Lovely settings for afternoon tea 😊

We held a large dinner dance there in Feb 2020 .Excellent venue and all our guests were so well looked after. The rooms very fabulous, very spacious. Dinner & Breakfast were excellent. The staff were so friendly and efficient, couldn't do enough for us. We had a fabulous time. We will return to this great hotel. Thank you all so much.

The hotel has a wonderful facade and ground floor! Considering the history of this building, the rooms suites the character of the hotel. It was built in 1780's and still has this majestic feeling. The staff was wonderful and very caring. The only thing that you need to consider is the heating- it was extremely hot during the night. Otherwise, I would give 5 starts.

Myself and my husband got married here on 06.03.2020. We could not recommend Celbridge Manor enough... Caroline was incredibly helpful and exceeded our expectations for our wedding day! Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were really helpful and friendly... All our guests were very impressed with the food and service for our wedding dinner and for breakfast the following morning and with the accommodation! We have a 2 year old son and from meetings to the big day all the staff were brilliant with him!! Excellent value and even better service! Thank you to Caroline and all the staff at Celbridge Manor for making our wedding day perfect... Therese, Gary and our son Donncha...

Nice big rooms, great baths. Spotlessly clean. Attentive staff. Great breakfast.

The grounds are lovely, and the food is delicious. If you like a firm mattress, you will likely be pleased. I am partial to a softer mattress and so ended up taking the twin-sized bed rather than sharing the king-size bed with my husband the second night of our stay as it was easier on my back and shoulder. The drainage in the shower was a bit slow, however the bathtub drainage was perfectly fine. The deep soaking tub and steaming hot water were exquisite for soaking. It is a pleasant place to recover from jet lag after a trans-Atlantic flight.

This is a very nice hotel. The food is fantastic, chicken wings are delicious. My room was very big and had a double and single bed. 2 small issues the bed was very noisy and no water provided in the room. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
W. C.
Good food, reasonably priced and good service. Was there lunchtime on a Saturday which meant the bar got busy and noisy during the break from an Irish dancing competition being held. If a group of you meeting, family lunch etc., might be worth checking if any functions on that day.

Nice hotel. Nothing overly remarkable about the rooms. The staff were very friendly but really seemed under pressure and unsure of how to cater for a wedding group. They got the job done but they were Rocky enough. For example, we got the potatoes and veg after we had beautiful fish eaten. Lovely bar and they served as long as we wanted.

From the moment you drive up the drive way and enter the manor you are transported into another era.
I'm reminded of "Escape to the Chateau " or "Downtown Abbey "
The bedrooms are beautiful and very large. The food and wine is outstanding and the staff are very friendly and make you feel so at home.

Good place

I m was expected be worse but is quite and nice place to stay , the rooms very big and surprisingly bathroom with in middle bath which is very good for couples 😉 , we got a package and food was excellent the only I can recommend for management is to look for future 2 two thinks there’s is no choice for vegans , food is very limited, that be for hotel benefits, the second there no charging point for electric car , this more important you must have installed electric charge even the domestic is not that expensive, you will get more costumers . Hope management looking my review, thanks

Absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. Great spacious rooms, good looking bathroom. And the food at the restaurant was very good as well.

Was here for the day meeting up with some friends. Had a lovely little corner to ourselves in the lobby. Great relaxed place for a coffee and a chat. The staff we interacted with were friendly and courteous. Even though we were in the one area for a good chunk of the day we never felt like we were unwelcome.
M. G.
Myself & a couple of friends spent a lovely evening at the hotel recently. The Staff were very friendly & looked after us very well. They made a very special effort for us & we enjoyed delicious food with teas & coffees. We will be back again in the near future. 😀

Great value for money and serve a good pint. The rooms are clean and very spacious. My only criticism would be that the food was a little disappointing but look on the whole it was grand and a stones throw from Dublin...if you're driving!
S. W.
The grounds are beautiful. The hotel is spotless. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I attended a wedding here and the attention to detail was amazing.

