Staff was very friendly, drinks arrived quickly but the food took a bit longer. It was worth the waiting, though. The bagel was beautifully cooked, the bacon was crispy and the eggs had the yolk runny, which is awesome. The traditional Irish breakfast was also well-cooked and made with very good ingredients. Would come here again because all of these items were fair-priced.

It was a random visit at joy of cha while exploring the town. We went in wet morning hours and only indoor seating was available. I tried spinach and feta wrap and a chocolate pastry. Both the things were awesome. I would love to go there again and have the spinach and feta wrap

The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even came to our table to ask if I was vegan because I'd ordered a vegetarian breakfast without eggs, and they wanted to make sure not to put butter on my toast in case I was vegan, which I really appreciated! The place is cosy and has a great atmosphere, and the food was good, filling, and plated nicely. The menu could have a bit wider range of options - for example a vegan breakfast.

Rustic, bohemian and quaint. A perfect spot to have your first breakfast in Dublin, straight off the plane and into a hearty wholesome meal. Don’t forget to taste the homemade tomato sauce, but don’t ask how it’s made as they won’t tell you 😜!

This is the best café I have ever been to. I loved the ambiance, the coffee, the service, and the food. I had a berry crumble cake and the spinach feta roll, both were the perfect compliment to my day. I will be returning as much as possible before leaving Dublin.

One of the best places in the world. All the food was made from scratch the same day, including croissants, pies etc. The cheese and salmon bagel was delicious, including once again freshly baked bagel. The coffee was great too. I wish there were more places like that in the western world.

WOW! 😮 This place is great!!! We ordered the Artisan Irish Sausages, with Eggs and Toast, and also the Avocado, with egg and toast. The food was amazing! The employees were very friendly and helpful. Oh man, the tarts of this place... After walking around the area trying to find a place for brunch, I found Joy of Chá and what a joy let me tell you. A very cozy place served by the owners where you can try tarts of several kind. The one with chorizo is my favourite, but you should also try the one with spinach and feta. Also, the cranberries cake is delicious. The only thing I could say is that it was hard to find a sit, and I get why.

I came here few years ago and was a nice place for a slice of cake. Today I came for the same cake and I can't say the same. The cake was like warmed up in a microwave, soft with a lot of custard on top to cover the flavor. The staff looked like they've smoked a fat one before the shift 🤣

Perfect place for an Irish Breakfast! There is a lot of options to choose from (for vegetarians also). The food was delicious and the staff is friendly. As it is a popular place, you have to be lucky to found a free table at brunch time.

Found this place accidentally, but so glad we did. Been back a couple of times for the fry, which is absolutely delicious. It's a cosy little spot with a not huge cooking area so fair play to the guys who put the dishes together. The fry is so well made, based largely on good quality ingredients, it just can't be faulted. High quality, delicious sausages, proper back rashers, eggs any way you like, plenty of toast, home fried potatoes and very tasty pudding - particularly the white. The guys who work there were friendly despite how busy they were. Price is reasonable, especially for the area. Just read a very embittered one star review here which is just bizarre. This is one of the absolute best fries I've had (and I've had way too many) so there's something very irrational about someone giving a one star. That's a person with an axe to grind - ignore them. Give Joy of Cha a shot - one of the best breakfasts you'll get your hands on.

We were promptly greeted and seated by the gracious waiter, and immediately our drink orders were taken, and promptly came out. I got the pancakes, just wanting something small. Super tiny place. Hard to get a table on a Saturday afternoon. And as a table of 2 we got shuffled around a bit. Not the kind of place to sit a while and study. But the atmosphere and food made up for it. I was drawn in because it was warm and cosy and there was a bunch of creative delicious looking baked things in the class, like spinach and feta quiche with pine nuts, and a zucchini slice. Very delicious. Coffee was also good. There's 1 toilet available but often a line.

This is a very good place to visit for tea drinkers. They have tons and tons of loose tea of all kinds. They have gluten free and vegan cakes and snacks. Almond milk is available for those who have a lactose intolerance. The prices are affordable. The staff is super helpful and they speak several languages. The only downside is that the space is quite confined. There are only a few tables to sit at, so your best option is to take your stuff to go.

You would not expect it because of a) the location and b) their name, but from my experience as a local lad this has the best full Irish breakfast in Dublin. Everything on the plate is incredibly tasty. Wherever they get their black pudding in particular it is the best I've ever had. Not only that, the staff are very friendly and it is a really cosy place to sit with interesting art available to purchase. The only negative is that at the wrong time of day you get hordes of Spanish tourists coming in here buying one cup of tea between five of them and taking up a lot of space. They should be banned ;D

Ate breakfast here two days in a row at the beginning of March. Good selection if good although no gluten free options. Food was delicious, especially the black pudding. I had the Irish breakfast and porridgethe following day. It's a big bowl of porridge, no skimping there. With the Irish breakfast you get one sausage, two bacon, black and white pudding fried potatoes with half a tomatoes and some spinach. You also get for sauces of toast with butter. Staff are friendly and helpful. They also sell a wide selection of loose tea leaves.

This was a super cute little cafe we stumbled into looking for coffee. My husband is a Yerba Mate tea drinker, and the barista prepared for him an authentic south american style tea in the proper cup with a straw. He explained the whole drinking process to us - it was a very unique experience.
