I joined Shape Up for their 6 week challenge as I was sick of clothes not fitting, and not liking how I looked in photos as I was carrying extra weight and battling to get consistent energy levels following burnout. Before I joined, it had been 3 years since I’d been in the gym and I never thought I would be skipping into the workouts but the combination of the coaches expertise and sense of community makes you feel pushed to succeed and very taken care of while you get there! After 6 weeks my energy levels are increasing and I’m already fitting into clothes that were relegated to the back of the wardrobe. Just signed up for another 6 months and looking forward to changing my body shape and my relationship with food. Can’t say enough good things 🏆🏆 Thanks guys!

I was 4 and a half months postpartum when I felt I was ready to try get my fitness levels back so decided to join the programme.
My experience right through was very positive, the online classes were extremely handy and enjoyable once I got stuck in, the coaches were very encouraging and the members were really friendly.
The feedback from my coach Jake was fantastic and I have picked up some great healthy habits plus my fitness levels have increased dramatically. I'm now looking forward to heading back into the gym.

Two years ago this week I found myself overweight, lethargic and stiff, when I saw an ad for ShapeUp. I was very anxious about going to a gym as I was never a gym person, or someone who works out, but Leigh was so approachable and reassuring on the phone that off I went! Slowly, Leigh and Jake and the other ShapeUp professionals helped me build confidence and before long I felt my flexibility return and I began to tone up and lose weight. They were endlessly patient too as I got used to the equipment and the routines. I began to get to know the other ladies too, and began to really enjoy the sessions and how energised I felt after them. Now the gym is an important part of my week. I would encourage anyone who is considering joining up to do so - whatever shape you are in or age you are - and I am older than the average by quite a few years - this is a step that you will nor regret and one which will open a whole world of new possibilities.

Just over 2 years ago I weighed my heaviest ever at over 118kg and rising. I had always struggled with my weight and tried ever fad diet you can name from the cabbage diet, LighterLife, Weight watchers, Slimming World in the past with varying success. The latest thing I tried was joining a couch to 5k programme at work. Unfortunately, I got injured and was unable to do much afterwards. I had to have a knee operation and the consultant predicted I would need two complete knee replacements within a few years. Long story short, I could see a very dire old age which was frightening particularly as I was seeing my elderly parent becoming more frail. I joined a famous gym in Dublin and turned up. I felt embarrassed, uncomfortable and very unwelcome and the atmosphere was judgemental. I needed something different rather than just gym equipment. I saw Leigh's programme and booked a call. I took the call at work and it was very eye-opening as Leigh asked some deep questions and got me thinking. The programme is more holistic than anything I has seen before, focusing on building habits, self care and mindset.
Joining the program in October 2019, I thought I would just last the 6 weeks. My first night I remember very well. Leigh and Jake gently took me through the exercises, talked through the portion system, defining my goal and reason. The group of ladies were very welcoming and there were laughs and jokes at every workout. As the weeks went on, I looked forward to my workouts and even to either Jake or Leigh pushing me to increase the weights. COVID-19 hit and everything moved online.
Leigh and Jake pivoted and created what I can only say is a phenomenal programme with a community of fabulous women who are so supportive of one another, coaches who care and who will tell you what you need to hear to reach your goals. Megan's mindfulness sessions are a great destressor and there are always challenges to focus on habits.
I can say that the past 2 years on the programme has been the best decision I have made for both my physical and mental health. I am fitter, healthy and 38kg lighter thanks to my supportive coach Jake as well as Leigh and Megan. The ShapeUp team and community is very special and inclusive for all women from any age and would recommend it.

Before joining Shape Up I was really down in myself, I hated looking in the mirror, always hid in baggy clothes and hated the fact I couldn't play with my 3 year old little girl without being out of breath . i made the conscious decision to enquire about this programme and its the best decision I have ever made . From my first call with Hayley who is the most genuine person to talk to and understanding to starting the live online work outs. I will never look back now. I feel so much better in the weeks I have been with Shape Up than I have in years and that is down to Hayley, Leigh and all the trainers who are amazing. if you want to get your confidence back I cannot recommend Shape Up enough

Prior to joining, I was really struggling to maintain even the basic runs/ cycles, walks. Having a busy household with young children and a full time job, healthy eating was down the list. I was so frustrated as I was totally committed to improving my overall health but I was not getting results and couldn't find a gym that offered the support I required. My back was in ribbons, I was struggling to stand up straight and I was nervous about trusting a new team in case I ended up with injuries.
Nearly 5 months in and I am like a giddy child going to class, no problems with my back, core muscles feeling stronger than ever, new energy levels and getting closer to my targets each week. I have to check myself when I lift weights I cannot believe I am able to do now.
The Shape Up Team are absolutely fantastic. A special mention to my coach Jake Wrafter who is so impressive. Aside from his knowledge in keeping fit, he has kept me continuously motivated and I have learnt so much already. During a stint on crutches, Jake ensured I didn't have to miss any sessions and gave me specific exercises to do that didn't involve my injured foot.
The exercise programme is excellent but it is the additional food plans with continuous guidance and a private support group that has made the difference for me.
I am so delighted to have found this gym. Needless to say, joining Shape Up has been the best decision I have made in a long time.

I joined shape up when my baby was 6 months old. I originally joined for the 6 week plan. I was so nervous!! Quickly that changed. After a week i knew it was the best decision I ever made. I am still with them today. In 8 weeks I have changed so much daily and feel like a new person. All the staff are amazing. Leigh is my coach and he is amazing at what he does. Hayley has been so supportive too and she was my initial phone call when joining and is always there for a chat. Megan and jake are also amazing and look forward to their classes!!
I've lost 12lbs so far and I've learned so much about myself. I feel so proud of myself and I've more confidence have more energy and believe it or not I now love mondays!!!
The shapeup Community is full of rockstar mams who pretty much feel the same as me!!

I joined Shape Up as I wanted to lose weight and get fit after Covid lock down.
Hayley really takes the time to explain the programme and puts you at your ease....especially if you are coming back to exercise and gym work.
The team are very supportive and the programme is so "do-able". I was afraid that my fitness level would hinder my progress but it is unbelievable how quickly you get into the zone and yes believe it or not look forward to your weekly work outs. The Shape Up team are not only interested in fitness and weight loss, but it is a complete package as they take the time to understand your life stresses and encourage you to make changes to your life to help relieve the stress of every day life. I love being a member of Shape Up and I plan on remaining a member because I feel good about myself.

I joined the Shape Up 6 week programme and am still here almost a year later & almost 2 stone lighter!!
I thought it would be another 6 week programme and I’d be off again back to square one but it’s totally different to any other gym or fitness/diet clubs out there. The one to one coaching is great & I know if I try and slack off Jake will be on my back! I love that nothing is off limits, it’s all about moderation & balance & trying to make it fit into everyday life. It does all this and more, which is what makes it so unique. The workouts are great & I feel great after every one. Meg always has great chats too which helps me get through the planks! Couldn’t recommend Shape Up more!

Before joining Shapeup, I was at a stage where I felt "I have to do something". I felt unfit, unhealthy, was the heaviest I'd ever been and couldn't bear the sight of my reflection in the mirror.
I was extremely nervous about signing up initially, as I felt my lack of fitness would be very obvious, and the prospect of being observed on a live workout seemed very daunting. But I couldn't have been more wrong! From the very beginning, I felt completely supported by any of the coaches I was in contact with. Having been through a life-changing couple of years, (I lost my dad unexpectedly on the same day my youngest daughter was born), I was very unsure as to whether I was in the right headspace for this programme. Jake was so reassuring and motivating and I knew straight away that I had made a great decision.
Six months later, I can honestly say I am a new woman. To me, Shapeup isn't just about exercising and weightloss, it has changed my whole lifestyle in a practical way; developing daily habits that seem so simple yet achievable, but make such a difference to my overall mood and mentality each day.
Before I started with Shapeup, weightloss was my sole aim, now it's an added bonus to the new lifestyle I have adapted. I am at the fittest and happiest I have been in a very long time, I am very comfortable in my own skin and I owe it all to Jake, Leigh, Meg and Alisha.

