A. G.Nice place to visit Santa, kids were exited and very happy, they got lovely presents too. Well organized, communication on email is very quickly, staff very kind, car park available.
m. a.Aqua park was very enjoyable for kids. Although those who can't swim should avoid. Especially for every 6 kids 1 adult must be present and if that one adult doesn't know swimming, you can't help the kids if they are slipping and falling. Kayaking was so much fun.
M. M.We were here for 3 nights, 2A & 2c, arrived at 12.30pm to be told park anywhere except particular grass pitches. The site was busy, cars/Campers driving in both directions, and some of the occupants didn't vacate their pitch until 4.30pm which was unfair but not marshaled by anyone.
I know it's October but the site was untidy and unkempt looking, the grass cuttings blocked some shores which resulted in unnecessary flooding, the stone steps leading up to the snake slide were covered with leaves, and very slippy for kids, an accident waiting to happen.
I wasn't impressed by the location of grey/ black waste emptying spot adjacent to the cooking/washing up facilities, not very attractive.
Other kids enjoyed themselves but I wouldn't call it value for money especially with the extra charges for boating, laser, trampoline etc _ a reduction of €2.00 if you buy a wrist band covering 4 events, not really a saving.
Restaurant was good choice, polite staff, but the one way system was a joke, finally I know it's "Hidden Valley " so WiFi was hit/miss but when I asked staff in the restaurant about the WiFi the reply was, we don't even have a password for ourselves to log in.
M. F.Brilliant spot, very clean, safely enclosed with security at night. Great facilities for big and small with a lovely snack bar, restaurant and ice cream counter. Kids loved the witbit and the play park. It is well maintained with basic kitchen facilities. Showers are hot all day, €1 for 6 minutes but it defo goes on for longer. I cant fault the place.
D. M.We have visited this site over 4 years and it keeps expanding. The new water park addition is fantastic but a bit pricey, although with covid all holidays and activities have risen in price significantly. The site although always very busy is never loud at night. I would like to see more improvement on the drainage as when it did rain it was quite mucky and puddles seemed to unable to drain away from around our caravan.
A. D.Great place to go for a weekend of camping. Great activities for everyone of all ages. Lazer tag was basic but great fun, the aqua park looked good fun while the playground was perfect for the younger kids. Facilities were great all round. Defo cant wait to head back down again.
D. M.This is a gorgeous place for every age. Plenty of things to do. Food was excellent in the restaurant. Could do with more benches around the splash park. Would recommend maybe doing the safety video before your hour starts. Still a lovely place
M. W.If your looking to connect with nature, this isn't the place your looking for. Can't really fault the facilities, but our pitch was covered with some litter which we had to clear and because of the number of people in the 'general' camping area, it was pretty noisy. The 10pm noise curfew didn't really work. Got quiet around midnight. If this doesn't bother you you'll probably quite like the set-up. Just not my cup of tea!
I. Q.Gets bigger and better every year. Campsite is a bit crowded. Facilities are brilliant. Water park is excellent. Decent restaurant. Beautiful Jubilee Loop walk near by (left of Rugby ground gate)
P. T.This is the best camp site I've been to in Ireland. This place is in a wonderful location, with a river meandering through it. We camped by the river, on a none electric pitch and it was great for paddling and quick dips to cool us down. This park has a load of activities, we did the mini golf and the aqua splash, and we had a ball. On site food was great and the staff were really nice. Should also mention that the weather was amazing and that really helps when camping 🏕️😀
C.Nice spot. Aqua park is great fun. Had a picnic after. Could do with some more tables outside. Gets very busy after lunch. Some more signage before the resort entrance, to let you know the aqua park entrance is further up. Overall a good experience. Cabins look nice.
G. E.This time we just visited the waterpark but have spent many an enjoyable time camping here as well. I went with two of my kids, and the fun we had was great after 18 months of Covid. We never stopped laughing the whole way through this course. It's so well managed and well worth the money. Prepare to make an abosulte fool of yourself but laugh your head off!
V. C.Second year at Hidden Valley camping, love the place. Stayed 10 days this year. However this year we decided to book evening meal in restaurant, disappointed!
Had to go as usual up to counter to order , no table service.
Food arrived within minutes , maybe 4 mins so NOT fresh cooked. For me personally my chips were cold but supervisor was so lovely couldn't say , my error I accept.
The takeaway was great and reasonably priced so used it few times
All in all again fantastic time.
Highly recommended for families.

