Our first bite upon arriving in Ireland and we were absolutely blown away. My fish and chips were incredible and my friend had the most amazing burger I’ve ever tasted. Bartender even took the time to draw designs into our Guinness and he was so friendly and welcoming. Marvelous experience, highly recommend.

The bar staff were very friendly. We enjoyed sitting with our pints of Guinness and taking in the atmosphere. We loved the choice of music. The food was good. We went two days in a row and the soup of the day on both days was coconut and mushroom... but we won't hold that against them.

Handy to the train station, for if you want a pint before braving the Irish Rail/Translink services....(I recommend alcohol so you aren't too worried about the delays). Nice wee pub, they do your typical Irish pub food etc. Prices are so-so....I.e. ok for Dublin, but extortionate for any other part of the country

Only place open near Connelly Station for a glass of wine or food that we could find. Great positive, service orientated Bar Tenders. My go to place while waiting for a train from now on. Interior beautiful and old fashioned. If walls could talk.

We came here only for the food and it didn’t disappoint us. As we entered the room with our baby in a stroller, everybody greeted and pointed to a corner of the restaurant where we’d stay without being in the middle of typical pub routine. My highlight was the fried cod on a bed of mashed potatoes while my wife had the Irish stew.

Stopped in for a quick pint while waiting on the train at Connolly Station. Super music playing in the background. It was with a heavy heart when it came time to leave. I didn't eat but the smells where great and the food that they brought out to other patrons looked terrific.

Very good selection of beers (hope, kinnegar, trouble, yellowbelly... all great breweries), and excellent location - right across Connolly train station. Eclectic crowd, decent music, and good/helpful staff. Food is ok, but slightly more expensive than in similar pubs.

Always a great place to have a drink. The staff are accommodating and friendly and the food is of a very good standard. Decent pub grub with top quality ingredients. Great banter after 10pm and if you just want a quick drink before a train departure from Connolly station then this is the place for you.

After a day of travel, your feet tired, your head spinning from sights and sounds, and just needing a place to rest with food and drink, get yourself over to Grainger’s. The menu changes regularly apparently, but for me the stew with a couple nice pints was all that was needed to feel right at home. The wait staff are friendly and good sources of local information. The prices, fantastic, and by being just outside the main tourist drags, it is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle. Many locals visit the place and are certainly welcoming and friendly as well. Whenever I find myself in Dublin, you can be sure I will be found at Grainger’s.

Great food and staff. We went here a couple of times as it's next to our hotel. I took off two stars because both times we were went in there was an issue with the atmosphere. First time we sat at the bar we were apparently at the place where they wash the glasses so there were knats all over though they stayed largely near the glasses thank God, the bar was packed so we couldn't move. Second time we sat away from that end closer to front, this time it wreaked of BO. Still recommend you try it at least once.

After another few strolls around the centre of Dublin, eventually the time came to drink and I was hungry and needed to fill the belly, and there really is only one pub I know that serves great food with a good pint in a nice relaxed atmosphere. Graingers Bar on Talbot Street. Near both the national bus and train Station this bar always has good food on offer. Great friendly service and a good way to start my Guinness bar crawl. In fact the Guinness was so good here it was very tempting to go all out and have a few, but I didn’t and just had the one. One of my favourite bars for a quiet pint and some food. Recommended.

Open from morning until evening, you can eat when you want and drink when you want no live music. Wi's available. For everything else there is Mastercard.
