I visited the Church of the Assumption on my way to the local Mosque. This church is dedicated the Holy Assumption. That is, the assumption that there is a God, and if your good, you can assume you will go to heaven. I assume its a Catholic Church. I assume I shall visit again, assuming God spares me of course. All praise to the Holy Assumption. Without it we would be only hoping.

I grew up attending this church. Nowadays it resembles an absent minded person's home, one who puts post it notes everywhere as reminders. There isn't a blank surface without something stuck to it.

I was married to Elizabeth née O'Driscoll on May 10, 1980by the beautiful and truly spiritual Father Riordan. I am SO, SO grateful that God put this American together with a real Cork woman of immense CHARACTER who came to New York and has been the GREATEST mom (4 wonderful children -ages 31,30,28,26- all University graduates SO proud they are IRISH as the day is long) the GREATEST WIFE- I am so undeserving of this gift from God and a Great daughter-in-law to my Mom and Dad- God Rest in Peace. I love this CHURCH, I love Ballyphehane and the surroundings- I worked at both the Lough Tavern and the Harp Bar- all of the O'Driscolls of Connolly Road, especially Lilly and Donal were and are THE BEST PEOPLE I KNOW! Praise God!