Before starting The 6 Week Shape Up I was stuck in a rut.....constantly trying silly diets and not really losing weight and then just giving up. I contacted Leigh and Hayley and haven't looked back since, they have helped me get on the right track both physically and mentally, they are always on the other end of the phone whether it's just a quick question or you need advice, they are there to help everytime. The online workouts are fantastic and all the coaches are great....they give you great encouragement and they get you through the workout if you are struggling. I would definitely recommend 6 week Shape Up to everyone.

I started shape up to do 6 weeks I'm now committed to doing at least 6 months. I knew shortly into the 6 weeks that 6 months could change my life. The first few weeks were a rollercoaster of emotions but therapeutic in hindsight. I struggled with my lack of fitness and faced exactly how much I hated my own body that grew 2 of the most beautiful healthy babies in under 2 years. I would never have let anyone speak to me in the horrible way I spoke to myself. I realised I had lost myself since becoming a mum and I had alot of work to do. My priorities are my babies now but how can you look after them properly if your not looking after yourself. Hayley helped me realise everything was within my control to change and change I did. Under Leighs guidance I am healthier happier and fitter then I have ever been since being a mum. I walk more with the kids despite it being winter. I have more energy for them and model good eating habits and habitually practice self love. Shape Up isn't a fad diet its healthy happy lifestyle choices. Thank you leigh hayley and team. Before I started Shape Up I had no confidence what so ever. Was at my heaviest at that time, had no energy for excerises and sleeping/eating habits were brutal and as for snacking we won't go there 🙈. I NEEDED A KICK UP THE BACKSIDE.
I seen Shape Up on Facebook and contacted Leigh, my first reaction was holy god how am I going to do this. I felt it very overwhelmed afraid and the fear of the unknown. My first online workout I was a nervous wreck, never done zoom before it took me a while to figure that out 🤣 never mind the excerises. I was all over the place hadn't a clue what I was doing. Since then it has been an amazing journey, the best decision I have made. The help I get off the coaches especially Jake is unreal the encouragement, patience the time and effort they put into all of us is great.
I'm nearly 8 months in and loving it 😍I have more confidence, getting into great shape, have lost weight and toned up. I'm getting better at the workouts hopefully. Fitting into clothes a size or two down. I feel amazing, happy, healthy and delighted with myself. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this program and when you join you'll never look back.

I was looking to lose some weigh and get into a healthy routine after good 2 years of not exercising and not taking care of what I was eating.
I saw great results on my body and mid set after my 6 weeks program.
I was thrilled when an old pair of pants that I was scared of trying on fitted like a glove again!

Joined Shapeup May 2021.. Best decision ever, never hear the word diet / tracking points or Syns.. tried them all in the past! SHAPEUP have thought me how to make better healthy choices with food for me & my family so it's a win win. Exercise classes are great so convenient to be able to work out from home :) always good music and funny stories to be told while working out. All coaches are so approachable, honest & friendly. My personal coach Jake is always willing to help with advice when needed and very supportive.

This is a really great programme. I have tried others but always gave up. I work full time and have 3 kids so finding the time to do anything else was impossible but this programme really works for me. The online classes are great. I couldn’t incorporate extra time getting to and from the gym. Great times. Early morning and evening depending on what my day brings. The food guidelines are really a big thing for me. I found it really easy to follow. You don’t need fancy new recipes or to be starving all day. It’s simple, healthy portion guidelines that work for me and my family. I always thought I knew about healthy eating but I have learned so much from this programme. Also what I really like are the good habits, getting to bed early, doing something nice for yourself. Also great tips for mindfulness etc. The trainers are super! All so nice, great fun and always want the best for you. Jake seems to be a mind reader and always sends a motivational text just when you need it! My clothes fit better, I’m happier picking clothes to wear and I have more energy to run around after 3 children. Would highly recommend.

I started the Shape Up programme in February 2021 and I'm so glad I did! It gave me the extra push and accountability I needed to really start seeing results. But, the programme isn't just about the physical results. What makes it different is the focus on habits and mindset. There aren't any crazy rules or counting points, which is liberating. Instead, there's a focus on the goals we want to achieve and the choices we make along the way towards those goals. This, I believe, is a far more sustainable and long term way to achieving and maintaining those goals than a lot of the fad weight loss groups.
The workouts are fun too. Doing the online programme has been so easy. A few minutes and I'm all set up and ready to go for a workout. I never thought I'd be working up a sweat in my living room! The coaches are lovely, there is great support and Leigh's pearls of wisdom really resonate. There is a sense of community amongst the women. Everyone is so encouraging and cheering each other on.
I'm so glad to have joined and would recommend it to anyone else to at least give it a try. Thanks to all the coaches and my fellow Shape Uppers!

I wanted to do something about my weight and fitness as lock-down was turning me into a total couch potato! I love food so didn't want a crazy strict regime that was impossible to follow. When I started with Shape Up Leigh was quick to reassure me and explained fully how the program would work. The nutrition side of it was well laid out and easy to follow, it's all about getting the right balance of food, I'm still enjoying my meals but I'm really eating well, it helps seeing what others are eating too. I was nervous about the gym, I'd never picked up a weight before. Jake and Meg were very patient and quick to reassure me ( I genuinely hadn't a clue!) Now 6 months in I'm feeling way better about myself I've definitely toned up and feel stronger and fitter. It's a lovely positive environment and everyone encourages each other. I wholeheartedly recommend Leigh and Shape Up.

Joining shape up has been the best decision I have made in years and I only joined 9 weeks ago!! The coaches and all the ladies are so welcoming and inclusive.
The plan is suitable for all lifestyles and is made so that it slots into your life. I have seen big results without making any drastic changes.
The workouts are spaced out well so that if you want to workout out early or late in the day there are plenty of options! All capabilities are catered for and the coaches talk through every exercise which makes it so much easier. Also have good tunes playing ☺️
There is no strict diet it’s all about making good choices and the coaches empower you with the knowledge of how to do that.
I genuinely couldn’t recommend it enough. After my initial 6 weeks were up I was 100% sure I wanted to stay on the plan long term.
All the ladies are lovely and it’s a fun community to be a part of.

I joined shape up during lock down when I found out I was pregnant. It might seem counterintuitive to join a weight loss programme when you're pregnant but I made it clear from the beginning I was looking to be healthy and remain active rather than lose weight and the community really helped me to do that. The online classes were easy to attend and fit into my life, I loved that they varied week to week with different focus and I was given alternatives to suit my growing bump! Being part of the community really helped me stay accountable, keep fit and healthy and feel really good in my pregnancy from weeks 10-28! I felt like it kept me mindful to fuel my body well and to keep moving which has also meant I've had a really good pregnancy to date! I'm stopping now only at week 28 as it is getting a bit too difficult for me but would happily join again once baby is here to help me get back on track. I'd recommend this program to anyone who works better in a group, I'm not very self motivated so group chats and FB page helped me along the way and all the coaches are really lovely!

