If you are into golf ⛳ then this is a must. Roughly 2km from Ennis town, can't comment on the food, simply because the chef's were out due to covid, room was excellent 👌

Very personable hotel. Elaine is amazing. Lovely lady altogether. And her son is a gentleman. Food was gorgeous. Highly recommend

This was a family oriented hotel with lots of kids everywhere including the bar until all hours in the evening. It was not a 4- star as was advertised, when compared to other 4-star rated hotels in Ireland. The room was rather plain, nothing special. We would not choose to stay here again. If you are a family with kids traveling on a budget however, this may be a good pick for you.

We held a surprise 60th for mum at hotel Woodstock and Elaine helped us organise the perfect night. The food was excellent and the staff were fantastic. Would definitely recommend Hotel Woodstock for any event. We were so happy with everything and my guests had a super night.

Entrance foyer was Very smokey from turf fire which I didn't like. Need to look at ventilation in foyer area can't be good for staff breathing in fumes all day. Food at breakfast was fine but dinner wasn't good. Wine choice was particularly poor. Spa great pool small and staff tended to disappear so had to help ourselves to towels. While hotel needs audit of its storage areas there were doors to storage areas left open and storage of towels in corridors it gave impression that hotel was not well organised. Nobody cleaned rooms and we were there fri sat and sun night so no clean towels or replacement tea coffee items. I guess it could be blamed on Covid but seemed lazy to me. Could do with separate area for guests to watch TV and relax away from the main bar which was crowded and bit chaotic. I think lot of hung over wedding guests from day before ...wifi non existent and mobile phone coverage was also very poor so couldn't use mobile data. TV in room had seen better days. There were 2 of us but there was 2 single beds operating as a double plus a single plus a cot. It made room crowded and we didn't ask for that many beds. Beds were comfortable. Place was clean but carpets were stained. Could do with upgrade of decor but good value for price.

Had a lovely trip to Ennis for the long weekend. The staff and management at Hotel Woodstock were outstanding. The food was delicious, which can be difficult as we are both vegetarian but we had plenty of choice and the flavours were incredible. The rooms were really comfy and the breakfast was spot on too- again catering for the veggies! We will certainly be back

Was there for a wedding beautiful place, excellent room. Would definitely go back.

Amazing staff, super friendly and helpful. Bent over backwards for all guests. The grounds are beautiful, rooms are spacious and the food is to die for🤤🤤

A very pleasant experience start to finish.
My fiancée and I did a long weekend in Ennis and stayed in Hotel Woodstock.
The staff were extremely warm and friendly throughout our two nights, food was delicious and great variety on show (we're vegetarians and had options which was great). The room was spacious and clean, leisure facilities great and common areas were ideal for relaxing in (open fire was a lovely touch).
Genuinely can't speak higher of this place and it's staff (and owners), great value also.
Looking forward to our next trip and keep on doing what you do so well ✌🏼

Staff are really friendly, good disabled access.
Management are very hands on and ensure that all guests are welcomed.
Pool is ideal for family, especially when catering for disabled users with the steps.
Food is excellent, my kids loved the knickerbocker glory.
Completely stress free especially during Covid restrictions.
Will visit again.

Old World Style. Love it. Friendly, well trained waiter staff plus so friendly too. Spotless Hotel. Reception very nice and speedy check in. Will return.

Played golf - course superb apart form greens which were hollow tined. My bad luck, has to be done. Very heavy rain on the day but held up well, rough heavy but fair - great challenge

The hotel standards has dropped since our stay here 2 years ago. For a 4 star hotel so many things need to be upgraded. Some chairs in the dining room are tattered and need updating. Same with the lobby area. As for the room and the lack of cleaning there standards there compared with 2 years ago dropped dramatically. Strange thing in a Covid era they only clean the rooms after your 3rd day with the hotel. We were out the majority of the time. I am giving it a 3 just for some of the staff. Even the food was hit and miss. If there is other options open to you in Ennis I would say go there with our recent stay.

