Small café with very nice interior design & atmosphere,
Coffee prices are high considering the small size of the cups, taste is very good though. no seating inside and no toilet for guests.
It‘s on 3 levels, where you can shop various products or have a look and buy pictures. I liked the concept.

Aesthetically beautiful cafe with a gallery and design shop - an enjoyable meander while waiting for your coffee. Coffee is excellent, offering a selection of beans and brewing types, and the staff are very friendly. One of my favorite specialty coffee shops I've visited (and I've visited many).
E. W.
Excellent coffee in a beautiful cafe with a gallery.
Coffeewerk + press has 3 floors, with a cool hang out area on the second.
I love the artwork on the cups & the staff are very friendly.
E.
Amazing. Had a beautiful washed Kenyan hand brew and it was gorgeous!
2 fellas working really friendly, gave us recommendations for what to do when in Galway and genuinely just sound lads. Hopefully will be back!
B. O.
I visited here about three or four years ago and the quality was top notch then. Not much has changed thankfully! Lovely coffees and some nice local design merchandise. Good selection of coffees from various roasters as well. Non pretentious staff—which is unusual for such an establishment—but is welcomed.
Recommended to anyone looking for coffee in Galway.

A must coffee stop in Galway city centre!Located in the heart of the Latin quarter, perfect to pick up before walking to the spanish arch, along the Corrib, and to the pier. Always delicious and always friendly service.
A. M.
One of the nicest coffee shops I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting.
A. G.
Best coffee and cappuccino in Ireland. Don’t go anywhere else. Comparable to Blue Bottle Coffee in the US. Also, super cute interior, postcards and friendly staff.
H. N.
The coffee really is the best around here. Oat milk Mocha, Cappuccino and cold can Flat White to go. Mostly speedy and friendly service. Much recommended!!
D. D.
One of the nicely looking coffee shops I’ve even been in. Wanted to visit it from the moment I saw the cute recyclables coffee cups they have, very simple but a nice house design. The whole interior is very nicely decorated diving you the filling of home.
From the moment you go in it amazingly smells like coffee. Whenever I go somewhere new I try the espresso because I believe this is the best way to taste the coffee and feel it’s aroma. The coffee is definitely really good.
We also took a brownie and a square cake with nuts, also pretty delicious.
The staff is really friendly, engaging and happy to talk with you.
I definitely recommend it and one tip, go to the top floor, it gives you a nice view over the Latin quarter.
C. D.
Lovely coffee, you can buy the ground beans too and there's artwork on the bags. Both my favourite cup of coffee in the city and the only place I ever manage to get a seat outside.
T. O.
Always on my list of places to visit when I'm in Galway! Great little coffee spot, only downside which the person I was with said they didn't have a huge selection of tray bakes/cakes which I never go for but thought I would mention in case anyone goes looking for the same.
D. I.
They just have the best coffee in the world. It's my favourite spot in Galway.
A. S.
Great atmosphere and staff. In my opinion, best coffee in Galway.
V. H.
Loved this spot. It was very busy but worth the (short) wait. As a barista I could tell the girls making the drinks were well versed and efficient. The coffee itself was delicious, and the oat milk was smooth. I enjoyed my flat white and it was very well made. The decor was minimalist and cute. They sold things like reuseable food wrap, keep cups and cute little local pieces. Worth checking out!
S. T.
I found Coffeewerk + Press in the book of all the coffee shops in Ireland at my favourite coffee shop, Bearmarket coffee in Dublin! I was so looking forward to visiting when I travel to Galway however the staff was rude, no communication really. Nice little shop and good coffee but I was disappointed.
B. M.
Great coffee alright, really good beans and options. Staff are cool and ordering is easy! Pour over is pricey but really good and the snacks are tasty 9/10 overall would recommend
M. S.
This is also one of the places where I would give million stars.
When you regularly drink coffee in this place, no where else is worthy enough :) The coffee they use Coffee Collective is one of the finest brands.
Also, the whole place is this amazing design shop and such a comfortable place to drink your coffee.
MUST visit when in Galway.
N. D.
The artwork on the cups are very cute. The oat milk latte was delicious! They even suggested to take a look at the exhibitions on the upper floors.
J. L.
Recommended! Good coffee! Espresso(Ethiopia) was good! Filter coffee(Rwanda) was slightly under temperature
S. A.
Lovely little place, really nice atmosphere inside. We sat at the window at the top with our Flat Whites (husband had what I think they call a Cold Flat White) and both were really nice. I don’t normally like iced coffees but the Cold Flat White was lovely and creamy with a strong coffee taste but not at all bitter. Would highly recommend a visit!
