The Galmont is a beautiful hotel. We stayed on a Saturday night, we didn't have dinner but the breakfast was fantastic. The bar on Saturday night was busy and there was a man playing the piano and singing. We had a great night, the staff in the bar are so friendly. The staff at reception couldn't do enough for us and you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. We used the pool on Sunday morning and it was the perfect finish to our stay. I will definitely be staying here again.

I stayed in the Galmont for 2.5 months. It was an wonderful experience in total. All the staff members were very kind and polite. I even caught COVID during my stay. The hotel staff made it very easy and smooth. Overall a wonderful experience and a great place to stay. This place is highly recommended for stay.

Amazing stay in the Galmont. The staff are what make the hotel - so welcoming and friendly. From check in with Clodagh, to the bar manager ensuring we had every thing we needed during dinner, I cant say enough good things! Breakfast was fab too. We especially enjoyed our time in the outdoor hot tub and cant wait to come back!

Lovely hotel, very clean, the water stations on each floor is a great idea.
Dropped one star as the cooked breakfast was cold and the gluten free toaster didn't work.
However ordered omelette the following morning and it was delicious and piping hot. Food in Marina's restaurant was delicious. Great atmosphere in Cooper's bar with the piano playing.
Lovely views of the lough.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay and will definitely be back

Staff couldn't have been nicer. I felt totally at ease during my stay, that Covid safety measures were in place. We ate in the bar & the food was amazing - I definitely recommend the creme brulee if it's on the menu!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for our anniversary and we couldn’t fault the hotel at all. All the staff were lovely & helpful. On arrival we were told we had been upgraded to the superior king room. The room was amazing and very clean, it even had a balcony.
The spa and pool were great also.
Only thing we were upset about was staying just one night. Will definitely be back again for a longer stay!

Stayed for two nights in a seaview room. The hotel is beautifully decorated and our room was spotless. The views from our room was stunning.
The hotel is walking distance from Eyre Square. Parking is paid, but hotel guests receive a reduced rate.
We had afternoon tea for two and would highly recommend it to others. The treats were delicious and there was a great selection of teas.
Spirit One Spa is also a must if you stay here.
Would absolutely recommend to others to stay here and will definitely return.

This hotel is a really nice hotel located just off Eyre Square. Accessible to everything. Lovely rooms, we had a fridge and got complimentary cartons of water and a coffee machine and all. Huge TV in the room as well. Really comfortable. The leisure centre and outdoor hot tub were amazing! The staff were very nice and accommodating. Only big downside to this hotel is the fact that you have to PAY for PARKING. We payed over €700 in this hotel between accommodation, food & drink etc, yet at check out we were still handed a bill of €9 per night for just simple parking the car. I personally think this is a really low blow from the hotel, if you’re going to charge high enough rates to customers, parking should be included/free. That would honestly turn me away from returning as I feel it’s just very unfair. Just unfortunate as there was nothing else to fault.

Very relaxing stay here for the bank holiday! Staff are excellent and coopers bar and food is sensational. Spirited One spa was the particular highlight with the thermal suites but the general ambience of the hotel puts you at ease, being away from the hustle and bustle of the Galway night life yet not too far that if you wanted to join it was a trek

Went on a 2 night vacation to the Galmont. Overall it's a good place, but I didn't like the following.
1) We booked a king size bedroom. The bed was actually a 2*double bed and so huge.
2) The bed didn't have a headrest. The wooden back was actually the headrest which was soo annoying.
3) The bed had only 4 pillows which were not comfortable. 4 star hotels are known for having comfortable pillows but this didn't.
If you enjoy a good rest/sleep, on a comfortable bed then I wouldn't recommend Galmont.
On a positive note, staff was exceptional and very friendly(especially breakfast staff), indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi were great.

Excellent stay as always. We stay every year at Xmas. Its Pure luxury and relaxation. The only thing I was disappointed by was the wait at the bar for drinks and the cocktails were very poor unlike other years.

Went to the Spa and got a 120 minute hot stone massage. I have to say, I was really disappointed. The pressure was so light the entire time 😭. I don’t even want a very hard massage, but with the pressure I got I honestly didn’t feel relaxed and I don’t think there were any therapeutic benefits.I was wondering when the massage was about to start.
The thermal suite was nice-although a bit tacky. I’d prefer less coloured flashing lights and more classical rooms like the steam room. The showers were broken (the steam portion broken) and need to be updated.
The pool upstairs was ok-although when I went there were screaming kids which was disappointing. I work a lot and wanted some quiet alone time. Both hot tubs were literally lukewarm.
Used the float tub as well and it was lovely, although also lukewarm.
Moving from Canada, I’m actually cold in Ireland all the time. Housing (and even workspaces) here don’t have central heating, so it’s taken a lot to adjust to feeling freezing cold all the time and seeing my breath indoors, and not having a bathtub in my rental.
So I was hoping to treat myself and warm up at Spirit One. The hot tubs were really disappointing as was the lukewarm float tub. I just wanted to feel warm for once, and sadly didn’t.
I enjoyed being able to relax in the lounge and the thermal suite for a few hours, so those were somewhat redeeming qualities.

Lovely hotel, it's just a bit cold looking on entering. It could do with a bit of warming up on the interior side. Otherwise it was lovely. staff are great , very helpful and pleasant. Didn't get to go to the leisure centre but again I'd say it's well kitted out. Their cleanliness and sanitisation is excellent. Just warm up the oul lobby a bit and make it more inviting.

Great tidy rooms. Beautiful view from the 4th floor.
The service could have been better but that might have been due to new years.
All in all. Would like to stay at the galmont again!

Gorgeous hotel, great location. The staff were all so friendly despite being very busy. Parking for the night was €8. The spa was nice but the changing room situation is a bit weird, you have to go up to the gym to change and pay €1 for the locker, so lots of traipsing around before you can relax.
D. P.
The decor of the hotel was gorgeous, rooms are lovely. Unfortunately the staff are just all over the place. Expect major delays in the most simple request. Avoid Coopers food food - not good. Marinas restaurant on the other hand is a 10/10. Phenomenal.
The Spa is the best part of the hotel. The staff were incredible, the amenities are great although it’s slightly over priced.
To be fair when things went wrong management acted quickly and made it right.
I would visit again.

The staff are so helpful and nice, nothing was too much trouble. They facilitated an early check in which was brilliant as I was graduating from college and wanted to get ready. The room itself was lovely, the bed was HUGE and very comfortable. Getting food was easy even though I am a ceoliac, the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent. We'll definitely be back! Thank you!!
I. M.
Absolutely amazing, beautiful hotel. Staff were amazing. Breakfast buffet was out of this world. Would recommend everyone to stay here when visiting Galway..
T. M.
Very good hotel. Clean, good atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Food very good.
Drank in hotel lounge during our stay, but the bar service was very slow.
G. M.
My husband son and myself spent 3nights here over Christmas second year in a row we had a lovely time hotel is spotless very nicely decorated for Christmas and very central the food is amazing especially the Christmas Day lunch the staff are fantastic very pleasant and helpful we witnessed a lovely act of kindness on Christmas Day (lunch time) by a member of staff to an elderly couple the lady seemed to have had a stroke and couldn’t feed herself the male member of staff assisted her with feeding so her husband could have his lunch he was very patient and courteous and this was at there busy time well done to everybody
C. M.
My husband and I stayed at the Hotel last week and treated ourselves to an upgrade on the 5th floor. WOW! what an experience!
We had breakfast both mornings and dinner both evenings. Food was exceptional. Staff are very friendly. Absolutely will come back.
J. W.
Really lovely staff... Food fantastic... Beautiful room... Great Cocktails... Everything
100%....

