Reviews of Le Chateau
P. M.
Le Chateau is the only bar on the main street of Cork City which is Saint Patrick's Street. It is one of the longest established bars in Cork and is always a really good place to visit. It has a very cosy and comfortable atmosphere inside and the outdoor seating area is great fun with so many people walking around the city centre
R. C. P.
Very nice hotel, great staff.
But its important not to get a room close to the rooms which the staff work from, getting linen etc etc as the noise is quite annoying of people walking all the time, even during the evening.
I will definetly be back but I will make sure my room is not at the end of the corridor like room 207.
All.in all I liked the hotel.
Really friendly people. Working there.

Excellent bar with top class staff. Definitely worth a visit! Great atmosphere in the heart of Cork City 👏

A well known Cork establishment located in the middle of it's main shopping street. A very pleasant place to take a break from shopping. They have a wide choice of beers and bar food here is excellent
K. O. C. (.
Great live music and good service but no dedicated smoking area so as non smokers we headed on.
J. F.
What can I say? This is a Cork Establishment at its finest! It is also a perfectly-kept secret: it is on the Main Street of the city that is called Patrick Street, but you go in there, and it is an elegant, old-style and well furbished spot that is perfect either for the weekend nights, an afternoon watching the sport of just if you merely want to take your legs off after a day of exploration! And the proprietor has never an ill word to say to his customers - in fact, he will always facilitate anyone's needs - as there is a rich range of beers and other drinks to choose from! Total Cork Boi!!

Friendly, comfy place to have a pint or a hot whiskey when it's cold
R. H.
Loved it... its a Real Bar as they should be. 👍

This pub is OK. The menu was limited, but the food wasn't bad. The only bad sign is the food doesn't come with chips. You have to pay an extra €2.50 for a portion of chips

Lovely warm and welcoming bar, the only bar on Patrick's street in cobh. I just stopped in for a couple of drinks but the food I saw pass me looked good. I heard people who had ate pass there thanks to the chef. And the staff were helpful, welcoming, chatty and polite.
B. S.
The best place in town to mind her bags while popping in and out of shops
P. B.
Nice looking old Irish bar with a excellent name in the centre of Cork, big choice of beers, also great selection of spirits. Interior lighting too bright for me to completely relax, that's just a personal thing, I prefer darker bars.

Traditional bar in the centre of Cork city. It is located on Patrick's street and has been there a long time. Well set out and stocked. Food is excellent also. If in Cork city we always drop in. Highly recommended.

One of the most iconic pubs in Cork. Many a happy pint I've had there over the years. Awesome staff and wonderful atmosphere...

Nice for a little coffee under the (rare) sun.
Have a look to the 20 signs saying "Toilet are for customers only".
They are everywhere and this pub will probably end up with a Guinness world record for that.
K. Y.
Nice pub, friendly staff, extensive choice of whiskey, gin and even no alcoholic drinks and beers, highly recommended👍
S. S.

Fantastic city centre bar, quiet but great atmosphere

Stopped in for a quick drink and loo break and had to stay for another.
Best whiskey sour I’ve had yet. Never thought of adding a lime and NOT on the rocks. Sublime.
It’s the little things that matter, owner said, big things will take care of themselves.
Don’t miss it.
B. N.
Fantastic service..comfortable seating..quality stout
A. B.
Last minute stop to grab an Irish Coffee. Mike was so friendly and helpful and even though they were closing up he let us stay and of course they had the BEST Irish Coffee. Stop in if you are ever in Cork.
C. L.
Absolutely fantastic, we didn't have food, so can't comment on that, we were 4 of us in rounds so about 30 to 35 euro a call
K. K.
Very warm and friendly family run bar with a great tradition in Cork. You will hardly find a place where you will feel more welcome, and the staff would go out of their way to find a table for you when it is busy.

Brilliant bar, a bit expensive, but very atmospheric. Mike behind the bar is a gem, they are lucky to have him 👍
