o. 1.I have always found Maximus Grill to be one of the best places to have chips in maynooth and the surrounding areas. Always a great bag of chips. Decent size bag and not too expensive. It's a popular spot and can be busy sometimes. Since most pubs are unable to open to the public like they used to, Maximus hasn't been too busy. Would highly recommend trying this place out if you haven't already.

M. P.The new shopfront may well be aesthetically pleasing, but I'm afraid that's where the pleasure stops. I feel like Maximus is trying too hard to be something it's not. A chipper with no snack box or fish and chips on the menu is farcical, and the addition of 'butterfly chicken' is unnecessary and unfortunate. Headless chickens isn't the word, I won't be returning.
Edit: I have noticed that maximus have made amendments to the menu back to a more conventional style; I have since tried it again but I was half cut so I don't fully recall. I'm willing to give it another chance.

- This may vary due to personal tastes, but they will ask to add salt or vinegar on chips; their vinegar tastes old and dated.