Lovely hotel, staff could not be better. Rupert at Reception was exceptional. Breakfast great. Outdoor patio area with large umbrellas, heaters and lovely view. Room spotless. Short walk in to town.
m. S.
Clean, comfortable accomodations near the center of Galway. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious as well! Friendly, attentive staff and thoughtful details have made it a wonderful stay. We highly recommend!
J. B.
The service here was killer. I stopped in a sunday morning after a sesh. The food was on point. The atmosphere was nice and there were plenty of staff to cater the many customers. I would stop in for breakfast any chance you get. Only complaint: Tables were a bit crowded for getting to and from the self serve breakfast counter without bumping into other tables, but didn't take away from the expirence.
R. O.
Beautiful hotel. Room was small but had everything we needed. Bar, reception area was beautiful. I would recommend this hotel for it's central location, short walk from Eyre square
K. H.
2 hours to get room service, no apology for forgetting us. Ordered 2 drinks charged for both but only received one, didn't receive our breakfast after the second night, took €5 off our bill for these problems. Room was lovely though.
R. S.
Nice hotel. Comedy gig well catered for. Tables provided for drinks and not overcrowded. However all ladies toilets were blocked that evening!
P. B.
Enjoyed our stay at the Galmont. We had a large room on the child free fifth floor.
The hotel was operating under strict Covid regulations but coped well.
There was only outside dining in Galway City so we ate in the hotel each evening. The food and service was to a high standard.
The room was spotless, the large bed was very comfortable.
Clodagh at reception was a star.
The hotel is nice and central although we had to pay to use the hotel car park.
R. P.
Room clean & comfortable staff helpful & friendly. Bar menu as you would expect burgers, fish & chips etc but was very nice. Only let down for me the chaotic buffet breakfast - I had my cooked breakfast almost eaten by time tea & toast arrived. Didn't bother second morning plenty of options in Galway with its café culture. Hotel was centrally located to visit Galway without having to get back in the car. Will stay here again. Underground car park but limited space so check in early or park in coach station car park opposite.
R. V.
Great experience here. Bedrooms were very nice and clean, and breakfast was delicious.
J. L.
Our 'go to' place to stay in Galway. Great location, very convenient to train/bus station. Excellent service and facilities.
F. L.
Great hotel. Nice facilities. Easy walk to city centre. Great choice of breakfast. Friendly staff
I. C.
Situated in the heart of Galway a modern hotel with excellent helpful, cheerful staff ! Rooms are modern but bathrooms need updating. Overall a great place.
D. K.
Spotless clean hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. One of the cleanest places I've visited also. Lovely views of the lough from the outside seating area too.
C. M.
Called up on the afternoon of our stay and luckily there were rooms available. Was given an exec suite for same price, room was fabulous as was leisure centre. Definitely recommend!
B. T.
The Hotel was excellent very clean. Very under staffed and very young. Restaurant manager was rude. Bar staff were brilliant. Would go back but .they need to change there services.
B. s.
Absolutely beautiful Hotel. With the most friendly staff and great food. I would highly recommend it.
m. m.
Lovely hotel. Great food. Clean rooms and nice pool. We will return again.
e. m.
Weak shower. Room wasn't cleaned until we asked... stayed 3 nights. Parking 9 euros per day. Not good value for money.will not return here . Only plus is nice pool breakfast & staff
c.
Nice clean hotel we had a dinner in the bar Cooper's a lovely girl Caitlin more than helpful hope to return great location 👍
B. G.
Lovely hotel. Great rooms. Very slow service with drinks and room service. Unable to get in touch with reception/ room service/ anyone at all. Would expect better service for 410e per night
B. M.
The service in the hotel was amazing the staff was so friendly and helpful, the room was big enough nice view , the only issue I had was the breakfast was not nice at all and some cups or forks I got weren’t clean they had the forks in a package where you couldn’t open it but there was still a bit of food stuck to the fork ... everything else was perfect the hotel is only a 3 minute walk or less into the city and right beside the train station ... I’m giving the 4 stars because the staff were amazing fair play customer service is phenomenal !!!
S. F.
We had a lovely 1 night stay myself and a friend rooms were spotless food was nice location was perfect. Disadvantages were the charge for the carpark even though we were residents. The outside hot tub was not working which was the reason I booked this hotel. Staff were average not very friendly, all business not very personal experience. Queues for check out were ridiculous.
C. C.
Lovely room. Food excellent. Only complaint. Not enough staff those that were there were brilliant run off their feet. Terrace littered on Saturday night. Sanitisers empty. Loved REAL hangers.
Would stay again at less busy timr
P. C.
Giant cosy beds. Great blackout curtains. Outdoor hot tub is a lovely touch. Breakfast was good.
R. F.
Good hotel ,good staff and service ,nice pool and food and rooms were very nice.
Needed more on reception, and 2 lifts in a hotel that size was a planning oversight.
Seen many guests waiting for periods of time.
T. O.
We spent a night here on our way home from Donegal, it was a very pleasant evening with really good food and wine and very helpful staff. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was spot on. Well worth a visit

Personally I think this was an ok hotel. We stayed for 2 nights for €400. I really appreciated the extras that were provided for the birthday, a candle, they sang for my fiancé at dinner. It was lovely. The room was nice and clean as well with a nice river view. The gym was also good. And location is close to the city.
But I found some of the staff either miss communicating or forgetful. We asked for towel and some more tea for our room. They haven’t brought it up for ages so we left for the town. When we got it they gave us lots of coffee sashes instead of tea bags. They didn’t give us new towels every day, or more water I think the hotel may be very understaffed. Breakfast tasted like a cheap hotel buffet. It made us both feel a bit ill every morning. My fiancé asked for a cappuccino, had to get up to ask for it again. It was brought when he finished his food. The spa facility wasn’t that amazing the one thing that redeems it is the outdoor hot tub, but all of it is also available to the public, so if you come down on a busy day when the public comes you may not even get the chance to use it. And the whole pool and the area felt a bit too cold. I was shivering swimming.
The thermal spa costs extra, we’re told it closed when we came in even though later we saw someone come out of it. This did not feel like a 4 star hotel. It’s over priced for the service we got and not to mention also the €9 parking as well per night.

We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The receptionist was very professional and helpful. He checked us in soon as we arrived eventhough it was still early as we were coming from a long journey. We also booked a dinner in their restaurant and I have requested a celebratory dessert last minute. However, staff named Jacinta made it possible to still get it for us. She was very polite and welcoming. Overall our stay was fabulous, hotel was very keen with the covid restrictions, hand sanitizers available and social distance markings. The hotel is maintained with cleanliness, spotless and staff are very friendly. Definitely recommend!
F. K.
Beautiful hotel. Staff very efficient, friendly and helpful.
Beautiful room
Food was excellent
G. H.
Very quick and friendly check in. We booked a sea view but it fell short as I would consider it as a lake view instead. The bed was very cosy but the room could do with extra attention to the standard of cleanliness and maintenance We were disappointed not to be able to secure an appointment for the spa even though we had booked in advance. Service in the restaurant was friendly but very slow. Food was nice. Afternoon tea in the bar was amazing, the food was really nice. We booked the pool for an hour slot but sadly due to covid felt it was too busy to be able to enjoy the sauna and outdoor jacuzzi. Our first night sleep was a dream but sadly on the second night their was a lot of carry on on the floor we were on and had fully grown adults roaring and shouting and banging on doors until all hours of the morning, swapping and changing rooms and blaring music. I u deed rand other people are enjoying their holiday too but felt it went on far too long to be deemed acceptable. I was shocked with the level of customer service on our last day, we tried to go to the bar for food before catching our train and were told that because we checked out we weren’t allowed in.. this was pretty inconvenient considering we had no reservation elsewhere on a busy Friday evening.. especially with covid restrictions everywhere. It wasn’t a nice way to end the holiday. I’m sorry to say that it did not live up to the expectation and it certainly was not worth the money we spent on two nights.

Gorgeous hotel and lovely friendly staff. Really enjoyed my stay here

Lovely hotel great location, very friendly staff. We received a complementary upgrade on our room which was a lovely surprise. Spa staff and leisure club staff also lovely. Will definitely go back and would highly recommend the hotel. All Covid guidelines followed

Very nice location and very convenient, close to a train station, food was just ok, rooms ok as well, windows missing web curtains, just at standard level.
A. L.
Fabulous hotel, very suited to both couples and families. Customer service is fantastic Rasmus checked us in and was very welcoming. The booking stage was very accommodating by Aine and Maria in the spa was an absolute pleasure to speak to. Then Mark in the leisure club was fantastic, our baby had her first swimming pool experience and loved it, the family changing rooms are a huge plus! Breakfast was plentiful with alternatives such as soy milk for my cappacino. The bar food was delicious, try the goats cheese salad, it is by far the best I've ever had! The steak was cooked beautifully also. We look forward to returning in the future. Thank you Stefan and team for a wonderful stay, being first holiday with out baby girl, you all made it a truly special one.
R. O.
Top class except for shower , old dangerous very little power. Can't believe they don't have walk in shower.