We just had a lovely family holiday, Gina at reception was really lovely and all staff are very welcoming. Bedroom could do with a refurb but overall lovely friendly experience.

Not recommended.
Paid almost 500 euro for a 3-night family stay of two adults and 2 children.
What we got:
1) no room service despite even putting up the sign on the door knob. Ended up storing trash and used nappies in a Lidl bag
2) electricity in the room stopped working one day and had to be fixed
3) floor lamp and table lamp not working (probably light bulbs)
4) phone in the room not working (had to go to reception with two kids to tell about other broken stuff, as my husband was in the swimming pool)
5) one morning we were out, but received a letter in the room later saying that there was no hot water in the morning
6) pieces of napkins swimming in the swimming pool
7) saunas not working (might have been closed due to Covid safety, but the signs said "out of order")
8) when we asked for water in the restaurant it either took too long or a pitcher was brought, but no glasses
9) and the cherry on top: one evening we were having a dinner at the hotel restaurant, my husband was almost finishing his dinner and the drinks were still not there, so he reminded a waiter to bring the drinks. That evening I decided to order a glas of wine. After some time the waiter brought the drinks and put them on our table. I took my wine glass to have a sip and it turned out that the bottom of the glass was all in wine and ot was how it was delivered to our table. Unfortunately I didn't notice this when I picked up the glass, so the red wine drops fell on my clothes, which we all know is a huge disappointment for any woman. Had to run to a restroom to try and wash off the wine stains from my trousers and top.
Turned out while I was away, my husband called a hotel manager and made all the points out clearly. The hotel manager apologised, offered dry cleaning, desserts, toys for kids etc.
But it was not the point for me.
I was just wondering why did everything have to be so sloppy if the hotel was not cheap at all?
In warm countries you can maybe not pay much attention to all this stuff, as the weather, the beaches, the warm sea, all the summer activities can compensate for any lack in the level of service. But in Ireland it is absolutely different, cause due to the often unfavorable weather conditions even in the summer, having a good level of service where you stay can help create at least some sort of a normal holiday experience. I don't understand why there is no understanding and no focus on this in Ireland whatsoever.
My experience was unfortunately negative.
I hope my review helps change anything.

We are just home after a fantastic stay at Hotel Woodstock.
We had booked the Santa Experience overnight stay with bed and breakfast and Sunday lunch. It was the best Santa trip we have had. We also booked in for dinner on the Saturday evening.
Every meal that we had was beautiful, and all the staff were really pleasant and helpful.
We went for a swim on Sunday after booking our slot and the children had a great time, the pool was lovely and warm.
With the strange times we are in it was great to have such a fabulous break away as a family.
Santa was brilliant.
We were made to feel very welcome and I would highly recommend for anyone planning a family break.

Came to stay on a family break with two children 12 & 9 weeks. The staff couldn't have been nicer. They are so courteous & efficient. Breakfast & dinner were excellent. The room was spotless & the beds were so comfortable. There was plenty of sanitisers available in all areas. Great location close to local amenities. We will definitely be back. All the staff are a credit to this hotel.

We arrived yesterday for a birthday surprise for our daughter. When she reached her room there was a lovely surprise cheesecake and brownie happy birthday plate waiting for her. Our rooms were spotless with comfy beds. The pool was lovely and quite for the girls to enjoy.
From start to finish we couldn't have asked for anymore from the hotel. Staff in every part of the hotel are welcoming, friendly and can not do enough for you. Our evening meal was beautiful and one of the bar staff made the girls beautiful mocktails even though they were not on the menu. Breakfast was yum.
If you are planning a lockdown night away The Woodstock is excellent value for both families and couples and a lovely way to escape some of the madness of corona.

We just spent the long weekend at the Woodstock. The hospitality is out of this world and to all the staff " thank you" who went above and beyond. We particularly would like to thank Kevin, Natasha, Michelle and Gina.
Elaine you really made our stay memorable, not forgetting you Sèan, but Elaine wins this one Lol. Looking forward to our next stay. Laura & David.

