L. R.Wow, after a weekend of trying different food places in Cork city, this one was my favourite! The food was Amazing, but the staff were the best part! Richie was so great and funny looking after us! Also they have their own Coffee brand which everyone should buy and try!
We got the WaffleHof, the Ultimate Eggs Benedict and Kinder Bueno Pancakes between us and it was all delicious!
Will definitely be back next time we're in Cork, not only for the Food but also for the chats!

I had this amazing, out of earth special they served for the first time the day we visited. It was this creative mix of a duck leg, waffle, fried egg and syrup. It was just out of this world. I hope they put it on the menu. My new favorite place for sure. ♥️

T. D.If you are looking for a brunch spot in Cork City this is your place. We had a chat with the owner and he seemed very down to earth and involved.
Went on the first day and got pancakes (two different types) and the waffeloff and they were so good we had to come back the next day to try more of the menu!
Second time we got the eggs benedict and the king burger, both top notice.
For me, the brownie was the highlight. I had been craving a brownie for a while and everytime I got one I was left unsatisfied. However, this one filled that void I was looking for! It was delicious, pictured below.

Very convenient also is getting the train as its only across the road from Cork Kent Train station.

N. M.what to say about this place, giving them a 5☆ review is regarding to personal experience at that place as from the entry to the building and welcoming staff and (in mine case) simple menu. We went for our sweet tooth and enjoyed Oreo and Bananofi pancakes, I remembered it that way and sorry if it's different on menu but I like it that way 😋😋... really nice coffees (Kenya and Brazil). Thanks for nice surprise for our continuing trip after you.
P.S. we didn't finish pancakes, we took them with us, great portion... see you...

S. C.Lab 82 is such a nice quirky cafe. It is different in terms of decor and even menu choices- a must visit if you like ducks! Vegan, vegetarian and coeliac friendly this cafe has a wide variety of food options for you to choose from. I recommend the sausage rolls or of course the classic pancakes. Kinder Bueno pancakes are my favourite but the Oreo pancakes are also to die for. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and so helpful! This cafe is such a find - well worth the trip and if you are visiting Cork I definitely recommend a visit here for brunch or lunch! On weekends during peak time you may have to wait 10 mins or so for a table but that is only a testament to how popular the place is. The food is well worth the wait I assure you! I also recommend the potatoes and the chai latte or dirty chai if you need the caffeine.

H. P.So to start with the good things, I thought their brownie was insanely good! Very moist and just perfect! Their smoothie was also lovely, was very refreshing and delicious. The only let down however was the katsu chicken burger. The burger itself was a bit over cooked and very basic, it was just a burger with some curry sauce over it, but it cost 9 euro. Very expensive for what I thought, was a very average burger. The place is pricey for sure, but I also did get their huevos rancheros before and that was delicious so maybe it was just this burger. My friend enjoyed his meal too. Will definitely be back for the brownies!

Went for Sunday brunch and the place was packed, and deservedly so. Staff were friendly and there was only a short wait for a table. Will definitely be going again!

M.One of the nicest breakfast's I have ever had honestly, I got American style pancakes they came out fluffy and moist and to perfection. it did take a while for them to come from the kitchen and we did have to check with the waitress that they were still coming but definitely worth the wait, it is a small bit out of the city and found it difficult to get parking but so worth the trip

We went here for brunch and we went at the perfect time, only a 5 min wait for a table. It got super busy as soon as we sat down so make sure you get there early to avoid the wait.
But even if you're waiting a bit for a table it's worth it.
We both got the eggs Benedict which was super tasty definitely so I'd highly recommended it! I got a side of smashed avocado which was really nice too!
We also got coffees, a cappuccino for my girlfriend and a hazelnut mocha for me, both were really tasty and the coffee art is lovely!
Overall atmosphere is great, awesome little bits and pieces decorate the walls and shelves and the music playing was awesome, all these little aspects really make a business.
And we both got a takeaway brownie to enjoy later!
All in all the place is a gem perfect for couples, groups or a quick lunch by yourself.

T. D.This is a 5 star brunch spot. We ended up chatting to the owner and he seemed really involved in the business and down to earth.
We got two different types of pancakes and the waffeloff which were so good we came back the next day to try more off the menu. Tue second time I got the king burger and my friend got the eggs benedict and both would great. To top it off we got a brownie and it was the best brownie I have had in a long time!
I was craving a brownie for ages but everytime I tried one I was let down. But this one hit the spot!

J. R.Came in at a busy time, the wait time was very quick maybe 10 minutes, well worth the wait for the best coffee in Munster or even Ireland as a whole their Brazilian Roast was amazing with lovely chocolate notes. Fantastic place for coffee lovers.
Our wait for food was also very quick, the "Let's Get Smashed" is an amazing thing to get and the chilli jam on it is absolutely fabulous adding a sweetness to the egg, avocado and feta.
After we finished our food we had the lovliest chat with the owner, Richie who is the embodiment of craic making us feel welcome.
The service was phenomenal and the servers were just as phenomenal as the previously mentioned points.
Would recommend for anyone and will certainly be coming back any time I'm in Cork!