Fantastic staff. We loved our time in the Galmont hotel
A. M.
Lovely Staff , helpful and friendly .
It was clean and perfect for city centre, didn't hear one seagull in the morning.
Food was okay , limited options for vegetarians on the dinner menu . No recycling bins in the roomsor lobby areas just rubbish bins .
B. C.
Really nice modern hotel. Dinner in restaurant was good, breakfast was amazing.
E. O.
No Atmosphere and Restaurant Food incredibly poor. First Hotel I ever stayed that the bottle of wine was left on table , not poured and not asked to taste. Shocking Service. like a canteen , no tablecloths on tables
S. M.
Gorgeous hotel with all the amenities and a very helpful staff.
D. b.
Fab hotel, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Spotlessly clean, Food excellent, breakfast fab. Room and facilities were excellent just 1 problem the pillows were too soft for me even with getting an extra 1. The bed was so comfy.
To the entire staff well done and top marks ye were so friendly its a credit to the hotel management should be proud of ye , the guys in the leisure centre well done so polite and friendly too.
The hotel is nicely situated in the city centre which I liked.
I have 3 matters that should be addressed in my opinion.
The hotel had excellent covid policys in place, but lacked where a small percentage of customers were not wearing masks while walking around the hotel public areas, this needs addressing.
2. the car parking is a bit pricey for guest at the hotel, yes I know its a city car park but it is the hotel car park which makes a difference 9e a night is a bit of a rip off im sorry to say.
3. information on the hotels covid procedures for the room hygine policy should be displayed in the rooms just so the guest knows that the rooms are not cleaned for ur stay and that you have to ring for towels etc for the room.
Other than that an excellent hotel and will be back, but with my own pillow.
S. M.

I got a warm welcome from the gentleman on the front desk on arrival. In the current climate I felt very safe, the hotel is very well organised. My room which looked down on the Corrib was immaculate, the bed was very comfortable - loved the pillows ! The food in the restaurant & the lounge was delicious. The staff all over the hotel were helpful & very polite.

The Galmont is a magnificent hotel the minute you walk in the door you can feel the warm welcome From all the staff the hotel is beautiful and very clean and the food is divine I loved getting up every morning to my breakfast I had everything I wanted to eat when you got your tea they would bring you toast in a beautiful basket with crossants and muffins 😋also the amazing dinner omg the steak just Delius the spa treatment I enjoyed 2 days in a row I think I will never forget the Galmont hotel and I've been in quiet a few over the years it was a fantastic experience to stay there Evan at reception was a lovely welcoming guy I highly recommend Galmont hotel for a break away I'm going back again soon the room had everything I needed and loads of milk and tea and I was only a walk away from salthill perfect for eresqare seconds away I can't wait for my holiday away again
S. C.
Hotel reception and restaurant were very nice ....but for 240 a night the room wasn’t the best also had to pay 9 euro for parking for one night and got two bottles of water sent to the room which we ended up having to pay €14 for ...wouldn’t go back again
A. H.
This was the first weekend of opening after lockdown so it was a different experience than it would normally be. Based on that it was still a good stay. The staff were very friendly and coped well with dealing with social distancing, keeping everywhere clean etc. The food mostly very good, except breakfast food was a bit cold. The room was very comfortable and a nice size. It is in a good location, a couple of minutes walk from city centre. Would definitely recommend the hotel and look forward to returning when everything gets back to normal.
A. P.
Lovely hotel and staff very friendly.
J. W.
Nice stay. I liked the colorful decor and staff was friendly and helpful.
R. M. M.
We attended the faulty towers dinning experience and it was excellent entertainment and delicious food
P. d. V.
Haven't got this one quite right. Good location and good food but the decor and layout could be improved.
M. E.
Pretty good stay at the Galmont, rooms are great, hotel modern and looks well. 5 min walk into the city, nice breakfast.
Cons:
* Have to pay for parking and get your ticket validated every time you come and go(being able to scan your room key would be better)
* Dinner in the main restaurant was just ok for the price, give it a miss and vist the great places in Galway city.
* Room is not servied during your stay so have to request if need clean towls, sheets, water ect..
* Pool was busy both times we went, booking is in place for covid but seems like there is too many people per session.
L. S.
One of the best spas I’ve been to. Relaxing, staff are great. I will be back.
j. b.
Very good food and exceptional service unfortunately could not set the air below 19(69)
B. F.
Was here for a 2 day wedding. Excellent in every aspect. Such a well run wedding with superb food. Could not fault. Love clean room for our 2 nights stay. And what can I say about the breakfast selection
Best I've ever had and I've had quite a few.
V. O. c.
Had an amazing stay.excellent service overall.was upgraded to bridal suite which was amazing.staff very helpful
S. H.
Carpets in the bedroom needs a good clean. A wash wouldn't go amiss. Restaurant is average at best. Didn't get what we paid for.
G. D.
Amazing place to have an experience with their Leisure Centre, Spa and staying
J. B.
We stayed two nights at the Galmont Spa and Hotel in a family room. The room was nice but a bit cold at start but got better. Really good beds.
The breakfast was a classical one but good. We tried the pool and it was good. However kids below the age of 12 were not allowed to do anything but access the main pool. However there were some treats within the pool that made it a bit special. Bubbles and such.
The location was central but still a bit off. Nice parking spots in the garage for 9 euros a night.
We want to return...
C. O.
It's my second stay here. Great spot, attentive staff and the food is great. My advice is if you're coming here for the spa then make sure you book your in advance. I wanted to book in for a massage but both times there was no availability.
Great spot in one of (if not the) best city's in ireland
M. Q.
My daughter and I stayed overnight and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were so helpful and nice. We booked into our room at 1pm and we were allowed to keep the car in the carpark next day till 9pm even though we had booked out. The hotel is conveniently placed for shopping in galway city.
A fantastic experience and we will return.
c. d.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere, lots of soft comfortable seating in bar & foyer. We had a problem with our bathroom but were moved to another room immediately. Rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable. Thermal suite is excellent...checkout "the beach " room .
D. O.
The hotel is lovely. The spa is really nice, and the outdoor hot tub is great.
We were on a package that included dinner, but the restaurant was closed, so we were in the extended bar area. The food was nice, but the service was poor enough, it took almost 20 mins to figure out what menu we should use and the attention was sparse. Granted it was a Sunday, but just a bit disappointing, especially considering how nice the hotel is.
I would recommend the hotel, but perhaps eat elsewhere, there are many very nice restaurants in the city.
K. N.
Top class Bar Food served in comfortable sirroundings.
T. j.
Great place to stay, food was lovely breakfast very well organised.
A. M.
Huge room, huge bed, great gym and spa facilities and the breakfast is great! Very quiet at night and comfy bed. I would like to see the bathroom a bit more modern, with a walk in shower however the towels were so soft and loved their initials.
F. O.
The hotel is nice and a great location. The room was clean, modern and a good size. I am deducting some stars because the kettle in the room was broken and the service in the restaurant was awful. We must have been waiting for at least 30 min for orders to be taken. One starter never arrived so we had to wait some more for that. I ordered the mussels and they were pretty poor, a lot weren't open and most were undercooked. They then got the bill wrong so we had to wait some more for that. Nice hotel, just don't use the restaurant.
G. A.
A very good hotel with wonderful service, facilities and food.
P. L.
Liked the Galmont. Nice and relaxing. Clean and well maintained. Bed was great! Best nights sleep in a long time. Pool is nice also. Breakfast good too. Would stay again, no problem.
G. N.
Luxury stay walking distance to Eyre Square in Galway City. The staff are very friendly, all covid measures are visible and make you feel safe. The spa is worth a visit too. They have many treatments and great to relax in the Thermal Suite after which you need to book in advance

Excellent hotel,great service lovely food

I am not used to high-end accommodations, so I felt extra special staying here. This hotel was pretty amazing. The open elevator was fun. The beds were comfortable. And the breakfast buffet was delicious. Everything was top notch. They very kindly kept our luggage until later in the day so we could spend some time on Shop Street in Galway City.

