T. G.Booked Rolfs for a small getaway for when lockdown was going to be over. It came recommended by a friend that stayed there and we weren't let down. The cottage is only a 10 min walk from Baltimore and it has superb gardens all around it with plenty of seating. The room itself is spotless and extremely quiet with everything you need. My wife really appreciated the tea making facilities that they have on the way to our room. We ate in the dining room one night and the food that came out was excellent, plus the time between courses was just right, as was the fresh breakfast every morning. Federica was always pleasant and asked how our day was and recommended places for us to visit. The girls that were serving us were so polite also when tending us, they are a credit to the cottage. I would certainly recommend Rolfs to anyone that wants a quiet getaway and it's a great base for visiting that end of the country. Thank you all for a lovely few days.
G. M.Perfect getaway place in West Cork. Their location is high over Baltimore, giving you really nice views. Their dining room is vastly under-rated. A total pleasure to eat there, and every one of the staff I met there are a treasure, being interesting and ready to spend time chatting with you. Very very highly recommended.

Our hearts jumped with joy when we arrived after our long drive to see such a quaint attractive beautiful dwelling with open garden courtyard and access that combined outdoors with indoor living. It's a 41 yr old Austrian family owned hotel. Their love and experience shines through it. The landscaped but wild gardens with a medley of tropical plants is a sight for sore eyes. A little paradise.
We were shown our beautiful room by Stephen whose thoughtfulness made us feel so welcome. The room was small but spotless and beautiful with lovely views of the countryside and inner garden. The newly refurbished marble ensuite again small but lovely . Also the soap products were very nice.
Federica looked after us so well and guided us with the menu and also booked us on the ferry for Cape Clear island . Her brother Johan, the chef, did himself proud with an excellent evening dinner .
We stayed 2 nights...location brilliant as we could leave our car safely in their ample carpark and walk 10 mins to Baltimore ferry.

J.This is a gem of a restaurant. The fillet steak is one of the finest and most tender I have ever tasted and overall this was one of the best meals I have had in years. Federica was very knowledgeable and very friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is only a short distance from Baltimore and a little off the main road but you will not be disappointed. Can't wait to go back.

R. M.Stayed in self catering. Perfect accommodation. Immaculate bedrooms, living area, bathroom, utility and kitchen. Nice picnic benches on a shared courtyard. Great wine bar and restaurant. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in addition to cakes teas and coffees. Very accommodating and friendly owners. Best place to stay in Baltimore with a family five minutes walk away from the village proper. But far enough away to be still and peaceful at night. Would definitely stay here again.
S. N.Wow! My husband and I dined in Rolf's Restaurant in Baltimore for our Wedding Anniversary yesterday evening for the first time and loved it's rustic warm charm. Their extensive menu offered great food served by extremely welcoming friendly staff who were very attentive and helpful. It certainly ticked all the boxes for us and we can't wait for a return visit. Highly recommended.
C. W.As others have mentioned Rolf's is a hidden gem. If you are in Baltimore or exploring the west cork area like we were, do yourself a favor and stay here at least one night. The tranquil gardens and courtyards, several bars and lovely breakfast (best coffee during our whole trip) enticed me to stay longer, but we only stayed one night. Looking forward to returning someday in the near future.
