M. S.22/10/21. This is a lovely bar and eaterie. The staff were great and the food was absolutely fantastic. It was made even more enjoyable because my daughter paid the bill. If I'd known in advance, I'd have had a desert and a cheeky whisky.

Their pizza is also amazing it’s what you’d expect out of an authentic pizzeria. Pavlova dessert nicest I think I’ve ever had. Can’t compliment the food here enough. Would give 6 stars if possible

The burger 🍔 for main which had perfectly melted cheese and bacon 🥓 melt in you’re mouth kinda burger didn’t leave it down after picking it up that good!
Chocolate pudding and ice cream for dessert to top it all off ideal town!! Highly recommend this spot!!
D. C.Very nice atmosphere. We were out in an area at the back of the main building. It was just a nice size for the amount of people there. We had finger food which was very tasty and it wasn't spared either. Nice little bar area also out there. I will definitely be back again for some food and drinks. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. If you happen to be passing or your staying nearby definitely visit here. It's well worth the visit.
E. O.I was at the villager in Glasson. Food is great. But the service with some waiting staff is terrible veg arrived when my food was nearly finished.
There was absolutely no social distancing of staff members. They take orders very close to you and never wear masks or visors.
The staff did not sanitize hands while i was their for the hour and half.
It was not good to go in with no social distancing or sanitizing hands of staff or masks. Needs to change. Watch the news.

Really enjoyed the beautiful meal I had here today.. I eat out alot and this is the best pub grub I've ever had.. I had the burger which was flavoursome, juicy and the bun was unreal. My girlfriend had the duck with the most amazing noodles flavoured with coconut and ginger.. simple done excellent, bravo to the chef.. other establishment should take a lesson from how to make simple so beautiful and not bland and over priced.. nice cosy place with lovely staff.. we will be coming back

They have many options for vegan diet as well as vegetarian, so no need to worry if you have any vegan or vegetarian in your group. They have their own parking as well as own bar. They will have "Menu of the day " with their normal menu.
R. D.Stopped off for lunch after visiting surrounding lakes. Warmly welcomed and seated comfortably close to a glowing hearth fire. Attentive staff delivered a well portioned lunch special of duck spring rolls, noodles and vegetables and a delicious chicken curry dish. Both arrived in good time, were flavoursome and well presented, yet unpretentious. Excellent coffee too. Will definitely make a return visit.

Prompt friendly service, excellent menu with easy adaptation to dietary needs (gluten free) and the food itself is just perfect. Definitely give it a try if you get the chance!

Wings starter €7 not bad but portion was too small, shoukd have been about €6
Lamb chops €30 too expensive, should have been €20
Steak €29 too exp should have been €18
At €85 total including 1 beer, i think it was about €20 too expensive for what we got.
K. M.Lovely food,beautifully cooked in a traditional, cute bar. Meat was melt in the mouth.A variety of daily specials available.Would defnitley reccomend, only removing a star as the toilets, really need an update & although clean did have a smell about them !
D. F.A group of us were here for a christening celebration. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The vegetarian options were quite limited but tasty. Would definitely eat here again.
D. D.We sat for a 1pm lunch on sunday. Great selection of food and all promptly serve. Staff were really friendly though they were very much over run with a few sizable parties in the restaurant at the time.
Portions were fine (though would prefer chunky hand cut chips to the McDonalds style fries that were served) and the cod was excellent and very crispy. Soup was excellent and served with a lovely selection of breads. Dessert of apple and raspberry crumble was beautiful.
Overall an excellent experience, staff were very friendly and did not hassle us out of the table though we sat and chatted a long time after being served. Will return!

M. D.Lovely bar and restaurant. Much bigger than it looks from the outside. With a bar and pool room with i good size restaurant. There is also one of the best beer gardens in Ireland. The beer garden has its own bar and they make homemade pizzas. They also do a unbelievable BBQ for party's. You could not pick a better location for a summer party in this beer garden.
p. m.Last weekend my family had a Christening/Wedding meal in The Villager. From planning stage to the last person (inc small kids) departed for home, the advise, service and assistance from Maeve and her brilliant staff was more than excellent. The food was, as usual, perfect and the service prompt, friendly and efficient. Great experience all round. We'll be back soon.
