A cute little village also with shops and eatery's to choose from.
A. D.
Just home after a weekend camping in river valley. Used to have a caravan there years ago when kids were small. Been years since I was there so many improvements. Place is beautiful, clean tidy. Staff are wonderful. Food is wonderful. Will be back camping again soon. Ailish
M. B.
lovely campsite love the fact that there is am adult only section. Unfortunately it should have be child free, however during the three weeks of my stay, several adults did sneaked in there children or grandchildren and some of the golden campers you would have thought because of there age that they would have behaved a bit better at bedtime instead of partying they should have turned down there music and voices.
Anyway the site is dog friendly and I was able to walk my dogs down the lovely lanes unfortunately other dog owners must have forgotten that they had to pick up there dogs poo 💩 this ruins it for other sensible dog owners.
If your taking a dog with you on holiday please pick up your dogs poo 💩 🐶
Security is good when you can find them they tend to stay around the mix area of the campsite rather than the adult section.
Clean toilet 🚽 and shower 🚿 facilities the restaurant is always packed food is excellent
Would advise to book for evening meals.
P. B.
Have reared my two kids here...excellent facilities... if it is your first time camping this resort will spoil you for anywhere else..... it has everything you need.
M. G.
Absolutely loved this campsite, has everything for every age, young and old alike. Amazing
S. S.
Eight years since I was last here and they've a lot of changes for the better, the BBQ area with food, drinks & live music is great and opens from 16:00 to 21:30
A.
A lovely place to setup your camp. Generous plots and hedges for privicy. Farm animals and family activities are also good. Reception Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful which makes a difference to the experience. Good location quite near brittas bay but you need a car. The pub nearby is decent also.
W. C.
Loved this place and will be back as soon as the good weather returns. The staff were very friendly, movie night was great and the food at micky Finns was awesome. And the Guinness too. Theres plenty for the kids to do but we were only staying one night .. so next time the kids will try all the activities.
B. M.
Pub and restaurant on site is a different aspect from most other campsites. This is a Holiday Park not a campsite.
m. c.
Just back from 3 nites here. Well run campsite. Kids loved it. Only suggestion is maybe a couple of microwaves and toasters in the campers kitchen. Lots of other sites have them. Also the noise of the crows around at dawn chorus. My god. Maybe some sort of cull might be in order come winter when its quiet.
J. K.
I love coming to this Site. We enjoy it as we take advantage of the Secret Garden area. I love the fact that there are separate areas and we have grown up family and often come over to have quiet time. Highly recommend the site to everyone families or couples or friends.
D. K.
Great campsite..probably best we've stayed in so far
Lovely walk adjacent to site with deer and alpacas. And right beside Mickey Finns Bar & Restaurant...great steaks. Only one thing...reception never seemed to open so we never got to check in😉...not a problem for us though
R. T.
Camped here for the first time ever, it’s an amazing place, so scenic and peaceful. The activities on site are great too and the pub at the entrance severs amazing food and beer. Unfortunately our nights sleep was a little bit disrupted and we weren’t aware the “permit” had the 24 hour wardens phone number on it. This place is also close to Brittas Bay which is a lovely place to visit
e. b.
I went here with my friends about two years ago, their was an incident that put the kids in danger. When it got very dangerous one night a security guard stayed in the tent with everyone and river valley sent the person causing the disruption home. 100% would recommend
S. K.
Really high class campsite with great facilities. Try out the brewery tasting tour and good food in the adjoining restaurant. Great base for touring Wicklow.
C. M.
Spent 3 nights in a 2 bed luxury mobile last weekend (Oct bank hol).
It was our first visit to River Valley and definitely won't be the last.
The mobile was perfect, loads of space and nice and warm.
The park is well set up, lots for the kids to do (you need to buy tokens for most activities apart from playground) and there is a pub at the entrance, Mickey Finns, that serves fabulous food. We ate the all 3 days. The craft beer from the onsite brewery was pretty good too 😊
Already planning out trio next year and will be bringing more family along too!
A. C.
Fantastic place. We stayed for 3 nights in the Kukoo Hut with 2 boys (aged 5 & 7). The Kukoo Hut is right beside the animals. The kids loved feeding the animals each morning. There is so much for the kids to do. The area was spotless and the staff were so helpful. We look forward to returning 😁
A. N.
Great place for camping. Plenty of activities to do for children and adults. Playground, kids club, mini golf, foot golf, golf, tennis etc. Great idea to have separate kids free area for adults without children to stay and relax. Bar at the corner is a bonus.
C. B.
Fantastic place for kids and adults, there is everything you need in the campsite, also it is very reasonbly priced. Great spot!!
