Staff go above and beyond here. Small tasty menu. Reasonably priced. A lovely place for a cuppa after a hike. Grounds are hauntingly beautiful

Warm, Cozy and tranquil place for a hot cuppa coffee. Lovely staff.

A welcome oasis in the heart of the Dublin Mountains. Refresh the body with some tea/coffee and breakfast/lunch/snacks. Having taken some nourishment on board, go out and raise your spirit with walks in and around the Glencree Centre for Peace & Reconciliation. You will feel the better for making the effort.

When your visiting the peace and reconciliation centre at Glencree in the Wicklow mountains head into the cafe there for a nice cup of tea or coffee. The staff there are so pleasant and helpful always have a smile on their face . When you there make sure you visit the German military grave cemetery it's a must the whole centre is steeped in history where modern peace process have taken place. There is a lot of information on boards if you go up the stairs in the cafe. So miss out on a stop of here folks very tranquil with the water fall to the side of the peace centre. Visit our Lady's grotto for peace I found it very enjoyable highly recommend it folks.

Always loved this little gem of a restaurant hidden away up the mountains, staff are always very helpful and friendly, an English lad served me and he was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

Very nice cafe. Beautiful location in the heart of the Wicklow mountains. The staff were very friendly and attentive. When you have finished there, walk out the gate and it is only a three minutes walk to the German Graveyard. You can find all about it in the cafe upstairs.

Well worth a visit. Lovely outside on terrace if it is sunny. Fabulous cake and good savoury options. Kind, helpful staff who offered water for our dog.
Lots of interesting stuff about Drumcree & Enniskerry available inside along with postcards & delicious looking jam etc

Place was very clean, tables well spaced, lots of hand sanitizers around, staff all wearing masks.

Nice place to rest while having a coffee and cake.

We visit the Armoury Cafe regularly after walking on one of the many trails to be found close by. It is great if you are looking for a bit to eat or just a coffee. There is a good choice on the menu from hot dishes, sandwiches, cakes, and pastries.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Don’t be put off if you arrive to find a queue as it is well worth the wait. If the weather is good you can sit outside in the sun.
Our favourite to sit in the garden with a coffee, which usually turns into a second coffee as it is so peaceful and relaxing.

We have really missed this amazing place it's Great to sè it up and running again
D. M.
Friendly place to stop for a coffee and sweets. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy the excellent cake and Italian machine espresso on a small terrace. The place has an interesting history, as one can read from the booklet available there.
A small grotto facing the river is nearby, and the German cemetery is also worth seeing if only for the unusual location between a steep rock and a small waterfall.

We love this place. We make sure to drop in here once or twice a month and it never disappoints. Food is fab and the staff are lovely, highly recommend a visit.

Afternoon coffee break between Sallys Gap and Dublin. Good cakes and good coffee. Hard standing for motorcycle and seemed secure where we left it. Had cream with Apple pie which was good but cream must have been in the fridge a while as it had ice in it. No toilet roll in toilets but only minor issue!!!!😁

Drove right past this very interesting place and looked back and said we have to go back there to explore. If you have the time, please stop and visit. We bumped into a very interesting lady who told us all about the barracks and it's four uses, a sweet lady. Stop in the cafe and get a treat because no matter what you order it will be a treat. Nice spot, good coffe
Located in an historical site
J. M.
Small cafe in peaceful and scenic setting in the mountains with both inside and outside seating. Well worth a visit away from the hustle and bustle.

Delicious scrambled eggs on good brown bread toast c pot of tea €6. Friendly staff. Surrounded by interesting historic buildings. Free WiFi. Don't forget to go upstairs for the excellent historical information boards on the history.

3.5 stars might be fairer, mainly because the place was very quiet, and lacked atmosphere. As against that, the coffee and cakes were good. The cafe is an oasis on a site (Glencree Reconciliation Centre) that otherwise looks shockingly neglected. Given it's history, this surely begs questions.
D. H. W.
The café is situated in the grounds of the Glencree Reconciliation Centre. Easy enough to find at the head of the Glencree valley. The cafe is always clean and the atmosphere is very peaceful with lots of light flooding the whole seating area, even on a dull rainy day it feels bright. The food is fresh and homemade! The menu is varied and most items will satisfy anyone who stops off looking for a quick sandwich or a full meal. The staff are always friendly and pleasant. We highly recommend The Armoury!

Warm and friendly.
Very reasonable €. Excellent coffee.
VGood ham &cheese wrap 4.95 \ soup&bread 4.95 (but smaller bowl than the cafe\deli in Laragh\Glendalough!)
K. O.
Excellent food and such hospitable people! I had the ham and cheese on ciabatta and it was delicious! Such a beautiful view as well.
J. S.
It is a beautiful location with really helpful and friendly staff.. I have visited on a number of occasions for coffee and the odd scone..But the reason I have only given 3 stars is because the last time I visited I brought a friend with me, we had a sandwich , a bowl of soup 2 coffees and one scone and the bill for this was over 23 euros.... I will definitely visit again but only for coffee.
B. S.
Great coffee and scones. Free WiFi which is very helpful since phone coverage can be patchy. Perfect place for a pitstop on a long cycle.

Beautiful place to spend an hour
C. K.
It's a lovely quiet place , for peace and recreation, was an old barricks for the english, during the troubled last century, it was converted into an orphanage in the 30s,german children evacuated during ww, 2,were brought there, and looked after, a lot of the children were adopted, here in ireland, also there is glencree military graveyard where German pilots are buried,
Its a quite and peaceful place just to sit, look at the scenic views, leave your worries and stress for a little,

Had 2 sausage rolls went back for another + chocolate eclair would love to show you a picture too late all gone
R. M.
Honestly this place was below average, and it's getting three stars because of the location - the food and service were pretty crumby, with soup made from what seemed to be gone off vegetables, shockingly badly trained cashiers/counter service and tables that didn't seem to be cleaned once while we were there.
M. O. S.
Lovely cafe . Food is great too . And on a fine day its great. Worth visiting.