Very quick check in, Evan was very efficient, friendly and professional. Room 154 clean & tidy. Breakfast room is very spacious, breakfast isn't of high quality. Ben looked after us for our tea & toast. Good man! I'm not a huge fan of hotel food, again the Galmont is no different. Everything is on the lower scale of quality. Scrambled eggs made in the microwave just destroys the flavour. Pre made pancakes & low quality bacon. We need people to actively challenge hotels on the quality of food as we pay a high price for a stay, the least we expect is a high quality breakfast. Come on Galmont, no more scrambled eggs in the microwave & increase the quality of the produce. Chefs serving breakfast were a great laugh.

The hotel is amazing room's fantastic and the spar is out of this world
It does have a problem with congestion at the lifts as you can be left waiting for quite some time to go up or down especially if you're trying to access the car park. it does have stairs but they're very hard to find
The breakfast is first class with everything you could want or need.
But the evening menu is a bit limited and maybe because it was so busy not quite at the high standard that I'd come to expect nothing wrong so to say, presentation really nice it had a good flavour but just wasn't anything special certainly didn't leave me wanting to go back which is a pity
as I say maybe because it was busy but that's the only reason it's a 4 not a 5

We were upgraded to a top floor suite as we were celebrating a special birthday. The accommodation was wonderful with panoramic views of the lake. The food was delicious however the service was terrible, we started our meal at 7pm and by 10pm we were ordering our desserts. Now in fairness there was a major function going on and the restaurant was full, so the staff were rushed off their feet, so really it was poor management/organisation. Now having said all the above I would still happily visit again.
B. F.
Absolutely excellent hotel. Was there for a wedding weekend and it could not be better. Superb service and staff. Food was excellent. Room spacious and comfortable. Fabulous breakfast. Such choice. Will be back

My husband, our 2 year old son and I visited the Galmont today for Sunday brunch and found it to be really excellent. The manager and staff were so helpful and professional. The food was really fresh and tasty and there was the perfect selection of starters, mains and desserts with a glass of prosseco to start. The restaurant was so relaxing with gorgeous views of Lough Atalia. There was a kids playroom just off the dining room with plenty to keep the little ones occupied and we weren't charged for our sons food which was a lovely touch. Will definitely visit again!

A fantastic family friendly hotel...... But...... That lift system needs looking at. Whilst security is good if you haven't got your key card it can be a bit awkward. Hotel was nice to stay in bed was comfortable shower was good and the room we had , had excellent views.
The swimming pool facility was family friendly and great. There were some kid toys around for them to play with. The pool was not deep about 4.5 feet and there is a small toddler and baby section.
Beer was reasonably priced in the place. Sky sports needs working on very patchy!
This place is really close to the town centre.
E. F.
Really great stay here, location was perfect. Breakfast, it seemed they were understaffed, was difficult to get a coffee etc, but staff were friendly and apologetic. Dinner (Sunday 29th Dec) in the restaurant, we couldn't fault it. The younger waiter was terrific, coming from a hospitality background I was very impressed. Will definitely recommend!
B. R.
Very Clean Hotel, Centrally Located, and Excellent Food.
Hotel Staff is amazing is an understatement. They go above and beyond to make every guest feel welcomed and are extremely helpful.
100% Visit Again

Location is great as its within walking distance from Eyre Square and city centre. Reasonably priced and decent breakfast, rooms leave a little to be desired and could do with tidying up a few things although they are clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful, food is decent but lots of places close by.

As our bedroom wasn’t ready until after 5pm, our Christmas one night break didn’t get off the the best start. It was only made worse when we arrived to the room which was sub zero temperature.... probably hadn’t been used for a while. To be fair, they did change the room when I highlighted the issue. The following morning the Q for breakfast was about 40 minutes ....I couldn’t believe the amount of free tables In the restaurant when we eventually made it to the top of the Q. The hotel quite simply didn’t have enough staff to clear quick enough. All in, the staff were overworked and very polite while the hotel were evidently trying to save money at every chance. A real shame as a great hotel of old.

LOVE THIS HOTEL! You walk inside and in but a moment you've entered this beautiful, modern oasis...your new home away from home...in one of the world's most extraordinary cities!! The reception desk staff are some of the most gracious and patient people I've had the pleasure to meet and interact with... They set the mood beautifully. Everything about my room was soothing, inviting and most comfortable and quiet!! My giant bed was sooooo equally comfortable and soothing after long days of walking all over Galway... Just saying! The breakfast buffet in the very nice dining room was quite delicious and full of choices that should appeal to even picky eaters. The staff aim to make everyone happy and I think they succeed beautifully! I highly recommend this well-appointed modern hotel and the great team of personnel who all make it tick with great ease and excellence! I also HIGHLY recommend you request a room overlooking the backside of the hotel -- overlooking the water and the extraordinary views and skyline -- you won't be disappointed in the least! Bravo Zulu, Galmont!!
A. R.
Excellent All Round! We were lucky enough to get a balcony room on 5th floor!! So spacious!! The massive bed was so comfy. What a view outside. Already knew of its Super location as we stayed here before and will again. Loved the swim facilities, Esp the hot tub.
K. G.
Beautiful location. Hotel was spotless. Rooms very well thought out and modern design. Massive massive super king sized bed with soft pillows. Air conditioning. Turn down service was a nice surprise. Location excellent only a few minutes walk from Eyre square and Latin quarter. Hotel staff very knowledgable regarding locale. Well received information! Breakfast delicious and very good selection. Only issue was unsure of breakfast times as was not stated on arrival or in the guestbook. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Cannot wait to return!