Lovely grounds. Great location

Beautiful Georgian Manor House built in 1737, converted into a welcoming, friendly hotel. Even the standard rooms are spacious, with roll-top baths and separate showers in the bathroom. Breakfast was very generous, buffet-style, with courteous staff. Lots of little chill-out spaces around the building and courtyards.
E. C.
Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. Just had a drink but will b back to try the food. Lovely atmosphere.

First visit to this beautiful Hotel. Lovely place. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food. So cosy and homely. Spacious and clean rooms. Definite visit again.
M. R.
We weren't the easiest guests but the staff were always friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent too. The staff were definitely what made the stay for us as everyone was so nice.
C. O.
Lots of refurbishment has taken place at the Celbridge Manor hotel. Looks great. We had Sunday carvery. Tasty and reasonably priced. Very nice staff too. Worth a visit if you're in the area.
F. C.
Room was good, comfie but the decor needs improvement. Bar staff need go be better trained, food is of good quality. Investment in both the hotel & the staff training would bring this hotel back to what it once was, a luxury hideaway
M. A.
Lovely bar and restaurant. Food is very good. The staff are very helpful and friendly. A pity there was no heating on as it was a cold evening.
K. D.
Beautiful hotel in Celbridge. The grounds are keep very well with plenty of parking. The decor is very tasteful and there is a real luxury feel when you walk in. We used a function room and had tea coffee and pastries. All very well presented and very nice. Would recommend here for corporate meetings.
C. D.
Lovely hotel helpful staff and very spacious rooms. Complimentary Christmas desserts for all. Good session in the Bar really enjoyed our gathering
m. l.
We spent our anniversary here. It was an amazing time. Staff as always were superb especially Sheila. She really looked after us and our friends for dinner and drinks. Room was gorgeous thanks to everyone for a great and memorable time. We can't wait to return to see everyone again.

Home away from home. Am going back next weekend. Great food. Great sleep
N. D.
Stayed here for two nights in a family room midweek and from we checked in till we checked out it was spot on, we were very well catered for, we had breakfast and evening meals for the two days there and the staff were good and very helpful with requests for the two lad's{5&3}. Would definitely return again. 👍