M. N.
I am here. 23.30 and still noise in family area. No hot water in the kitchen area.
J. D.
My only concern was the fact that families with children under 16 where staying in the adult only section.
Not the first time I have witnessed it.
Standards are slipping
D. R.
Stayed for 2 night in the log cabin. Beautiful place and loads for the kids to do. We will definitely be back.
L. K.
Stayed for 5 days in what was named secret garden (adults only). pitches large enough with grass area to side for awning. Site is aimed at families with every activity costing something. I went around the animal area which had some animals however no imformation on what type of animals they are, it would have been good for children. Also the area around the animals was badly maintained much long grass and nettles. No shop or eating available on site other than a crape van. Eating out is in the Micky Finns pub next door or shop across the road for daily shopping needs for basic items.
My partner and me like cycling however no imformation on this at all. I stayed on 3 sites on our 1st trip to southern Ireland this site would be the one I'd miss next time I come.
C. R.
Just left river valley had a wonderful 2 nights camping in secret garden. Will definitely be back with the grandkids as there seems to be some good activities. Best campsite iv stayed in with pub / restaurant micky finns and the fabulous Giovanni,s for fast food their chips are best we've every had. This place we highly recommend for cleanliness in showers, kitchen wash up area and entire site best we've been to. We will be back, Thank You all at river valley.

If it possible for another Toilet Block on the Family section? Apart from that when the toilets were cleaned, they were spotless. Really enjoyed our stay with our Grandchildren.
A.
What a place....
Our first family camping adventure.
Privacy while camping in the area we were at. Clean bathrooms and shower rooms. A kitchen with stoves and dinos if needed.
There is so much to do for the adults and kids. We all loved it.
It will be hard to top this place.
Not sure we want to try anywhere else.
S. D.
Loved our stay here, will 100% be back ☺
M. O.
Been coming here for 25 years. Dont know what we would have done without it this year. Great socially distanced campouts at the weekend during the summer... perfect
S. a. T. a.

New Glamphotel - Stayed in one of the units (cat and mouse) of the new glamphotel. All units have different themes such as bears, rabbits, fairies and jigsaws. Accommodation is of excellent standard. The kids loved the themed bedrooms. Had a fab meal in Mickey Finn's pub.
E. M.
Would highly recommend this campsite. Very clean facilities and plenty to do on site. The kids had a ball.
F. H.
A great family holiday resort has a bit of everything for old and young
S. O. C.
Had a great weekend camping here wit all the family!! Great place for the kids kept very clean and the curfew is kept to. Which is great when you have kids.
O. F.
Great warm and welcoming site, plenty of activities to do in the park and surrounding areas. Park has 2 separate areas - families & adult only (the secret garden). Range of accommodation surpasses just tents, caravans or campers, including the addition of purpose built wooden sleeping pods and now tree houses. Good facilites for tenters, including electricity at pitches. Excellent facilities for caravans and campers with water, grey water and electricity available at each pitch, something which is not commonly available around Ireland. Don't have children so only stay in Secret garden area, it's quiet and relaxed atmosphere suits us, that's not to stay you can't enjoy yourself and have some fun but be mindful of other campers past 11. In fairness considering this is an adult only area you would expect the curfew to be a little later. Been coming here since the early 00's started with tent now up to caravan, lots of things have changed, the site has improved and extended, same family of owners since the late 70's, they work hard to try keep that sense of family in place, while expanding into other ventures like the wicklow brewery. It adds another element to the park, almost an independent attraction. The famous hoolies in the brewry are great craic. Craft beer and whiskey available as well as the standard options. Food in the restaurant is beautiful, with good options and a simpler day menu, when you fancy a spot of lunch and a quick pint, after a leisurely walk around the large park. I do really miss the 18 hole par 3 golf course they had on the grounds, they replaced it with foot golf? ?!!. Suppose that would be my only negative point, but that might be personal to me. The park and all it has to offer is fantastic, you have to check it out but at least twice!
S. A.
A wonderful haven for kids lots to see do and play, for adults foot golf tennis etc, fun for all, they have their own brewery restaurant and takeaway and shop. The staff are genuine and lovely, thanks for a wonderful stay
V. M.
Had an amazing experience camping in River valley. We were in the field behind the tennis court and it was ana amazing spot if you dont mind listening to birds sing at 6Am in the morning 😉
Overall a great escape from city and very fun place to be
P. M.
The staff very friendly the site was clean and tidy the secret garden is the best looking forward to visiting again soon.Thank you for a lovely stay
M. R.
Lovely campsite, with wonderful space lovely relaxed atmosphere. Only downside the campers kitchen sink and taps make it impossible to wash up, But overall a fab site.
