M.We had a lovely weekend in Lady Gregory. The hotel is a really hidden gem, it looked beautiful dressed up for Christmas. Our family room was spacious and very clean. The food was delicious for breakfast and dinner and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly from reception to restaurant. We had a magical break. Thank you to all the staff you made us feel so special. We can't wait to return.
n. f.Passing through we decided to go in for lunch. Staff were really friendly . All covid procedures were in place, it was a carvery lunch , great selection very reasonable priced and tasted delicious. Portions were generous.

M. O. D.A little dated but you would have to admire the timber craftsmanship .Rooms apparently are not made up daily not even new towels or tea and coffee top up . We asked at reception for top up and did receive it but can't understand how in covid there is less cleaning done. The breakfast was not the best part of the day limited products on offer.
M. Z.It was good, but might be better. Service is the main issue. Waiting extra 45 minutes for the room to be ready plus nearly an hour for a meal... Plus one of the materaces in room 226 should be replaced like ages ago.
But staff members are very nice, just the service itself is extremely chaotic.
J. K.My sister is a wheelchair user and anytime we plan to meet for a meal this hotel is top of our list. The service is brilliant and they go out of their way to accommodate the wheelchair.

D.Here for the bank holiday weekend....lovely big hotel....our room was for 3 people lovely & big....bathroom had bath & separte shower unit....Yeats bar was olde world charm...plenty of staff coming over to our table asking did we need anything....we had bar food which was very tasty.....breakfast was cold buffet which u helped urself too & hot buffet was given out by staff member...staff were so nice & helpful.....lesiure centre was a bonus too....this is a hidden gem of a hotel in Gort but not much else around the area

M. B.Staying with you was an experience we won’t forget. We were on a bike trip so we had lots of last minute changes, plus the hotel just reopened after Covid. Nevertheless, the ladies and the boy at the front desk were INCREDIBLY helpful all the time, night or day, for four days: moving to our pool, dinners and breakfast times, a room change... And always with a smile. Need a bottle opener? Here you are. Need to print something? Any time. I'm still shocked at how accomodating everyone was in difficult post-pandemic times.
The restaurant was great too, the dish of the day was always different and fresh, the Italian server? What an attentive and elegant man. The girls at breakfast service also adapted the dishes if we asked and the bar tenders were quick and fun.
Thank you guys, you made a superb experience of these very much needed short holidays. I would be back, any day.

And professional. Food is good but portion sizes differ depending on choice. Family room is huge with double and 3 single beds. The hotel is spotless and there is someone constantly cleaning door handles, tables bathrooms etc. Only down side for us was we didn’t get to use the leisure centre due to the restrictions there was no availability so I would advise you book for the swimming pool before arrival to the hotel

M. D.Nice hotel over all. The breakfast with the American style pancakes were delicious. Had the same guy from the previous night who serviced us for dinner, very, very friendly guy and has a nice way about him, couldn't say what nationality he was. The room was nice and it was clean and did the job for the night.
Only downside for me was there was all these covid measures in place but nobody seemed to care if guest wore masks or not. If I'm heading away, I want to know I'm safe and all proper measures are in place and ppl are wearing masks as I don't want to be passing stuff on to my family due to my travels. Also I think its unfair for staff as well, as it shows how little their safety matters as well. You wouldn't allow them work if they had a cough or cold but yet guests don't seem to have to wear masks.
I'm fed of Covid myself but measures are in place for a reason and I have to follow them as I don't want us as a country to keep going up and down levels and maybe eventually in full lockdown as the first time around was awful.

A. R.The hotel was probably incredibly beautiful in its day but is getting quite run down. The room was spacious but again getting run down. Desk staff were helpful. Dinner in the bar restaurant was okay but staff not friendly. Staff for the breakfast were much friendlier. Food was good all around.
A. U.I had my wedding here on 23/06/2017. The staff were so nice and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The building is beautiful inside also. The rooms are large, the showers have great pressure and the food is amazing. We will be coming back. Thank you to Fiona for making our day so fantastic.

R. G.I couldn't be anymore happy with my meal. I asked for extras because I'm a pig and I got them all.with a smile. So helpful and so willing to please. The beef was outstanding and tender. Only €12.50 for a huge Sunday lunch is a pure bargain. Well done credit where its deserved.

The food at the restaurant and bar area is great. They have a carvery on a Sunday which is quite popular. Close to the town, so you can walk in and back in no time.
A. S.Clean enough, but quite dated. Particularly the leisure area, cubicles hanging off the walls, sauna and steam room out of order, half the jets in the pool-jacuzzi weren't working and every pool light was disconnected with wires hanging out in the water (presumably safe, but not great looking). Overall disappointing, we paid extra and booked here because of the leisure facilities and they're so far below expectations. Having said that, room's big, bathroom's fine and restaurant smells good.
M. O.Great family run hotel with beautiful interior foyer, comfortable restaurant serving delicious carvery food at very affordable prices. Nothing is too much trouble here, hospitality defined. Leisure centre is clean and well run. Rooms are standard, clean and well maintained.
B. Q.Surprisingly good value,vgreat drinks and food, especially pizza. The system of ordering downstairs then queuing upstairs is a faff, but is commonplace. They use very little plastic, and are very good staff. Highly recommended

The carvery and bar staff were quick to refill and full of the latest local news. The breakfast staff treat everyone like they are the only ones seated , even the bus loads of tourists, and will see to it that you leave fully satisfied. Don't pass up the opportunity for true Irish hospitality. The Lady Gregory will surpass your expectations.

B. O. B.Asked for chips 🍟 with the order and never came. Veg was barely steamed and undercooked. A pity hotels don't ask patrons how they would like their veg cooked. Also a lot of senior guests in Ireland like their veg boiled not steamed. Also no one asked if the service was good or not. No sign of a restaurant supervisor or hotel manager which is disappointing. Becoming all too common in alot of hostelries lately.
T.A great value. With the price we were paying I didn't expect to walk into such a luxurious looking reception. Rooms were ok, but matched the price better. The breakfast was delicious and I wish I had the chance to take advantage of the spa services offered.

R. H.Went to a party at the hotel in one of there function rooms. Room had it's own bar and free finger food was provided. Food was good. Function room was comfortable and had space for dancing. Good night was had by all.

The wedding reception was conducted faultlessly and I was amazed at the high standard of service provided. From arriving at the hotel on Thursday to leaving on Monday, the entire experiance was a pleasure in every way, from friendly staff, great food and excellant rooms. Highly recommended!