Stayed at Hotel Woodstock at the weekend and I was honestly blown away by every aspect of the hotel. The food and the staff were just incredible. Keep up the good work I definitely can't wait to return to sample the beef again it was sensational. Highly recommend visiting the hotel

Selected this hotel as a last minute option based on reviews and seemed family friendly.
Connor gave us a quick check in and explained everything briefly (9/10).
Good family size room on the first floor with a bunk bed for the little one, very clean toilet and assorted toiletries (9/10). Room needs some updates, mold near windows (6/10). Heating was perfect (9/10) Beds very comfortable (9/10). Bar & Restaurant was super good decor bit pricey, staff worked fast to serve and catch up with your rhythm (8/10). Good Irish/Continental breakfast in a big hall with a view.
Only con was the kids club hotel offered which was downstairs in a freezing hall (kids had to use jackets) nothing special just TV, they felt like having been looked after by a bored baby sitter !! maybe in high season this might change.
Pool and Jacuzzi place seemed crowded so didn't used.
Will use this hotel if traveling with family again , as it is of good value !!

The staff in this hotel are unreal. Cant do enuf . Thy pool is never packed out and again the lifeguards cant do enuf to help.

Wonderful hospitality and clean.
The restaurant was very accommodating as we are vegan, even though they had no options on the menu they provided us with a lot!

Nice hotel with fabulous grounds. Stayed here one night, good breakfast and a nice room. Bar and service staff were excellent, however both receptionist's did not seem to know what was going on, I rang to book a room and was told there was none, I then booked one online 5 mins later. When we arrived we tried to book a breakfast slot, which was no problem, we asked to book the pool and we were told that it was to be booked in the morning. When we went to book in the morning we got an earful for not booking it the night before. Other than that it is a nice location to stay

Staff very friendly and courteous and are the hotels best asset
Second time visiting but disappointed this time as hotel has deteriorated a bit since my last visit
Dinner was not great
Breakfast set up during Covid a total disaster
I fully understand the Covid situation and the hotels need for vigilance however I was totally put off the hotel experience following my stay

Stopped in here for food recently on the way back from Lahinch. The hotel and car park were extremely busy, which is always a good sign in my opinion.
We decided to eat in the hotel bar. I must admit, first impressions weren't great. The bar in my opinion seems tired and dated and a little worse for wear. My hesitations soon subsided though, as we were greeted by lovely members of staff, who sat us down, gave us menus and had drinks orders taken.
We ordered a range of dishes and everyone of us was impressed with the portion size as well as taste and presentation. The chicken wings in particular were fantastic. The waitress was also very accommodating with a request from one of our party, so kudos to her and the kitchen team for accommodating that.
All in all, it was a great experience with great food and great staff/guest interaction. I would love to see a refurb done of the bar at some stage in the future, as that was the only possible thing I could fault the place for.

Booked in here for 2 nights staycation with the 20% off for healthcare workers. Reception staff very welcoming and friendly. Rooms warm and cosy and bed comfortable. We treated ourselves to afternoon tea during our stay which was great value for money. Manager of the hotel came to speak to us and other residents to ensure we were enjoying our stay. We really enjoyed our stay

Stayed at the hotel as part of the Christmas Santa experience. The staff and the owners were just an amazing group of people during very challenging times and were so professional, organised and hugely welcoming! The food in the restaurant was just suberb too. Thank you Sean, Elaine and team and would book again.

I love this hotel. We've stayed here on our anniversary every year since we got married. The food is always top notch either in the bar or restaurant. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The rooms are always clean and tidy and the beds are fine and comfortable. The hotel is only a 10 minute spin from Ennis town. There's also a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym which are all very well kept. Definitely worth a stay.

Our trip to Ireland was for my son's wedding and we were only here for 4 days but surely liked our stay at Woodstock Hotel. Nice setting, friendly staff and a good place to be at day's end. We didn't have time to swim but the pools look awesome. Convenient location to the marvelous little village of Ennis.

