Phenomenal. An outstandingly incredible experience - a wonderful induction with an 8 and 4 year old! So good. We wanted to introduce our family to climbing so took the 4 person rope induction - Áine was lovely and welcoming and Luke was fabulous. We started on walls, got into overhanging steps and up the full height. Perfectly pitched to all in the party,ukr was fantastic with the kids and perfect for all. Our expectations were exceeded and a new fulfilling hobby sport found. In regard to safety and professionalism, Luke was exceptional in attention to detail, attentiveness and support. We were so pleased and impressed. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved this place. Was our groups first time rock climbing and our instructor really helped up 3 of our group have been on a weightloss journey and last year we never would have been able for this but with the proper guidance and motivation we all made it to the top. Really fun for groups or solo and they are all about safety.

Booked a session here with a group, including two kids. I called to check if there were any special conditions for kids and the person on the phone (Adam) was super helpful, assisting me with booking our session over the phone. The whole experience at the centre was great. One of the kids was very nervous and our instructor devised a game to help his confidence (shoutout to Chris at Awesome Walls). We all had a blast, and will definitely be back!

Had my daughters 13th birthday party here. It was perfect, great for small groups as they had their instructor and had loads of time to try different walls while the rest watched and chatted. They loved it. Perfect for that age group as didn't want a party with the usual awful food and forced fun! Staff are so so lovely and great service. Thanks Awesome Walls.

They seem to have gotten a lot more money-grabbing in recent years which is very off-putting. The facilities are great but a pal who hasn't been in a few years has been told he has to do 100 euro induction. I brought my aunt and bf as they both have kids they wanted to climb with and they did the induction course and were both FAILED. This resulted in sad children and two adults that are supposed to pay to do the induction again in order to climb. Either the staff can train people effectively or not. Honestly, it's a figure 8. I was sorry I hadn't gotten a chance to teach them before we went. So advice, to train people yourself before going if you are an experienced climber wanting to bring friends for a taster session. I get that insurance is a big issue but I thought that was what disclaimer forms and maybe a quick demo of basic skills is for.

This place is fantastic. We did the 1 hour teaser session with our instructor Chris. We had a fantastic time learning the basics and testing ourselves on the different climbs. Chris was brilliant, so patient with everyone and really encouraged the kids. I can't recommend this place enough. We will DEFINITELY be back.

The name says it all. It's awesome! I did the induction course today to brush up my belaying skills and the instructor was excellent. Kids and I spent almost 4 hours climbing.

Great climbing and friendly helpful staff. Took my niece here for her first ever climbing session. The check in process was friendly and straight forward. She had a great day out. The facilities were great and the mix of beginner to advanced climbs on the main walls and in the vast bouldering area was exceptional. It is among the best indoor gyms I've been to anywhere in the world.

This climbing gym gives you plenty of options to climb in bouldering and lead. There are couple autobelays on different walls. So you can come on your own and practice stamina and high wall. Weekends are quite busy. They are hosting birthday parties as well. Staff is friendly. I like the gear shop and a lovely caffe choises. As well there are area for kids to play around.

One of the best experiences I've had. First of all I messed up our booking getting the time incorrect. We got there 30 minutes late. When we did get there we were surprised to hear they were able to shuffle a few things around to give us the full hour. Our instructor Aine was fantastic for people that had no climbing experience. Aine made us calm and she was encouraging too, we felt safe the whole time. I would reccomend coming here to anyone that is experienced or wanting to try something new.

I brought my family over Christmas and it was amazing fun, the instructor was brilliant with the kids and myself and we managed to climb many different sections and loved every minute. Great staff, the intro sessions are well run and the range of both bouldering and roped climbs means there's something for everyone. The coffee/ hot chocolate here is really good and so are the little cakes! Price is great for what you get out of your time here

My son is 10 and he loves Awesome walls. The training is outstanding and the instructors are great with kids. All the staff are really friendly and very helpful. There is ample parking, there is refreshments in the shop, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cakes. They offer climbing for beginners both kids and adults with all the equipment supplied, it's not just for the pros but they are good the watch. With a young kids play area having a coffee and relaxing is easy, there are tables and chairs or sofas with tables. My overall experience is excellent.

Really excellent family experience. Sean was the perfect host and trainer and the kids really loved it. A few people who thought it was ok to not bother wearing a face mask would be our only complaint but it was fairly easy to avoid them. No hesitation in recommending!

We had booked our daughters 11th birthday party before lockdown but obviously couldn't be held. We went last week instead. Awesome walls were great when I kept rearranging the date ( it is hard trying to liase with 5 parents as to dates etc etc !) They had such a fabulous time . The instructor was lovely . So encouraging to the girls -you can do it !! Just brilliant. Would highly highly recommend this place .

Great venue, facilities, etc. Relaxed Atmosphere. Lunch/picnic Tables & lockers as well as a small play area. My child wasn’t such a fan of “The School of Rock” - too much waiting around (4 climbs) but was very happy bouldering / climbing on our own time. Beware parties/groups etc taking over the walls - if your planning a day trip could be worth calling ahead to see what bookings are like for the day?