S. P.
Great coffee/espresso! Nice atmosphere and cute little takeout cups. Spotty wifi though (both times I went I wasn't able to connect). :(
S. J.
Brilliant coffee store. Loved the cakes they have there too. Super presentation for take outs and I love how they played a vinyl record of the velvet underground upstairs too. Great place altogether.
C.
This is such a lovely place. It is definitely for people who are creative and love art 💕 they have an art gallery upstairs and their products are so unique and beautiful. Would highly recommend.
j. w.
Galways best specialty coffee shop. And to call it a coffee shop feels reductive. They retail a carefully curated selection of items such as prints, postcards, bags, keep cups, books etc
The decor is clean and modern but also comfortable and it's a space you'll be happy to spend some time in. Try out one of their filter coffees then head upstairs to the gallery space and just chill out.
I honestly couldn't recommend this place enough, it's one of my absolute musts whenever I'm in town
M. P.
Fantastic coffee and craft shop upstairs. Grab a coffee, perch on the window sill, watch the world passing by and enjoy Elvis P aka The King played on a vintage turntable
P. D.
Great coffee and friendly staff in an excellent location. Quite hipster little spot. They have Oatly milk. Super cute artwork on the cups!
D. L.
The coffee is some of the best in Galway. I seriously just want to live in their shop as it is so beautifully designed (the good thing is most of it is for sale). The perfect place for coffee as you can browse an amazing selection of goods and unique prints. This place really has it all, I can't recommend them enough.
D. K.
Superb quality coffee and nice objects for sale. Sitting on the first and the second floors, so it is also possible to work here. A delightful place.
E. B.
Simply one of the finest places to get coffee in Galway. Beautiful products in the design shop and it's the secret best place to buy a card for any occasion if you want something that is just extra special.
U. D.
A nice place to sit down for a coffee and cake, while watching the world go by. Served nice and hot.
S. E.
Amazing coffee.
I had a flat white with Oatly and it had such a sweet and intense flavour with no bitterness at all.
The place is very trendy with lots of local artworks and postcards and stuff like this for sale aswell.
They sell bags of coffee which have amazing artwork on them by local artists also but these are quite pricey(15-30 euro ballpark). I expect they are fantastic though based on the coffee I got.
The only gripe I have is that the coffees are quite small which is probably a flavour thing but they do still charge 50 cent extra for alternative milks, just something to keep in mind.
Overall though 3.80 for an absolutely savage cup of coffee from a place that supports local artists is pretty dang good!
T. C.
The best oatmilk cappuccino I have ever had. The interior designer had amazing attention to detail. Great selection of books to read!
E. S.
Great coffee, lovely design books to peruse upstairs, I only wish there was music upstairs it’s a bit quiet 🙂
M. L.
One of my favorite specialty shops I've ever visited - what an awesome concept with super kind staff!
S. S.
Very small place with only a few seats outside. Really great coffee.
E. J.
Favourite coffee shop in Ireland. It’s like a Scandanavian dream. Coffee is fantastic with loads of lovely little goods that you don’t need but will most definitely want!
J. L.
Great spot for an espresso. Really friendly staff who I could chat to about coffee and get some recommendations for home brewing. Nice interior with neat extras for sale too. I picked up some beans, which I am very happy with.
R. W.
Haven't had coffee like this in Ireland. Smooth, not overly bitter. Yes I would like a bigger cup but enjoyed it so much and went every day of our trip
S. G.
Love the vibe, love the staff, adore the coffee
H. S.
Standard and the chilled flat white were both tasty. Love the little postcards for sale from local artists.
f. i.
Great coffee and friendly staff, if you're looking for quality you'll find it here.
E. R.
Coffee is Sooo tasty and the shop is like a piece of design art 🖼
K. F.
A fun and super cute coffee shop off of Quay Street! I highly recommend the iced flat white. It was absolutely delicious!
P. O. S.
The staff are friendly and engaging. They know what they are talking about when it comes to coffee and coffee beans. The coffee is the best I think I've had and I do not stop in Galway without coming here. Everything about this place is expensive but the quality is right up there too. There is always a delicious treat available to be sold purchased with the perfect coffee although there is never much choice as not to take away attention from the star of the show. They stock gorgeous merchandise from near and far. I would like to see them selling more local craft than the exotic stuff to be more with the times environmentally but at least they are supporting some local produce.
S. A.
Sometimes tourist areas are misguided. On this occasion, following the reviews will reward you—immensely. The design is thoughtful, bright and welcoming. You may notice the simple details.Good. But if you don’t, they’ll affect you all the same.
The coffee is a rotation of curated roasters and the people serving you are dependably informative and passionate. Good work, Galway.
G. M.
This is the Best fecken coffee for miles around. Really not a bad barista, great smiley and friendly service, and a coffee size that is what coffee is. As we know great coffee in Ireland is hard to track down.