I hadn't been in a gym in 10 years and getting back to working out 3 times a week was daunting. Now 18 months on, working out 3 times a week is part of my week and part of my life. It's no longer a hardship to make the workouts, it's a hardship to miss them. Leigh, Jake and the team are amazing. They care, they are brilliant at what they do and they don't let you off the hook! Before joining Shape up, I embraced the my size ( my heaviest)and the way I look. For the reason that I got fed up trying to lose weight. Then covid happened, we are one of the first nursing home hit by covid and I got it. Thank God its only mild but after recovering from it. I've noticed that I keep having chest pains and breathless sometimes. I didn't even realise that I'm very unfit and heavy. ( Let's say I'm on denial). Then my husband said he's worried about me because he never saw me as big as a house( my word, he said it nicer than that) Then they are doing challenge at work, to lose weight every week. But that didn't interest me because they where counting calories and I just love my food to do that.
Then I saw Leigh's Shape up, I was just drawn to it. So decided to sign up and originally my plan is only to stick for 6 weeks. For the reasons that I feared that I'll be judged, won't be able to commit, and I'll be a failure. Like to be honest having kids and losing the baby fats that you've gained is just hard to get rid off (that was my thinking before) I hate workouts before as they are so hard to do 🥵🥵 and the thought of counting calories is just too much. 😬😬
Then I started the Shape up, I remember I was dreading my First live, thinking that everyone knows what to do and I'm like I'll be the eejeet there. But I was wrong. And you've think they'll tell you what to eat and what not. And they don't. We are given a portion guide. And eat whatever you like just don't take the piss.😊😊
My first 6 weeks was amazing with the right guidance, encouragement, know that the people helping you was genuine and always reminding that you are worth it, I know I was on the right track. I hated workouts and now I can't live without them.
Got my first Tshirt for being a 3 month member but its not stopping there. Looking forward for more.
I have more energy, learned a good habit, focus ,'consistency and determination and commitment' are 3 main ingredients for me. I know that I'm making progress because I feel good about myself, my confidence is boost up, I love the way clothes fit on me, I'm fitter and happier And most of all I feel beautiful inside out. I don't worry anymore if a little cake or chocolate comes my way. Because I know with the habits, consistency and determination I have I won't gain it over night.
I love being active now, love doing live workout that fits my schedule and my relationship with food is much better.
I love for the fact that I am part of a community that helps each other.
The support and guidance are amazing. I enjoyed every bit of being in this community.
By the way I started 87.8 kg and now I'm down 73.4 kg 😘😘😘( 4 months now)

I have been working with Leigh and the team since Sept 2020. When I came to Leigh I was looking to add more structure and consistency to my training and lose weight and really focus on toning up. I spoke with Leigh and Jake about what my goals were, what I wanted to focus on and what areas I really struggled with and we worked to address them from the beginning.
We have worked in and out of different levels of Covid Restrictions and the team have really worked to ensure we are still working towards our goals whether that be together in the gym or at home!
If you are looking for a team of people who are invested in your end results and support you being accountable and educated on your decisions and the results, I would highly recommend Leigh, Jake and Meg.

I started with Leigh and Jake in August of last year, it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I had just gone back to work after maternity leave and really wanted to get back in shape. But not only did I want to get back in shape, I wanted to get back to myself. I was so focused on my new daughter that I lost a little of me. I had lost confidence and was hiding behind baggy clothes as I had put on weight from the pregnancy and the one to many mummy coffee and cake mornings. Leigh was so welcoming from the beginning, it was a lovely friendly community of like minded women. The training is really empowering, you feel amazing after a session. You have the confidence to eat healthier, be more accountable for your food but still enjoying some of the treats now and again. Leigh's motivational videos, and thoughts of the day were always a welcome watch to keep me on track. Before joining Leighs 6 week shape up plan I tried and tested most slimming products or forums and failed at all. I had lost my confidence as well as my figure after having kids, I was in a cycle everyday saying tomorrow I'll start this diet or tomorrow I'll do couch to 5km or some sort of new slimming plan but in fact tomorrow never came I was stuck in a rut.
I found leighs 6 week shape up plan by chance on Facebook and debated will I or won't I, so I finally made that initial application and waited nervously to see if I suited the program and I did. I was somewhat nervous, nervous more so I would not stick to plan but I did and it has changed my life in more ways than one. It's not just about weight loss or diet or exercise it's the overall picture and Leigh proitaits it so well in his guides and Inspirational videos, I feel I have got so much more than weight loss from this I have learned to appreciated myself think about me cherish me and this is why I have stayed on after my 6 weeks ended. I really miss my workouts if I can't attend for some reason during the week, the plan focuses on healthy eating and wise food choices and the advice I have received has unconsciously changed my eating habits over the past few weeks.
I can not recommend Leigh and his great team enough it is a lovely group great support great communication and very reliable in the delivery of there plan. The only thing I can say is I wish I found this group sooner and started my journey sooner as mentally and physically this has changed me for the better .

My Shape Up Journey so far ……………………………….
Before I contacted Leigh at the end of Jan 2020 – I really had hit rock bottom – I had zero confidence, and zero self-belief, which I hid so well - I was great at pretending to be the ‘happy person’ - but that was so far from the truth.
I had previously joined other gyms, but had left as quickly as I had joined. I never felt included; I felt like an outsider, I felt uncomfortable; I felt that I didn’t fit in.
I wanted somewhere that I felt part of, somewhere that understood how I was feeling, that had like-minded people in similar situations to myself, somewhere that had a plan that was achievable and attainable, that I could still enjoy life.
– Then I came across an ad for ‘Shape Up’, little did I know what was to happen next …….
Now just over one year later I feel like a ‘new woman’ – more confident, fitter and slimmer (I’ve actually gone from having to ‘pour’ myself into a size 16, to fitting comfortably into a size 10), and now I really feel like I am that happy person I was pretending to be for so long.
I really was at the stage where doing anything was a struggle, so I didn’t bother. Now I’m delighted that I’ve so much more energy and get up and go – in fact I’ve even taken up running, and have completed a few 10km charity runs.
My relationship with food is also much better – shopping lists and meal planning were alien to me prior to ‘Shape Up’ and now they are a great and very important part of my life.
I can honestly say that joining ‘Shape Up’ has been one of the best decisions I have ever made, the information and help that I have received from Leigh, Jake & Megan on everything, from exercise, nutrition, food plans etc., has been invaluable. I have also received the odd kick in the a** I have needed to get me back on track, all of which has really inspired me to keep going, and to realise what I can actually accomplish with help.
As for the wonderful ‘Shape Up Community’ – what can I say – from day one I have felt part of ‘the family’, felt included, felt ‘at home’ – Ladies (and Gents) you really are a truly wonderful, and inspiring bunch of people, who I am very proud to be a part of.

Where do I start. ☺️💕
So I have been in Shape Up since January 7th 2021. Since starting I have lost 3 stone. Absolutely unbelievable. I've done a lot of programmes in the past, A LOT, and nothing comes even close to this. This programme is so effortless it's quite amazing how it has been put together.
I am 38 a single mum and have 2 kids who are in their teens now. Since having them I have yoyo'd up and down with my weight. NEVER EVER being happy with myself. I always strived to be happy with it but just could never be. Until January this year my life changed thanks to these guys. My kids are fit and sporty and I was there on the sidelines 16 stone 8lb. YES. That was my weight. I felt like a failure. Always trying things and it never working. I thought to myself in january "this is my last chance" I haven't got the will to do this again. Then I found Shape Up. Life changing for me personally.
The absolute fear I had when starting was to let my kids and myself down again. However when I look back it was me I had to change and my mindset. I wanted to be that role model for them that I always thought of. They deserved it and they are so supportive.
I had also lost my confidence in a big way. I never thought I'd get it back but with Shape Up I did. The guys are also about self care which I never even heard of till January. I do this ALOT now. I realised I had to look after me before I looked after anyone else. Never a truer word spoken.
This is not just about a diet and exercise. It is about maintaining a sustainable lifestyle which touches every part of your life. I know I may sound dramatic but this is what this programme has done for me. Every part of my life is changing and it's amazing. The best thing I've ever done so thank you Leigh. Before starting shape up I was at an all time low and if I am completely honest with myself I had been like that for 10yrs or more. I was always putting on a “fake” brave face, outwardly bubbly and appeared very happy and content, as if I had no worries in the world but inwardly I was struggling. I had very low self esteem, no respect for myself or my body, living every day with bad habits and in a continuous cycle of emotional eating and drinking. Life was and is still hard. I am a full time working single Mum to a 4yr old with no family support (as my family all live over 200kms away). Work is busy and high pressure and my life is a constant juggling act. Trying to be the best Mum, employee, daughter, friend, sister…… Add a global pandemic to this and I was at breaking point!
I knew coming into the second lock down that I had to change something as life could not go on the way it had. Things were really starting to creek. I knew I was not being the best version of myself and I absolutely needed to change this for myself and my daughter. So in October 2020 I saw an add on Facebook for Shape Up. I was very intrigued by the program and following my intro call with Kimberly I just had a great feeling about it and knew this was the start of a new way of living for me.
I am not going to lie…..I was really scared and anxious about joining. What if I could not keep up with the pace of the workout? What if I could not find the time to commit to 3 live workouts a week? Would people judge me on my daily posts of food? What if I failed?
Within a few weeks of joining I was hooked and in love with the program and Shape Up community. The coaches and all shape up members are simply put - amazing! I don’t think they will ever truly realise how much of an impact they have on our lives. I am so grateful for how they have helped turn my life around. They saved me!
I spent years jumping from Weigh Watchers to Slimming World. I usually managed to loose approx 1 stone but would fall off the wagon and re-gain that stone and more. I would then be so frustrated with myself and throw the towel in and kick start my comfort eating and drinking again. It was a vicious cycle and I did not know how to stop it. What’s different about Shape Up is the daily habits that have now become part of my every day life. The focus is not just on the weighing scales. We do weigh ourselves and keep track of this but we also measure our results in so many other areas - fitness, mental mood/ feeling, sleep routine, water intake, your R&R time (my favourite!) etc…. it’s the whole package and this is what makes the difference and why it works. It’s not a quick fix. It’s a game changer and is long term.
Since joining shape up I have lost weigh and a lot of inches. I am no longer bloated. I am fitter than I have every been and love the live workouts - even the 7am lives!! I love cooking and eating and have learnt so much about food, portions, proteins, good fats etc…. I still have my little chocolate snack and cup of tea every evening. On this program you are not starving your body or completely cutting out certain foods. It’s all about managing portions and kcals. I am also feeling very strong mentally. The head fog has lifted. I feel energised, focused, committed, better able to manage a busy life, more focused at work, more patience with my daughter and really enjoying our time together.
I cannot recommend this program enough. I have been raving about it to my family, friends and work colleagues. They have all asked me what I am doing as I look and feel the best I have in a very long time. Don’t hesitate girls……give the 6 week trial a go and see the results for yourself.