I would like to recommend this place for birthday parties. Super easy to deal with and very professional. Once we arrived Ciaran took care of us and he was super nice, then Jess and Connor brought our kids for climbing. Jess was truly amazing, she was encouraging those who were not that confident, making it fun and all, giving all of them super experience. Connor, good luck with your audition! You're paying for groups of 6 children, the first six for an hour is 90 and each additional 6 is 60. You can also book a party room for 45 min. You need to order your own food. They recommend and we used and were happy with the nearby Firehouse Pizza. We liked it a lot, and my children planning to come back there soon!

My wife, daughter (8) and son (6) thoroughly enjoyed our taster session at the walls. We spent 6 hours climbing. It was the highlight of our year. It's a huge pity there isn't one of these in the west. The kids climbed to the top of multiple walls. Our instructor Alice gave us a great session on how to climb on our own. All the staff were lovely. We brought some food with us and we're delighted we could eat it there. It's a lovely relaxed environment. We were there on a Monday which wasn't a bank holiday.

This place is great for a rainy day/night but also place to hang out and challenge your friends. The bouldering walls are great and handy to get started with rock climbing. Staff are very chill and they update the walls regularly with different climbing routes. Highly recommend for all the family.

Great staff. Very passionate and knowledgable and seem genuinely delighted to see new people learning to climb. Great confidence builder for young folk. I had planned to just learn how to belay my daughter but found myself at the top of a wall in no time. The only thing that irked me was how expensive it was but they offer plenty of options like membership rates and discounted access during off peak hours. If there were 6 stars available, they'd have earned it.

Great climbing hall. Many options for all level of climbers. I took a four weeks course and it was great. The instructors were super nice, knowledgeable and fun. With the right amount of time I learned new techniques and knowledge. Besides two floors of bouldering and big climbing walls, they also have a cafe style area and a small outdoor shop. Overall a great place to go climbing and relaxing afterwards.

I've come here with my two nieces many times so they could take part in the School of Rock kids climbing sessions. They love it. The instructors are very patient and helpful with the children. It's easy to book online. Lovely coffee for the adults while you're waiting around. Just be aware it can get a little chilly so wear layers.

Excellent facility. Very family and beginner friendly. There are a wide variety of routes (roped and boulder) with climbs updated regularly to keep the most keen climber occupied. I've never had a dull day here, full of great energy!

Really excellent climbing centre located near Charlestown Shopping centre. Staff are incredible, genuinely enthusiastic about helping people and always ready to answer questions. They offer one-to-one tutoring for beginners, so whether you're an experienced climber, or just starting out, it's a great place to go. 3 floors of climbing, ground floor is for rope & belay, while the upper two have bouldering courses and training rooms. There's a cafe, Firestone Pizza on order, and a large area to just relax in while you wait.

I'd recommend booking before you go. We were very lucky to get a private climbing lesson at the last minute over the weekend. Reception staff were really helpful fitting us in. We had an excellent instructor, think his name was Dave. Very enthusiastic about it and made myself and the kids feel really safe despite one of the kids having a fear of heights. We'll definitely be back!

Love this place, it's become my second home! Awesome walls has loads of climbing for all ages and abilities, on both roped walls and boulders (which are reset really regularly). I'm still trying to try find time to climb it all! Would definitely recommend coming out for a visit, whether you're a complete beginner or have years of experience, it's the place to go climbing!

I really enjoy this place. Great for a team building with friends, corporate event. If you want to come because you love climbing this is also the place for you, climbing routes change so you will never get board. If you want to get some instructions crew is also available. If you had never climbed ask for a taster session you will not be disappointed. And finally children, great place to bust their confidence but if you are not sure if they will like it or not organise a birthday party, it gives them some taste of adventure among their pals you never know they may just fall in love with it and join one of the youth groups. One way or the other satisfaction guaranteed.

I went in the mornings so it was lovely to virtually have the gym to myself. Just make sure to tell them you are only bouldering if that's the case. I didn't realise I got charged to use the whole gym until I got home after. Staff are lovely though.

Awesome walls literally is Awesome. The staff are friendly and helpful, the toilets are spotless and spacious for changing and the coffee is good and strong. Being someone who only took to this recently I love nothing more than to sit back and relax in a very chilled seating area and watch other more experienced climbers do their thing after my climbing is done. Right off the M50 it's handy for everyone! My only complaint is that I can't be there every day! Great job to all at awesome walls.

We just had our 8 year olds birthday party there. The staff were great with the kids; they catered for all levels of ability without making them feel inadequate if they were scared or no good at climbing. Not a money grabbing venue either like some for children's birthday parties. All the kids had a great time and left in high spirits. All in all highly recommend this place.

A friendly place with two floors of bouldering and several wall climbing routes, equipment/shoes rental, gear shop and a cafe. Great staff, walls are updated every few weeks, come for couple hours or enjoy the whole day there. The only thing it lacks in my opinion is a dedicated kids climbing zone (although it has a play area for under 5 year olds), so kids climb together with adults.

