Good, small burger joint. Homelike atmosphere and very kind staff. It’s just…the hamburgers are too small and slightly overpriced. The basic nature of the menu is a good thing when wanting simplicity of choice (implying there’s nothing fancy here), but over €10 for a double cheeseburger is too much. At least for one of this size. Chips are okay. Pics of the coolers for their drink selections.

I wouldn't be the biggest burger fan, however, I found Bunsen's burgers to be very tasty and cooked to perfection. The fries were a nice touch and delicious. The staff were lovely and friendly. Well worth checking out.

The best burgers in Ireland, I would say in Europe. So simple and yet so delicious. I know that the pictures are not so instagramable but the taste is out of the world. Don’t expect fancy ingredients it just meat, cheese and simple toppings but quality is on the highest level.

One of the best burgers I've had in the city in a long while and great for those with Coeliac! I got the double burger and it was some feast... I couldn't finish it was so big lol. I like that the menu was nice and small, with little choices, but all you need in a burger joint. It would of been nice to have more variety of sauces options to have on the side though, rather than having to use actual bottles.

Simply the best burger joint in Ireland period! Have been to the one in Dublin and this one in Cork is exactly the same in terms of taste. The burgers are so juicy and delicious. The double cheeseburger is an absolute must! The sweet potato fries on the side are a good compliment to the burger as they are so crispy and delicious! The strawberry milkshake is also a little treat that tops of the burger and fries nicely. The staff at this place never fails to impress me, what an absolute nice bunch of people. Burgers are delicious, fries are crispy and staff are perfect, couldn't ask for a better burger place. I'd highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

I have visited Bunsen few times, the cheeseburger here are amazing! The meat is tender and fresh. They also ask how do you like the meat to be cooked. The cheese is tasty and the chips’s portions are big. Funny enough: they have got the smallest menu in the world:) It is a nice little place where the staff are friendly and the service is good. Great location too. Highly recommended!

It’s fine. Outdoor seating out the back has no ambience. There’s no alcohol served here. It has limited options, you can get ketchup, Mayo, or mustard with the chips. I think Bunsen used to be the best around but now there are better alternatives with nicer atmospheres. It’s nice, but I’ve had better meals and restaurant experiences. It’s super fast casual. In and out. Few options. Good quality fast food. Many people will enjoy this. But for a meal out I would avoid. For a quick lunch go for it. I’d consider going here over Burger King or McDonald’s for example. It’s more high end then those.

A bit better than fast food. Burgers are freshly made, but are small and simple- no real flavor surprises. They only do burgers or cheeseburgers, with or without pickles, onions, lettuce, mustard, and ketchup. It's a fast food tasting burger, with better ingredients and a fresher taste. I can make this same hamburger on my own grill at home. The interiors are cramped and awkward. Service during my visit was scarce. I don't get what the hype is about.

Have eaten at Bunsen many times and I can only say good things about the place. The menu is simple and the food is fantastic. Like they say themselves, “Straight up, Burgers”. How a burger place should be. The staff are friendly and prompt and the waiting times for a table are never too long. It is always busy, which I take as another good sign of a place to eat out. It also has a real rustic feel in the way your food is served. One of my favourite places to eat out and I would thoroughly recommend.

A risky business producing a menu of only four items! There are only four choices of burger and that is all they have. But the double cheese burger I had was really tasty and cost less than a tenner excluding sides. Four varieties of fries are available as a side. This place does not have vegetarian options. The downside for me was no beer on tap and cans are expensive.

I was never really bothered with this place, you have been to one burger place you have been to then all I thought. I could not have been more wrong! The burgers here are one of the best I have had anywhere! The beef used to make the burgers can not be compared to anywhere I have been before. It was amazing and succulent. I've been here a few times now and I can say this restaurant has the best burgers I've ever tasted! The restaurant main floor and bathroom were very clean, the staff were super friendly and polite (and didn't interrupt the food a lot either) and the place has a lovely vibe. It's small enough on the inside but you won't be too on top of the people next to you so that's okay. I was last here during a busy lunch time and there was a bit of a wait for the food, but it was okay as everything is made fresh. It is 50c extra for a gluten free bun but the bun is quite tasty. However, the bottom bun will fall apart as you are eating it so be ready!

My husband and I are craving for a delicious hamburger so this is the restaurant that came first to my mind because I am very pleased with their burger. He ordered a well done double cheeseburger and shoestring fries. The taste of the meat ans bread was so good! I especially loved the fries because when they are so thin (shoestring) you don't get very full easily even if you have consumed your burger. Are you a US Expat craving a delicious burger? Then this is the spot for you. At first seating the very simple menu inspired confidence. When abroad you discover most places that serve burgers try to do everything. The most common here is Fish and Burgers. Every fish and chips/burger joint I have had the misfortune to dine in has always been disappointing at best. Bunsen offers beautiful simple burgers and cheese burgers in single or double. That's it. They have three types of fries, handcut, shoestring and sweet potato. We tried the shoestring and the sweet potato. Which were both great. One warning about the burger patties, these are not skinny American style fast food hamburger patties. These are what we would call a restaurant sized patty. Not knowing this, I ordered the double cheese burger as to compare against my So Cal favorite In & Out and had to remove a patty to eat the next day. The burger was hot and delicious and the bun was soft and perfect. If you are avoiding gluten, they have gluten free bread available and will also serve it "Paleo" wrapped in lettuce. For this review I took one for the team and ate the bun. Next time I'll go Paleo as my stomach no longer appreciates the gluten. But darn it was worth it.

Really good burger. This could be within the top 10 or so of all burger I have eaten. You really taste, that neither the patty nor the bun are standard. They are high quality and self-made. For most burgers the patty's are pre pressed and frozen - it's totally different at Bunsen. You can also choose how well done the patty should be. I had it grilled until medium. Really good taste and texture! The price is also very reasonable. Fries are regular fries, nothing special. The milkshakes are good. I had a chocolate milkshake and it tasted very good - it had many pieces of chocolate in it. I can totally recommend this place.

Really good burgers... Don't get the double burgers as they tend to break apart and become very very messy. It would almost be worth getting 2 cheeseburgers instead if your hungry however it would be expensive. Milkshakes are nice but not the strawberry ones. Tunes inside are the best old school hip hop and rap! Staff are lovely too! Great little spot in Cork but don't believe the bunsen brand ambassadors all the time. Coqbull next door have amazing burgers too, the Silly goose, Sober lane, Son of a Bun all have incredible burgers too.
