Was a lovely little place, very comfortable and pleasant. The breakfast was very good and the rooms were ample, clean and nice. Only drawback? The television was old and on its last legs, and only 10 channels? Other than that, I'd totally recommend the place!!

Hotel is situated less than 10 minutes drive from Westport close to the small village of Aghagower with views to Croagh Patrick. The rooms are quite generously sized and there is plenty of parking. The terrace provides an alternative to eating or having a drink in the bar. Very friendly staff who are keen to do all they can to answer queries and attend to specific needs. Breakfast has the usual choices and the dinner menu shiuld have something for everyine. Footgolf is on the doorstep for thise who want to show off their skills.

A place whare you family can go and enjoy the ambiance of this unique Hotel. Set in the countryside yet not in the country. Only a few minutes from Westport down on the Ballinrobe road. The food is excellent and the service is second to none. Your children can play safely in the beautiful green surroundings of a country style getaway. Its been place to kick of the pressures of life and abandon yourself in its charm. Truly the crem de là crem of of peaceful holidaying. 🙂

Nice room, friendly staff. Expensive for what it is. Unfortunately my stay was ruined by drunken clowns loudly shouting in corridor at 2am.

I came here from Galway for a night with my gf. The place is beautiful, but we started off with a very bad experience. When we arrived to our assigned room, the toilet wasn't working and there were... solid leftovers from the previous guest. Disgusting. On the floor we also find a piece of paper (a ticket or something), not so important but it added up. We notified and they apologized and changed our room, but we felt very uneasy afterwards about how much they cleaned the rooms in times of the pandemic when it's so important. The rest of our stay it wad okay. The bed was comfy, the food was nice and the bar staff were very nice. The views from the hotel were amazing, and it was very close to Westport by car.

Lovely staff, great views from all sides of the hotel, a nice bar and the breakfast was very good. Our room was a good size and very clean. However, the mattress was a bit springy and probably needs to be replaced. Westport town is easily accessible by taxi from this hotel and we would recommend staying here rather than staying in the town itself. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel!

Just had a two night stay in the country lodge and would have no hesitation in staying again or recommending it to anyone. From the moment we arrived, the receptionist, who I believe was named 'Ro', was absolutely lovely and set up what was an amazing weekend. The rooms were spacious and clean and all the staff we encountered, from the bar to the restaurant, were extremely helpful and courteous. Food and drink prices were very reasonable too. We will be back.

Flawless. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was perfect. The receptionist who checked us in was the friendliest person I had ever met - until we went down to the restaurant for dinner and met our waitress. Definitely check out the pizza menu if you like pizza. It was new at the time but everything was cooked to perfection. Our room was perfect, we had a fantastically big bed which was really comfortable. Even the hairdryer was perfect (a proper high-end one). When we left, we were checked out by a different receptionist (now, the nicest person I've ever met). I've honestly never met such consistently wonderful staff. 10/10, would give more stars if I could.

Went to play footgolf and then had a meal inside afterwards. Highly recommend footgolf, brilliant value for money and good fun. The meal in the Lodge after was delicious and following trend, great value for money, not to mention to pints were ace. Friendly staff. Would recommend

5 star luxury for 3 star price. Massive room with king size bed. Both shower and large full size 2 person bath. Corner room with views over the front entrance display. Extremely quiet and well sound-proofed. Restaurant inexpensive with massive portions of food! Good for a short visit or week long stay

Went here with the family for 3 nights the food and bar was nice and staff were very welcome and lovely. The only thing that let them down was the room. The walls are so thin you can hear everything going on. I was there for the 3 nights and the sheets were not changed my hole stay and i no this from the stains that were on them. The shower never turned fully off so all night you could hear water dripping. When we arrived we had a kettle and cups with supplies in the room.which were also only changed once. The dirty cups and spoons were left there. The table was never wiped down and the mirror was dirty from the mintute we arrived till when we left. The carpets were filty dirty you could see every stain. Also they were never hoovered as we had kids so there was crumbs etc. The only thing the cleaners done was the bins and towels. That was it. I loved my stay the the food was lovely just your cleaners let yous down.

A nice small hotel located in the countryside outside of Westport. We found the staff very friendly and had a lovely dinner in their restaurant. Our room was large and comfortable. However we were staying near the back of the hotel and there was a constant humming buzzing sound all night - for their air-con machines I think. They need to fix that

Got here reasonably late. Had chicken curry in the bar. It was nice and hot. The table in the bar wasn't easy to get at from the chair. My hotel room was nicely decorated and comfortable. Got down for breakfast and had to wait over 5 minutes before a waiter came along. It was 20 mins before my breakfast arrived. Brown bread was too sweet to finish..

Room was spacious and had a good view. I guess upon arrival there was an issue with bookings because we ended up having someone walk into our room at midnight! I guess they hadn't properly marked who was in what room. Reception in the morning did apologize and sent up a bottle of presseco... me being pregnant, I did not have any anyways. Overall it was a good experience, staff were friendly but improvements definitely need to be made in bathrooms. Shower sprayed so weird that there wasn't a square inch it wasn't spraying so you had to shut water off just to soap up. Next day I decided to have a bath since the shower didn't go so well. The faucet was so close to the tub it ran into the overfill drain.. taking twice the time to fill, and a quarter way of filling up we realized water would only go as hot as room temp.

Stayed here a few weeks ago. We have stayed before and would stay again. This time there was a bit of trouble at check in which we were only became aware of later on. Also some issues when we ordered in the bar. Otherwise it was a good stay. Notably reception staff were excellent at resolving the problems efficiently and to a high satisfaction. Rooms are basic but adequate. The whole place gave the impression it could do with a make over. We did not use the restaurant as the menu was uninspiring and expensive. Some staff were polite and helpful.

Absolutely love the Westport Country Lodge Hotel my family and I rented it out the family room 8 times in 3 an a half years my mum was with me every time we all spent Christmas of 2018 at the Country Lodge Hotel and unfortunately it was to be my mum's last Christmas my mum passed away on the 8th of December 2019 but every holiday that we had there was absolutely fabulous the staff were very pleasant ,welcoming and friendly the hospitality the service and the food where excellent and I would absolutely 100-percent recommend the Westport Country Lodge Hotel it will be hard but I can not wait to make my next booking ☺☺☺☺

So this would appear to be a family run hotel based on the staff members. Child labour and all that, but in the sweetest way possible. It's a fair distance from Westport though, you'll need a taxi to go to the town of you want a beer or a glass of wine. There is no restaurant per se, more like a bar food menu. In fairness, the food was excellent and the staff are lovely. Rooms above average. Hotel did feel a little homely rather than professional as evidenced by breakfast the next morning. Also felt the room rate was too high. Please note that any reference to being under the shadow of Croagh Patrick would only be accurate is Mt Everest was the second highest mountain in the world. It's fine, but you can do better.

Was there for a wedding the May bank holiday weekend and it was fantastic! Amazing service, friendly staff, great food and a gorgeous location. The wedding was stunning couldn't fault a thing! Highly recommend!

(Translated) The wheelchair-accessible room was well furnished, but had no seat in the shower. They helped us further with a chair that was much too large, so there was no place to shower properly. A normal plastic garden chair would have been easier. The bed had a good mattress. (Original) De rolstoeltoegankelijke kamer was goed ingericht, maar had geen zitje in de douche. Men heeft ons verder geholpen met een veel te grote stoel, zo was er geen plaats om fatsoenlijk te douchen. Een gewone tuinstoel in plastic was gemakkelijker geweest. Het bed had een goede matras.
