S. B.The rooms were nice if not a bit basic, staff were pleasant and helpful. Ordered breakfast which was disappointing, one sausage, one egg and 2 bacon. I expected more on my plate, especially when other items were selected on the menu.

C. M.Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in, all thanks to the staff and management working here! I had to postpone my original booking because of a family funeral on the same day. So I rang the hotel to see if they could change it to another specific date for me, and I really thought they would say No and take the money I prepaid with... but no, I was proven wrong, and they changed the date for me, with no extra charge, thank God. Most hotels in Dublin would have said No, but this one didn't and I was very impressed with that! 👍😊 When I arrived at the hotel on the specified date, I was impressed by the big car park on arrival, which is free if you are a guest. The Receptionist was polite and very helpful. My room was nice and big. Having a choice between a bath or a shower was exceptional! 😊 The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The dinner I had was amazing, even though it was a set course meal for me. The breakfast was gorgeous and very hot, and it filled me up straight away after eating it. 👍😊
I loved this hotel mainly because the staff were so helpful and courteous. This is a hotel that believes in exceptional customer service, and I received it from start to finish. I would not receive the same service in a lot of 5 star hotels in Dublin!! So yes, I definitely will return here sometime soon. 👍😊

Family room had doubble bed single bed and a sofa bed ..
So spacious..room little cold bit a heater was brought up within minutes.. when heating came on ot was like a sauna 🤣🤣
We had few beer in bar watching football match.. our waitress Sarah was so pleasant and friendly.. little wobble with a tray but she was fantastic..
Dinner in the bar was outstanding..
Sarah again served us. We never got other barmans name .. but the athlone family say hi 😉and thanks to all staff for our first social distance night away was super.. we will be back ...

C. B.They where very kind, courteous and understanding over the phone. Food and staff where lovely but my one gripe would be not allowing my auntie and uncle to stay who live in Scotland. Not on the green list but there booking site allowed them to book with no warning anywhere?? pretty sure all my aunties and uncles who came for their sisters funeral from Northern Ireland where not on the green list either but that was fine.

R. A.Old world hotel quite classic. The public areas are rich. The restaurant and bar are a bit dated. Same is true for some of the furnishings. The staff are friendly the rooms are large and the furnishings are quite good. The bed in our room had past it’s prime and should be replaced. The bathroom was a good size and adequate. The breakfast was to say the least excellent. Great variety full Irish delicious breakfast. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel providing good value for money.

D. S.Stayed here recently. The check in staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and it was fine. I didn’t like the breakfast room the next morning, it was quite dark and the breakfast offering wasn’t particularly appealing.

M. B.Nice hotel, great location situated near the beach. Their Groupon add pins them in Dublin city centre...they are no where near it, at about 40 Plus minutes out. We were initially upset about the misrepresentation but then got to the hotel and it was lovely and the accessibility to the ocean was amazing. Breakfast was great each morning. Hotel staff was pleasant and courteous. Overall an incredible time!
F. H.Hotel could do with some decorating but rooms were clean and comfortable but while it was cold outside the rooms were too warm, we had to turn radiator down in our room. Staff throughout hotel were very nice except when my husband asked for more coffee for our room to be told it's only a complimentary service . Only disapointing thing was our choice of dinner included in our deal, it was off the Christmas menu and very limited though food including breakfast was lovely. Would definitely like to go back.

The staff at reception very pleasant and all the bar staff very nice and friendly. Compliments to the chef Derek because the food was delicious. I would highly reccomend this hotel to friends and family and so look forward to returning.

C. J. B.First of all, the pub is great. The snugs are nice. The wait staff was very accommodating to a a bunch of hard-drinkings Americans (Amis). The hotel itself was great. Always quick with a piping hot cuppa, and the rooms always had nice linens. Close enough to the ocean you get a great crisp sea breeze every night. Close enough to walk to anything you need. Had to do our laundry in the tub because #Americans we didn't bring enough clothes and they don't have laundromats in Ireland like they do in America. We took public transit our entire stay, which is also close by. Great experience! Would DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN.

T. O. d.We've stayed here twice in a family room. Have to say it's fantastic. Loads of room for 2 adults and 4 kids. The breakfast is great. Cereals, yogurts, juices, tea and coffee and a cooked breakfast.
Staff are wonderful and great with the kids.
Will definitely go back again.