S. C.We have been staying in the glamping units each year for the past 4 years. Units are always spotless and area around them kept very clean. Aquapark was once again this year great and the restaurant food and staff is excellent. The atmospere in the park has always been relaxed and very family freindly. This year for the first time we went to use the cooking area, very slow and out dated so some new hobs are really needed for people relying on using them.also i feel the playground could do with some shelters ,seating areas for parents. Ireland is a country with rain and this park does not accomadate people for any rain.younger kids play out on their scooters ect but we noticed our 11 year old was a bit bored this year in the evening hours..a games room or pool/ping pong table would be welcomed also i think. The climbing wall and trampoline area is in bits..needs to be cleared out and new area made as it looked abandoned.some areas needs a new lease of life if this park wants to keep people coming back....definitly seen parts here that improvements are needed..but have great memories of hidden valley and i will come back for a day trip for sure.

N. S.Family of 5 with kids aged 3, 10 and 14. Just back from 3 nights camping and loved it. Kids would happily spend all day in the park and lake. Toilets and showers were clean and constantly being cleaned throughout the day. The location is lovely with rivers flowing past the camping pitches. We ate at the Lake House and the Snack Shack and the the food was fairly priced.
Would have easily got 5 stars except for one draw back, only one toilet block and it's fair treck from the camping area if you have paid for an electric hook up, you're limited to certain area and they could really do with adding an extra toilet for those campers. But it's a minor inconvenience and we still had a great stay.

B. S.Stayed here for a few days and I have to say it was amazing. Very relaxed, loved every minute of it. Extremely clean, and the staff every single one of them were super nice and helpful. The guys in the splash Park were exceptional friendly professional and Fun. Couldn't recommend HiddenValley enough. Curfew was great too, no harm at all.

D.We done the christmas experience here last weekend....kids & adults both loved it....the lights & decorations were fab....the staff were brillant with both adults & kids..onsite restaurant great value for money & the food was very tasty....the elves & Santa made the experience magical...theres extra arts & cracfts or cinema or toboggan slide which can be paid onsite....wish they had some fake snow would have been perfect.....cant wait for next year

P. L.Great & Super well organized Camping Site. Special adapters for Electricity is needed. Ensure you're next to the river and not to the road towards Rathdrum as you can hear some trucks passing by in the morning. Very well cleaned facilities and covid friendly. Absolute high was the Aqua Park with Hot showers. Delicious food from the restaurant with even an Ice-Cream Shop & Friendly Staff. Super location & site with many activities for Families.

Lots for older kids to do, less so for younger with the exception of the very decent playgrounds.
N. E.Wet suits were wet, everybody getting changed in the same area, and the staff pumping the inflables while people were using the water park. Also me and my son and all guest left waiting for 20 mins in wetsuits that were already wet before they started the safety video.

J. C.I think it was a great place to go for a short holiday. I stayed for 2 nights witch I think was a good stay time but I recommend 3 nights. The activities where great the kaking and the paddle boats/swimming in the river/playing on water corse with was the best activity. The beds are comfortable if you say in a cabin and facility's were good. But slightly overcrowded which I thought was odd because of covid.

Hidden Valley is a fantastic campsite with unbelievable facilities. There is so much to do from the excellent playgrounds, Lazer tag, the aqua park, mini golf, boat rides, swimming in the river! The facilities were spotless with loads of sanitizing stations. We ate in the lake house restaurant on two evenings and the food was lovely, very reasonably priced too.
I had trouble unhitching my caravan and the maintenance man came straight over and sorted it out in seconds. All staff were really friendly and helpful.
We had a beautiful spot right beside the river. Although it was quite busy, there was no noise at night.
The village is only a few minutes away but it's up a very steep hill! We had a meal and drinks in the local hotel. Gorgeous food and really friendly staff. The Centra has everything you need. There is also a small corner shop 2 minutes walk from the site that sells all the basics plus wine! There's a little toy shop selling swimming rings etc for having fun on the river.
All in all an absolutely superb place to stay. The location is idyllic, beautiful woodlands all around. We went to a nearby adventure park Clara Lara for a few hours another day and that was fabulous too.
Our only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay🥰

P. C.Good site, lots for the kids to do, very busy and the check in for the glamping is 4pm. Not sure if this is the norm for glaming as this was the first time, but was very late for a check in. Overall I would go back.

