I absolutely love this place. Everything is delicious. The Manooshet is a great size and very filling. The picnic plate is a great option as you can order smaller versions and taste the different flavours, all amazing. The bread loaf is always warm and fresh, just divine with the toppings - hummus is my favourite. The Palestinian coffee paired with the staff dates is an incredible experience itself, would highly recommend. The cinnamon roll is amazing. The staff is always lovely! I will keep coming back!

The food here is really good, and there's a lot of good options for vegetarians. Highly recommended for a group to share, including kids. A bit more expensive than fast food, but very worth it. Would definitely eat/order here again for sure.

Just ate here with friends and had absolutely beautiful food. Beautifully presented starters - we had the shared dish between four and it was almost too much! Then fantastic stuffed flatbreads topped with all kinds of deliciousness, from beef and lamb to sesame seeds and mixed herbs, to special cheeses and jalapenos, were all super. Gorgeous coffee to finish with, accompanied by stuffed dates. Thanks and we'll be back!

Had an awesome experience. After not having only takeout food for the last few months of pandemic. Glad we went here for the first outside restaurant. The food was fresh and worth going in person. We opted for the picnic for two and it was very filling and was fresh.Would definitely go there again. Staff is very friendly too.

Small cafe but booked out on Saturday so if you didn't have a reservation you hadn't a hope. The "picnic box dinner" at €27 is a great sharing plate for two with your choice of six different dishes plus drinks and two sides. Delicious and super fresh. Ordering is from a Qcode that allows you to order and pay online, but you can also order and pay at the counter. Heartily recommended.

My American husband and I recently visited Cork from Dublin. We were excited to eat here because I’m Palestinian Jordanian, and my husband loves my mom’s food. We had low expectations because Middle Eastern ingredients are hard to find in Ireland and we expected the recipes to be adapted to Irish tastes. But as many previous reviews have noted, this is the real deal! We loved it so much we went back two days later. We had the Zaatar/cheese manakeesh combo (as good as the best bakers in Amman), the msakhan (authentic spices and generous amount of topping), the mince meat (sfeeha), the magdoos (exactly like home), the spinach pies (to die for!!!), the warbat (wonderful crunchy layers and satisfyingly sweet), cinnamon roll (OMG! Not Palestinian but delicious!) and the Palestinian coffee (spot on). The spinach pies are my favorite, so tart and flavorful. If you’re thinking that you don’t want a tart savory pie, you’re wrong...this is perfection. Second favorite would be the Zaatar and cheese manakeesh—a classic done right. Izz and Eman make me proud as a Palestinian, and I wish/hope that they open a branch in Dublin. I’d be there every other day! Until then, my husband and I are already planning our next visit to Cork just to eat here.

The food is absolutely delicious. Service is very quick and the cafe itself has a lovely atmosphere. Only thing was that I didn’t know that there was a one hour time limit. This was my first visit and I was so excited to finally be there. We were just about to order tea and dessert and we were told to leave as the table was booked. We were so disappointed!! I didn’t say anything as I thought I missed it in the booking confirmation… often the restaurant gives details of when they require the table back etc which is totally fair. But no there is nothing in my confirmation email. If the owners see this review I would ask them to make people aware of this rule to avoid disappointment. I hope to visit again in the future for my cinnamon roll!

Izz café is truly a refreshment in the sea of eateries claiming to be ''authentic''. With every bite you can taste the dedication and knowledge. Literally anything off the menu we ordered on our multiple visits was a hit, never a miss. Among many great dishes I must mention the ever popular hummus in variety of flavors such as beetroot: light yet creamy, perfectly pared with freshly baked pita whose ""bakery in the morning ''smell made us drool. Excellent choice for all as it has amazing vegetarian/vegan choices.

