Landlady is a lovely woman. The room was nice but flies were a real issue. They got in during the night somehow even though the window was closed. There is a farm directly beside the house so flies are a given I guess. Also thought it was quite expensive for one night. The kitchen facilities needed a deep clean. Teapots for example were really dirty inside. I know cleaning a hostel is harder because guest must clean up after themselves. But great little place over all

This place is ok. The rooms were clean and the beds were pretty comfy but the bathroom was less than average. The place is a bit isolated but it's not too far from Castlebar. Overall it's fine for a few days but don't except too much.

A lovely, clean, family-friendly hostel with a relaxed atmosphere, ideally located near Claremorris, Knock and not too far from Castlebar. We really enjoyed our trip and would recommend a stay here.

Simply great. Clean, calm, beautifully, comfortable. You can meet donkeys, goats, sheep and different breeds of geese, ducks and chickens.

Quiet, off-road hostel. It is situated in the middle of beautiful Irish fields. The buildings themselves stay true to the countryside style. The communal areas are clean, warm and homey. There were quite a number of kids during our stay but we didn't mind. Kids are kids. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. It is very basic, so don't expect fancy. My only complaint is there were very few furniture in the rooms to put your stuff on, but we made do.

Great value for money farmhouse accommodation. Very spacious and clean. Only 30 minutes away from Knock airport. Lovely landlady. Ideal for families as the family rooms are huge.

Fantastic hostel. Friendly family run hostel. Rooms are spacious with great shower facilities. I stayed here with my girlfriend for 1 night as we had a family wedding nearby. Great location and would stay again

Amazing B&B rooms are very clean and tidy. And comfortable to sleep in. Nice big sitting room and kitchen. Nice friendly owners. Self service breakfast. Would be very suitable for anyone going to knock as it's only 15mins away and very reasonable in price. 10mins from cláirmorris. Only 1hr away from croagh Patrick. Would highly recommend it.

Tidy and well organized. Clean towels and comfortable beds and the landscape is beautiful. They even have a copy of The Dilbert principle in the book shelf.

Our stay at Valleylodge was wonderful. Mary is such a gracious host (and she makes the best homemade bread!). Be on the lookout for signs to Facefield and Valleylodge on the road - we definitely missed it and got lost but it is worth it to stay here. The breakfast was amazing and Mary greeted us with tea upon arrival. It was a true B&B experience and I would highly recommend Valleylodge if you are staying in Co. Mayo in Ireland. Visit nearby Foxford and the Woolen Mills.