Recommend this place, for anyone who likes or thinks they like coffee.
M. B.
Galway is full of cafes, but this one is the best hands down. They have the best espresso. A few snacks, but nothing big. They really focus on the coffee. I believe they use full fat milk for their standard. They only have a few seats upstairs. Each floor is full of art and small gifts to buy, including prints from local artists
K. A.
Cool hipster place that does great coffee
E. C. W.
Phenomenal little coffee shop with a great selection of small roaster produced beans. Beautiful design shop tops it off, and they have a lovely selection of cooler-than-normal postcards too! Definitely a don't-miss if you're in Galway.
C. W.
Great espresso, choice of house blend or guest coffee. Great design shop.
J. H.
Really good coffee, expertly made! A must for true coffee lovers.
They also stock some cute sustainable bits and bobs...worth browsing if you are looking for an original gift.
A. M.
By far the best coffee in Galway and certainly in the running for best in Ireland. Airy, light-filled rooms upstairs provide a calming atmosphere to enjoy their hot drinks while browsing through a truly inspired selection of housewares.
M. S.
Great artisan coffees and knowledgeable staff which will give you tips and advise about different coffees and drinks they serve there. Note that the space inside is very limited and just a few seats are available outside, so think of it as a more take away coffee shop. Make sure to check art shop and gallery on the top floor as well.
J. R.
Fantastically strong coffee, possibly the strongest espresso I've had in Galway, never burnt or bitter! Great place to wander around and look at the art work or the cool postcards etc
A. F.
Great coffee and the little shop inside is super cute. Love the postcards!
A. S.
The best coffee to have in the galway city , the ambience and staff is amazing .
D. H.
Honestly some of the best coffee in Galway!!
B. T.
Cool arty gadgety shop come coffee shop, very limited seating up stairs but worth it if you can get a seat
S. B.
Really cool cafe with great selection of coffee both filter and espresso based drinks. There's normally a choice of three coffees on filter. With really cool design ware on sale too. My favourite coffee shop in Galway.
V. L.
Really friendly staff and delicious mint tea and vegan treats. You can bring your own reusable cup.
B.
There are only a handful of speciality coffee shops in Galway City and Coffeewerk + Press were one of the first to offer a true speciality coffee menu, including alternative filter options and rotating bean offerings. Dublin has been a leading part of the latest European wave of speciality coffee culture embodied in the rise of 3fe, Coffeewerk brings a part of that experience to Galway city.
In recent years there have been new additions to the speciality scene in Galway city with the likes of Little Lane and ongoing staples like Urban Grind. However, few offer as broad a bean selection, with Coffeewerk offering imported stock from Man vs Machine and Coffee Collective and supporting local powerhouses like Calendar.
The design studio/gallery aesthetic is also a welcome pair, adding a welcome sense of experience to the takeaway coffee process. Although, the pursuit of style does take away some creature comforts when it comes to the sit down and relax nature of drink-in coffee.
That’s all taste though, and the coffee objectively and consistently tastes great. Highly recommend stopping by while in Galway city.
I. J.
Lovely place, not just for coffee but also for art posters and postcards! They also have cool design piece and art/design coffee table books. Would definitely recommend for any art and design coffee lover.
E. B.
Always my favourite in the city, lovely atmosphere, really great coffee, nice staff and a cute gallery/shop upstairs. Good location too!
D. O.
Decent coffee. Good selection.
M. M.
Coffee was great and the environment was really unique and enjoyable as well. I haven't seen pour over at many coffee shops in Ireland and this place had great pour over. Definitely would go back again!
R. P.
Great range of speciality espresso based coffee and filter/pour over. Baristas are properly trained. Really relaxed environment with a Scandinavian folk decor. There are lots of crafts scattered throughout the three floors for sale too.
S.
Lovely coffee, little sweet treats, and design-lead home gifts. Fab selection of quirky art postcards. Some seating outside & a few upstairs. Little window seat nice for people watching. Sometimes a plug socket free there if you are in need of a quick phone charge :-)
S. R.
Phenomenal pour over coffee. And while you wait check out all of the cool artwork. They have postcard prints for $1.50. They are great little gifts.
C. B.
Great shop if your looking to avoid the typical tourist gift shops. They have a great selection of postcards if you're looking to send a note back home or are looking for some very inexpensive art. We were recommended it by the owner of "My Shop... Granny Likes It" which has a similar vibe and should be seen if Coffeewerk was more your style.
C. L.
Great vibes, and nice coffee.
A. N. C.
My favorite coffee place in town! Staff are always so pleasant and the coffee is amazing
D. B.
Great coffee and cakes. Really fun layout with a focus on design and chic. Old vinyl player working upstairs with quite open seating give a nice atmosphere, really liked it and would strongly recommend!