We liked this cafe We tried the Turkish coffee with the best Majdoul dates. The aroma of the coffee tastes like spices and smells floral.You can tell that the taste is a mix of different flavours. We also tried Manoushet Halloumi, the taste of the Halloumi and the fresh Oregano made me feel how they care about the quality of the product they use. The crust was crispy and chewy, they made it different by adding a little extra virgin olive oil. The salad was Tabouleh, they used the freshest vegetables and a characteristic dressing. And i just can't stop thinking about the healthiest drink ever, which is Tamer Hindi In my opinion, it is a very neat and nice place, i highly recommend this restaurant, you will touch the highest quality food and product offerings in the Middle East.

This place is great, they have amazing vegan options. I got the vegan cinnamon roll which was €5 but so worth it because it’s so nice and very large portion. We also got a manooshet falafel wrap, the falafel was baked so very healthy and the bread is freshly made. Nicest falafel we’ve ever had- definitely the best and most authentic in cork. The last time I was here I got the manooshet spinach and it was gorgeous also -it’s stuffed with walnuts and spinach and topped with rocket and pomegranate! Everything vegan is clearly labeled! You have to come here and try it out ! Everything is delicious , you won’t regret it!

Wow.. So fresh, very simple straight forward food. The bread was so light and fluffy like super fresh warm pillow of the lightest variety a perfect vehicle to mount the amazing avocado hummus onto. Partook in the sharing appetiser which came with stuffed vine leaves, babaganoush, houmous, chilli's, pickled gherkins, and the aforementioned avocado hummus. Oh boy, what a wonderful place.. You can smell the freshness all over it.. All dishes are straight from the oven to your tasting buds 😃.. The appitizers are really yummy, varied and really authentic. Even the bread you dip the appitizers with are freshly baked!! 😃..Avocado Hummus is a fancy treat. Spotless clean place and quality Palestinian food right in the city centre. We got some Turkish coffee and dates at the end to finish our lovely meal on a Sunday morning. Head there, you won't be disappointed. Pics speak of themselves :)

I have been wanting to visit Izz cafe ever since I read about its opening. This is a gem of a restaurant and it serves THE BEST of Palestinian cuisine. From the moment you step into the restaurant you feel as if you have been transported to the Middle East. Arabian music greets you along with a complimentary cardamon coffee offered upon entry. An added touch is the Palestinian pottery and paintings which adorn the walls and tables. The quality of the food is beyond belief and will have your taste buds dancing for joy. Expect freshly baked Manaeesh with toppings such as Za'atar, Halloumi, chicken mussakahan and even Nutella, There is also a tabbouleh, avocado and beetroot hummus, labneh and stuffed vine leaves platter which looks divine. Izz Cafe is simply pure joy: delicious food, incredible service and has a wonderful story behind it. I will go every time I return to Cork.

Been drooling over the cafe's Instagram for ages, finally got to visit Cork and try the food. Excellent fresh food. It's very popular so it can be difficult to get a table. Mains, salads and desserts are all very tasty. Nice Palestinian coffee. The only downside was the tea with fresh mint. It was just black tea with one sprig of fresh mint. For €4.90 I would have expected a more traditional North African mint tea with a big bunch of fresh mint.

Izz Cafe is definitely the best place in ALL of Ireland to get proper authentic Palestinian food. Chef Amani makes the most delicious food. My friends and I tried most of the menu and we loved everything from their own AMAZING bread to Msakhan. I myself have been searching for actual Makdous ever since I arrived in Ireland and I finally found it in Izz Cafe. Izz and the staff were super welcoming and nice and we will definitely come back whenever we are in Cork. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are an Arab, you will definitely enjoy the food no matter how high your standards are. If you are non-Arab, this will DEFINETLY be the one and only place for you to taste what real Palestinian food is like.

What a gem! After a friend suggested we have lunch here I’m so glad we did! When we arrived, the small cozy space inside is definitely adding to the experience. We had a good size group of six and yet the service was fantastic. You are greeted with smiles from the staff and are shown the menu which has a great assortment of foods at good prices. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and even dessert was really good.its almost like you’re not in cork when you eat here, and the course takes you on a cosy, delicious journey to the Middle East and prepare to stay a good amount of time here, you won’t want to leave. If you are visiting the city, please do not pass this opportunity to come and eat at Izz Cafe!
