T. Q.Loved this place :-) Went for a sunny cliff walk and swim in Portally Cove Bay before walking back to a nice yummy big feed of fish and chips. It was busy when I got there but the order was nice n quick and I ended up sitting across the way on the grass in the sun. I shall be back :-)..... Thanks Elaine!
J. E.I'd say it's OK. I've had better fish and chips in Ireland. The staff is quite nice but always very busy and under pressure. The food is tasty however it is a game of luck. Sometimes you'll get very well-made fish and fresh chips and sometimes the opposite. I've been sold only a bit of fish and a tail and undercooked chips before, but other days you get very good portions that are filling and taste great. I recommend going there on the weekends, the busier they are the better quality the food seems to be. I have tried the Heineken they sell. Very tasty and a good choice with fish. I bought the haddock. Also, get a portion of fish Nd chips and an extra portion fish. BEST QUALITY. there are enough of chips to fill you up so the extra fish is perfect.
R.Didn't live up to the hype sadly from what I'd heard last year. I visited on visit on Sunday 27th June '21 at around 20:00.
They'd run out of ketchup, didn't sell curry sauce, & chips were on the overly crispy & hard side. I did feel the fish was small & had more batter than it should have, but on the whole the meal was just on the OK side, nothing to write home about.
Also it'll save so much on packaging if the staff put salt & vinegar on the fish & chips much like in a regular chipper, rather than offer individual packets, which I'd daresay, most may get wasted & thrown out with not being used.
Even though the restaurant section wasn't able to allow indoor dining, they should have allowed the toilet to be used as some of us prefer to properly wash our hands rather than use sanitiser before eating a meal.
Staff were fairly friendly though & could have taken my order faster.

P. D.It's simple it's straight forward. A little takeaway restaurant with a fishing harbour background selling of all things...fish. Great fish, Scampi and even a lobster sandwich + chips in a alfresco a dining format we've all found a new appreciation for. Visited twice in one week while passing through. PS nice staff too.

Squid was different "chunks" instead of just rings and the chips were perfect; nice crunch with nice soft inside. Fish shop next door has great selection of local products and seafood. A must stop!

J. “. M.Had some lovely haddock and chips today. The haddock came away in flakes : a sign of fresh fish. Chips are cooked in nice oil. Chatted with other diners at the outdoor tables. The sunshine was glorious and the swim gave me an appetite.
S. C."Have you anything other than fish?" a man asked after queuing for 15 minutes. "Chips" came the answer as quick as lightening. This is a golden nugget for fresh fish cooked to perfection and served with great energy and humour. The chips are really good too. A highlight of our staycation. Be prepared to queue, but its worth it!