I. Y.
delicious coffee, nice design, I bought very cute postcards.
M. M.
excellent coffee..friendly staff
M.
A proper third wave coffee shop, serving expertly made espresso drinks in a shop so stylish it's also a design store & a gallery space (you can take your drinks upstairs & sit in a few chairs scattered about). They also serve a small selection of tasty individual cakes.
C. S. S.
Lovely quiet place with gadgets and decorations you can buy. The coffee is great i had. There is a big contrast between the quietness and chillingness in this coffee shop and the busy main street outside.
M. K.
One of my favorite coffee shops in all of Ireland. Go upstairs and enjoy a nice cup with some of their hand curated books and record player. Amazing place!
B. H.
Great coffee and great shop for personal gifts.
K. S.
Hipstertastic!
Fantastic coffee the best that I have had in Galway. But high prices for tiny coffees , cakes and moody hipster staff knocks a star off.
E. R.
Really great espresso! I recommend the cold flat white which is basically a cold latte. They got the perfect balance of sweetness, dairy, and coffee.
S. R.
Got a delicious creamy flat white here. Nicest coffee I've had in a long time. This is a long way from the middle of the road stuff that big franchise places pump out. Highly recommended.
V. K.
Great coffee, lots of other cool stuff too buy, too.
J. O.
Best coffee in Galway. Beautifully quircky shop. Minimalist look that works. Very friendly staff. Impressive Latte Art everytime. 10/10
B.
Incredible coffee in a cute little location!
E.
Hands down, the best coffee in Galway and probably Ireland! Awesome set up, very unique and original! These guys know their coffee and they do it with style!
D. D.
Best Coffee shop in Galway. Nice to get a bit of peace and quiet upstairs on a busy street with really good coffee and nice music and a daycent selection of coffee table books too.
B. F.
Best coffee in Galway IMO. Very friendly staff who know their coffee and lots of options to chose from. Really chic, I wish more coffee places were like this.
H. J.
The best carrot cake and great coffee too
D. T.
Fantastic coffee, friendly and quick baristas. Very clean, designer inspired interior with interesting products to make the sit down enjoyable and provocative.
M. P.
Like for such a highly rated coffee shop it was very meh
Service was meh everything was very meh today
Maybe I don’t get the hype but it was grand have had better coffee in hipster coffee shops in cork
A. V.
Cozy and relaxing shop, you can drink while listening some good music by the record player, sitting under a big window in front of the street; beautiful corner. Very pretty unusual objects and prints. Just love it.
K. F.
Excellent, friendly coffee. Best decaf in Galway. Worth going upstairs for a browse.
D. O.
Beautiful little coffee shop with gorgeous art and amazing coffee
S. O. T.
Great staff, great coffee, great atmosphere! The best coffee shop in Galway that you could pass the day in with all their fabulous books and gadgets!
P. H.
This is a perfect example of how many meanings can Art have and how does it express itself in craft and modern society. Minimalistic, very stylish place with friendly and coffee inspired staff.
O. Z.
Lovely place to nice cup of coffee.
K. O.
Great coffee & friendly baristas. Prob best coffee in galway
R. B.
Good coffee but nonetheless expensive for that it offers. Should a cup of coffee, no matter how fancy the beans, ever equal half an hour's minimum wage? You decide.
M. M.
Amazing coffee in a very cozy building where you can enjoy a lot of design while you have your great latte!!!
J. P.
Love this place! I'm from Melbourne and I'm always searching for coffee shops like we have at home and this one is definitely worth a visit.
M. S.
Okay, it's a bit hipster but the coffee is the best I've had in Galway by a country mile! Highly recommended.
T. C.
Great coffee in a cosy and quickly atmosphere.
J. C.
This a great resting spot while in downtown Galway market area. Sit outside and people watch while listening to snippets of music by local buskers. This is also recognized by the McKennas Guide
p. t.
Lovely coffee. Lovely staff. Really nice post cards and lots of nice art.
E. L.
Small but really cute place with 3 floors. Coffees are so good quality. Many amazing postcards too.
B. K.
High end Coffee and bespoke designer items. The packaging design of each item is paricularly slick. Comfy nooks and crannies throughout the shop and gallery where to enjoy the coffee
D. W.

S. L.
The most stylish knick-knacks around, and an incredible winter hot chocolate on offer, a must visit when passing through the Latin Quarter!
A. R.
Excellent coffee but the price for a tiny flat white has gone from €3 (as expensive as the top places in Dublin) to €3.20.
P. P.
Great coffee and pastries!

The best mocha in town.
M. Z.
Lovely place and great coffee
J. Z.
The only place for coffee-snob quality coffee in Galway. Price is high but excellent coffee!