Good hotel in Ennis. Rooms are very nice, beds super comfy and bathrooms spacious with a powerful shower. Lovely rooms with a view. Everything is top class with the exception of the restaurant, and service at it. It's as slow as it can get. Half hour to be served, 40 minutes for a server to come top up drinks and take dessert orders. I had to go to the bar to find someone to help the cashier so I could pay for the bill: the restaurant, still full of patrons, was left alone for ages. Still, the facilities are great, location is gorgeous, my room's view was of the golf course and the mountains in the back: stunning! I recommend this hotel, but maybe go somewhere else for your meals...

Great place and not bad on prices. Stayed there for the weekend and enjoyed our stay. Lovely people and good food although I didnt stay for food. Rooms are modern like old irish tradition style. I love the old look of the rooms. Would go again maybe next year?
R. C.
A tiny bit run down and older. Rooms are spacious and clean with comfy beds. They have 3 hours free kids club with is great. They also have a pool BUT a patent must be in the water with any kids younger than 12 AND all must wear a swim cap which cost 3 Euros.... That was lame, never seen before. Lastly, breakfast was horrible... Yogurt was bad and eggs tasted like plastic.

My husband and I spent a wonderful few days in the Woodstock Hote, in September. We found the hotel to be a great value. Overall very beautiful common areas and rooms were spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Previously when we would take visitors to the Cliffs of Moher we'd stay at a hotel in Limerick - however, this stay has convinced us that the Hotel Woodstock is going to replace that plan from now on!
A. H.
Would definitely stay there again. All the staff are amazing , very helpful and a good laugh. Lovely hotel , very clean , food is delicious and reasonably priced. Pool is fantastic too.

The hotel was easy enough to locate. The rooms were quaint but comfortable and the beds were very spacious. The selection of food at breakfast was great and was of good quality - the cutlery and crockery could have been a little cleaner though. I thought the value for money was excellent - €30 pp for one night B&B. Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay.

Staff was super pleasant to deal with, from the front desk, cleaning crew, and even the plumber (had a small leak we noticed on arrival and they had it fixed up and were out of the room within 30 minutes of reporting it). Room was comfortable and clean. The wifi was VERY slow especially if you're used to wifi in the States, but the connection was stable so if you're patient with what you're doing it'll be just fine.
J. F.
The food staff and run of the hotel is very good. Only thing that lets this place down is the fact the rooms are in a bad need of some renovating lick of paint could go a big way, other than that really enjoyed my stay here.

Hotel Woodstock is a 67 bedroom, family-run 4 star hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet area on the outskirts of Ennis town. It has an adjoining 18 hole golf course. The hotel's leisure club has a 15m swimming pool & kids facilities. Complimentary wi-fi is provided for guests.
Staff are a pleasure to deal with - they couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. You will get a great night's sleep in the large beds which are extremely comfortable. To start the day the bathroom is equipped with an envigorating power shower. Dinner was very good on the evening we arrived and we also enjoyed afternoon tea the following day.
Breakfast on the first morning was disappointing which seemed to be caused by not having enough staff in place. A number of breakfast items were cold as customers left chafing dishes open and staff were not alert to this. On the second morning it was better but staff still appeared to be insufficient. Maintenance could be better particularly in the bedrooms where headboard and carpet were marked/stained and could do with replacement.
It is a pleasant hotel to relax in and you are inclined to overlook some issues because the staff make you feel so at home.

Clean tidy, slightly dated decor, staff very nice. I was in the pool on Friday 9.30 am and it was surprisingly quiet, started to get busy after 10 ish. Good pool with sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Small kids pool and small kids area with bubbles. Bar food average but was ok.

This was my first visit to The Woodstock and I would definitely return. Staff and Food offer was excellent.
The Hotel is a great base for visiting the many and wonderful sites Co. Clare …

Great hotel. This was an unexpected find. I have been staying in other hotels in Ennis for business for years, but I'll stay here going forward. Staff are extremely professional, the rooms are great and it represents excellent value for money. Food is also lovely too. Highly recommended.