K. M.We were so impressed with this park. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Our lodge was very clean and overlooked the lake. The glamping is more spacious than what it looks. The activities are superb. We were entertained for the 3 days we spent there and the kids didn't want to leave. We also felt so safe with their new guidelines for this year. The restaurant was fab and they did a great job keeping everyone seated and they were taking names etc at the door. We would highly recommend this place and the kids already asking if we can go back this year. Also we used the showers on site and they too were spotless. Fab place!

We have 3 kids ranging in age from 9/12/15 and they really enjoyed it especially the aqua park, such fun, we'll definitely sleep well after doing that. Campsite is very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return. Highly recommend Hidden Valley.
g. l.Spent 4 days camping here last week with family. (2adults 6kids) it was their first time camping and they had an absolute ball and can't wait to go again. Facilities where where great, toilets, showers,communal sink areas all kept spotlessly clean. Only let down was some dog owners allowing their pets to poo anywhere and not picking it up. Overall a great enjoyable few days away with and would certainly recommend this place for families looking for a staycation at a very good price. B.A great place for the family for camping or a Day out there at the Aqua Park,.....only bring your own food as the restaurant was not the best,very expensive and staff were not trained to get food out in one go,instead of bits and drabs coming out to the customers,waiting,....but otherwise we had a Ball.

S. B.We've finally found a place in Ireland that is as good as other European campsites. The park is so clean, great attention to detail, large pitches and spacious lodges. We stayed in the lodges and the beds were so comfy, which I wasn't expecting. The lake had various boats and the staff were sanitising everything. We felt comfortable using all the activities as the staff never seemed to stop cleaning. The waterpark was the highlight for us and we appreciated the discounted sessions since we were staying on site. The food at the restaurant was very good and we ended up eating here a couple times. The park has a beautiful setting and we really want to thank all the staff who were so nice and we felt so safe. We will be back and we'll be telling everyone about this super park.
M. D.Great place for a family break. I had heard stories that management are super strict with regards to sitting out after 10pm. But when we stayed here first week in july there was no. Really well managed and the facilities are spotless. Cleaners are on the go all day. And fair play to them I couldn't find any issues.
M. W.We stayed in a lodge with toilet/sink and it was perfect for our family. It was way more spacious than we had initially thought. The kids had so much fun and it was like sleeping in a tent for us without all the hassle! The weather was a bit mixed, but that didn't ruin the fun at all as everything is still open and we came prepared with our wet gear. The boating lake has a few different boats to choose from and the staff were very good and helpful. All the equipment was being sanitised and we were very happy to use all the facilities here. The restaurant food was enjoyed by us all and each morning we could get a takeaway coffee before it even opened for food. The waterpark was a great hit and my face nearly hurt afterward from smiling and laughing so much - what a great family activity. We can't say enough about the staff here! They have clearly been trained well. From the reception to the activities and the cleaners they were all so friendly and always asking if we were having a good time. We can't wait to visit again and even tried to book for next year already but they aren't taking bookings yet. It nearly feels like a smaller and better priced Center Parcs. We will spread the word as this place is an absolute must for families.
M. D.Very nice camp site! absolutely loved the grounds and activities. The time curfew is strictly enforced which is amazing for families with little children.
Things to note though-
1) Tent pitches with electricity have almost no grass on them.
2) There is no fridge on premises
3) The toilets... could be cleaner, or cleaned more often. We didn't try the showers.
All in all it's a very nice and recommended camp site with children!

M. G.Great facilities. Clean and lots to do, albeit expensive for activities. The aquaglide thing was great craic. Staff were friendly, but young and careless. No security until late, which was the biggest complaint. Advertised as curfew at 10 pm, but noise until 12.30 and 1 lap of a security guard. Kids cycling, scooting and running around shouting till this late. It was very busy when we stayed. Maybe our site location was bad. Hard to police, but for a family with small kids this was a deal breaker for me.

