I've done a lot of personal research myself around gym work and I’ve learned and grown through 15 years of experience. My approach had been working very well for me and there was always progress. I felt I knew everything I needed to know. I believed this due to the personal training I’ve witnessed around the gyms I’ve been going over the years but that was until I was introduced to Caroline Corcoran from Phoenix Health and Fitness. Caroline made sure to get to know everything she needed to find out in order to be best equipped to train me. We talked about exercise and other topics from sleep, hobbies and interest. Although these questions were all focused on the training she was going to provide, the conversation and mood were very relaxed which made me comfortable to speak. I’m actually quite surprised at the detailed assessments and logs she keeps. Everything from body part sizes to body fat percentage. I know from feedback that most don’t go to this much length either because they are not bothered to put the time or else they simply are not qualified enough to know-how.
She understood my fitness goals tailored my workouts so I could reach them. She knew that I had decent experience already and I preferred a workout that would really test me and so it did. She took into account my experience in sports and how she could incorporate my knowledge there to help with the workouts. An important thing I noticed was that she wasn’t simply focused on improving my performance but also focused on improving my technique. I’m very limited with time nowadays and what I like about her sessions is that it teaches me how to work-out smarter rather than longer. Caroline even provided a meal plan tailored to my health and fitness goals. This included everything from recipes, portion sizes to an actual shopping list for me to use. The fact that the sessions are done in a private studio really gives you the freedom to workout freely and openly too. You’re never waiting for equipment or space because everything there is just for you. Additionally, you can scream, sweat and experiment in the freedom of privacy. I even got to play my own Spotify playlist to help me with the cardio part of the workout. The location is great and the views from the studios overlooking across the Howth Yacht Club are stunning. A good environment always makes it that little bit easier to work out.
Caroline truly cares about her clients and you can feel a real sense of support and willingness to go the extra mile for you. She doesn’t cut corners and is a person that has the utmost dedication to her art. She provides support even after workouts and is quite prompt to get back to messages, emails or phone calls. The fact that she’s also experienced at what she does goes a long way. I wouldn’t hesitate one second to recommend Phoenix Health and Fitness to any man or woman. It's worth every cent and more.