Place was fine, but water in the shower kept running hot and cold. Breakfast wasn't great. We showed up an hour before breakfast ended and a lot of the food had run out and hadn't been replaced. However the bar food the night before was nice. Four of us had each something different and it was nice.
F. M.
Stayed here for a wedding. Rooms were clean and good sized. Food was very good. Bar Service was excellent. All round nice relaxing place to spend a weekend.
R. M.
We had the afters of our daughter's christening in the Celbridge Manor and I have to say the food and staff were fantastic. The staff were extremely efficient and friendly and nothing was any trouble for them. They set the tablet as per our request and it looked great. We had a great day and in terms of price it was extremely reasonable. The Celbridge Manor has made a repeat customers out of me.
R. Y.
Rooms are decent and staff are friendly.
As a local, I stayed there once with a voucher. We were originally given the wrong room, but had it sorted within a couple of minutes with no hassle.
D. F.
Had our staff Xmas party here. Great food, friendly and professional staff. The Casino night theme was good fun, we really enjoyed the whole evening. Thanks, we'll be back.
B. M.
Absolutely beautiful hotel and Caroline, event manager was so professional and friendly, a great place to have a wedding and other events. Fantastic rooms, beautiful stately decor. Highly recommended!
J. L.
Class old Manor House beautiful kept and presented, however bar service on the night I was there was shocking on a management level. Just one night so most likely a blip. I'd definitely visit again.
R. C.
Looks stunning from the outside. A little dated on the inside. Decent enough for a night although I was glad a brought ear plugs as the walls are pretty thin! Decent WiFi as well . Breakfast was extra so I didn’t bother.
A. O.
Didn't stay in the Manor but I was out to visit their wedding open day, I would say its high on our list. This place is very beautiful in so many ways. The walk/drive in is stunning to say the least
c. m.
Lovely hotel, comfortable bed and pillows, nice and quiet. Good breakfast, self service, plenty of choice on offer, food was a little on the cool side otherwise very nice and relaxing. Lisa at reception was very friendly and helpful and helped us make the decision to extend our stay for another night.
B. M.
Nice robust and elegant hotel with a big garden... but a bit outdated inside/ outside, still has a beauty. We had nice photoshoot there thanks
k. s.
Evening meal was average, steak was OK but the duck was tough and overcooked. Breakfast buffet was very nice as were all the staff. The grounds and the rooms were very spacious and clean.
L. N.
Great staff, nothing was too much trouble, so friendly, fab food, we were there on a Pigsback deal of dinner and breakfast, would highly recommend the Beef medallions and my partner had the Lamb rump, delicious, breakfast was buffet with plenty of choice, will be back there soon
D. K.
The building and grounds were outstanding! We stayed in one of the Heritage Rooms, and it was stunning. Very intricate details throughout the entire building. Within walking distance to "downtown".
M. D.
Here we have a piece of History in the centre of Kildare. This iconic hotel is old fashioned yet clean and has kept its unique identity throughout the ages. The customer service is excellent the food is excellent the people are a friendly professional and always willing to help. The estate is tranquil and presents an antique feel in a modern society. I would definitely stay here again!
R. W.
Nice hotel food good but staff a little slow serving in the bar
t. o. b.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent and they always make sure you are well attended and looked after
G. O.
Had lovely scones and tea in a quiet corner. Very relaxing. Also had the spinach soup which was enjoyed
M. W.
I go here quite regularly for business meetings. It's a lovely hotel, easily accessible, plenty of free parking. Food is always good. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the coffee - not great
D. W.
Turned up in motorcycle gear a few hours before official check in time.... fantastic receptionist was most welcoming and organised our room to be finished ASAP.
Room was fine but the real treat was just how good the food was.... probably the best steaks we've ever been served after a couple of top class starters.
The Guinness was great and the service from a guy called Roman was spot on.
Can't comment on breakfast as we left early to catch a ferry.
So good I'll be bringing my wife next time
Х. Л.
Spacious and clean room, good breakfast, nice drink bar and kind staff. Room service woke me up at 8:15 by getting to the room without knocking on the door first. Make sure you don't keep your room access cards near mobile phone, otherwise demagnetize itself and stops working.
k. s.
Nice place , staff and food top notch , menu a bit limited , breakfast was nice. Rooms are huge, all in all pleasant stay
S. O.
Very friendly staff. Gorgeous grounds and very easy to access. Food is very tasty especially the chicken wings !
C.
Really enjoyed the food we had 3 courses late on friday night and it was lovely...breakfast was also great next morning and staff are super friendly...
We paid 140 for 1 night with dinner and breakfast included...there was also 2x glasses of prosecco included...
We stayed on the second floor and we could hear the music from the function room that was a bit annoying..the music stopped around 1 AM...
The rooms are spacious and bathroom was large with super stand alone bath and separate shower..
The hotel could do with a bit of TLC especially in the rooms. cracked tiles, loose fixtures very small things that any handyman could sort out..
Apart from that we had lovely stay.the bed was large and comfy, food great with super friendly staff...would stay there again and would hope that bar would stock some zero alcohol wines..
S. M.
