Loved this place, was never there before and will certainly go again. Its full of antiquities and very interesting memorabilia, a real fire and not a television in sight....bliss.

Great little spot.
Very quirky decor, beautiful outdoor seating area.
The food is incredible- there is a limited menu as all the food is made fresh on site with very locally sourced ingredients.
The cakes are to die for! And the coffee is excellent.
I cannot recommend this highly enough! A hidden gem in the heart of Callan.

Excellent menu, great selection for everyone. Service was very friendly and knowledge. The sun was shining so we got to eat in the courtyard which is a wonderful sun trap. Best coffee I have had in a long time, looking forward to going back

Food is pure and amazing. Relaxing environment. Dessert menu changes daily. Coffee is smooth and not too bitter. Soup, vegeterian options, scones, cookies, cakes. Staffs are really friendly and nice.

Really nice cafe, big sitting area outside and all products locally sourced.
The brunch and cakes selection although small read really enjoyed by all of us. Coffee was good however I was really impressed by the Basque burnt cheesecake which took me back to Santo Tomas fair years ago.

We were on the road and someone rescinded this place. At first I wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be a hidden gem. Beautiful and calm place. The staff were super friendly and let my gf eat her own food because she had allergies. I ordered an avocado toast and loved it. The coffee and the dessert were superb. Aoife was super friendly.

Excellent arts space and Cafe, very friendly people and an all round interesting place to visit.
This is an evolving kind of space, at time of writing (Aug 2017) it has half the courtyard roofed in with a stage for whatever is on, there's a clay wood-fired pizza oven and just one toilet. There's is also a small cinema/screening space.
In the next few months it is planned to build a new kitchen and run more food and music events. Check FB page for up to date information.

Quaint is one term for this cafe but warm and friendly are also appropriate. Food is good and good value. It's an old shop/pub with the fittings still in place, sadly no beer but tea and coffee are plenty.

Get the apple and ginger shot. The desserts .... actually all the food is so tasty and wholesome. Eating now so .... bye.
Quirky, arty decor. Used to be a pub, dairy, hardware, grocery and undertaker's. Featured in movie "Breakfast on Pluto". Gorgeous.

Fennelly's is a wonderful cute café, you feel immediatelly at home when you enter it! It is lovely to have a slice of cake or something else from the menu there. Moreover, there are often gigs on saturdays, which change with every concert.
All in all it is a cultural, homely spot with delicious food!
K. B.

A unique cafe experience, emergent from a genuine interest in this historic town, and a deep desire to continue a tradition of local enterprise.
The basics; coffee great, food great - the core of any good cafe. But in addition, Fennelly's has an interior that has to be seen first-hand. The building has been used by undertakers, publicans, butchers and grocers over the decades, and you can see features of all these business. There has been some kind of premises on this spot since medieval times, and Etaoin the current custodian can tell you loads of the building's history.
There is a very definite ethos at work here, and it shows. I loved my visit to Fennelly's and I can't wait to come back and sample some more food, coffee and atmosphere!