R. H.Fantastic! Wonderful with excellent friendly staff. Their Covid safety measures are consistent throughout the complex. All staff were face masks, there's hand sanitiser distributed frequently. They have managed to preserve the fun and apply sensible precautions at the same time. Well done!
R. J.Great family camping site. Lots of activities for the kids (and adults). Especially loved the kayaking, later tag and Splash Valley. The latter being our favourite by far. The site was filled with other families and our kids soon made friends. The site is also very dog friendly so it wasn't just the kids making friends! Would recommend this site to any family. Brittas beach, Glendalough, Powerscourt and many other forest walks are all a stones throw away if you fancy a trip away from site.
P. B.Great spot for the kids. Place is kept very clean. Staff patrolling in the evening to ensure sound levels are kept low. Unfortunately some people have no respect and caused disturbance late in the night.
J. F.Fantastic time here we arrived Monday 20th July for 2 nights in a glamping lodge,lodge was spotless clean and very comfortable and warm at night! Lots of activities for the kids to do and the splash valley obstacle course for the older kids/adults!

Bungie ropes and a splash aqua park lazer quest and crazy golf .it is a very well kept site with clean toilets and shower blocks . And laundry machines.. pitches are quite big all with own water and electric.. onsite restaurant with take away service and a snack bar .. plenty of hand sanitizer around the site brilliant place to stay..
P. R.Had a great couple of days at Hidden valley. We were in a campervan and all the right facilities were in place for our first spin out.
The aqua park was a huge hit for the kids and myself to be honest.
Showers and facilities were all clean and well maintained.
I will be back, maybe when it’s a bit quieter outside of the August peak season.
M. S.Hmmm... We went for the day to use the facilities. The kids love the inflatables, but there isn't much else for the older kids. The 12 hole crazy golf was OK,and the playgrounds looked reasonable. Not sure it would be enough to entertain kids on a week's holiday.

L. O.Best place ever!! I brought my two kids for the Christmas Island and it was great, all the staff are lovely very helpful, the toilets are about 2-3 min walk away depends where you are. When you ask reception they say 'there's a beach' and no... It's not a beach.. It's a load of dirt, but there are loads of activities for the kids, the houses are very smartly made. Defiantly coming back in the summer

E.The best campsite I've ever been to because it's the only campsite in Ireland I've been to. Once my family found this place it just became our every summer holiday. Can't wait to go back next week with friends and family, heard there is a new water park and restaurant (excited). Everything is just so great there, swimming, mini golf, walk/run around the forest, nice Centra shop up the hill which provides lovely chicken wings to bring back down to the campsite and fry them, a nice playground and cinema for the kids. There is only one fault at this campsite for me..... The football pitch is 😬 "BAD". I think I'm right in saying that probably over half the kids will play football at some point of their stay. The pitch needs to be improved. It's just hole after hole after hole and sand and dirt. Hope they renovate it at some point in the future. Everything else is great though and you definitely should go there if you're thinking about it.
D. O. M.Great amenities and all the staff are great. The new water park is really good although the lake water is freezing. The service in the restaurant is the only downfall. Very VERY slow. On 3 separate occasions we waited over 30 mins for our meals. It looked like the kitchen just couldn't cope which will be a problem when the busy summer comes along.

Santa didn't rush you in and out he took the time to chat to each child. Me as a parent I even enjoyed it. I will definitely be bringing her back next year. Thank you to all the staff.! H.Lovely location, paid for 2 days camping but was very busy and some campers take up too much space with extra huge gazeebo's and seating areas, which leaves very little spaces for others so left after one night. be aware of children speeding around on bikes and scooters also as we had a few close shaves with kids crashing into little children. Cafe food is average, Toilets and washing facilities are spotless.

(.Loved the place but this €100 deposit after full payment wasn't specified and we weren't prepared for it and then all these extra tokens for everything while we are paying expensive enough prices were a little too much especially with kids. But as a campsite it was above and beyond fantastic layout and spotless clean and the amenities were great. Would go back but more prepared for all the extra expenses next time. Staff were friendly but local shops not overly friendly.

Staff are very professional. The site itself is super, located on a gentle river in woodland.
We used a powered unit and staff helpfully froze our chiller for us. Parking is secure. The nearby village is cute but might be a tough hike uphill for the less mobile.
The on site amenities include spotless cooking and washing areas, showers (all must be paid for) and wcs. These are well maintained.
There are several drinking water areas and a cafe serving hot and cold food.
My only gripe would be the lack of proper recycling options considering its a camping area.
There are also water pedalos and kayaks for hire and plenty of kids play facilities too.
We were lucky we visited during the great weather.
I'd recommend this 100% ... particularly for families looking for a safe and friendly experience and who look forward to the strict 10pm noise curfew 😉
S. Q.What an awesome spot. Campsite is pristine, staff lovely & as a result this place seems to attract the friendliest people. Campsite shuts down after 10pm. Everybody is gone to bed. No loud parties or rowdy drinkers. Only thing that was a bit disappointing was the little activities in the park by the café. I presumed it would be run less like a theme park in the sense that they would at least get some decent time on the activities. This didn't happen but there is a really beautiful shallow river running through the whole place. This was ample entertainment for the kids & free. Overall well worth the visit & we will go back.

