R.My son and I visited Mitchelstown caves today.. fab experience.. we then happened across The Hunters Rest..spotless, really, really good food, great variety on menu, AMAZING portions, very well priced absolutely lovely staff v friendly helpful as were some customers we chatted with. Cannot recommend the Hunters Rest highly enough... don't pass their door.. Thank you for lovely meal in lovely atmosphere

A. B.Overall the place is nice and tidy and the menu is very diverse.
Unfortunately the food was lacking quite a bit: The lasagna was good and hot, but not very much salted or seasoned. The burger was looking very delicious, but the patty and the fries were not seasoned/salted at all and the patty was very greasy and tasted almost only like grease.
The staff was very friendly and no reservation was needed, which is always nice - especially on vacation.

A. H.This bar on the main street mitchelstown is beautiful. We were greeted at the front door and shown to our table, we were lucky as we had no booking. Our name and number were taken (contact tracing). We ordered our food and drink chicken stir fry and steak and of course a glass of Guinness or 2 ,beautiful. Dessert after lemon tart. Food beautiful and staff were so nice and friendly. All one way system, everything seems to run so smoothly.

C. S.It was, as always, lovely. Tis a pub/restaurant. Was quite busy but we'd no delay. I'd a mushroom omelette (stuffed with mushrooms) with chips. Absolutely fabulous. They do a lovely, creamy coleslaw also. The other diner had roast beef which he was very happy with. We didn't have drinks cos driving. Very happy with service also.

b. d.Lovely staff to start off couldn't be more pleasant. The food is only smashing, go here everytime we go to cork shopping. I had the black and white pudding for starter its a nice salad with a twist. Chicken curry and chips for main a bit spicy but delish. My partner had veg soup and chicken spaghetti which is a fillet of chicken on a bed of spaghetti with sauce and veg mix. Both were lovely. My 2 daughters had kids spaghetti and burger both finished there plate. It a lovely restaurant whichis separate from the bar which make you feel comfortable when theres kids with you. If your like me i dont like my kids in pub surroundings. A+++