Beautiful, very friendly staff, nice food

spent 2 nights a Galmont on arrival we spent 25 min just trying to get into car park as there was a function going on in hotel went to reception and it was very loud fair enough it was an occasion going on our room was small as it was a superior room it was a small bit grubby marks on walls and bathroom ceiling was very dirty. the room had a safe which did not work it had a fridge that was great, the view was poor we had a skip outside the window and woke us up being changed at 8.15 next morning ,the bed was big and comfortable. The staff are friendly and location is good not to far to city centre.Breakfast is super lots of choice and nice food over all we had a nice stay if it was same room I would not return ...
G. H.
Superb service and room quality, food excellent and brilliant atmosphere.
E. H.
Very nice hotel, staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean, and our King sized bed was the most comfortable that we had in Ireland. NOTE- STAY AWAY FROM MARINA'S RESTAURANT (see my review under the restaurant).
D. C.
Great hotel. Great location in the city. Jus toff the main square. Lovely bright rooms.
K. M.
Stayed at The Galmont for 4 nights on business trip. The hotel room was very clean and had a wonderful view of the Atlantic sea. The bed and pillows and duvet were a pleasure to fall into each night. Breakfast was fabulous especially like the bacon which was not the usual overcooked at other hotels. Very tasty. Staff were a pleasure in the bar even when hotel was busy. I have stayed before and brought 4 company colleagues with me thus time. I will be back. Thanks to all at The Galmont for making our stay relaxed and enjoyable!
G. M.
Absolutely terrific hotel! Friendly staff; a quiet room; a soft bed for a great night sleep after a day of touring Galway. The hotel is very close to shopping and pubs. But Cooper's pub in the hotel also pours a great Guinness! You can't go wrong stating here. Coming from overseas, I was very happy with my stay.
C. M.
Nice hotel, reception experience was great. We had hit and miss service with some of the staff in Cooper's bar. The superior rooms were definitely worth upgrading to. We had no view but great space. The hotel itself has a lot to offer. Spa and leisure centre, jacuzzi etc. 5 minute walk from Eyre square. Very central, nice Galway hotel.
B. R.
the hotel is fine in the wait staff are nice but this is not a great place to sleep. It says it is a 4-star hotel and some of the hotel might actually be that. It has a couple of wings and we wound up in the one across the parking lot from the entrance. The rooms were much less well-appointed and there was no air conditioning. Overall though, I would have to say that it was worth going and staying. I think I would drop this down to three stars though.
B. B.
This is a fabulous hotel, really well located, we travelled there by train and it was just around the corner, main square, shopping, restaurants and some tourist attractions all within walking distance. The rooms are lovely & the bedding very comfy. Food in restaurant was gorgeous. I'm a coeliac & anything that came from the kitchen was fabulous, the gf toaster at breakfast buffet was being used by people for normal bread which is only issue we had throughout our stay.. Definitely recommend it.
E. P.
The coffee at breakfast is very bad. Everything else is fine.
D. S.
Excellent location , good staff all around. Excellent front office staff. Very professional and helpful.
Good Breakfast. So many varieties. Freshly made. Great staff, willing to help.
Bar food are great. Supervisor Raj in the restaurant is a great operator. Excellent dealing with customers.
Room service is top class..Clean spacious room. Brand new condition.
Overall 10 out of 10. Great hotel..
e. k.
Lovely hotel close to the square and railway station.both about 6 minutes walk from the hotel. Leave the car at home and take the train. Easy walk to the many bars and restaurants that Galway has to offer. Staff at this hotel very helpful and great service.
G. M.
Great hotel .Central, clean and modern. Swimming pool, sauna and steam room great. Showers and changing room very clean. Also available is Spa and full massage and facial treatments on offer. Prices for pampering about average. Full Irish breakfast available. Tea coffee in room. Overnight parking 9 euro per night.
K. O.
Really great Hotel with nice friendly staff
E. M.
One of the best hotels in Galway.. Brilliant location (particularly if travelling by train) The staff can't do enough for you.. Presley on reception deserves a special mention for being so professional... But in a very natural and warm way.. Would highly recommend staying here
P. H.
One of the best hotels in Ireland beautiful food a breakfast to die for excellent staff
A. R.
Great spot, professional and courteous staff. Grand if you don't mind paying that little bit extra.
R. F.
Hotel is fine but what I don't understand is for a "five" star hotel in which you pay top dollar prices. You don't even get complimentary car parking. I've never known a hotel to charge guests for parking. Scandalous
P. H.
Wow great hotel , were very accommodating
T. d.
Great hotel, spent 3 days. Good breakfast, really nice staff, nice room. Only comment is it's a conference center and they had big groups, can't really falt them for doing good business though.
L. K.
nice pool an very clean in these times is that not we want!
p. d.
After a bit of a shakey start with the rooms third time lucky everything was up to a higher standard room was lovely food was excellent staff are very friendly and helpful overall really enjoyed our stay here would come back again 👍
S. O.
Fantastic hotel with all the amenities! In addition to the awesome free breakfast and huge room, we had a great dinner at the hotel. We also took advantage and f the fitness room and hot tubs. Just a quick walk from the main drag within Galway. Highly recommend the Galmont Hotel & Spa!
S. Q.
Really lovely hotel. Our room was really nice . Staff lovely too. Great views from our room. Only fault was after paying €180 for our room parking was €9per day but we would stay again.
A. K.
Fabulous hotel and staff everything from check in was wonderful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Meal in the bar was very pleasant followed by a man playing on the piano, never got his name but he was excellect noticed a few people requesting him to play at parties they had coming up. Excellent stay will return
J. L.
Plenty of parking. Nice lively hotel bar. Rooms are modern and too bottled of water provided each day.
The hotel is larger than you would think and our room was quite a distance from reception.
M. R.
A lovely hotel and friendly staff in the hotel
C. L.
Went for lunch and to use the thermal suite. Lovely experience...only had soup and salad but both were delish and the brown bread was 👌. Lovely thermal suites and relaxation room and also availed of the our door hot tub. We were there during the day and almost had the place to ourself but I could imagine it gets busy in the evening and weekend. Will definitely return
T. D.
This Hotel is ideally located for any visitor to Galway. Lovely spacious clean rooms, great breakfast and some perfect relaxation areas. We enjoyed our annual mini family break with our 3 adult children. I recommend you book a sea view room as it's a fine Vista the greet your morning.👌👏
D. C.
Nice hotel best in the area thanks see you soon
C. M.
I want to be fair here - hotel was mostly amazing. Pretty good location (although it’s a bit of a dodgy neighborhood, it is close to High Street, Eyre Square, and the waterfront. Food and accommodation were very good. However, I was leading a group of people and two suitcases were damaged by the porters. Things happen, I know, but to have to bags badly damaged shows real disregard on the part of staff for others’ personal property. Otherwise had an enjoyable stay. Particularly liked the hotel bar where there was a lively atmosphere for the Champions League Final.
B. M.
I loved everything about the Galmont. The food was great, and the service was excellent. The staff were wonderful they were all so pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble to them. Would definitely return .
A. S.
Lovely Staff and Hotel. Lovely outdoor area for summer time and pool
C. H.
Absolutely superb from massage to lunch.
D. D.
Great hotel, great location and helpful staff. We booked an upgrade online through a separate company, I didn't feel that I got and upgrade when I asked to speak to the manager he refunded the update charge and was very apologetic. Will return here again soon.
J. D.
Excellent hotel everything from start of stay to finish was first class staff were very attentive and polite will defiantly be back only a five minute walk to town centre the girl manager from donegal was so informative 5 star for me
J. G.
Just a warning for American travelers used to AC. Some rooms do not come with AC. The lowered rating is due reporting a broken phone in the room and requesting an extra fan to help cool the room and after being told they'd take care of it nothing happened. Overall a decent hotel and a great breakfast.
G. H.
We booked the Galmont hotel for me and my Fiancè. On entry to the hotel we were flabbergasted to see the beauty and cleanliness of the hotel. We were welcomed by the receptionist very politely and professionally. On arrival to the room we were pleased to see that it was quite spacious and warm. The bathroom was very clean and tidy and the bedroom was without fault. Beautiful beds and lighting. The swimming pool was excellent but the temperature of the pool was quite cold. We used to Jacuzzi instead because the water was very cold. The quality of the Jacuzzi was not great and the ten minute timer had us cold again. The advertised hot tub we seen during booking was out of order when we arrived and no water in it at all. The bar food was not to the standard we payed for, very overpriced for mediocre food. The restaurant and sushi bar was closed also during our stay so we didn't even get to enjoy a fancy meal in the hotel. The service in the bar was very poor. We had to wait over half an hour after we finished our food to get the bill and have our dishes taken off us despite asking numerous times. Although it was not busy. The pillows and blankets in the room were not very comfortable and had a plastic feel. The pillows would not fluff and just sank when we lay on them. Very uncomfortable. Woke up with a sore back.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, aside from the poor comments above it would have been 5 stars. We still enjoyed our stay at The Galmont Hotel and would come back again.
J. b.
Lovely relaxing hotel. Rooms spotless, food excellent and staff so competent and friendly
J. D.
The Spa would get 5 stars easily. Helpful staff, great facilities and exceptional treatments. Pure relaxation. The hotel however was a disappointment. Every member of staff we came across from reception, bar and restaurant were distant to say the least. Not one of them smiled once. The food was extremely lacklustre. Reasonably priced for a 4 star establishment but I couldn't finish my tasteless shepherd's pie, and I'm not a fussy eater. My partner didn't finish his chowder either. Many better chowders out there in the pubs of Galway. We ordered an extra side of mac and cheese to try to fill up but that too was disappointing. Fruit salad for breakfast was lovely but the cooked breakfast my partner had was dried and eggs not nice. Bed was absolutely amazing, the quilt, mattress and pillows made for the dreamiest night's sleep I've had in a long time. All other features of the room were outdated, worn or misplaced. Have used the spa in the past and will return many times again.
L. R.
Not impressed. The front facade of institutional yellow brick looks nothing like what we saw online. Bathrooms were old and poor. There are nicer hotels right downtown. Otherwise, the common lounge was nice, food was good & service was great. And Galway is spectacular.
A. F.
Excellent. Wonderful views of the sea from our room. Huge bed, excellent facilities, great breakfast choice. Lively bar with good food. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again.
R. M.
Great location and very nice staff.. plan away without a doubt for your next trip to Galway and enjoy the closeness to the city. I always liked staying at this hotel!
E. M.
Had a really lovely stay here, the room was perfect, comfortable bed, the mini bar was great too. Staff were friendly and helpful. The outdoor Jacuzzi was so refreshing. Would definitely stay again.
K. H.
Spent two weeks there on business. Standard king room was cozy, well appointed, and quite comfortable. Working space was quite good, and power outlets abounded both there and throughout the room. WiFi and Internet connection was sufficiently speedy for multiple devices at the same time. Breakfasts were divine, and often served as only meal required. It was quite easy walking distance to all the sights and fun places the city had to offer. In August there were several tour buses full of one night stays (with suitcases in the hall by 7:00), but they were handled well, and I didn't notice a decrease in service quality.
D. S.
Beautiful hotel friendly staff
E. C.
We had a great time and all at the hotel are to be commended for there great service and welcoming manner under difficult circumstances. Thank you very much 🖒🖒
c. d.
Fabulous room! Service was mediocre....
f. G.
Beautiful hotel, fantastic beds stunning views, staff were extremely friendly. We had dinner in the restaurant 10 stars just gorgeous can't wait to visit again.
M. B.
Beautiful staff are very friendly the place is spotless everyone is cleaning all the time food excellent location brilliant train and bus station right around the corner, could not ask for more
M. T.
Hotel its self is lovely and the staff are very helpful. Food is yummy. The only thing I was very disappointed with was the room. Bed was nice but the room itself was tatty. Paint chips gone out of the wall etc.
S. K.
Favorite hotel of our trip. Modern, clean, A/C, great views, and good location. Easy walking distance to pedestrianized city centre but tucked away in a corner so it stays quiet in front and behind the hotel. Nice bar deck out back looking over the bay.
M. P. C.
I have stayed at the Galmont (formerly the Radisson Blu) three times in the past four years, and it it is consistently clean, comfortable and has a friendly staff. The food is good (not great) and the bar is a bit slow in service, but it’s a great business hotel. The breakfast buffet is huge and quite good, but the catered food we had for our meeting dinner event was just okay. The terrace is a lovely place to enjoy the sea air and sunset over a Guinness.
S. S.
food nice. hotel overall nice . cleaning could be better
M. 1.
Great location, cozy and clean , staff 5 ⭐️
Cocktails to expensive is my only gripe . Best chicken burger ever !!!
W. R.
Rooms were nice, to use the elevator you'd have to insert your room card in the elevator (got a little confused over that) rooms are neat it's being renovated at the moment and there are 2 restaurants on the lobby floor. I liked it, still felt premium even after the renovations
V. C.
Fabulous hotel, loved our room and the level 5 views worth it for the peace and quiet. Had food in coopers lounge great food, friendly staff all round. Spa was amazing too.
C. C.
Nice hotel. Pleasant staff. Room and hotel in general was very clean. Comfy beds. Great location. The only downside was the view from our room.
M. F.
Second year staying in the Radisson Blu Galway. Excellent hotel, located near the train and bus station and in just a short walk to all the main city streets. The service and staff were great, very helpful and friendly. The hotel and room was spotless, breakfast was included with the room at no extra charge as well as the pool area.
The only real problem I had was with the key cards, they kept on stop working, I went trough five in three days, it became quite annoying.
E. G.
The staff were very helpful and welcoming. We stayed here on two occasions. I recommend a room with a water view! In the room they offer a selection of teas and instant coffee. There are wine glasses provided in the room and bottle opener. Great dining options and room service in the hotel, but the location of this hotel is within walking distance to the city center, tons of yummy dining options, and shop street. It is also right across the street from the bus station, so if you're traveling without a car this hotel is in the best location you could ask for!
m. t.
Lovely hotel will recommend it
M. M.
Beautiful hotel just a short walk to Galway City Centre. The family room was ample in size and quite comfortable. The breakfast was extremely good with many nice selections.
L. H.
Beautiful facilities. Clean and modern, with choice of several hotel lobby restaurants. Great food. There was a bizarre series of halls and two sets of elevators to get to our room, so the layout could have been better. Overall, highly recommended.
E. F.
Very professional staff. Safe environment. Great to be out enjoying ourselves.
Thanks Galmont
S. G.
Room with balcony was big and comfortable... Business Class room was smaller but still good ... Pillow bed quilts were all very comfy... Services was normal... Location little off town center Walking distance around 10 minutes...
A. B.
Best place to stay in Galway. My room had a direct view across the lake. I used to wake up every morning and stare at the lake watching the sun rise slowly over it from my window. The hotel restaurant served great lamb shanks. Location is just 2 min from bus and train station
A. P.
Solid option in Galway. A couple dings- Tuesday night the bar was insanely loud very late, only that one night. Even more annoying is that without A/C I had to keep the window open further inviting the noise in. The bar itself was not busy when we visited and all the barstools were cleared out which was weird. I guess they were doing this event
Spa was great, first time trying a thermal room. It's like a sauna with different themes, beach, Turkish bathhouse, rock sauna, aromatherapy.
The one big ding is the gross blood booger on the wall in the bathroom that greated us when we got in our room. We thought the housekeeping team would catch it on the daily room clean but they didn't. It in a very obvious place on a stark whit wall. How they keep missing this I'll never know. My guess is it's still there.
G. K.
John at receiption excellent! Very professional attentive n welcoming. Room 320 lovely. Spotless!! When we asked for more solid pillows we got them in mins. Breakfast was just amazing. Food excellent. Waitresses were very helpful n prompt in service. We'll be back. Ger
J. S.
Hotel is recently rebranded and they seem to be going through transitional pains. Parking was a little bit of a mess, the bar seemed disorganized and one elevator was out of order for a few days. But the staff were nice, common areas were great and the room was awesome. The location is also good, a 10 min walk from the square.
I'd stay here again in a second.
B. K.
A nice room more than friendly and helpful staff but a very peculiar design of hotel. We had to take a very long and circuitous route from the lobby to our room. It is pretty central and the city centre is a handy 6-10 min walk away.
E. N.
Visit the spa here a couple of times a year with my friend. On our last visit it was under renovations. Not a big deal. However, despite the fact I was told when we booked that they were "fully booked" and couldn't get a treatment for the same time as my friend... we were the only people there!?! I spent the time in the Thermal suite instead..which I had to myself... Disappointed not to get a treatment when meanwhile 3 staff stood around looking bored at spa reception.....???
J. S.
Just stayed in this hotel with my partner and I and we both loved everything about it....the rooms were great size great views the spa and pool unbelievable to b honest....and the the staff were so helpfull and smiled all the time and made us feel so welcome....so thanks great hotel
T. D.
Staff are not very friendly and the bar staff are very slow and unaware of customers waiting. I waited for at least 2 minutes during a quiet period to be served while 2 barman wandered the bar with their heads buried in the floor and surrounding shelves. It was only the guy fixing the fridges who made the barman aware l was waiting to be served.
Not on my shift as a bar tender.
A. S.
Lovely hotel very centrally located close to everything Galway has to offer coupled with excellent safety standards in line with Government recommendations on COVID 19
J. C.
Lovely hotel, delicious food, very central, five minute walk to Galway city centre. Drinking water amenities on every corridor
M. O. D.
Room was great Noisy though till 1 am. Rang room service they sent us up ear plugs. Breakfast was busy, but staff and food was great. Plus customers also have to pay for parking.
T. S. C.
We had the pleasure of playing at Gillian and Ray's wedding here last Friday night and we couldn't recommend it enough for anyone thinking of getting married there. Everything ran bang on time and the staff were amazing to deal with!
N. O.
Amazing stay. Everything was extremely clean and sanitised. Really nice food and cocktails and the room view was gorgeous
T. C.
Fantastic hotel everything done properly beautiful rooms excellent staff and views to die for will definitely be going back to this oasis again soon.
M. C.
My favourite hotel in Galway, excellent location, friendly staff and rooms are bright and airy. Also the ideal venue to run an event of any size for all occasions.