Lovely setting and grand entrance. Lovely spacious room with shower/tub and heated towel rack. Great view from my room. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Friendly staff.
J. -.
Very accommodating and friendly staff. After being awake for 24 hours due to travel they allowed us to check bags and have lunch in their lovely bar. When we entered our room we were greeted with cookies, wine and a welcome message. Great experience.
A.
Excellent hotel . My room was lovely warm cosy. Decent number of TV channels. It was quiet every night on 3rd color.
Excellent buffet breakfast. …

The staff was extremely helpful. The rooms very well appointed and very clean. Service in the bar was fantastic the bartenders were friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend the hotel Woodstock to friends and family, and we will definitely be back
A.
The hotel was clean, staff friendly and helpful and bedrooms large and nicely furnished. It is well placed outside of Ennis town to get round to all the sight-seeing places and close enough to Ennis to get a taxi in to eat in a restaurant. …
A.
We spent three nights at the Woodstock Hotel. Although it's slightly out of town the taxi service was very good and we never had a problem going out by taxi or coming home late at night. …
A.
Had a lovely weekend break in this hotel, staff are brilliant and so friendly. Excellent value for money both for accommodation and restaurant. Only slight fault were the towels had stains but overall a great place to stay and we will return
A.
The hotel helped achieve the end goal of our weekend to have a relaxing stay with our two young children, swimming pool facilities were ideal and handily located close to the rooms. The evening meal was very enjoyable and the service was excellent and very friendly staff.
A.
Nice clean hotel, not far from the town of Ennis. Large rooms, with big, comfortable bed. Room had no A/C, only a small electric heater which worked well but was quite noisy. Breakfast of good quality too
N. M.
My family and I with friends had a fabulous 4 course meal there, a few days later We had lovely afternoon tea , the food was very good, service excellent. The reception is huge ,the bar quiet small but very cosy.
J. D.
Very friendly staff. Great food. Lovely clean pool area. The room was spacious and clean. The kids club was a nice bonus.

A very posh hotel in a corner of Ennis Town. The window opened to look over the Golf course right next to it. Has an excellent leisure centre where the staff is as helpful as they can be. They have their own restaurant and bar showing football and golf tournaments. I was there for work so they made sure I got a quiet corner room without any disturbance, and a very comfortable bed. If you're visiting this town and weather you're into those activities or not, you have to consider this place. I was out of option with my first choice so I went ahead and tried them, but would happily stay here again. Keep it up guys!
A.
overall our stay was pleasent enough. It did not start to good when the curtains in the room were too small to cover the window and falling apart. The evening meal menu was the same each night with little choice only 3 main meals and 2 …

Another "its ok hotel". Breakfast quick and without much variety. The croissants were good but finished around 9. Not really fresh fruit here.
We just stayed for one night 8n our way to kerry. It was ok for that.
The pool and jacuzzi are good though.
A.
Enjoyed our stay, would definitely return. Receptionist that greeted us was very welcoming. Rooms were spotless, big and very comfortable. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend but also close enough to Ennis town when we wanted something a bit more lively

We had our wedding, both ceremony and reception, at Woodstock Hotel last month and I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. From the moment we first met with Elaine to enquire about their wedding package to the moment we checked out 16 months later as husband and wife, EVERY SINGLE member of staff were absolutely fantastic. They bent over backwards to make our day everything we could have ever wanted and more and for that we’re forever grateful. We had the most wonderful wedding at Woodstock and will forever carry with us the wonderful memories we made there. Their wedding package is such great value. Everything you could think of from centerpieces to a fully stocked sweetcart (which I hear was a total hit with not only the kids but some adults too). The entire day ran so smoothly thanks to the dedication of their staff aswell as Elaine and Sean themselves. The room set up for both the ceremony and reception was so beautiful and the food was delicious. I’m heartbroken our day is over but if I could do it all over again, knowing what I know now, I’d book Woodstock again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend them to any couples looking for their perfect wedding venue. You won’t find better!