I joined Shape Up at the beginning of August 2020 on a recommendation from a good friend. I have always struggled with my weight since my early teens and never liked or been confident exercising. I joined so many gyms and hid in the back of big classes before eventually leaving and never going back.
Before joining I was feeling really stressed and was fed up of never sticking to anything. I have struggled with a low mood for a long time and my sleep was really poor. I was fed up of the same cycle of quitting and negative thinking.
Before joining I was terrified about being rubbish in the gym, scared to start something and quit again. I was always making excuses to stop doing something.
My first few days in the gym were great, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. People say that all the time but it's true, everyone made it their business to say hello. I couldn't believe how quick the workoutsflew by! There's a lovely atmosphere and everyone's chatting when they can and the trainers make a real effort to talk to everyone individually. The workouts have small numbers so any modifications or extra time needed feels like no hassle to the trainers. The different personalities of all the trainers is great too!
At shape up, we focus on consistent habits and sustainable changes. I always thought I ate well but I've learned so much about what foods suit me and fills me up. I have consistently worked out 3 days a week, sometimes 4 and definitely miss it when i don't go. Exercising isn't a chore anymore.
There's no tricks or fads or denying yourself anything- good food, correct portions and when needed some hard talking to! Some days are tough to be motivated but it's become habit now so you just show up and never regret it. My sleep has never been better and although not perfect, regular exercise has really helped me manage my stress. My mood is better and luckily I can manage low times better.
I feel confident exercising and my fitness and strength have improved so much. Over lockdown it's been such a nice outlet and community as well.
I couldn't imagine not being in Shape Up now, it's given me so much confidence and a great routine to my week!

For the past few years I was struggling with weight gain and had tried all the diets and gyms out there but all were either a short term fix or didn't work for me. In September 2020 I decided I needed to make a permanent change as I was feeling very unhealthy, lacking in confidence and unhappy with myself. I was not only looking for a gym but I was also looking for somewhere there was a support system to help me achieve my goals and make permanent changes.
In the past 3 months since joining Leigh and his team, that thanks to their patience and understanding I have got back my love for exercise but more importantly my relationship with food and the choices I now make have changed for the better without having to restrict myself fully. I must confess I hummed and hawed about joining Shape Up before I finally bit the bullet and did it. I knew I needed to loose weight but I also knew that I was time poor (I'm working fulltime and a mum to two small kids) and so I wanted to be sure that whatever I committed to, would be both fun and yield the results I wanted. I really like Shape Up's approach. It doesn't promise to fixed all your bad habits overnight nor should it. It gets you to look at your existing ways of doing things and slowly change your habits so that you're sleep more, drinking more water, walking more etc. Even in level 5, there are zoom workouts three times a week and walking challenges. You're surrounded by a great bunch of other girls/women, who were in fact 'normal' (aka not unlike me) and were trying to squeeze in exercise and making healthier food choices/creating healthier habits around the other 101 things they do every day. Leigh and Meg are super supportive and positive. I even went in and left the gym happy on 23 December! Now 9 months in, I feel I'm making much more informed and healthier food choices and looking after myself a bit better (more sleep, me time etc.) I'm really glad I joined Shape Up

I have battled with my weight for years trying every diet club, shake and bar on the market. During lockdown more weight piled on. In June, with back to work looming I was feeling fat, frumpy and also heading towards fifty, very depressed with no self confidence, wearing a wardrobe that solely consisted of leggings and tee-shirts, so going outside or joining a gym was not an option as I was too embarrassed. I was fully convinced that this was the rest of my life....and realising that my father died at 58....it could be quiet short. So, I did the usual, googled fast weightloss....again ! Leigh popped up on my Facebook and after reading it I realised it wasn't just losing weight I wanted, but also that feeling of being fit and healthy and good again, something I hadnt felt in years. As I got chatting with Leigh he asked me the questions nobody had asked and told me not what I wanted to hear, but what I needed to hear.
Leigh instantly made me feel that I can do this, so I went for it. He talked me through the program telling me what he expected from me and in turn would provide me with all the tools to reach my long term sustainable goal. My first workout was pure hell !!!! Naturally, I thought, what have I gotten myself into. Both Leigh and Jake reassured me this was normal and encouraged me on.
That was 4 months, 2.5 stone and several inches ago !!!! I have so much energy, and my confidence had soared, I am living my life again and love reaching into my wardrobe without fear every morning. I dont worry about the scales anymore as I don't diet, I eat right with the information given to me by Jake and that combined with my workouts is why my weight is dropping. I have tried everything, this program is the only one that has worked for me in every aspect of my life.....and this all online. You are never alone...there is always help, with anything.
I cannot express how much being part of the Shapeup community has helped me shape an achievable, fit, happy lifestyle. Leigh is honest in his approach and very aware of lifes pitfalls which makes his program work. Jake is always on hand when I need a reassuring word or point me in the right direction....with never ending patience !! The women are all amazing and egg each other on. The only regret I have is that I didn't join sooner 🙂🙂🙂

I have joined the Shape Up group almost a year ago now and I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made when I decided to join.
I came across Leigh's add through Facebook post from a friend of mine. At that stage I have been thinking about signing up to a gym once again and trying another diet (I have struggled with my weight my whole life and did gym and different diets on and off for years).
I was very apprehensive at first as I had a very uncomfortable experience with a PT in the last gym I wanted to join. I always felt out of place at a gym and felt really intimidated and embarrassed with all the slim and fit people around, felt judged all the time. But I was tired of being so overweight, of having no confidence in myself whatsoever and I also developed a few chronic health problems.
I filled out a contact form shortly after seeing the add first and Leigh contacted me very soon after that. After our first phone call I was feeling hopeful that maybe this ,,gym,, would be different.
And man, is it different!!! In the best possible way!! I was so very nervous going in that first evening, no idea what to expect. But straight from the get go Leigh made me feel so comfortable, we had a good old chat about my goals, my health, he gave me loads of advice on nutrition, what to expect, check ins, etc and then brought me in to the workout where the other trainer - Jake - had a group of women/girls working out, I was going to be joining that group. I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to do any of the exercises the others were doing & I was right :-) But Leigh & Jake and the ladies all made me feel so welcome and comfortable, it was a great feeling. And the rest as they say is history.. :-)
Since then, I've been looking forward to every single workout and really started enjoying it.. Absolutely love my workouts now. For probably the first time in my life I feel in control of my food, my exercise and my weight - I managed to loose enough weight to get me nearly halfway to my overall goal!! I feel more confident, I have more energy, am overall happier and my health is improving constantly in a way I didn't dare to dream of only a year ago... Shape Up also kept me sane and active throughout the Covid-19 lock down period - these guys did insane amount of work to keep us all going and I couldn't be more grateful.