Bus 101 outside door, brings you to airport in 20mins, and city centre in 45mins. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking a peaceful pleasant stay close to Dublin.
C. K.We had a birthday party for my 10 year old daughter today. The staff were so helpful from booking to serving food. I couldn't fault them. We had a brilliant day and it was reasonably proceed and the food was great. Thanks to everyone who helped us have a great day I would definitely recommend Bracken court.
N. M.Fantastic stay at the Bracken! Room and food were brilliant with live sport on in the lounge. Late check out at 1pm was a nice added touch! Prosecco, dipped strawberries and a couples quiz upon arrival 😉
D. H.Stayed from 12/08/17-16/08/17. Location of hotel in Balbriggan is good with train station and bus stop close by which go straight into Dublin centre.
Check in was straightforward and receptionists were pleasant and informative when asked questions.
Positives of room (506): spacious in size and storage capacity (although more hangers needed), ironing facilities, bath and shower, tea/coffee available, toiletries available, good views, comfortable bed once sheets were replaced.
Negatives: bed sheet was stained (and too tired to sort this on first night so simply used a towel to cover area), hairs in bathtub, carpet very worn in areas (always wear slippers). Those were the main points, others not worth mentioning.
Breakfast foods were tasty. Cereals, fruit, yogurt or warm option available. Hotel was not busy so there was always enough seating. Service staff at breakfast were courteous in greeting and quick to clean tables.
Overall this is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in compared to others. Thank you to all staff who made our stay in Ireland a good experience.

p. w.Hotel is conviently placed close to a small beach and train stop which takes a 40 min trip into the centre of Dublin. Train goes very regularly. The hotel is clean with helpful staff and excellent food. Caters for both restaurant and bar snacks. Rooms are also clean and well kept with bathroom having a bath and separate shower. There are several good places to visit within close proximity. All areas of hotel accessible for disabled users with ramps lifts etc. Highly recommend for an enjoyable getaway especially for those who like to visit and explore it is an excellent base to start from .
P. S.Fantastic hotel in the middle charming small town. Free parking in basement. Great view of beach from hotel room. Elegant wood furniture. Beautiful dining hall. Very friendly staff. Great cook. Wonderful Irish breakfast!

The hotel is dated and could use a lot of freshening up. Our room was spacious, but not very clean. The floor had clearly not been vacuumed. The paint was peeling off of the ceiling in the bathroom. The staff were all quite helpful and went out of their way to assist us on our first trip to Ireland. The location to the train, beach, and M1 are all great features. As another reviewer said, "Ok, but not in a rush to go back."
The restaurant was ok. Sunday brunch was tasty and the cook was lively and accommodating. He brought our food right out to us. However, Monday breakfast presented less cheerful service and the cook seemed inconvenienced by my request for a poached egg. This was the only place to get a hot, sit down breakfast in town on Monday.
Jack Doyle's bar is by far the brightest spot of our entire stay. We stopped in on a Sunday night and enjoyed the live music, good food, and festive locals. The Monday afternoon crowd was calmer, to be sure, but just as welcoming and jovial. The service, both times, was impeccable, attentive, and accommodating. I'd go back to Jack Doyle's any time!

S. S.Room was spacious, but bed was terrible as were the linens. Tea cups and saucers were dirty and there were several stains on the carpet. Lift from the garage didn't work and had no notification. Staff was very friendly though and the pub had decent food.

M. K.Rooms are somewhat dated and in need of a refresh. No fridge in our room, looked a bit scuffed in general - though fine for a nights rest. The milk (UHT) in the room was 3 months out of date to give one example. The staff however, absolutely lovely. The rooms though, not great views. We even updated to the penthouse (top floor) but really they need a bit of a spring clean.
V. L.I would give 3.5. Everything tidy. Reception nice. But few things... Hair dryer was not working. Had to go to reception to ask for another. One cup missing and girld brought cup when we were in room and me in undies preparing for shower.

Highly recommend Bracken Court Hotel to anyone visiting Dublin (the trip to Dublin from the hotel takes 40-50 minutes) or those who are visiting Balbriggan and nearby cities.

M. S.Very friendly and helpful staff, pleasant enough room and 4-night stay. Knocked a star off as some of the fixtures in my room didn't work such as the iron, safe and chair needed glueing/repairing and if turned tap on normally the force it came out meant you got soaked. However, I acknowledge these really are minor things. Wi-fi was usable and free. Obviously, a hotel that as added on to itself over the years so some interesting architecture and routes to rooms throughout. Would happily stay again.

A. O.This is our 'local'. The bar is nice and quiet and the food lovely. I haven't stayed there though. One negative is when a wedding is on, the tea and coffee reception takes place in the bar and it can get very busy and boisterous not bad normally but when the rugby is on its not watchable 😕

L. M.Very nice, pleasant hotel, the town Ballbrighan I was disappointed not much to see or do. Quite good easy excess to Dublin via bus or train for around 12 euro return. Overall I enjoyed my stay but wouldn't rush back
M. H.The city this hotel is in has seen better days, but the hotel is magnificent. It has a great breakfast and good restaurant, and is a bright spot. It is close to the harbor and the beach, where it is nice walking around, and has reasonable internet. The bed is good.
Expedia has this hotel listed as 'close to the airport' which it isn't, and it has it listed as part of Dublin, which it isn't. However, there are reasonable transportation options (bus, train) so if you're not in a hurry it is a good place to stay.

The beach is very close and there are some take away places around where you can get some chips from. d. m.Got a deal off groupon and went for a chillout day with the wife after dropping the kids to they're grannies.went on a Saturday so the bar was lively.they show all the sport on the tvs so seems the place to go for a match.both had steaks for dinner which were beautifully cooked and really nice.and staff were friendly.will definitely be back.