J. R.Great assemblage of brunch feasts, quality cakes and great coffee in an atmosphere that is very much its own . Rubber ducks, underfloor window into the kitchen below, flickers of neon and steel. Some kind of crazy steampunk pink flamingo that does a quality American style diner with hipster nods. It can't not be loved.
I recommend to come hungry and grab the Wafflehoff.

Fabulous selection of coffee beans not just your bog standard single roast. I saw at least 3 varieties to choose from, selecting the Guatemala bean, strong taste of Cherry very nice!
Also a decent selection of freshly baked goodies, I opted for the golden brownie l, served warm and gooey with fresh cream.
Will be making another visit when passing next.

D. A. B.As you enter the doors of Lab 82 it's like going down the rabbit hole! You immediately get this sense of a funky fresh environment, mixed with a little bit of crazy and a whole lot of soul. Not only are you met by the sensational smell of baked goods and roasted coffee beans, but also by the friendly welcoming faces of the great staff and owners! Everyone is laughing and you get a genuine feeling that they are all really enjoying themselves! The coffee is really great and the baristas know exactly what they are doing. If you have a sweet tooth, the baked goods are out of this world! You have to try their Gold Mine Brownie, it literally brought a tear to my eye. The only way that I can describe it is by saying that it tastes like a mouthful of Joy. They also have a great food menu. My wife and I love the place and would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

D.This place has the widest selection of brownies I've ever seen, there could easily be about 10-12 types of brownies available on display, and before the post-lockdown reopening, I saw that number reach as high as about 18 one day! They also do a few cheesecakes, mud pies, some other treats like caranel slices, the Trillionaire (aka "a caramel slice on steroids"), which is like a millionaire shortbread but a million times better (both in terms of quality and the actual numerical value). I can't even pick a favourite, there's just so many I love!
There's also a wide variety of drinks, several coffees, teas, hot chocolate with marshmallows, milkshakes, and more. I also quite like the pancakes (they've a few different varieties, and they all look and taste amazing) and the burgers (one of which even has waffles for buns, chicken, bacon, and maple syrup that you can pour over it yourself. Might sound crazy, but it works!)
The staff in there are all very friendly, service has always been great every time I've been in, by everyone who's ever served me. I've been coming here since January, and I've never once been let down in here. It can get very busy at certain times, so you might have to wait a bit at peak times, but if you try the food here, you'll know exactly why it's that busy, and why everyone wants to come in

You won’t find a better place in cork city for such high quality delicious food and staff that will go above and beyond for their customers, you will never want to leave and during lockdown it’s the food that will make everything a whole lot easier! s. l.Gem of a place., was here in early December with the family and cannot recommend it enough. The atmosphere is amazing, from the minute we walked in the door, they guys were brilliant. Attentive without being imposing, great chat and banter and so helpful in getting us settled with the kids. The coffee is out of this word, the guys are really knowledgeable and there to assist you in choosing. The food was equally good, decent portions and very tasty. Only downfall is the place is too far away from me to make it a regular but when I am in Cork it will be the go to spot!

Everyone was wearing facemasks and hand sanitizer everywhere. Richie is a pure dote and everyone did as much as they could to make our experience enjoyable. Definitely will be going back on the regular.

A. L.We were in Cork for the weekend and looked for a good breakfast when we came accros Lab 82 Review’s online. Well the 5 stars done them justice, we weren’t disappointed! We arrived with the 2 munchkins and the staff could have not been nicer! Richie had a lovely chat with us and explain all bout his coffee. We could see the genuine love he has for his place! Food was amazing! The full Irish is huge and definitely set us up for the day. Our little lad had pancakes and was delighted. All around a very relaxing space with good music great staff and brilliant food. A must go. And when we walked back to the hotel with a take away cup from Lab 82. The hotel staff told us how great that place is! (Says à lot!) next Time we will be in Cork we will definitely be back! Thanks to Richie and all the staff there.

A seemingly endless list of coffees as well as teas, got chocolates, and sweet and savory snacks await travelers on their way from or to the train station.
The interior is super inviting and very comfortable, the music is amazing and at exactly the right volume that you can sing along if you like, but also have a conversation without shouting.
The staff is really friendly, and their excitement and enthusiasm is so contagious, even if you are not a coffee person (as I mentioned, they also offer a wide variety of non-coffee drinks).
Absolutely worth visiting!
I. O.My favourite flat white in Cork. Lucky for me it's on my route to work. The staff are superb - friendly and they know their stuff when it comes to coffee. I buy a bag of coffee for the misses so she can have a French press on her route to work.
Might be a silly thing but i appreciate that they reward loyalty - 9th coffee is free. Other coffee shops don't have that which is a misstep IMO.
Stopped in for brekkie recently with the family too. Savage! Highly recommended
