Outdoor area is beyond excellent its inside outside ... bring a wrap or scarf to throw over your legs it's pleasant and warm but the legs get a little chilly...
Coffee is also fab..

C. B.OMG I just loved this little cafe. Staff were so welcoming, friendly and attentive. We had breakfast and boy was that some breakfast. It was fab. So much so that we asked where they purchased their bacon and sausages and went and bought some. Their brown bread was delish too. Will defo return to this very well run and organised Poppy Fields Cafe. Well done.
S. L.I would give 10 stars if I could! What a lovely place to stop mid way on a long M6 journey. The staff were so nice and friendly.
Everyone was very satisfied with what they got. From homemade burgers, very fresh fish goujons, Thai curry and I had the VERY scrumptious warm chicken tikka salad. Look forward to more visits!

The menu seems very nice and affordable too. One of the better cafes in Athlone that I have been in. The waiting staff are friendly and helpful and very much on the ball with greeting and assisting customers as I was only in the door when I was directed to a table