Galway's hidden gem of a hotel, for quality friendly service, quality delicious food and plenty available and selection at the breakfast buffet, spacious rooms , plenty of parking underground at a fair price.
I was at the Mayor's Ball in the main hall.
The night was well organized ,well timed with each act during dinner service.
Absolute professionals, the ball was one of the best nights I have had in many years.
Fundraising for deserving societies.
And to top it all the Stunning a Galway band received a well deserved award.
Hats off to the organisers / production company.
While in the background the Galmont staff were making sure everyone in the hotel were
Given the best service, with genuine pleasantries. A big thank you from me and our guests .
P. E.
Hotel was nice, staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was heated by two plug in radiators. The lift system is a lottery of what floor or direction it is going to go in, as a result it is slow. Also parking is extra.
b. h.
Amazing hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast was really nice. Food was lovely in the restaurant and you are only around the corner from Eyre Square
D. B.
Room was comfortable but was a little put off by a used baby nappy left in the waste bin in bathroom that wasn't ours, I was staying there for night away with my wife a present from her for my birthday and although she booked a double room what we got was two single beds pushed together with separate duvets and bed sheets so it wasn't that romantic, when we arrived the receptionist asked what time we would like dinner and we asked for 8:00 so after spending over an hour at the leisure centre when we got back to our room around 7 we received a phone call from reception telling us rather unapologetically that we would have to be down for dinner before 7:30 as that was part of the booking deal, which was news to us so we had to rush down. The food was very nice and service was polite and friendly which made up for the other negatives, our room overlooked the hotel entrance and function hall which had an event on with disco so loud thumping music kept us awake until around 3am, Overall it's far from the best 4 star hotel I've stayed in but maybe that was down to the special deal that my wife booked but having said that we do these special deals all the time usually in Kerry or West Port which were far better value for money and nicer rooms.
a.
Was disappointed with the service, it was a bit hit and miss. The concierge that checked us in, didn't tell us anything about the hotel except what floor our room was on and where the restaurant was for breakfast.
Our first room was dirty and disappointing, when we returned to the check in desk a very nice man (Dermot I think) was helpful and got our room switched after notifying the manager, and even walked us to our room offering to take our bags and to ensure we were happy. The second room was better.
Breakfast was a bit slow, they seemed short of staff, and we tried different times both days. I was sitting next to a man who was telling his associate that he had waited 25 minutes for coffee the previous morning and in the end went to his room to make his own.
There was no real information in the room pack regarding the spa that is supposed to be complimentary in the stay. This was the main reason I paid the extra to stay at the radisson.
After asking concierge information about the spa all they told us was there are lockers and changing rooms in the spa, and there's towels provided. When we turned up at the spa there were two staff manning the desk, we had to ask for assistance after dawdling a minute. We were then informed we needed to wear swimming caps (which was mentioned in the info pack) if we wanted to use the pool. This isn't mentioned on any of the sites when booking the hotel. We were then informed that the swimming hats were to be purchased if you hadn't provided your own and they were €3 each. We were told if we didn't purchase these we could only use the hot tubs and sauna. We had left our belongings in our room since we were heading down to use the pool and I didn't fancy a 15 minute walk to collect €6 so we used the hot tub and left. I was immensely disappointed as we were intending to book in for massages etc since it was our 10 year anniversary.
All in all I think it was one of the most disappointing stays I've ever had and it cost me £250 for the experience. We could have stayed at the local hotel around the corner and felt happier - which ironically is where we spent most of our time. Wouldn't stay again.
M. C.
For start to finish it was perfect. All the staff where so helpful and friendly. The room was just beautiful lovely view really clean and so comfortable
S. T.
Best hotel breakfast ever - huge selection of food!!! Lovely comfortable rooms & lovely view. Enjoyed the swimming pool & spa treatments. Bar food was disappointing though.