One thing I really didn't like was the food, it was poor quality and poorly cooked, it all went straight in the bin after a few unpleasant bites. When my 6 year old daughter turns her nose up at pancakes there's definitely something wrong. I'll be back but next time I'll be sure to cook my own food. It takes a little longer but at least I'll know it can be eaten.
A. T. H. G.Hidden valley is a paradise for families, especially those that like to be active. There are water sports that are fantastic for both young children,teenagers and adults. There's a combat lazer zone that my 3 sons loved also, the restaurant wasn't great as I had 2 very tasteless breakfasts there so I would be eating elsewhere next time.
J. S.Lots to like about the location and general facilities. Let themselves down by masses of uncollected rubbish in the bins area. Worst of all, the Wi-fi is apparently only available at reception, and that limitation is worse with COVID restrictions. Some of the prohibition signs make it seem as if the Stasi are in charge, but in reality, the the atmosphere was relaxed out of season.
C.Surprisingly well kitted out for Irish standards. Gets a bit tight with a caravan around the 12pm mark but fine otherwise. Could do with a few more activities to keep the older kids busy but a nice setting and lovely staff.

C. A. (.This is one of the best campsites that I have had the pleasure of staying at in Ireland. The location is excellent straddling both sides of a river just outside Rathdrum in county Wicklow. It is easily accessible from the M11.
The facilities for the kids are also top class with lots of activities, playgrounds and mini golf. The water park deserves special mention.
There are various types of cabins available to rent, pitches with electricity and the camping field where we stayed. There is a restaurant beside the water park and a take away beside the camping field. There is also a good Centra in the town for supplies.
There are movies for the kids in the evenings. I found the staff to be very helpful and they gave me a room to do a work call on the Friday evening we arrived.
Given the range of facilities it is very popular so book early.
N. S.Great place to visit. Rural, secluded bliss - cabin was very good, nice and warm, spacious enough and had adequate facilities.
Downsides were that the activities listed are not always available which is not made clear on their website. If there are not enough children then the activities won't run, so had to wait for a school group to attend / finish / leave before we could do them which the activity staff seemed to be slightly resentful about.
Also the cabin we were in had cladding falling off the walls and ceilings and a tv/DVD player which wouldn't play dvds.

B. I.We attended the Christmas Island experience which was well organised. There were plenty of activities with treats along the way for the children. Santa was really patient and engaged with the kids and used the facts we sent in a really natural way. The fact that he didn't have a real beard took away a little from the magic. Perhaps some better makeup/prosthetic beard might help that. The train ride was a bit disappointing with only pictures of fairies, some actors in the woods would lead to a much more magical experience however the train conductor was really brilliant and the train was fantastic although the journey was a bit short.
C. T.We were here for the Christmas Island experience with a 7 & 9 year old to see Santa. It was amazing. Santa knew all about the kids and what they had been up to. Magical. A beautiful place too. We'll definitely try and get back there in the summer but if it's anything as good as this it will be amazing.

J. M.Went Glamping here it is quiet expensive as u pay for ur stay then there's another €100 deposit which we were unaware of. Then it costs tokens for everything such as boats crazy golf trampoline climbing wall and they aren't cheap when u have multiple kids. But over all it is a beautiful area and spotless clean and always someone around to help brilliant facilities hobs, sinks to wash up, laundry area, showers which u pay for more tokens, and toilets which are cleaned nearly every hour. Besides all the extras we loved it and had our own Bar-b-que area with picnic bench and had a blast. Kids loved the river and wouldn't get out. So will be back.

P.Have not stayed here overnight although it on my list!! I know they have noise curfew which people don't always take kindly to but on experience this is the norm in most camp sites. Visited for the day with my son. Nicely contained, a lot on onsite activities for children, nice playground, kayaking facilities etc cost extra, food van, eating area. Driving past you could never imagine this little hive of activity. Worth a visit. Also only a short walk to the main street in Rathdrum and twenty minjte walk to avondale. Approx 20 min drive to arklow, 15 to wicklow town and 20 to brittas bay.
