S. R.All of the food we had here was amazing, easily the standout meals of our trip (both dinner and breakfast). Room was lovely and comfortable, and staff were extremely friendly and kind. We'd never have thought to stay here as it's a bit outside Sligo, but we're recommended it and are so glad we came. We'll definitely stay, and eat here, again next time we're in the area.

M. F.We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and had such a feeling of calm and warmth from the moment we stepped in. I loved the touch of having the bedside radio playing when you arrive. The rooms are a good size and having the couch and TV space to the side gives the room a bigger feel. The bathroom was modern, great shower and had lovely voya products. We had dinner in the restaurant which was really delicious- great menu selection and friendly and efficient staff. We will definitely visit here again.

a. r.We discovered this beautiful little, boutique hotel recently and what a lovely find!! The room was beautifully decorated with wonderful attention to detail. The fragrance of voya oils and the music on the vintage radio greeted us when we entered. The decor was warm and unique with vintage and upcycled pieces. The restaurant was excellent and we had a delicious dinner and breakfast!! The staff were friendly and helpful returning a forgotten item by post with no fuss. We will definitely be returning!!
R. A.I have to say this place was incredible from start to finish. We booked very last minute, and were welcomed in and shown to a fabulous room at the top floor of the hotel on its own. Lovely touches like the radio playing and a beautiful room with sofas and 2 TVs (one to watch in bed and one with the sofa area) and a little kitchenette area (just a sink coffee machine and kettle). The place is beautifully decorated and renovated. The bathroom had a lovely waterfall shower and bath with luxurious VOYA products (a fancy independent seaweed spa in Strand Hill nearby). It is quite rare to find such great little boutique hotels like this in remote locations in Ireland, but it was very stylish and cool. Not the cheapest but I would say reasonably priced at €99 for a double room.
It was a Thursday in late September so not overly busy but the hotel was fully booked and dinner was quite lively although we didn’t eat there and got a Chinese takeaway from a local Chinese. The bar wasn’t jam packed but nice and busy with a cute vibe. The Driftwood is a perfect place to come for a relaxing stay with magnificent views over Rosses point.
2 of the radiators in our room seemed to not quite work properly but the staff were very attentive and tried to help fix them a few times. They threw in a free breakfast (amazing) and a couple of glasses of wine which we were more than happy to accept as it wasn’t too cold!
We went sea swimming the next morning at the beach which was a ten minute walk away, and the hotel kindly provided us with fresh towels.
All in all we had an amazing stay at The Driftwood, I really couldn’t fault the staff and their attentiveness as well as the gorgeous decor of the hotel and the stunning location!
We stayed in the downstairs cafe/ bar the next day to work remotely and I had the most delicious seafood chowder.
We can’t wait to come back again and visit! 10/10. Thank you to everyone at The Driftwood!
U. G.The food was good and interior is really beautiful. They have few different options on the menu, also wine and cocktails available. We didn’t reserve the table but waited outside and were call in around 30 minutes later when someone canceled (you can leave your phone number and will be called up later) staff was extremely nice! Outdoor seating is available.

O. K.Driftwood is gorgeous. The food we had was really delicious. I had the most gorgeous chowder and lobster there. The beetroot sourdough bread divine. The rooms are really nicely appointed and decor is simple. Lovely touches like the radio playing when you arrive in room. It was lovely to get away after lockdown and the staff, service and standard of their effort here made it really enjoyable. Highly recommend and would love to see more places like this.

R. N.Lovely decor and great view of the sea. Buttermilk chicken tenders were delicious. My friend is vegetarian and she really liked her Moroccan chickpea dish. They had their own IPA which was tasty. Definitely would recommend it if you are in Sligo.

One thing to note is that my dad went for the fish and chips and said that it was "the best fish and chips I've ever had," which is really saying something coming from him so i would highly recommend this restaurant. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, what more could one ask for.

Me! too hungry to send back , just ate it but it was poor . Wife sent hers back... They took it , put the same meat back on the pan & sent it back well overdone & tough. When it was commented on after the is Everything OK? They didn't charge for it. The reply was 'I could see it wasn't great so I've taken it off the bill" ... What a false economy, a freshly remade item would have been paid for and generated goodwill... I don't understand why you'd send out food that you know is poor. ... Poor standard.

A. T.Very nice, modern atmosphere. On a sunny and warm day, they open the big glas front doors and you can sit inside and enjoy the view. Or you can sit at one of the tables outside. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food is also very good. There are a variety of different menu items, from sandwiches to burgers to fish meals. I resisted the 16 € Smokehouse burger and had a 8,50 € Club sandwich with chicken instead. For a family of four (one kids meal) , we paid 50 € including drinks and tips - that is a good deal. The quality of the food is also very good, especially the fresh fish dishes. My son had the smoked pulled pork bowl - having lived in the south, we know our BBQ. The pork was tender, but you couldn't tell if it was smoked at all, because it was smothered in BBQ sauce. Not a bad tasting sauce, but not really the experience we were looking for. But all in all a very pleasant lunch.

We were so pleased with the rooms which were charming and well equipped with comfy beds, a claw foot tub in the room which was such an unusual feature. The food was also really good and we had all 3 meals here. Typical Irish fare combined with lighter bites. Service and staff were also lovely and friendly. Would love to go back soon!

I was the only diner as the day in question was for lunch and closed at tea time ! So I was keen to try rustic food to protect me from the howler of a wind from the West I faced walking on the way to the point!.
Mushroom soup, followed by big lamb chops!
This was so lamb tasting that it resulted in my sucking the bone for the last of the meat. Yum Yum Folkes !
Washed down with this craft beer !
Truly tastes like a beer for lamb , mushroom soup ..... nice walk back to the point as the bus bringing the server home at 17:30hrs passed. She will get the tip the next day. She deserved it she sold the place so well. Can’t recommend this experience highly enough.