Before I started in Shape Up I had no confidence, I didn’t like what I saw in the mirror. I was just hiding away, I had no get up and go in me anymore. After speaking to Leigh on the phone he asked me what did I what to happen how did I feel about myself. He made my feel very at ease so I signed up for the 6 week program.
I was terrified at starting in a new gym. I didn’t know anyone, I didn’t know if the other ladies would like me, I didn’t want to let anyone down least of all myself. Walking through the door to the gym for the first time I was shaking with nerves, that soon stopped as I was welcomed into the gym with a big smile from Leigh and Jake and all the lovely Shape Up ladies.
The workout was tuff as I hadn’t moved parts of my body in a long time it but it felt amazing afterwards I was proud I had done it. The hard part was over my nerves had gone.
My confidence has started to grow my food choices are a hell of a lot better I’ve lost weight my clothes fit better I’ve more energy I’m sleeping better. I like what I see in the mirror now I don’t hide away from going out. I love going to the gym and doing my workouts with all the lovely Shape Up ladies. Before I started training with Leigh and Jake, I was anaemic, had really low energy levels, and generally felt unhealthy. I'd put on a bit of weight and wanted to nip it in the bud. I was allergic to the thought of "going to the gym" because didn't know how to make it a part of my lifestyle. I had the same worries everyone has ie that everything would be too difficult, people would be looking at me, and that I wouldn't be able to keep up. I couldn't have been more wrong!
Jake and Leigh are two of the nicest chaps you will ever meet. They built up my confidence and ability so that within about 2 weeks I was chomping at the bit to try everything they could come up with. They create a really good atmosphere while we're working out, and the other members are so supportive and great craic. It's way more comfortable working out with a group of women than on your own!
I noticed really quickly that my body shape was changing and I started to have way more energy, not to mention that my clothes no longer felt uncomfortable. My iron levels also improved because I am eating so well, and I feel really good about myself. The best thing is that Leigh and Jake keep everything simple, and coached me to make better choices with my food as well as to try my best while working out. It was a total shift in my mindset!
They're always available to chat if you're not sure about something, they keep you accountable in positive way, and they're enthusiastic about celebrating every achievement. I cannot recommend them enough!

I have always struggled with my weight. I have done every weight loss and slimming club. I would lose weight and then put it all back on.
During lockdown I put on my weight and felt so low and unhappy with myself. I knew I had to do something for my mental and physical health.
I am a single Mom to 3 lively boys and work long hours, so it was always easy to make excuses. With everything closed on line seemed to be the way to go.
I seen the ad for shape up on Facebook and decided to message the guys. We chatted and I decided to give it ago.
It scared me as I had never really done proper exercise.

Before I started with Leigh, my body confidence was low and I was stuck in a rut. I used to play quite a high level of sport and trained very hard, I had to take a step back from sport due to injury and I needed a replacement.
My main concerns about starting with Leigh were that I would not stick with it and I wouldn't be held accountable for my training and my eating habits. When I started I felt immediate support and I felt Leigh was totally invested in my health goals. There was a great Facebook group that really helped with accountability.
Since joining, I met a great bunch of girls all on a different fitness journey of their own. I felt Leigh has provided great guidance and enthusiasm in supporting me with my own personal goals. There are plenty of session times to choose from too.

I joined Shape Up in May of this year feeling unhealthy, self conscious, lacking in confidence and had stopped socialising. I have joined several gyms in the last ten years and have been let down by all of them, all of them making false promises and never following though on what they said.
It took me four weeks to build up the courage to make contact with Leigh at Shape up. I really didn't want to join another gym and have people see me give up again. The thoughts of wearing gym clothes made me feel sick and my biggest fear was that I wouldn't be able to do any of the workouts. I thought I would be the one sitting out or at the back of the class the entire time.
I knew the minute I spoke to Leigh on the phone for the first time this gym was going to be unique. He had such an understanding and an empathy for where I was at. I was in a place where I felt nothing else would work but he reassured me and put me at ease.

The encouragement he gives is constant. The work ethic and passion for helping members that both Leigh and Jake have is like nothing I've seen before.
I used to exercise because I had to, now I exercise because I want to. It took me four weeks to contact Leigh, don't wait as long as I did. Do it today, you will not regret it.

I joined Shapeups Online Programme in October 2020, after years of yoyo dieting and trying everything to get into shape.
With another lockdown looming, I dreaded the prospect of reduced exercise, potential eating out of boredom - so I knew I had to do something about it before I started into a cycle of constant battle with not only my weight, but my willpower as well.
I have always carried that stubborn stone and a half - and dreaded heading into another 'fad' whereby, I was starving all the time, and hated the prospect of every meal....and worst of all, not see the results I wanted!
I need not have worried!! Once you join Shapeup - you are given a personal coach who will monitor your food intake, and will be able to advise what you are doing wrong. And guess what?? If you do everything right - you are allowed treat yourself with that glass (or 2!) of wine, or the sweets, crisps you crave! You deprive yourself of nothing and I have never felt hungry! The online classes are fantastic - they change every week, so that maintains my interest - and the coaches are extremely encouraging! The adrenalin rush you feel after these workouts - you couldn't pay for - its wonderful!! Great thing is too - I do all of this from the comfort of my home - only 40 mins of your time needed in a day ( and not every day either!).
Since October, I have shifted that stubborn stone ( and more ) and it has stayed off. Not only that - I have completely toned up - and I feel that more than the weight loss! My mood is much lighter, and I feel much better and ready to be able to take on the world on any day. The change is not just physical, but emotionally as well - I know I am easier to be around :-)
If someone had said to me 6 months ago, this was the plan that was going to help me reach my goals, I wouldn't have believed them. Sure I had tried them all!?!?! This is different - I have learned more about food intake in the last 6 months than I ever knew - and I love the workout classes!

If you are looking to improve your health and well being, this is the place to come. I started with Leigh 6 months ago and it was the best thing I have done for myself. I had been a member of other gyms before even had a personal trainer for a couple of years but never got the results I wanted.
I came across the Shape up ad on facebook one night I was feeling particularly low and I filled in the information for a call back. Leigh called me the next day and we got the ball rolling. From that first phone call I knew this was going to be a different experience.
I was still nervous about starting because I still had that little voice going "this isn't going to be any different from the other times". How wrong that little voice was. From day 1 everyone was so welcoming. There is no judgement or feeling out of place just there was plenty of encouragement and friendly faces.
Leigh and Jake put in so much work when planning the workouts. They keep a very close eye on you making sure your technique is good so that you don't get injured but also that you are getting the benefits of the exercise. They demonstrate all the exercises before the workout begins so you aren't just expected to know what all exercises are. They are both very good at picking up on your strengths and knowing when they can push you.
Since joining shape up my relationship with food has changed drastically, the habits you are given to help you lose weight and reach your goal are realistic and sustainable. I live for the workouts, I love them. I am now the strongest and lightest I have been in I'd say 10 years and as the days go on getting happier and happier with my figure.