We climb here very often and it is always a great experience. The focus from the team is great, random coaching interactions and overall approach. My Son attends NICAS and loves it, at 8yrs old he is focused on the challenge of achieving the levels and improving his technique which is the best outcome we could ask. This years NICAS summer camp was excellent and he came home exhausted and excited every day.

One of the warmer climbing gyms which means a lot to me!! Good routes, it's a bit of a hassle to get to if you dont drive but it's a great wall. Good coffee too!

Only bouldered. Nice variety of slabs and overhangs / caves. Good problems (especially the black set while I was there) though some colours (yeah, you Pink) are very limited in the hold variety and look for the same skill set over and over. Registration process is torturous, with the touch pads extremely unresponsive and slow. Most of the hire shoes are so chunky they're more like trainers, barely a climbing shoe. The worse I've seen anywhere. They need to be chucked. Had some decent ones but in limited sizes. Good enough but could do better.

AW is a great place to work on your training. They offer bouldering zone, top rope, automatic belay, lead climb and definitely the best gym room I've seen in Dublin. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I like the atmosphere in the center - so easygoing. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience. My daughter (8) asked could we go here as she had done something similar but smaller on a school trip. I ended up being roped in also and the cost was €45 for the 2 of us. For this we had a personal guide/tutor for about an hour. Stephen went through all the basics with us and within minutes we were climbing walls. Very helpful and insightful about the activity and had us at ease climbing. He showed us the bouldering afterwards and gave us a brief tour of the facilities before we left. We will definitely be back soon. Wasnt sure what to expect but we really enjoyed the time. All the staff seemed so into the job/activity that Im sure all people get a similar experience. 5 Stars.

I was introduced to Awesome walls by my sister when she suggested we do something a bit different. I was immediately hooked! Everything about the place keeps me coming back for more. There is a huge variety of climbing to get involved with from top roping, lead climbing and bouldering. And routes that suit all levels of skill. The staff are another reason why this is such an amazing venue, they are all extremely friendly and helpful. Go along and give it a try, you won't regret it!!

My daughter started climbing in the kids club and now has just started the NICAS. The staff have been v.helpful, and answered all of our questions. They are great with my daughter which was most important for me. Plenty of walls to climb and groups kept small allowing them all time to get instruction and plenty of time actually on the wall. Equipment hire was great, as is the little shop. So helpful. Tea, coffee, coke, cakes, toasties and fruit etc available from reception, plus a water fountain. Plenty of seating for the parents to wait and watch, high chairs available for the littlies and even sockets to charge your phone/laptop/Kindle. Plus a bookshelf full of books if you fancy a read while you wait. Huge place and my daughter loves it. Plenty of parking and it's free to park.

The best place around Dublin for indoor climbing. "The Wall" in Sandyford is also quite good for bouldering, but this place offers more options, not just bouldering, is very big and well kept. I highly recomend it.

Been to a few climbing walls round Dublin, if you live North Side this is the best place to go. Decent variety and friendly staff. Prices are ok apart from an irritating one time €8 member fee? But after that, the monthly membership is fairly decent value.

A really good setup and friendly, helpful staff. However, the bouldering crash pads are way too hard and should be replaced. I've climbed in gyms all over the world and these are not consistent with the standard.

This is the biggest climbing facility in ireland.It has walls with lots of rutes to enjoy, great bouldering area and training room. It is a pitty it is so far away from city center.Even if you take a bus, you have to walk for 20 minutes. Lots of parking space if you are driving.

For indoor rock climbing in Dublin this is the best place to go. At the time of writing this it has the highest indoor walls in Ireland. It has top/bottom rope walls and some have self belays so if you want to go out yourself you can give it a try. They also have 2 floors of bouldering if that's more what you're into and a training room as well. They have a basic cafe and a shop on site to buy all the gear you could want/need but for people new to climbing you can rent all the gear needed. The staff are friendly and helpful and full of knowledge. The only one slight downfall I have found is there is no showers on site which would be a nice bonus but most climbing walls in Ireland don't have them. But all round would highly recommend it to anyone new or experienced in climbing.

The climbing section of the party was excellent. The staff were very helpful and kind to the 8 years olds there. However be warned - the 'party room' is literally that - a ROOM - we had forgotten to bring cups for drinks and these could not be provided. I even offered to buy the cardboard coffee cups they had but that wasn't possible. The absolute insult to injury was being made to BUY a lighter to light the birthday candles! Paid for 12 children to climb and hire the party room and we were made to buy a lighter? It was extremely poor and left a really bad taste in our mouths I'm afraid.

Gym has top rope and lead climbing on the ground floor. Also several self-belay stations which is a also good training for doing a lot of reps. The upper two floors have bouldering areas, with the top area featuring large elements. There also is a training room with weights and campus boards and so on. Gear and clothing in a well sorted shop. Coffee and snacks are available at the reception and staff is friendly. 4 out of 5 stars as changing rooms / showers are missing and cannot compare to some of the modern facilities across Europe. Still the place to go when in Dublin!