Review of the leisure centre
The leisure centre at the Woodstock Hotel is really nice. The membership is reasonably priced and the option of “pool area only “ makes it very attractive to people who don’t need a gym.
The pool area is nice and clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. However, one star deduction for the too small area roped off for lapse swimmers and for the state of the ladies’ changing rooms and lockers. A tidy-up and expansion to accommodate a few private changing cubicles plus proper safe and lockable lockers is desperately needed there.
Apart from that, thumbs up, I really enjoy going there and doing a bit of healthy gentle exercise! 👍
A.
Woodstock us a lovely place. Lovely staff, comfortable bed . Evening meal was only fair not much of choice. Pool was not yet open, but can't wait to return again. Hopefully they will give good rates for singles as my partner returns to Ennis often on business.
D. M.
Lovely stay, couldn’t do enough for us. Food in the bar was delicious and breakfast was great too. Staff were super friendly and went above and beyond. We’ll be back
R. F.
Beautiful hotel. Very quiet and clean, and the bar food was lovely. The breakfast had great variety and the staff were hard at work to make sure we had everything.
A.
Accommodation excellent, Staff very friendly and efficient, did not try the Spa facilities on this occasion but will do so on future visit. …
A.
Hotel could benefit from a little updating. Carpets excessively worn in the room we stayed in. Food was quite tasty despite the poor attitude of staff in the bar. Overall though, a nice quiet hotel just outside of Ennis - ideal for exploring the Clare countryside.
E. E.
This hotel was excellent value, clean and warm with lovely staff. The only thing that lets ot down is the food and bar. I would certainly stay here again but dine elsewhere.
M. B.
Lovely hotel. Had barfood on two nights, Guinness stew, and Apple crumble, on second night had fish & chips both were lovely. Staff very friendly.
A.
Being a regular visitor to Clare, spent a three-day visit to the Woodstock Hotel in Ennis recently. Received a very warm welcome from reception staff who not alone were pleasant but who went out of their way to facilitate in every way …
K. C.
Our room overlooking the fourth green of the adjoining golf course was large and airy. The bar/restaurant is comfy and reasonably priced and the staff were very helpful.

Had diner here last night for my mothers birthday we had a great evening, food fantastic and staff superb special mention to Cliona in the restaurant who was brilliant with my two girls who couldn't stop talking about her on the way home.
The friendliness of the staff really went a long way to making us delighted that we have our wedding booked here for later in the year, keep up the good work.
A.
Really nice stay, pool was excellent, staff were genuine and friendly, food was good and there was plenty of space in the rooms and the communal areas. Roaring fire In the Kinney added greatly to the ambience, staff were always there to help and great with children.

Very helpful staff and very enjoyable place to stay

First rate service and food. Manager and staff very hospitable and friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. A very nice experience, I would strongly recommend this hotel.

I really cannot say enough about this hotel and their staff.
My (now) husband and I took a trip to Ireland to elope on the Cliffs of Moher and we booked two nights at Hotel Woodstock for the night before and night of our wedding. The night before our wedding we had dinner at the restaurant at the hotel and then started to head to bed for our big day. The owner saw us heading to our rooms and asked why we were heading to bed so early and jokingly asked us why we didn't want to crash an Irish wedding since there was a wedding there that night. We explained to her that we had our own Irish wedding the next day! She was so happy and excited for us and was unbelievably helpful. The owners and the rest of the staff ordered a bouquet for me since I didn't have one. They made dinner reservations for us at a fabulous place near the Cliffs. They brought a stool to our room for my makeup artist. During the ceremony, they moved all of our luggage to the bridal suite and surprised us with champaign and desserts and rose pedals. The pianist in the restaurant even played our song for us so we could have our first dance. They made us feel like VIPs! Everyone that worked there was incredibly helpful and just the nicest, happiest people you will ever meet. I can't stop telling everyone here (in the USA) about how Hotel Woodstock made our wedding so memorable and just absolutely perfect.
Sean and Elaine (the owners) obviously have a passion for their business. They made us feel like family and we were honored to have our wedding night there. We will definitely plan to celebrate an anniversary there when we can return to Ireland!

