P. G.Think I just died and went to Food Heaven. First time to dine out in Athlone in a year and it was worth the wait! The food was absolutely delicious. Amazing combination of flavours. We were treated like 🤴Kings by all of the staff. They even marked the upcoming occasion of my birthday with a candle and dessert. It was a complete delight.🥰

O. B.Just had our dinner here today. We will most definitely be back! Staff are fantastic! The restaurant is so clean, warm and inviting. The decor is beautiful. They really keep to covid regulations which is really reassuring. Now the food. It is absolutely gorgeous! Myself and my husband had the steak with the jus. We also had the onion and parmasean mash. My son had the goujons and we robbed some off him because they were just amazing! We had the doughnuts and the chocolate fondant for dessert. We are so looking forward to going again! Thank you.

We were a group of 8 from almost every corner of the world. There was kind of a consensus: Nice starters, great entrees and mediocre dessert.
They really need to work on their dessert options and quality.

M. C.Really nice setting and the opaque windows are a nice touch. Food was fantastic. Really high quality and amazing drinks menu. One of the best espresso martinis I have had. My only gripe was it felt a little rushed for the price. We were in and out in an hour as food was brought down almost instantly. We were given bread and 5 minutes later butter knife was taken away.... That being said we were a later booking on a sunday but I would have preferred to be able to enjoy the experience a little more.

Food: Food was amazing. Black pudding bon bons - a particular favorite!
Service: Best service I’ve had in a restaurant in years. All staff took time to look after us.

R. S.The first time we visited the fatted calf we found it by chance in the beautiful village of Glasson . We had lunch there and it was just superb. I had not tasted roast beef so good for many years. My husband had fish which was also delicious. I asked about the chef and was told it was a lady. She certainly knew her stuff. We have actually travelled from Galway to this brilliant Restaurant many times and even though they moved into Athlone it's as good as ever. Delicious Food and helpful friendly staff. What more could you ask for ? Keep up the great work.

The waiter was friendly and apologized when he saw we were still waiting. The place was not busy so not sure what happened when we were here but disappointing considering the other reviews. Nothing special about our experience here.