Before starting with Leigh I felt stuck, constantly loosing and gaining the same few pounds, I was uncomfortable in my clothes and lacking in confidence. But I was also apprehensive about joining a gym as I have done so before but with my lack of knowledge and confidence I never got the results I was looking for.
Both Leigh and Jake are very supportive and encouraging in the workout sessions, you always had encouragement to try more or push yourself a little bit further but that was always within you capabilities. The attention, guidance and support to each and every one of us is great, it's always there and no matter when you got a quick, informative and supportive reply to any question you had.
Since I started with Leigh I have gained my confidence, gained on complements and lost inches everywhere! I enjoy not only the workouts but the chats with the girls and guys (Leigh and Jake). Before I started with Shape Up, I was frustrated with myself, had low self confidence, low motivation and did very little physical exercise, or self care. I had tried many different products and groups before Shape Up, but none 'clicked with me' and I didn't stick with them.
Prior to beginning my journey with Shape Up, I was afraid that I would be judged and afraid that I wouldn't fit in. I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to do the exercises or stick with the programme. I feared failure yet again.
When I started with Shape Up, everyone was incredibly welcoming. Leigh and Jake took me through the basics to begin with. The approach is client centered and motivating. The programme was very easy to follow. It simply removed all the excuses that I had used previously.
Since joining, I have found more balance between my work life and home life. I am doing workouts at least three times weekly. I am doing more physical activity outside of the workouts and enjoying the sense of accomplishment that comes from that. I plan my weekly meals and my shopping list. While things don't always go to plan, I do have some tools now to help me in those situations. I am also more confident to ask for help when things become overwhelming.
Since joining Shape Up, I have become physically fitter and can move around without feeling winded. I feel in control of my life as I have more work-life balance. I have self control over my eating, as I have a plan for eating and for when things go awry. Generally, I feel more positive in since joining Shape Up and engaging with the programme and I have more confidence.

I was initially skeptical and nervous about joining Shape Up. Over the years I had "done the gym thing" and never stuck at it so I was not sure this was going to work. The main reason I joined was that I had slowly put on weight, did not enjoy the way I looked anymore and also I needed to get fit for a skiing trip.
My main concern about starting is that it would be full of body builder types and that I would not be able to do it. I also was worried that I would be put on an inflexible diet which meant I would not be able to enjoy life! Oh how wrong I was. Leigh and Jake are incredibly warm and motivating. They are tough on you if they need to be to give you a kick start but also the nicest guys and a bit of craic. The classes are small and all the women are friendly and welcoming. I began to enjoy seeing my small group 3 times a week and there is a great community feel which they actively cultivate. The focus on food is just based on healthy eating and not deprivation, so I found I was able to change my eating habits but never be hungry and still enjoy treats and drinks.
Since I have joined I have become a lot fitter and more active - I am in the best shape I have ever been in and with that comes a great sense of vitality and wellbeing. My skiing trip was a huge success as I had lots of stamina and not one aching muscle because my legs were so strong. I have lost a good amount of weight and am absolutely delighted with the results - but I like I say, it is more than just that, it is also the sense of working out with a great bunch of genuine and down to earth people who all care about each other.
If you are thinking about joining up - don't hesitate - it has been one of the best decisions I have made.

I joined almost a year ago when I was looking for a training programme that I could commit to and build in to my schedule. I wanted to get fitter, healthier & exercise regularly. I have young children , a demanding job & travel quite a bit and so I had been looking for a while for something that would work for me and that I could commit to for the long term.

February 2020, I'd just come back from a trip to India.. I'd seen photos and videos that made me wince at the size I had become!
I'd given up smoking the previous December after 49 years, and had put on about 2 stone! I did not like the view through the camera lens.. none of my clothes fit me and I generally felt like an old fuddy duddy matron! (2 cats, single, a girl guide leader and now to boot fat!!) That and I wasn't the best at eating correctly and regularly..
So I pulled myself up by those same bootstraps and looked online for a gym that suited my working regime, that had early morning sessions, easy to get to and looked like a bit of fun! Lo and behold Facebook read my thoughts (aka algorithms) and suggested Shape Up.
I filled in the form and got a call back from Leigh.. we were ready to rock and roll! 4 days later lockdown happened! So I put off joining for a while as I didn't know what my work life was going to be like!
4 weeks later I started, Leigh had set up online workout sessions, oh, how they kept me going through wave 1 lockdown! Smiling faces on a screen, support on WhatsApp and calls, and ability to do my workout and be in work by 8.30!
Fast forward nearly a year and I am 3 coloured t-shirts in (milestone presents), 2 stone lighter and have gone from taking 1,000 steps a day to 20,000 plus! I now eat 3 well portioned meals a day, my step is light, my face has cheekbones again, and all because of the Shape Up team!
They have adapted to every curve ball the vivid restrictions have thrown them, they have kept is motivated in our commitment to change, and they have kept their sanity along with ours!

I wanted to make a positive change for a long time before I joined the team at Shape up but I kept putting it off. I was nervous about weight training as I didn't know what to expect. I had tried lots of different programmes in the past but nothing stuck. I'm 7 weeks into the programme and I'm more toned, feel mentally stronger and more confident. Before starting Shape Up I had no confidence to walk into a gym or where to even begin. I had seen a post on Facebook where Leigh was explaining what his programme was about and I immediately got in touch with him.
After speaking with Leigh I felt like I wanted to start there and then, I had a good feeling that he totally understood where I was coming from and took on board my fears about how I was feeling about stepping out of my comfort zone and walking into a gym environment thinking I'm going to keel over after 5 minutes!
I took comfort in knowing that I would be working out alongside other women who were also looking to get fitter, healthier and change their shape.
On my first night I was made feel very welcome by not only Leigh and Jake but also the other women. I felt at ease and hoped I could tackle my first workout.

Joining Shape up was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I cannot say enough positive things about it. It has really been life changing. Every time I come to class I leave in a better mood and motivated. As someone who hates going to gyms, this place has helped me get out of my comfort zone because of their classes, which are designed for all levels and beginners like me. They teach you basics that I'm too embarrassed to ask about, like how to properly pick up a weight. Before joining I had tried numerous weight loss programmes from having meals delivered, going to other weight loss groups, slimming world etc. I was feeling tired and lethargic all the time, less confident and not having the energy I felt I should have.
My fears about starting were that I wouldn’t be able to cope with the exercise classes as I was so unfit and I had never exercised with weights and cardio training before. I was basically a complete beginner. I feel I have learnt a wealth of knowledge since joining as I am more aware of portion sizes, the importance of protein in the diet as well as drinking enough water. I’ve learnt so much about nutrition as well as exercises which I can do daily. Classes are inclusive to all body types and skill levels, challenging each person at their own pace.
Leigh, the owner, is very passionate about fitness and brings a knowledge and perspective of fitness to classes. He is constantly mixing it up, challenging me. He expects you to do your best. You come in, give it all, and he reciprocates.
The preliminary assessment was the most thorough I've ever had. Leigh took into account injuries I had when I broke my ankle and helped me build a plan that helped me achieve my fitness goals while also addressing my structural issues. I look forward to my workouts and have already noticed a difference after only a few weeks. Leigh and Jake are top-notch and push me through the workouts...always raising the bar. They are both incredibly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, energetic when I needed it straight after work and somehow finds time to both correct people's form and chat with the group at the same time, making classes engaging in a way that makes them seem shorter than they are.
Leigh offers the kind of support that a team of 10 might be doing in other gyms I have been to. I honestly don’t know he offers such an incredible personal and high level of attention that you really feel you have a fitness trainer and mentor/life coach consistently and daily. It’s not just about losing weight, it’s a complete lifestyle change he offers incorporating mental well being and nutrition advice. Everything about the programme from taking daily photos of food and recording ‘daily wins’ is was so useful and encouraging to keep the motivation and momentum going. It is this level of care that makes Leigh unrivalled in his field. His record of excellence is demonstrated by the fact that he recently won the ‘personal trainer of the year award’ at the Irish Fitness awards ceremony.

I knew I needed a program to help me stay focused. I know what to do, I know how to do it - it was a matter of keeping on track. I know every excuse in the book and kept kidding myself that I could do it on my own. Even having a college degree in health, certified with the American College of Sports Medicine as a health/fitness instructor and a former fitness club owner wasn't enough to keep me in check. Leigh, Jake, Meg and Kim were what I needed. This is what I've discovered: Food accountability is very good, and that is a big part of successful (fat) weight loss. Exercises are varied (not boring) and accommodations are available to those that need. I've been dealing with an injury and Jake helped with work arounds so I kept on track. Sure, I've lost weight, lost inches but life is so much better (I don't ache getting out of bed, I look/feel/perform better).