Nice clean in a grand building. Bathroom was a bit tired, but a good shower. Pleasant staff and a good bar with food downstairs. About 15 minute walk into Celbridge town center.
C. M.
The staff very pleasant especially Sarah and the accommodation excellent my husband and I will definitely be back thank you so much
J. L.
Lovely place to stay, food was good. Service from the staff was excellent!
F. F.
Amazing and fantastic place to stay in, it is our second time here. The rooms are gorgeous and spacious. The decor really rich and beautiful.
C.
Not a bad hotel, rooms are very old fashioned
S. H.
Fabulous location. Bedrooms are of a high standard. Breakfast buffet style which was warm and plentiful. Staff very friendly.
E. C.
Function room was decorated beautifully, lovely venue, nice finger food
D. C.
5 star lovely old building. Need some air con for top floor when so warm. Breakfast was lovely.
L. B.
Lovely setting. Lovely staff. Great history
D. H.
Brilliant evening in the steakhouse food and drinks excellent
L. W.
Venue was good. Service was very poor. Not enough staff. I asked for four teas and was handed four cups and saucers a pot of tea,and no milk. When I asked for a tray to bring the tea to the table I was told that there were none available.
G. R.
I stayed here midweek. The reception staff were very pleasant and friendly. The room i am in is very big the furniture is basic the bath is a lovely free standing bath. The staff stored my cycle safely overnight for the three nights i have stayed i left too early each morning to sample the breakfast 06.30. The bar meals i had were tasty well presented and reasonably priced as far as hotels go. There are plenty of seating areas throughout the hotel. All on ako a very pkeasant stay.
D. H.
Beautiful old world Hotel , nice and warm good food :
D. F.
Lovely hotel, staff are all very friendly, would definitely recommend
M. K.
Staff very nice but very slow behind the bar. Rooms absolutely spotless and very comfortable but if u coming down after 10am for breakfast your going to be queueing for breakfast and 1 girl trying to clear tables get teas/coffees and listen to all complaints. No management viable. For a 4 star hotel reception entrance not very clean or well maintained and a smell of smoke.
S. M.
Dinner was amazing, lovely staff and beautiful hotel
D. L. K.
Lovely hotel. HUGE room. Heating was a bit high in the morning and woke us up but it would of been a cold night so I can understand. Would recommend.
P. M. M.
Nice place. Food menu a bit limited for evening meals. Breakfast made up for it. Incredible showers 😂
D. B.
I have stayed here on 2 occasions whilst working in Kildare as it's only a 15min drive into work.
I have stayed in the historic room and the regular and I preferred the regular room, it was bigger and warmer with a better TV and there's not that much difference between the two apart from price (historic more expensive)
The price for the regular room is reasonable - they do fluctuate quite a lot sometimes cheaper to stay elsewhere.
This review is for my latest stay in the regular room.
The bed was comfortable, room was clean - it is a big room. There was sufficient place for me to work. Bathroom is lovely with a roll-top bath and the shower is amazing!
There's not many TV channels at all in either rooms...
Breakfast is good with a good selection and they will make something for you if you don't want the buffet, I had porridge and boiled eggs.
I ate in the bar at night, the food was very nice, not much choice if staying a week or so but very nice - I really enjoyed the fish, chicken and steak! not to mention the desserts :-) There are 2 lovely ladies serving meals in the bar - I unfortunately didn't get their names but they were wonderful!
All in all, I will stay here on every business trip if the price is right.
Not much to do in the little town but if you have a car there is a lot near by to see and do
M. G.
Lovely hotel great for weddings friendly staff good food great dance floor
T. Z.
Bar and reception are nice. We organized birthday here and was very relaxing, nice setting and good helpful easy-going staff
M. T.
What I imagine castle living would be like. Very detailed decor and architectural right down to the cold chill in every room. Friendly and accommodating staff, with the Irish brogue I thought was specific to television. Perfect place to stay if your in the area, make sure you get a lower level room if you want to keep warm
M. S.
The Celbridge Manor Hotel is a grand old manor that has been converted into a hotel and meeting room. It's spacious enough to accommodate up to a large wedding. The grounds are well kept and attractive. Plenty of parking is available to handle the visitors.
The bar was large and willing to be of help in any matter, including making iced tea.
We came to stay the night while touring Ireland. The spaceous room came with two large beds, the usual dresser, chair, table, TV, and bathroom with a shower, claw-foot tub, sink, and toilet.
The main reason for the 3 star rating is the beds. They were simply awful, with no cushioning on top. The springs could be felt in every spot on both beds. This was totally unexpected from such a venue. Hopefully, the Cellbridge Manor Hotel will step up to improve the sleeping situation and become a 5 star hotel.
m. h.
It's very beautiful and romantic place. It's a castle. The people are very friendly and it's not expensive.
The breakfast is very good.
C. E.
Super morning having lovely scones and coffee here Gerry our waiter was so pleasant Thank You Celbridge
M. J. V.
Absolutely love this hotel! We recently had our wedding here and it was just sensational. The hotel and their events coordinator Caroline went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect and ran smoothly. I also cant speak highly enough of their food which is simply amazingly delicious. I highly highly recommend this hotel for events or just to visit dublin, celbridge and the surrounds. Lovely 😁
A. G.
Very nice hotel in a beautiful building from the XVII sec. The room was big and the bed was confy. I recommend.
S. C.