Excellent Breakfast. Friendly & extremely helpful staff. Brilliant Leisure facilities. Quiet location for families. Golf course on hotel grounds. Kids Club. Handy hotel for travelling Wild Atlantic Way & scenery in Co. Clare.
A.
Lovely hotel with newly refurbished rooms. Bathrooms ok but need to be refurbished too. Nice gym and pool facilities. Staff are very polite and helpful and food is excellent. I would highly recommend the Woodstock hotel for value and good quality.

We had an excellent stay at The Woodstock Hotel which is just outside Ennis in the countryside. I inform the hotel that my wife was a coeliac which was no problem, the dinner menus was altered to her needs and breakfast was exceptional …

The hotel was very nice and very affordable. We loved the fire burning in the lobby at all times of the day. The people were very nice and friendly and helpful. We loved staying there and would definitely go back

Set in its own grounds with an 18 hole golf course and just 10 minutes from Ennis town. The hotel has a swimming pool and spa, with generous rooms and good food it's a nice place to stay.
U. I.
Quiet area, friendly staff. Good parking nearby. Grass cutting on golf course (I don't play golf) from 0900, so not too bad. Food fine in bar area, restaurant not open mid week. Swimming pool and Sacuzzi available.
K. C.
Beautiful hotel. We had a first holy communion there. The staff couldn't do enough for us.The food was lovely. Most helpful staff I have come across in a while dealing with a large party.
C. B.
Rooms are fine but the bar food very mediocre. Chicken supreme was very dry as was the burger. The whole place lacks atmosphere and is very bland and unwelcoming, in my opinion. Would I use it again? No. Poor value for money
M. K.
Really enjoyed my stay! Warm & friendly welcome & staff, good food, convenient parking, location perfect for touring Co. Clare. Reasonable rates, definitely worth a return visit.... 👍👏😎
A.
The hotel Woodstock was the perfect place for an extended family to stay. We had a lovely time swimming in the pool, having a drink at the bar and dinner. I highly recommend this hotel for any occasion.
A.
I feel the bedrooms and bathrooms could do with a bit more personalisation as previous stated. It would make the hotel more worthy of 4* status. Also, as previous stated, I think if there was a bit more staff training and more staff on duty, it might pick up a bit and be a better experience for guests.
R. P.
The hotel was quite nice after leaving a 5 Star. The staff was great. Even the owner introduced himself. The bar and menu is limited but adequate.
A.
The hotel was gorgeous. The fireplace was going the whole time we were there, the staff was SO nice, and the setting was very pretty. We don't have a single complaint about the hotel.

Rooms very clean. Comfortable beds. Very impressed with the "young" staff at dinner. Chatty and helpful. Excellent service.
Only fault was bar food. Vol au vont was cold and soup was bland/tasteless.

The hotel has great scenery and has a lovely pool and gym facilities, the rooms are nice and clean and have a tv, the residents bar is comfy and quite and bar staff are polite
A.
We stayed at the Woodstock just outside of Ennis. The staff were wonderfully, refreshingly professional, courteous and very capable. Everything about the hotel was above average, but the stand out is the quality of customer care. Second to none.

Stayed here for a family event. Room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable, though the room itself was a bit dated.
The restaurant was a little understaffed for the large family dinner that had been booked, so service was a little slow. This was the weekend before Christmas, though.
The bar was disappointing. I'm a beer geek, and I was pleasantly surprised when I checked their website, before our visit, to see they had a page on their "premium" and craft beers. On closer inspection, there were no actual premium beers on the page - Tiger and Moretti are perfectly ordinary Heineken beers. They did have several types of draught Franciscan Well listed, so happy days - or so I thought. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the bar, they didn't actually have *any* craft taps, or bottles, and the barman tried to tell me that Cute Hoor was a craft beer (it isn't - it's a really bad IPA-like effort from Heineken). Frankly, it's not good enough for a tourist venue to exclusively sell macro beer when Ireland has over 40 indigenous craft breweries these days, producing excellent beer. A manager did apologise, though, and told me they were looking at getting beers supplied by a local brewery in the new year.
That gripe aside, we enjoyed our stay - service was friendly, the hotel was comfortable, and the family enjoyed the leisure centre. Would stay again.
A.
Hotel is undergoing renovation and updating so parts are still old and warn but understandably that it will take time. When finished it will be a great. Pool and amenities were not open unfortunately but will add considerably to the stay in future visits.