I joined shape up almost a year ago now never imagined I'd stay this long, but am so happy I have. I would highly recommend Leigh. My main reason for joining Perceptions was to improve my flexibility and overall body strength. Leigh is very personable and ensures the workouts are both fun and also productive. Before I signed up with Leigh, I was feeling lazy from sitting at a desk all day. The only exercise was walking the dog and golf. So when the flier came in my door I signed up immediately. The gym is nearby and it was only 3 mornings per week so that worked out fine as I'm self employed.
There was no judging from Leigh but more listening to what I wanted and needed. I liked the way he had us monitoring the food we ate and in particular the portion size and balance of proteins, carbs and fats. It's definitely made me more aware of what's the foods I eat.
The exercises were enjoyable and for me they worked well. In particular my golf has improved as I've loosed up a lot and at the same time strengthened my core, giving me better flexibility. I even feel fitter walking my dog.

Before I started with Leigh i felt very low with no confidence in myself.I was over weight feeling bloated, exhausted most of the time and found it hard to motivate myself to do anything for myself an also my family, but I knew things had to change.I was just fearful about the commitment that i would have to make with 2 small kiddies at home and also I didnt want to eat rabbit food for 6 weeks an then go back to square one!... When I first joined I felt so uncomfortable in my clothes always felt so fat i was definitely after putting on weight and only felt comfortable in my pj's I hated having to get dressed to go out. I had fallen into a routine where I could stay in bed till dinner time every day I had no energy at all I was very self conscious and had no confidence at all . When I was joining i worried that i wasn't gonna be able to stick with it or follow the food plan or that I wouldn't be able to keep up the same pace with everyone else on the exercise classes and definitely worried that I wouldn't fit in with the group . But I soon realised the plan was simple I didn't have to struggle to figure out what to eat I had support with the team coaches and also all the other women in the group everyone made up one big team and everyone was so helpful and kind I found that I didn't have to give up any of the foods I like I just learned how to control my portions and eat the set meals which I never did as I was never out of bed in time for breakfast alot of the time. I had the coach Kimberley telling me my first zoom exercise was 9am on a Saturday morning I nearly freaked out thinking no way I'll be able but I did it. I now get up for 7am zoom exercise classes and love it as it sets me up for the day i have so much more energy I do at least 3 classes a week and extra activitiesoutdoors too . I have noticed I'm not reaching for biscuits and snacks now as I don't be hungry as I'm eating exactly what my body needs to keep me full also by seeing what others eat helps you to keep ur food options open and try different food that I never would have tried before this . My clothes are fitting me better I've definitely toned up and lost weight . Ive learned that I need to have some time for myself before I can help my family we all need some self care. I'm now in such a better place and my family can see how much my confidence has grown 🙌 I love this group its definitely the best decision I have made to join this community ❤

When I first met Leigh he talked me through the programme and allowed me to establish my current weight/fitness/diet position and then set goals and targets. I felt very unfit at the time and not very happy in myself. Once I got started on the programme then I started to see my fitness levels go up and also saw myself starting to tone up. I was starting to get compliments from people on how I looked so I knew the programme was definitely working!
Leigh is very understanding and if ever you have a bad week that may not have gone as planned, he sits down with you and goes through the week going forward and sets new goals to help you overcome the set back. Before I started shape up I was very unhappy with myself and how I looked but i just kept putting off doing something about it and telling myself I wouldn't be able to do anything in the gym, everybody would be looking at me, I'd look stupid. I've tried all the weight losing groups and would get to a certain point and just give up and join again i was going around in circles!

Before I joined shape up I felt awful in myself and unhealthy. I was to embarrassed to go to a gym afraid people would stare . Shape up is totally different you feel at ease in class it's a small class and it's kind of at the side of the gym so no-one really sees you which I loved . After having my third baby, I wanted to get rid of my mummy pouch, needed a kick start, someone guiding me in the right direction, but I was worried and uncertain where to go especially because I was still breastfeeding and I didn`t feel very fit. Lots of fitness programmes wouldn`t let you to take part as they say their nutrition part wouldn`t be suitable for a breastfeeding mum.
Then I found Leigh and Shape up which is tailored to your individual needs and as you eat your usual food it was no problem to join. Time is also an issue, especially when you have three kids, but Shape up offers different training times in small groups at your pace and time. I had been struggling with weight gain for a few years, and thought that I would just go on a diet ‘soon’ and shed the extra pounds, but the the extra pounds became kilos and then stones and no diet was sustaining , my clothes no longer fitted me, I didn’t want to go out much, and I felt disappointed and frustrated with myself.I had lost my confidence. Leigh’s flyer was popped in my letter box just at the right time , as I had just returned from holidays feeling that this was it, I am going to do something about my weight , the way I ate and the way I felt about myself. I chose the time that suited me ( early in the morning) , and Leigh supported me by giving a plan that would help me to choose the foods in the correct portions to keep me in a calorie deficit in order to shed the extra pounds . Before I started with Shape Up I was feeling really down in myself, I’d gained a good bit of weight and just felt like nothing was working or was too much effort to put in when I’d ultimately end up exactly where I started. Applying for the trial with Leigh in Shape Up was totally out of my comfort zone, I was really nervous I wouldn’t be able for it and that everyone else would be miles ahead. The only way to really overcome any apprehensions is to just go for it and it was so great when I did, Leigh really understands how you’re feeling and all the others girls are lovely and in the exact same boat! Puts you at ease straight away.
I’ve trained with other trainers before and what Leigh does with Shape Up is so different. He takes a real, genuine interest in how you’re doing and what struggles you need to overcome. What you’re doing is completely tailored to you and it makes all the difference.

I was fed up with how slowly I was losing weight. I would sporadically hit the gym and exercise for hours while trying to keep my calorie intake low but it wasn't having the desired effect. I saw an ad on Facebook and it caught my eye because it wasn't just weight loss, it was female only, something I'd looked for before but couldn't find and the last thing I wanted was to feel terrible in myself and going to one of those gyms with girls in makeup and guys more interested in the mirro! I was miserable and needed help but I didn't know where to turn or even which direction to head but I hit the send message button and went from there .Leigh arranged a call and went through everything with me ,how I feel ,how I wanted to feel and the best way to go about it .This was a Monday and I started that night.
I was so scared and anxious! I was overweight, unfit, depressed and anxious. I needn't have been! As soon as I walked in to the other girls they were so friendly and helpful. There are no pretenses here and everyone no matter what their level of fitness or how much weight they have to lose is helpful and has been through exactly what you're feeling. Leigh and Jake start you off with what they think you'll be able for and go from there. I couldn't finish the whole workout but you're not pushed, give your all and you'll be fine. They watch you and know when you're ready to move up in weights and push you when they know you can do more. After the first night I was hooked! Yeah its hard! And yeah sometimes I couldn't be bothered, sometimes I don't even want to be there but the feeling you have after the workout is amazing! This sense of achievement that you can do it and you're only going to get better. Now let's get to the foods! I though I ate OK most days but Leigh guides you through what you're putting in your mouth daily, makes you think about it, suggests changes or for me who has an under active thyroid and hashimotos, came up with suggestions of what and when to eat, everything is tailored individually to you as no one is the same.
If you're looking for a friendly down to earth place to learn, workout and most importantly feel better about yourself, then Leigh and his brother Jake are the guys to help you.
One more thing, mentally, I've never felt better, I suffer from depression and anxiety and this has helped my mental health so much its unbelievable!

Before I started with Leigh I wasn’t happy, I didn’t feel like me anymore I had never struggled with my weight before I had my baby and now that I had put on weight I didn’t know what to do to get back into shape.
I was afraid that I wouldn’t be fit/strong enough to keep up with the excersizes but I was soo wrong.
What I loved about Shape Up was that Leigh really tailored the excersizes to suit women and also took your ailments into account. ( I have a bad back and wasn’t able to sleep on my side before I started now I am able to)

I am 44 today and I do believe that, as we get older our body changes. We need to be adaptive to it and we need to change our minds and habits too.
After being on the wrong path in my life I became a bit depressed (I did not need any medications at the time). I was going to bed very late, snacking a lot, especially white bread, not consuming enough protein, not doing any exercise. And I gained weight up to 80kg and I was scared if scales will show more that. I felt heavy, very down, felt very old and everything was going down the hill. Luckily, I came across an ad on Facebook ‘’We are looking for 5 more mums’’.
I joined Shape Up on 01.11.2020. It was scary and hard at the start. But then it became as a pat of my life and felt natural. Very helpful coaches made everything easy. All the information is accessible and understandable. They are always there for you if you need some help.
Today is 05.03.2021 my weight is 63.1kg. Photos speaks for themselves. I did not expect that result at all. But this is not only about body. My minds are brighter, I have a lot of energy, I learn how to self-care, I do not feel old anymore.
I cannot thank enough Leigh, Jake, Megan, and Kimberley for creating and running Shape Up and helping to make changes in our bodies and minds.
If you are looking to improve and change your life this is the place to be.