D. S.
Had a great relaxing weekend lovely food and friendly staff.
R. S.
Large comfortable rooms with Nespresso machine in it; soaking tub plus shower and a restaurant and bar on premises. Reception desk open late (24?). Staff most helpful ! They really made my vacation. Room service available (5 euro charge) and the breakfast daily downstairs is included.
S. R.
Had not been in Celbridge Manor Hotel in a few years, won't be rushing back, went in for some bar food it was not great at all ! Prawns were very poor, nice chips that's about it.
T. K.
Positive experience, however still some teething problems. Lovely entrance now -- great improvement . New layout inside is a great improvement. Unfortunately the food took too long to arrive. Overall good experience.
S. /. f.
Stunning location and a beautiful building. Furnished 100% style and reasonably priced for what your getting.
I'll be back!

A nice hotel just outside Dublin.
Very friendly staff who helped starting our car after our battery died.

Sadly they had the builders in but I guess the work has to be done sometime.
A fabulous old building with some wonderful architectural & character features.
Food good, staff great, beds not so good.
This is an old and very big hotel; don't over think or expect - it's worth the money.

Oasis
M. K.
Very nice place room was lovely but for the noise that started early in the morning like a road sweeper. Breakfast service wasn't very good either
M. G.
Definitely the best hotel I have stayed in! The hotel itself is beautiful but the staff are extraordinary! Can't wait to visit here again very soon! !!
A. M.
Somewhat muted colours but a lovely cosy 'great house' which would be particularly lovely in summer given the quite extensive gardens & grounds. Good pub grub, quite roomy public areas & helpful staff. Did not stay in the hotel nor eat in the restaurant but the general ambience suits a period-style property.
M. N.
Very beautiful! This was probably the nicest hotel we stayed at in Ireland. The building is huge and very beautiful, the rooms and large, and he beds are comfortable.
B. F.
Wonderful weekend, attended a wedding the staff were so helpful in all aspects 😘😘

Absolutely first class hotel. From the time of booking, to the time of our departure, the service was excellent and staff were friendly yet very professional. Lovely hotel.
J. K.
Final edit/update: checked out this morning and a different woman was there and very apologetic. She seemed very surprised that the sound made the floor vibrate and the windows shake a bit. She comped a meal we had, a nice gesture, but I appreicated the fact that she seemed to care more than the overnight person.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Easy to find, staff are nice, breakfast is good, water pressure is nice (claw foot bath was nice), but be careful about what days you book. Their event room is directly underneath a lot of rooms on the first floor and the events they have can go until midnight (we didn't see any events posted online before we booked our stay). They are loud and you can feel the floor vibrate from the sound system. When I went down to ask about the noise, the front desk said they couldn't change our room and sorry. Disappointing end to our stay here.
I wanted to add a note that it'd be nice if the staff could have forwarned us of the event when we checked in. A simple "I see you'll be here for *insert event name here*, you're welcome to join/tickets cost $X, but it goes until 12am." I don't know how common middle of the week events are, but having ear plugs on hand to offer would be nice. You can also feel the springs in the mattress, so getting a good night's rest hasn't been easy; but that just might be what all beds in Ireland/UK are like.
S. M.
Beautiful hotel ,staff were friendly and the wedding weekend was fabulous
A. G.

