Visited the restaurant for dinner, during the winter months. The place is beautifully maintained and decorated, the service is impeccable (yet not annoying), and the food is excellent. Every item served had it's own distinct taste, indicating high quality products, a perfect cooking time, and of course the professionalism of the kitchen crew. The food was served at the correct temperature meaning that the wait time from completion to serving was minimal. Unrelated to the restaurant itself: Ample parking is available on the streets in the area however do take note of areas which require payment. Will definitely be back, especially during daytime and, weather permitting, will dine in the garden area. Thank you to all at The La-La for the wonderful experience!

The ambiance was amazing! The staff allow you have the best experience in the place, extremely friendly. We loved our time there. The food was gorgeous. The only thing was that they forgot to put a spoon with the spaghetti my friend had ordered. Otherwise all amazing.

Food is 4*. Service is 2*. Been twice, served the wrong dish first time. One of us got our main 10 minutes before the rest second time round. Starter dishes not cleared before the main course came and was going cold while they cleared. Basic stuff. Both times dishes on the menu weren't available which is very frustrating (not specials so no excuse). Food is delicious, restaurant looks fabulous and is spotless clean. Get the ingredients ordered and the service improved and its easily a 4* dining experience

Stunning Met up with 7 other friends and had dinner in the Library room. Such a beautiful and intimate room. The food did not disappoint, great variety making it difficult to choose. The staff were very attentive without being in your face and one course just rolled into the next without delay. I really an amazing night with great friends, and food in a beautiful location. Cannot wait to return

You could quibble about the slow but otherwise excellent service but I guess that's because how popular it is. I was herefor late breakfast, the cooked Irish breakfast was super. What a great surprise to have properly cooked top quality pudding, rashers, and sausages with mushrooms, perfect fried egg and toast, and all hot. It's been years since I've had that without cooking it myself. Coffee was excellent too.

Had a simple ham & cheese sandwich but it was exceptional. Staff were great & the setting is lovely, will definitely be back.

Very nice setting. Friendly staff. Went for lunch and the food was average at best. Ordered the burger and what came out was not as described. The brioche bun on the menu was replaced by an oversized seeded bun that was twice the size of the burger underneath and was dry without any kind of sauce. I was only advised that the brioche was not available after I queried. The chips were also not homemade but shop bought. To charge €18 euro for something I could make better myself is a little hard to accept. My wife ordered the seafood salad which contained miniature prawns from a packet rather than freshly caught and had no crab as described on the menu. We were only informed after the food arrived. I sent both dishes back and asked the waitress to remove them from the bill. Overall it’s a lovely setting and warm environment but don’t expect great food. Just my opinion but if I go to a restaurant my expectation is that the chef cooks the food from scratch not rely on processed or shop bought food.

Had a family meal here yesterday for my mum's birthday and it was absolutely incredible. We booked The Library as we had small children in our group and it was perfect. The food was fantastic, every plate went back empty and Amanda, our server, was wonderful. I can't praise this place enough and will definitely be back. I would give it 6 stars if I could!

It was during the summer and lots of fruit flies where we where sitting inside. I'm all about portion control but they where smallish especially for the price and only like warm. My friends cocktail was pure alcohol, I know is that a complaint but we could hear the staff say they ran out of lime juice. It's unfortunate cause I had great hopes and it's a lovely setting.

Absolutely excellent from the service, to the food, to the decor & surroundings. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the coffee was delicious, the food was really fantastic, and the guitar garden, tree sculpture and general atmosphere are worth staying for also. even the background music was wonderful. Would highly recommend this place for families, groups of friends or even just an individual lunch/coffee.

Superb staff and fabulous food and ambience. I had the pleasure of the grand tour of the accommodation also and it's certainly five star. A gem of a place. Lovely place to seat outside, outstanding garden design and really cozy. Inside is really small. The food is ok, soup was tasty, but sandwich was too dry. Fabulous bathroom design. Food is moderately priced.

I went here for lunch today with my family. We got there in the nick of time as the place was fully booked and throughout the course of the meal more people turned up but had to be turned away. The service was excellent. The place had a nice atmosphere and lovely, friendly, professional staff. And the food was delicious. We ordered the homemade breads, the fish and chips, the super la-la salad and the sandwich of the day which was a slice of brie on tomato bread with apples and fried onions and sundried tomato relish(I think). The battered fish was probably the nicest battered fish I've ever tried. The salad was fresh and tasty and the sandwich was delicious. The breads were also good. Balbriggan definitely needed a place like this. We will be returning.

I was hoping to give this a higher score - but unfortunately, on balance, I can't. The restaurant itself looks great - especially the outdoor seating. The menu reads really, really well - it has an amazing 'gastro-pub' feel to it - and the selection of items on the menu is excellent. Unfortunately, the execution of the food does not match up to the menu. They offer a trio of croquettes - but on the day we were there - none of the 3 croquettes were available and they were only offering 1 type of croquette, a cauliflower croquette - which, when it arrived to the table, was not a croquette - it was a cauliflower florette dipped in better and deep fried - it tasted bland and was not nice to eeat. We did try to add salt to it - but the salt shaker on the table did not work, nor did the one on the table next to us. The fish & chips were okay - there was nothing bad enough to send it back - but it was also bland. The Caesar salad was okay - far too much 'greens' and the chicken was dry. Overall - it's okay. Would I recommend it - no - which is such a pity as the menu ads great, the restaurant itself is lovely and the staff are so friendly - the food just lets it down.

We've been waiting for this cafe/restaurant to open for a while. The wait has been well worth it. What a hidden gem. This is a wonderfully tranquil spot. The garden is beautiful, tables are well spaced, staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Looking forward to going again and maybe drinking a coffee with some musical entertainment in the garden 🙂 oh and unlike most other cafés, it's open Sundays too. Brilliant

I had high hopes heading here with my partner and four year old for a spot of lunch. The setting is fantastic and staff were professional and friendly. I ordered a BLT which I found rather plain but the main let down was finding a sizeable lump of clay in the small salad that came with it. To be fair to them, they deducted the BLT from the bill but it was quite disappointing to find that in my salad. My experience seems contrary to most others so I would expect a future visit to be a different experience but until then, it's three stars.