Really good hotel very nice experience. Excellent staff came here many times and will hope to come again.
P. K.
Excellent hotel. Beds comfy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!
C. M.
Stayed for 3 nights from 14 th oct to 17th oct, the rooms very clean and staff excellent and very friendly. Breakfast in the morning was very disappointing we were up early so the food should have been warm but everything was lukewarm and not very appetising, we decided not to eat any of the so called hot breakfast after first morning and just settled for cold meats and cheese. Don't think I would stay there again.
K. C.
The galmont was easy to find with underground parking at a very good discounted rate for hotel guests (€8), upon arrival we were given a room without a bath a quick call to reception and we were soon moved to a new room, in the older part of the hotel above the gym although you could here the music playing below this didn't overly annoy us. The room was adequate with a comfortable bed and all the modern facilities you would expect. The location is a superb 5 mins walk from central Galway. The choice at breakfast was very good with plenty of options both cold and hot.The galmont is a large modern hotel form the decor to the seemingly robotic staff who while doing nothing wrong just seemed to be going through the motions. If you're simply after a bed and good location the galmont is fine, it just lacks the wow factor for a truly memorable stay. I would not stay here again as there plenty of other options to consider in Galway city.
H. T.
View was nice, but the room (superior king) was not that big enough as it seemed in the pictures. Also, the towels in the washroom had some kind of a smell.
J. L.
Highly recommended... proper covid safe environment. Good food and proper friendly service. Great music ... social distancing 👍 10 out of 10 . Great staycation 👍
S. B.
Beautiful hotel with fabulous rooms. The outdoor hot tub is located looking out on stunning views. The location is perfect as you are within a very short walk of the city centre.
N. M. M.
No complaints what so ever. Breakfast is beautiful. Such a big choice of a buffet. They even have mini muffins & smoothies. Worth the trip for them in itself!!
M. C.
The staff in the spa were very nice and friendly.
The hotel was nice and comfortable , we were waiting three quaters of an hour for bar food to be served, when I asked for the bill , it was brought to me straight away
R. f.
great hotel
great location
only issue was bill you 9.00 a night for car after pay 420.oo for two nights + couple hundred spending in bar on food and drinks.
but fully enjoyed our stay ...
S. M.
Overall great hotel. The staff always willing to help, don't think they know the word no. The bar has just been refurbished. There is also a spa, pool and gym. I haven't used any of them so can't comment
L. M.
Service in restaurant was slow but staff seemed to be new so they tried their best
S. N.
Great hotel, large rooms with very spacious bathroom. Fantastic views from the bedroom.
Right in the center of town. Leisure center and swimming pool are excellent, very clean and friendly staff.
R. R.
Peter our cocktail master went above & beyond at our cocktail making class as part of our recent hen party experience. He’s was both fun and ultra professional and I have to say a great asset to the hotel.
J. D.
Great hotel with great management. Clean, great location, modern rooms, fantastic food and beverage. Would stay there again without hesitation.
D. S.
This is a great hotel . My wife and I have stayed in it many times. Staff are great rooms are great. The food there is nice too.I Highly Recommend this Hotel.
M. T.
Lovely hotel, gentle staff and super bed. Food was delicious, beautifully cooked and delicious veggie options. Leisure centre was an additional luxury after a busy day.
K. T.
Lovely modern and clean hotel close to local bars. Staff went out there way to help when i had an accident getting candle wax on a shirt and had it cleaned within the hour. Would highly recomend and will defo stay again next time im in galway
B. O.
Great hotel. Cooked breakfast not great. Breakfast staff very grumpy. Bar staff great very chatty. House keeping great. Having to pay for parking is not great. Very close to town.
D. W.
Excellent room size. Very comfortable bed. Great location. Very good food both dinner and breakfast. Very attentive to dietary needs. Nice lounge with good music
g. b.
Really enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, great food. Will be back for sure 👍

