M. M.Absolutely fantastic experience. Delicious craft beer and excellent recommendations of same. The food was out of this world. The Nashville chicken burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The garlic parmesan fries also divine. Service was exceptional. Was able to book a table online which was so handy. 5 stars all round.
C. O.Visited Caribou last week with my girlfriend. First off, the staff are super friendly and helpful. They made excellent suggestions on food and cocktails. The food we both ordered was delicious, as were our drinks, and the selection of beers on tap is really good also. The restaurant/bar has a very warm and relaxed atmosphere. Can't say enough good things about this place.
Will definitely revisit next time we are in Galway.

Small patio for smoking. Very impressive array of Irish craft beers and a great selection brought in from abroad--a real haven for beer enthusiasts. It's been easy to lose a lot of hours here since they opened!
P. B. E.The best burger I've ever had! I recommend the breakfast burger with egg, bacon and sriracha sauce, and the truffle fries. The barman recommended the Trespass Farmhouse Ale which went really well with the food. I then rounded up the whole thing with a coffee stout which was excellent. Fantastic place, so far my favourite foodie spot in Galway. It deserves 8 stars out of 5.

The only downfall of our experience was being asked to share the bench we booked with more customers.. we were absolutely baffled by this.. after saying no we felt like we had annoyed the host. I work in hospitality and was so confused by this request, Caribou's only downfall is not being strict with current regulations

Close to the center and major tourist attractions of Galway, the Caribou conquered me with the simplicity of its accommodations and undoubtedly the indisputable flavor of its sandwiches and snacks. It is well worth knowing this amazing place.

I.Ate here to eat with my boyfriend, It was my first time experiencing Caribou so I wasn't sure what to expect only I heard from a friend they did really good burgers. We first arrived to a busy atmosphere, not sure if we had to wait to be seated or grab a table ourselves we asked a barman if we could be seated and they looked for a clear table. There were none so we had to sit at the bar and handed us a menu each. They were very quick to get our orders which was nice as there isnt a huge variety on the menu and its easy to make a decision. We waited about 15 - 20 minutes for our food. It did seem like a while but they were hectic as it was dinner time. I got the Steak Sambo which was excellent, it had great flavour and the blue cheese gave it a unique taste but it was great! The only flaw about it I was it was a bit colder than the rest if the food. (My boyfriend got the B.O.B burger and Handsome house fries) His food was much more warmer than mine and I think it was the cold salad in my steak sambo that made it colder. It would have made a great lunch also. Also all the food provides is locally sourced and handmade daily which is a nice bonus.
There was a huge selection of craft beers and many that I hadn't heard of before but looked great. It would be a place to visit as a group to try the different beers and play some board games they offered.
The staff were very friendly and also apologised for the wait for the food. They had good knowledge of the different beers and seemed to enjoy working in this laid back atmosphere.
I would recommend to ring the restaurant before hand if you are planning to eat out here or even meet here as a group for drinks IF you want nice seating. It can be hit or miss when entering to get a table to yourself as a lot of people do end up eating at the bar which isn't ideal for most people and a few if the tables were reserved.
It can be a little pricey as chips/fries do not come with the meals and you must order them separately which can add up but they do give good portion sizes and the chips can easily be shared.
Overall its a great place that fits right in with Galway. I will definitely be back to try their vegetarian Bhaji!

H.Caribou is a hipster heaven, the decor is an eclectic mix of vintage pieces, with cosy couches and low lighting (too low sometimes, we had to use a torch to play a boardgame one evening 😂). the atmosphere is so laid back, the bar staff are very knowledgeable on the selection of craft beers, and are happy to help you make a selection. The winner for us though is the chest of board games provided, and the fact that they come round with free crisps and sweets for customers, it's just such a lovely touch! I've heard the food is lovely, but I haven't tried it yet!

Staff were friendly, great selection of beers, only tiny drawback was that unless you'd reserved a couch or table, you won't get a place to sit, which meant there wasn't a lot of room for walk-ins. Aspall cider is 5.60, while it's 5.20 across the street in McGinns. Founders Breakfast stout is 6.50 for, well is it 33cl or 3/4 pint? That's 5.00 or 5.50 in the Swagman, Sligo. Same goes for La Chouffe. Still, a good pub.

W. D.Great Pub in Galway- Modern feel, similar to American Tap Houses. One of the best rotating taps I’ve come across in Ireland. Friendly staff, and an amazing menu. I’m sad that the Koren-Style kimchi Burger was a limited-time special, but their other foods are just as good.
Barely wines, special releases, lambics, and a good selection of Irish craft beer make this place stand out. This is one of the only places in town that have the stuff on hand to make a decent Bloody Mary ($9).
A bit darker than other bars (at least in the evening) and a bit cozy with about 20 seats at the bar(s) and 10 tables, so it fills up fast. Generally this is a an older college - 30ish crowd, as people come here to enjoy the service as opposed to a heavy night of drinking.
Note also that this bar does not have live music- you’ll want to visit for the beer and the food alone.