There was a really nice refurb done on this hotel. I haven't stayed but the food is nice and I would recommend the afternoon tea in the drawing room.

Really nice hotel, really cosy, nice big room and beds, only critic would be the rooms could do with a bit of modernization
N. S.
I don't even know what to criticize about.

Went for brunch on 26th June. Venue is nice but menu is limited. Various items were unavailable and I was overcharged (full breakfast price 9.95 as per menu but was charged 14.95). Not acceptable.

Lovely big room, nice breakfast but unfortunately big bowl of porridge very thick

It's pretty dated inside and not as nice as their website makes it seem. The hallways are pretty dirty and the doorways scuffed and dirty. The staff was helpful though.

First class accomodation, spacious room, quiet rural setting close to town, olde world charm with all modern conveniences. Superb breakfast, friendly inobstrusive staff. Will stay there again. Excellent location, close to Dublin, an escape from the hustle and bustle and noise, but convenient for a morning appointment in the city.

We stayed at Celbridge Manor from July 20th thru July 30th, 2014. We had 5 people in our party / 2 rooms. Celbridge Manor is much more than a hotel! Everyone on the staff is friendly, helpful, caring and knowledgeable. The manor is clean, beautiful and full of history. While we were there, we made lots of friends at the nearby Village Inn. The village is within walking distance and there is also a taxi company in the village that was always available to take us around the neighboring counties. We toured Castletown, which is also located in Celbridge village. We rented a car during our stay, but we noticed that the bus system drove into Dublin everyday. It's the perfect place to relax. We highly recommend that you stay at Celbridge Manor Hotel!!!!

Carpet throughout the building.
Very correct restoration.
The bar is very pleasant with a cozy atmosphere.
The bedrooms are spacious.
The bathroom is well equipped with a shower and a bathtub normally it is one or the other.

(Translated) I seem to have entered the set of the film weddings & 1funerale, of the hotel where the two protagonists meet ... very beautiful, refined and clean.
The rooms are very large and with huge and comfortable beds. The bathroom has a very charming antique bath and minimal furnishings.
Big disappointment is the breakfast with fried eggs strasode and the whole cold buffet. Bread and croissants finished quickly and never replenished. Another disappointment is tea, already prepared and therefore as if it were there at dawn. The absence of hot milk is serious.
So stanza👍 breakfast 👎
(Original)
Quindi stanza👍colazione 👎

(Translated) The rooms are very spacious. The bathrooms too. But the various loose or broken floor tiles would have to be replaced. And the pressure in the shower leaves much to be desired. But you can still feel good.
(Original)

(Translated) We stayed three nights at this hotel at the conclusion of our Irish tour. Definitely one of the best. Friendly staff, spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. We also had dinner on the first evening in the internal pub: average, good typical dinner.

(Translated) For 4 stars we were a little disappointed ...
There are several places in the hotel that should be fixed: dead flies on the wall, carpeting bulging, broken tiles ...
We booked our room at the “bargain price” of 90 €, I don't think the full price is justified! The room was very nice and big, but decorated carelessly. We were also promised our room “with a view”. (See pictures)
The breakfast buffet was positive, which was very hearty :)
(Original)

(Translated) Great first impression, but the rooms have the best days behind them and could do with a modernization / renovation.
For a price of 120 EUR / night in my opinion overpriced.
The food seems quite good, but keep away from the pizza - definitely frozen pizza (12 EUR).
(Original)