The entire hotel was amazing. The Marina restaurant inside the hotel was especially spectacular. Vincent, our server both nights, provided my wife and I with the best dining experience of our lives.
J. F.
Staff were lovely and so helpful. Food and drinks were amazing, best cocktails! Room was really nice and comfortable. I didn't want to leave.
K. S.
Beautiful hotel, lovely helpful staff, spacious room, huge bed. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
J. C.
Excellent place to sit and enjoy food and drinks while looking out over the sea side . Service was excellent and they are very clean and safe .
B. H.
Fantastic! Service excellent, room stunning, bathrooms luxurious, the thermae spa was heavenly, restaurant food lovely and to top it off they had a live pianist for entertainment Friday and Saturday nights who was incredible.
A. S.
This is unfortunately a three-star hotel masquerading as a four-star. It's clean, bright, airy and spacious, but the service was somewhat lacking.
Rooms: we had a family room - >king size bed and large twin beds. There were only round (European? American?) sockets on the bed side of the room (anyone with a sleep apnoea machine or wanting their phone nearby charging overnight would be screwed). Other side of room had two normal sockets - not enough for the two electric room heaters (needed!), floor lamps, minifridge, desk lamp, kettle - or things like our 4 phones and tablet...
Bar: Went to the hotel bar while waiting to check in (you can't check in until 4pm). Was told they didn't serve food there (it was the only place with a TV and I wanted to watch the France v Ireland 6 Nations game). At half-time, ran over to the restaurant where one person told me they couldn't bring food over to the bar; another told me of course they could (and she did). Better communication (and customer service!) needed. Bar counter was wet with spilled drink - only those waxy paper beermats available rather than actually absorbent ones. Nobody wiped down the bar counter while I was there.
Family had lunch in the restaurant, I got a sandwich delivered to bar - food was ok, nothing great.
Bar had usual Diageo brands, and local Galway Hooker Pale Ale on tap.
Breakfast is self-service buffet; unfortunately not many staff on, saw fried eggs were dry/congealed, other cooked food was lukewarm at best; waited 20 minutes for clean glasses to be brought out for juice. Disappointing, as a good 'full Irish' is one of life's treats when on holiday or a break.
Sunday night, Valentine's night, we were told they stopped serving cocktails at 11:30...
Parking charge of €5/day which is cheap, but obviously doesn't show up in room rate when comparing room prices. And to be honest, a hotel charging guests to park is just penny-pinching meanness.
C. L.
The hotel was very modern and clean. Had a great breakfast with beautiful views of the river and only a short walk to the square and shop street. Only downside is that you have to pay for parking.
K. M.
Lovely hotel and very good staff. The atmosphere was brilliant during our stay and the family room was excellent for 2 adults and 2 kids.
S. H.
Great stay. Hotel excellent, staff very friendly, food top class. Deffo reccomend this hotel
M. C.
Really nice hotel. Our room is quiet and clean. Very spacious. The view is nice when the weather cooperates.
k. p.
Clean large rooms, king suite was very comfortable. Great breakfast buffet to start the day. Good service.
M. P.
Standard issue hotel in good location for Galway. Beware, there is no policy to end functions at midnight. So if you get a room above the bar don't expect to get much sleep.
S. B.
Beautiful hotel, very nice, quiet, well taken care of. The servers in the restaurant were a bit cold and forgetful towards us, but the food was good, and the drinks were cold.
P. C.
The Hotel is really nice. My only problem was that I couldnt have a brandy and port in the bar as there wasnt any port. The service in the bar left a lot to be desired. Otherwise it was a lovely visit
G. B.
Hotel and spa were both fantastic. 5 minute walk from the train station. Very reasonable price too. Stayed 2 nights. Definitely recommend.
B. R.
Have stayed at the radisson a few times now.. within 5 mins walk from Eyre Square shops, bars and restaurants all locally accessible.. The hotel itself is amazing, great stuff.. great food and comfortable bar area. also a nice balcony view of the city
V. M.
A decent hotel with a reasonably good breakfast. Pool, hamam and sauna. On the downside, the air quality in the room was not good, especially in the bathroom. There are better places for these money, to my opinion.
M. B.
Awesome! Just caught by an unpleasant surprise when we were greeted after a red-eye flight by the rude American front desk attendee - who felt the need to insult the intelligence and eye-sight of my aging parents. Most likely from either NY, PA, or NJ, each day he stared down at the computer, never acknowledging the groups of guests as they enter the lobby.. It's not just the disappointment that he's not the friendly person I expected. It's just - I try so much so they don't think they're old. If you work in hospitality, why talk so condescendingly to guests? That's the family's job.
G. B.
Stay here anytime I'm in Galway . Close to center . Great bar and dining. Multistory carpark and spa/pool on site . Clean , modern and cosy. Very friendly staff .
T. N.
Awesome facilities, nice breakfast and welcoming staff. Good location, you can get anywhere in the city center in 10 minutes tops on foot.
G. L.
Nice rooms, and staff. Restaurant menu a little permanent. Good bar. Local to the town. Easy walk to Galway restaurants. Recommended
J. R.
Friendly staff - delicious nibbles - diverse entertainment: mainly the band but with guests in their best dresses for the Galway Races dancing away to the music, you couldn't help but smile!
P. F.
Great location friendly staff .Enjoyed piano man in bar. The after. dinner drink.,s and bar atmosphere was great.
G. H.
Had a great weekend stay here, with perfect location close to the city center and helpful and friendly staff. We will be back to stay on our next visit to Galway
C. R.
Breakfast was a bun fight. Comfortable beds, accomodaring staff. Best evening meal for groups that I've ever experienced. Spa prices prohibitively expensive.
S. S.
Great location and friendly service.
A. U.
Great food and facilities. The staff could be nicer. The room was nice and comfortable.
N. F.
Only stayed here for one nite room was brill and bed was top class good nite sleep and a very good breakfast.on check in it was fast and friendly.the only thing was staff were out numbered to guests in the breakfast room not staff problem but floor managers.staff where top class.hotels put there price up everytime theres a festival its the hotels that price themselves out off customers.and they always will.
D. M.
I only had to use the toilet but if there anything to go by,well I wouldn't mind staying there.spotless and the reception area very spacious and great view with the glass front.
D. D.
Staff are amazing here. Perfect hotel for getting away and relaxing..I especially loved the outdoor jacuzzi! Will definitely be back again.
J. L.
Watched the Limerick match here and had a toasted sandwich, was quite nice and reasonable enough price. Too many managers on and not enough actual staff though
R. C.
Very enjoyable experience whether eating, drinking joining the gym and pool or whether enjoying a day in the spa. Service is professional and kind and experience is great.
M. T.
Excellent desserts. Great choice of teas and coffee
Staff as always attentive and friendly.

Lovely clean hotel. Lovely food. Brilliant service. Rooms clean and comfortable.
M. M.
Service and food was mediocre. Spa & pool was good, loved the out door hot tub.
A. C.
Has got to be the best Spa in the west. No better way to spend a few hours relaxing than in their thermal suite after a fab massage.
T. M.
Superb evening at the Galmont. Thank you Karen for your wonderful hospitality. Everyone we chatted to, including Danny from the Coronas, was having a blast. See you again on Wednesday evening 🙏🙏
A. M.
Fab hotel and pool. Great restaurant.
L. A.
Didn't stay here, was just here for meetings, coffee drinks, in their lounge, bar and terrace. Lovely spaces, hotel prices, nice staff.
C. D.
Lovely atmosphere , friendly staff . Great food . Afternoon tea much better than other hotels in the area
d. r.
Left a jacket in the hotel and contacted Diarmuid and he was very helpful. He called me back when he had found the jacket and posted it to me.
Top quality service.
J. P.
It was ok. They forgot our room service, but did comp it to us once they finally brought it. On one hand, honest mistake, on the other, you have a job to do. The room felt as though updating was in order
A. O. R.
Lovely hotel. Would definitely recommend it. Rooms are spotless and the staff are very helpful.
B. C.
Great location and very friendly staff
T. M.

A. D.
Beautiful spa uptown in Galway, the staff is so friendly and accommodating. I had the Cleopatra Milk Bath Treatment, and it was relaxing and hydrating after I got off the flight.
P. S.
Theres a great little City Centre Gym attached to this hotel. Very convenient. Full gym, Spa, Sauna etc and pool.
D. T.
Nice place. Expensive but really comfy bed.
Parking charge shouldn’t apply to guests staying and paying up to €300 per night.
B. T.
Service excellent. Staff excellent. Food very, very good. Room very clean and comfortable. Easily 10/10.
A. J.
Huge party in the hall on the weekend at night. You can feel the bass in your room until 2:00am so stay at the bar or join the party, but don't try to sleep.
A. B.
Great rooms and restaurant, pleasant staff. The only thing that I would suggest is a renewal of the room bathroom. The toilet sound like a train when you flush.
B. P.
Nice hotel, exactly what you'd expect from a top hotel. Not cheap, but not overpriced. Spa and pool is clean and well maintained
o. o.

Attwned an wvent at The Galmont recently. Very dissappointed to see plastic glasses being used. Is the hotel unwilling to pay staff to clean glasses? What about recycliny?

Conveniently located in the heart of Galway.
Good food and most reasonably priced 4* hotels in the area.
P. M. (.
Was there for a fashion event so it was perfect. Large open spaces, clean and tiny, lovely spot of a coffee and relax or work on your laptop etc.
S. O. T.
Had a brilliant massage here before and a not so good one. All in all fabulous place, great ambiance and staff are lovely.