Hi leigh, before I started with you I just couldn't get motivated to shift xtra weight that had crept up over a year. I had done the clubs & didn't want to face the same journey counting points again.. So I turned 40 & decided to give it a go! I thought let's give this 2 months but I enjoyed the workouts, the girls, the tips from leigh, the weighins, the measurements so much I stayed for 6 months. Before I started in Shape Up, i felt very low. I was depressed about my weight and the size of clothes i had to buy.
I was afraid because I was so unfit that Iwould not be able to cope with the workouts and that i would give up easily. I was also afraid that i would not lose weight quickly enough and i would lose my motivation to attend the workouts.
I had attenoted many diets and exercise lkans before and they had all failed. But this time i was determined to succeed. I set myself goals- so much weight lost by Christmas, so much more lost by easter, so much more in time for holidays. I reached and surpassed all my goals and this gave me the want to continue.
Leigh is a great motivator. He is firm but kind and wants you to do the best you can. He is at the end of the phone if you have any questions. He gives advise that is easy to follow and encourages you every step of the way.
The biggest thing i have noticed is the huge weight loss and how much my body shape has changed. This has allowed me to throw away all my "fat clothes ". This has been a great boast to my confidence. Also all the positive compliments from my family and friends have been a great confidence booster. The other thing i have noticed is that i have much more energy. Before i lost the weight it was bed to work to bed again. Now i have the energy to play with my 7 year old daughter. I go for regular walks. I have taken part in the women's mini marathon and the darkness into light walk, something i would never have considered before starting Shape Up.
I am feeling much happier in myself now. i have much more confidence than before. I love my new figure and the fact that i can buy nice clothes. I enjoy having more energy and feeling able to enjoy things.
I would tell them about my success. I would encourage them to try it and stick with it and not to give up at the first hurdle. I would show them my before and after photos so i could show them how successful Shape Up is.

Before I started shape-up with Leigh I was very very unhappy. I bought baggy clothes online. I hid at home. I didn't want to be out in public. I made excuses not to meet friends. Food was my friend. I was very depressed.
I had huge fears about starting. I had been with many trainers, been to many gyms, all the weightloss groups and tried all the diets you can imagine. Nothing worked. I thought I would fail again. I thought I would be too fat and unfit to do any excersise. I thought everyone in the gym would be looking at me.
However I did want to change.i didn't want to end up on medication for depression. I knew o had to do something. I had a good friend who was in shape up and saw her transformation.so I picked up the phone and made the call. It was the best decision I ever made.
As I said I had tried many different weightloss things and didn't work. But with Leigh it is so different. He wants you to succeed. He is behind you every step of the way with endless support and encouragement. However it is not just about the excersise and diet. He takes and interest in your struggles and gives guidance and help to overcome them. He is only ever a text message away. He personalises your programe to help you achieve your goals. In my opinion 5 star rating is not enough for what Leigh and shape up has done for me.
The benefits I have felt in such a short 7montjs are incredible. I am full of energy. I can see my body shape. I am much happier and my family and friends can see this. My outlook has changed.i have confidence and self belief that I never thought possible.
Anyone who is thinking of making a change. I would say just pick up the phone and take the first step. You won't regret it. The other girls are so nice and supportive aswell. I never thought I would feel this good and it's only the beginning.

Before I started Shape Up I was feeling quite down and dissappointed in myself. None of my clothes fitted me, I didn't want to go out socialising because I was ashamed of myself and how I let myself go. I had gotten married 6 months previously and had gone on a holiday of a lifetime, I should have been so happy, but I wasn't I was hiding behind baggy oversized clothes. I didn't like when people touched off me, my son would tickle me on either size of my waist and I'd give out to him asking why he had to highlight my wobbly bits.
I really wanted to join a gym but then the fear would set in, "ah no cant go to the gym I'm too unfit" " ah jaysus can't but this fat ass in gym gear" "everyone will laugh" "can't be that one girl that can't do anything or hold the class back"
Then my friend showed me a video Leigh had put on Facebook and the penny dropped "that's me he's talking about". I was delighted to learn that in Shape Up was small classes and that there wouldn't be lots watching me.
I love 😍 Shape Up because it basically what it says in the tin, it's for women like me who have hectic lifestyles and want to exercise and keep fit without having to starve themselves and become hobbits and not be able to eat out and socialise. I've tried numerous diets and exercises but nothing compares to Shape Up, I can still dine out once I make healthy choices and can socialise in moderation and still loose weight, tone up and feel great and more importantly be happy again.
I look forward to going training three times a week. I actually look forward to weigh in each week. I am amazed by the support Leigh gives everyone of his clients, his encouraging words his inspiring quotes and am always pleasantly surprised how he rembers general things with chat about in class and always asks how things have gone during the week. He's not just a trainer he's a friend that helps you when your low, laughs with you when you miss understand lyrics of songs 😂 and puts you on a pedestal when you succeed.
Your not just paying some trainer to shout and scream at you and get impatient when you do things wrong. Leigh works with you to guide you in the right direction and teach you how to be in control.
The best benefits I have noticed is my confidence is back, the baggy clothes are hiding in the wardrobe, the skinny jeans are back on. I don't care if my son tickles me now. I enjoying eating out but choosing the heathy options most importantly I'm happy and delighted with the progress I've made. I've dropped a jean size 👍🏽
Right now I'm on top of the world delighted with my progress, in the right mind set. I'm half way through my journey, but buzzing for the next part can't wait to shed another stone and then really work on maintaining and becoming more toned and being even prouder of how I look 💪🏽
For anyone thinking of joining Shape Up DO IT!!! You'll love it, over come your fears and give it ago. If in the unlikely event it's not for you don't worry at least you can say you've tried. But I bet you if you do it you'll become addict like the rest of our little crew!! Your doing it for you and joining you'll become a member of the community who support each other give support and tips share jokes have fun all while helping each other to achieve our goals and targets and you become the person you want to be. Before I started Leigh’s class I wasn’t feeling to good about my self I knew I was over weight until one day scrolling online I found him so I said to my self what do I have to lose so I went to his class did the free trial and loved it and decided to stay I was nervous at first but everyone made me feel welcome the great thing is I’ve made new friends and I enjoy going to my classes the difference about this class its very laid back and it’s very welcoming and leigh is very understanding of everyone’s needs he really does look after us and he’s helped me from a size 16 in to a 10 within 5 months also the meal plan is brilliant not only that he educates you about nutrition which is amazing so to any one reading this I’d highly recommend going to leigh thanks to him I’ve got my confidence back and I’m just so happy with how I look and how I’ve toned up 🙂

For me the best trainer I could of have possibly found so understanding and patient, for me it was fear of starting of failing ehat other people tought of me, but Leigh made me feel that when your training you feel on top of the world you don't even see others around you for me it has me strong less scared of other people comments and more nicer to be myself and been comfortable.

Before I started with Leigh I felt so uncomfortable in my clothes and avoided social outings as a result of how I was feeling. I also feared if I joined I wouldn’t be able to have any of the food and drink I enjoyed I couldn’t off been more wrong . Once I made a decision to go for the free trial (I mean what I had got to lose only weight ) Leigh made me feel so at ease and completely understood exact what I needed to feel and helped me understand how I could achieve this without giving up everything I enjoyed(yes wine & chocolate) I left the first workout feeling so motivated Shape up so different from everything else I’ve tried (believe me I’ve tried them all ) I’m with shape up nearly a year now and it’s best decision I’ve made. I’ve lost weight and inches and have toned up, I’m feeling so much more confident and fit in my clothes so much better . I actually enjoy dressing up now for nights out .