M.
Lovely campsite. Loads to do for the kids, they were entertained all day long. Nice clean facilities 2
W. G.
Good space around each site. Kids had loads of activities. Toilet blocks clean. Crepe stand was very tasty. Not much in redcross but good location for arklow and the beaches
E. J.
Lovely place.Very clean and quite.Ideal for families with young kids.Local pub with delish food on site. Easy access to main roads.Highly recommend.
R. N.
This is one of the best camping sites for me and my family for many years as it is a very welcoming fun but simply site. Personally thow to me on my last visit the park had seen to slack slitly a bit compared to the ariganal mared oners how I now well. but I would still recommend it for many resens. The slimpistic and inviting atmisfer of the park is grate, there are a number of Simple activities for people of all ages.
R. M.
Wonderful place for camping. Area is kept clean and tidy. There are great facilities too. For those who prefer quiet stay there is a designated adult only area.
T. O.
Great place, lots of stuff to do here. Footgolf, pedal carts, tennis, petting farm, acrhery and the like, there is a pub and restaurant too and they brew their own beer. Cant ask for much more than that. The only draw back is the Irish weather.
A. D.
Great place. Just be in bed early
m. g.
Our time in river valley was perfect as always we have been going here for nearly 20 years this place is very special laurna is a pleasure to deal with as is all her staff can't wait to come again mobile was spotless
M. G.
Really convenient to Dublin but not the cleanest of sites relative to similar sites further from Dublin e.g. Morris Castle in Wexford or Lough key in Roscommon. The staff were all nice but the entertainment on site was a bit pricey for what was on offer. So in summary it was nice but not the nicest.
P. C.
WHAT AN AMAZING PARK. ;-) I BOOKED THE GLAMPHOTEL FOR A GIRLIE WEEKEND, FOUR OF US IN TOTAL. THE GLAMPHOTEL WAS JUST BEAUTIFUL. THE SMELL OF THE WOOD AND THE DECOR WAS FABULOUS AND MAYBE BECAUSE OF THE TIME OF YEAR AS ITS STILL COLD WE WERE ACTUALLY THE ONLY ONES STAYING THERE. IT WAS SO COMFORTABLE AND WARM WITH EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. BEAUTIFUL QUAINT BEDROOMS WITH THE MOST AMAZING COMFORTABLE BEDS . MY FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE HOUSE WAS THE SPECTACULAR TREE GOING FROM THE KITCHEN AREA UP TO THE CEILING OF THE BUILDING.
WE WERE SUPPLIED WITH A FRIDGE, KETTLE, TOASTER AND MICROWAVE.
THE LOCAL PUB, MICKEY FINN'S WAS LESS THAN A MINUTE AWAY AND THE FOOD WAS AMAZING AND THE LOCAL PEOPLE SO FRIENDLY. THERE IS ALSO A CHIP VAN AND A CHIPPER OUTSIDE THE GATE AND A SHOP ACROSS THE ROAD IF YOU WERE STUCK FOR ANYTHING. I CANNOT FAULT RIVER VALLEY HOLIDAY PARK AT ALL, OUR STAY WAS AMAZING AND I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK.
WELL DONE.
L. M.
Great place family friendly. Lots of activities in a very safe environment. Plus you can bring bikes scooters too
E. d.
Lots of kids activities which have to be paid for. I find it restrictive with our dog as the beach is a drive away. I'm not keen on here but that is just my opinion. I just feel that something is missing!
g. l.
Really enjoyed our time there kids loved it close to a lot of activities and areas of interest. staff were all very nice will definitely go back
A. O.

E. C.
Fantastic facilities for children and great pub/restaurant for the grown ups
M. L.
Not very impressed with River Valley, wasps everywhere, one of the kids had a can of orange and they attacked it, she had to drop it right outside the tent door, we had at least 30 of them buzzing around until the sun went down, also it's outdated, it could do with a pool, and a real petting zoo, not a cage full of animals, the kids loved it, that made it ok for me, we decided we wouldn't go back here again unless we hear it's been updated in the future
K. S.

Spent two nights last weekend in the brand new glampotel! We had the best time. It was only an hour from Dublin airport. I meet a group of old friends and their kids. It was the perfect venue for us to get together. We ate in the restaurant both nights but had lunch and breakfast on the tables outside our rooms, Kids were nowhere to be seen most of the time; off playing foot golf, or crazy golf or go karting or archery. It was great to be able to catch up with friends safe in the knowledge the kids were entertained and safe.
The room had a really comfy double bed and three individual singles, the tables and couches gave us loads of space to chill out. It was great to be able to fly in and stay somewhere so relaxed.
Will definitely do it again.
