Hanora’s cottage is an exceptional experience from start to finish, the picturesque peaceful surroundings, the incredibly friendly staff and the most delicious food you’ll ever eat, our bedroom was beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable with the luxury of an amazing jacuzzi. It was the perfect escape. I can’t recommend it more highly.

Had a fab overnight stay with my sisters and I would highly recommend it . We had fab weather October and Sat outside relaxing and having a glass of wine or two . The food was excellent and home baked bread to due for . The staff ate great and atmosphere so relaxing and spotlessly clean. Mary is a lvly lady and runs a fab B n B ... Will definitely pay another visit .

I have heard of Hanoras Cottage many times and even though I live only 30 minutes away I have only recently managed to visit this gem. We went here as a family for dinner (6 people) and I can say for certain that I will be back soon. The food was delicious, well presented, and served by wonderfully friendly staff. We arrived a few minutes ahead of our reservation and we were seated for drinks before being brought into the main restaurant. All the ingredients are locally sourced as explained in the menus. I actually found it quite difficult to pick my meal off the menu as I wanted to try everything. Looking forward to another visit soon.

Beautiful location, comfortable bed, delicious food, and helpful staff. The jacuzzi bath was also lovely after a long hike up the mountains. We will definitely return to Hanora's Cottage!

Had a magical stay there as a family for my mom's birthday. The food was amazing and the lovely woman who runs the cottage packed us a picnic for our hike. Surroundings are so peaceful with beautiful walks. Hope to come back again.

I used a voucher when I got married. But man this place is fantastic but hard to get there. It is on top of a mountain with beautiful surroundings and the people are just lovely I stayed there for one night. It doesnt have connection for 4G or H. There is Wifi. The hotel bedroom has its own jacuzzi and its lovely. The hotel is nicely decorated with full of decor background. I would definitely go back there again for some nice peace and quiet.

Amazing, absolutely wonderful in every way, the welcome, the staff and of course Mary herself!! The evening meal was exceptional so tasty and well presented, the scallops and Tom Power's black pudding for starters were delicious, our mains of steak and lamb cutlets were even more delicious, dessert too. The breakfast was divine so much variety and so well presented, a huge array of fresh fruit and delicious freshly baked bread. Great value too

We just love Hanora's Cottage! We've visited once a year for the past few years. It is such a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of day to day life. We've stayed in the rooms with the Jacuzzi and have dined in the restaurant. The food is just out of this world, both dinner & breakfast. We've also been treated to homemade snacks upon arrival. I couldn't recommend Hanora's Cottage highly enough.

What a wonderful place . Up near the nire valley . Went there with 34 members of a walking group for our Christmas night out. As my first visit i was very impressed. A very homely place one would immediatly feel comfortable here. Food was excellent. Staff great . The owner went to each table for a chat and to make sure everyone was happy . Night ended up with a sing song . Great night . Go there if you get a chance . Will go back in the summer so i can avail of the beautiful scenery and take a nice walk up the mountains .

What can I say? What a fantastic place to stay. We spent 2 nights at Hanora's Cottage. Delicious food, very comfortable rooms, friendly warm welcome and wonderful walking trails. We haven't been looked after this well in years.Nothing too much trouble. Thank you Mary, Ann and the rest of the team. The Youngs will be back. Regards Bryanna, John and Jack. Good menu. Staff very friendly and service very good. Food presentation and taste was very good. No mobile signal so if travelling for first time, keep an eye for sign posts.

Very homely and welcoming. Breakfast and evening meals were very good and there was a great selection on offer. Rooms were comfortable but the decor is a little dated.

We were looking for somewhere to stay for one night between Dublin and Killarney and this popped up. This turned out to be one of the best stays we had in our entire trip to Ireland. Tucked away on a quiet street that leads to the Nire Valley, the drive there alone was lovely. With wonderful hospitality and charm this was the perfect cozy stay in the countryside. The room was spacious, with a large jacuzzi tub (perfect after a long day). Breakfast was absolutely wonderful (sadly, we missed out on dinner). Our only complaint was that we didn't book more than one night - and explore more of the Nire Valley. We will definitely have to return!

Beautiful large quiet room dual aspect. The staff could not be more obliging and fed us the most delicious and wholesome food a little outside of their official kitchen hours. Verdant bucolic spot with chuckling brook. I am going back.

Wonderful couple of days at Hanora's Cottage - a perfect place, after a sumptuous breakfast, from which to set off for a day's walking in the nearby hills and to return to the home comforts provided by Mary and her staff, not least of which was a delicious evening meal. We'll be back!
