T. M.We had such a great night here recently listening to some amazing musicians, with a lovely atmosphere and plenty of Guinness. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Galway who's looking for a traditional and authentic music night in a friendly pub.
D. H.A great place to go for trad music in Galway! The only trick is to get there a bit early, especially on the weekend, because they fill up fast. Music usually starts at 9:30, and the upstairs is sometimes full by 9.

R.We came here when they were playing traditional irish music upstairs, so it was very cool. The place is very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The barmen are very nice. It's the place to be if you want to listen to some Irish music !

N. H.Most authentic pub I went to in Galway. This is the spot I searched for. The locals fill the small pub up in a very cozy but still comfortable way. Some locals conduct a talented jam session in the corner while a bartender serves pints and other beverages. They'll have a game on and its quiet enough to talk to your neighbors.
This is a great spot to relax. My group chilled here for a couple of hours and everyone enjoyed it.
C. A.When I went there, a group of musicians where saying goodbye to one of them (he will leave the country to Brazil). They were playing lots of different instruments, dancing and singing. Of course all the pub participate when the songs where knew. It was a happy and sad moment but it will be a very memorable souvenir to me.

Under the present landlord it has become famous over the years as for traditional music of all kinds with regular sesiuns in the bar and a more formal venue upstairs for 'concert' performances. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to enjoy the music and a great pint of porter!

B. A.Fantasic Irish trad sessions! I went to the Crane Bar with three other friends, I imagine seating might be tough for a group larger than 6 to sit together. We came in around 9:30 on a Saturday night and grabbed a spot by the door. I asked the bartender when music would start and he told me that it would begin around 10pm in the upstairs bar. The bar filled up quickly between 9:30 and 10. Once the upstairs opened, we grabbed a spot between the bar and stage and enjoyed the music! Bartenders were great as well.
A.Best Guinness in Galway, genuine traditional Irish music too (not fake tourist stuff). Great to go if you just want to chat in a social environment. The community pub.
L. W.True Irish experience! We were visiting from Boston and had gone to many pubs that were catering to Americans. We didn't go to Ireland to hear covers of American music. So we were delighted to hear traditional Irish music!

Serve on of the best pints of Guinness I had. Great spot if you want to listen to some Irish music, the only thing is, if you talk while theyre playing the music , you will get awful stares and people will ''shush'' you, so not a great pub if you wanna have the craic .

Un bon pub situé dans un quartier discret.
Le lieu est vraiment sympa pour écouter des artistes qui chantent de la musique traditionnelle irlandaise. Le concert avait lieu à partir de 21h30.
Il y'a une très bonne ambiance, les gens se parle facilement ici.
Les barmans sont sympas.
Un des barman parle bien français d'ailleurs. C'est plus facile pour commander car il y'a pas mal de choix en boissons notamment des whisky local. Des whisky fumé du Connemara.
Il ny'a pas de service à table, il faut venir se servir soi-même au bar.
La bière est très abordable, le prix est pratiquement moitié moins cher qu'en France.
En décoration, il y'a beaucoup de tableaux, notamment de Jack Taylor un acteur connu en Irlande.
Les toilettes homme ne sont pas propres.
