What a REVELATION!! Totally fabulous restaurant with the most inspirational and satisfying flavours - whether you are a full time vegan or a voracious carnivore - or anyway in-between! The Poacher (female) chef blew us away with her beautifully flavoursome menu - #menumusttries- the spiced goat cannelloni, braised beef brisket and/or the buffalo cauliflower wings!! #Awesome 🙌🏼😉👍🏾🏳️‍🌈

Visited this restaurant while in Ballina with my Husband who chose the vegan menu which was superb from starter to dessert! I sampled the regular menu and I would give huge compliments to the Chef. The meal was excellent in every way. Staff and Proprietor very welcoming and provided top class service. We will definitely be back!

Our second trip to The Poacher on our yearly visit to Ballina. Amazing food, good value menu with something for everyone. Very friendly and attentive staff. Just a matter of time until the Michelin guide notices this gem! Go as often as you can. My wife is from the US and I’m from Germany. We both couldn’t have been happier. We had a total of six dishes (appetizers, mains & dessert) all were outstanding! Fantastic service as well.

Myself and my Husband spent a week in Ballina and were so lucky to discover The Poacher. The food was absolutely fab, the staff were so helpful and lovely, the wine was very good too!. They did a great job with covid measures and it felt very safe. It’s a really super place to go, recommend it to all!

We had such a wonderful meal here last week. The food was absolutely delicious and a bit different, the staff were so helpful and lovely, the wine was perfect. They did a great job with covid measures and it felt very safe. It’s a really lovely space, and I admire their courage opening mid-pandemic. I hope they do really well - they deserve to!

This is by far the best authentic restaurant we have been to in lreland.I would highly recommend this place for someone who is gluten intolerant and vegan as they have a lot of options to choose from.The food was scrumptious and compliments to the chef Yvonna ,her partner Danny and the friendly staff members.We found it difficult to leave the place as the atmosphere was so warm with lovely music Everyone visiting west of lreland should have a bite here !!!

Great ambience and food was delicious. Really appreciated they offer full vegan/vegetarian menu (dessert included :) ). Staff and owner were very attentive. Good selection of bread too! They are finally open and we had a delightful evening here. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. The owner went around the dining room and made sure that everybody was comfortable and happy with their food. Beautiful place and everybody autos go and check it out.

Last night was one of those rare experiences where there was no compromise across food, service and ambiance. Yvonne, Daniel and their team produced what we can only say is one of the top dining experiences we have had in Ireland. As an eclectic mix of vegan, v-egg-an, and omnivores we don't often encounter a place with such a well thought out and executed menu. This ranks up there in our top 10 alongside illustrious meals at "Charlie was a Sinner", Hakkasan, Domain des Etangs and Joel Robuchon. Shout out for the wines by the glass as well. We will be back and bringing friends & family!!

We have eaten here several times and it's always top notch. Delighted to have a good restaurant in Ballina serving foraged and good quality local produce. Always something different from the norm on the menu, well cooked and presented, and the staff are lovely. Good wine list to match also.