Excellent staff very friendly and accommodating couldn't be more helpful. Great leasure facilities lovely dinner in the evening. We will definitely revisit

It is so friendly and pleasant here. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Food is excellent and a great Leisure centre as well. Well worth a visit to as the offers available are great value.
C. W.
They were kind enough to keep the bar open late for us to get food one night because our flight was delayed so we checked in very late. The only down side is that there was no air conditioners or fans however we were there during a heatwave so maybe it would normally be cool enough not to need them.
J. P.
Great customer service, incredibly friendly staff, great amenities, food wasnt Michelin star quality but I enjoyed everything I ate while there. The Larry McEvoy show on Saturday night was also thoroughly enjoyable. Drinks at a good price as well for someone who's used to Dublin prices.
A.
Please see review on previous page, fantastic staff, from the time we checked in till we checked out, staff have time for a chat, are warm and no request is too much trouble, the staff all seem very experienced and know what to do. Rooms lovely, bar lovely, food lovely.

Very relaxing friendly staff the pool is tops. The food was great and Santa was there so the kids had a ball!!

Bathrooms could do with renovating. Our shower curtain didnt meet the wall so water sprayed out and tiling appeared old. It was also a special occassion for me and my partner and I requested when I booked that if an upgrade became available …
A.
This hotel is well worth a visit We stayed here in April The staff were very pleasant, food was good, leisure centre very clean although changing areas very small. Lovely fire in the foyer very welcoming

My experience of the Woodstock is one my most memorable of any hotel I have stayed in thanks to the duty manager John O' Sullivan. Thanks to new road signage and obviously new roads since I last visited Clare, my husband and I were being directed to the Lahinch Road which was not obvious due to rebranding, so I was very late getting to hotel. On arrival in Ennis my husband and I were circling the hotel unknowns to ourselves and at each time I called the hotel, the staff were very polite and gave me plenty of instructions, however as the signage for hotel was almost invisible in the evening, late arrivals may go home. The duty Manager John very kindly spoke to me and then drove out the road to our car and let us follow him back at 12.30 am and had the foresight to have others parked at other roundabouts to ensure we didn't get lost any more than we were ( we were 5 mins from hotel for over an hour ). ( John should have been going home but stayed until he knew we were there safely. When I arrived with my husband to the Hotel, I was greeted with smiles, well wishes and a fabulous cup of tea ( hotel tea is not normally nice ) and some delicious and appetising sandwiches. I cannot commend or praise highly enough this sincere way we were treated by the duty manager and can only say that it is truly refreshing to be greeted by a warm and welcoming hotel which is by the way beautifully refurbished with the leisure facilities open the day of our stay which look amazing. The following morning the gorgeous view across the land was impressive and the staff friendly and helpful. In all my years travelling, this has been the hotel that has shown the most honest, kind and friendly hospitality which I am delighted to say was along with a true 4* experience and John O'Sullivan has truly shone as an ambassador for the County and hospitality industry. We loved it all and will go back to make more use of the beautiful area again. Faith on reception the following morning was also super sweet, professional and helpful and was swamped with queries on the phone and at reception but never faltered in her beaming smile and had each and every guest feeling the most important person in the hotel. Thank you Woodstock not only for turning an awful experience into a great one, but for rejuvenating my faith in Irish Hospitality and our beautiful hotels along the breath-taking West Coast. Margaret

This hotel is ideally place for exploring the wild Atlantic way, but also ideal for a quite break away. The facilities, staff and food are second to none. It would be our favorite hotel to stay in for a break away.

Hotel seems to have been refurbished. Nice entrance hall and we ate in the pub area which has quite a good menu. There of course is a golf course attached to the hotel. Plenty of parking
S. A.
The staff was very kind and helpful. However, the room itself was outdated and not very clean. Based on my experience, this hotel is not anything close to a four star hotel.
