Amazing food and service. They were so busy and definitely short staffed but every single staff member we encountered was a pleasure. I had the coconut curry as it was the least spicy item on the menu and I'm not great with spice. It was a tad hot for my liking but the flavour and lamb quality was outstanding. Definitely try this place, if like my partner you're a fan of curries.

Delicious food. Good staff. Specially Balochi karahi
Our drinks were cold and when complained, they were removed from the bill. Staff was super polite.

A bit too noisy sitting inside, would be better to sit outside. The naan was great, portion is small but perfect size for people who can’t eat much. Service is okay, I’d say it’s a bit overpriced. I might give it another try in the future considering the other reviews.

A wonderful dining experience. Delicious dishes presented nicely. Stellar service, we felt our waiter really cared that our needs were met which was a delightful treat. The restaurant has rather uniquely designed interior which we really enjoyed - a blissful escape from reality. Highly recommend!

At the heart of of Bray beach this place offer mesmerizing views of the beach.
The food served there is delicious. Its of Pakistani origin however not spicy so you need to ask to make it spicy while ordering and they will spice it up for you. We love thier biryani and BBQ followed by gulab jaman.
A stroll on the beach followed by the meal st Data tandoori is an amazing day out.

Have walked past this place many times and always wanted to give it a go. Definitely Bray's hidden gem.
Highlight of our experience was our lovely server. Such a pity I forgot to ask for her name but she had long black hair. The rest of the staff was very friendly too but she went above and beyond to accommodate us and we left it to her to pick out our maincourses. The food was out of this world, such flavourful curries, definitely some of the best I've eaten in Ireland and UK. We also got given a complimentary homemade rose kulfi which is simply divine.
10000/10.

Authentic Indian/Pakistani food. Tasty. Great ambiance. Very friendly staff. Recommended for everyone

Lovely location with views of Bray strand. Menu is a little limited particularly for vegetarians. Not entirely surprising given Pakistani cousine is very much meat based. The fare that is on offer while not being extraordinary is certainly flavoursome and filling though a tad on the greasy side. Staff were polite and friendly, though perhaps a little green. For example, no one approached us after our meal was served to see if we needed anything etc. Another e.g. when we enquired into the main ingredients of a dish before ordering, the waitress was at a bit of a loss, which happens but didn't offer to check with the Chef either. Also,I ordered a beer with my meal but this was the last thing to arrive at the table, should ideally have been the first. I should add that none of these things took away from the enjoyment of our meal. The Naans were particularly good. All in all, a great location, amazing views,ok menu (for vegetarians) and friendly staff. 3 main courses, a kids meal and a beer set us back €50. Limited interesting vegetarian options would probably deter me from returning any time soon.

Absolute incredible food. Portions are not too big. Cocktails are delicious too. 😉

Great experience all around. The restaurant is warm, nicely decorated with a calming soundtrack playing in the background. The staff are very friendly and have great knowledge of the menu. The menu itself is well written with plenty of options for all types of appetites and people with dietary restrictions. Best of all is the food! Full of flavor and portions are more than ample. Plenty of drink options too. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and like Pakistan /Indian cuisine.

Food beyond delicious. Flavour explosion. Got the tikka masala. Cocktail menu fabulous. Well worth drive from Kilkenny
M. A.
So many things to appreciate about this place, starting from amazing location, ambiance to extremely pleasant staff... everything is top notch. The best part is however the authenticity of Pakistani/Indian food, every bit is flavourful, yummy and worth the price. Unforgettable experience overall, would like to visit again. Highly recommended 👍

Some of the best food around. Went last night and the service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced from daata staff, brilliant staff and incredibly amazing food. The saag paneer is to die for. Halloween cocktails are so creative and so yummy. Never fails
P. K.
This was my first time eating here. The food was great. I had a vegetarian dish with Pilau Rice and a chai tea. Great service and a nicely spaced interior. Right now you need to show your covid pass and a valid identification to sit inside.

Litterally and honestly the best indian restaurant in Ireland ! We have tried several indian restaurant in Dundalk, Drogheda, Dublin and Navan. After eating in that restaurant last june, we dont dare to try others ones !
M. A.
Delicious food, good service & nice staff.
Nicer outside or take away..best dishes byriani & afghani Chicken of course naan bread also delicious, portions bit on the small side if you are foodie
R. P.
One of the best places to eat Indian/Pakistani cuisine and staff is really amazing.
Paneer, GOC, Brownie with ice cream and Gulab Jamun is fab 😍.
Looking forward to more dine-ins and take aways.
Cheers!!

One of the best Indian, Pakistani dining experiences I’ve had in the DUblin area so far.
The ambiance is excellent, and service is good. I had no trouble booking for 4 on a weekend.
We went for a tandoori platter, a chicken curry, prawn and veggie curry.
The bbq platter was packer with flavour and really good quality meat. Curries felt like they used the same base sauce with some variation on the heat level, but they were all very tasty nonetheless!!
Will definitely return again :)

We booked an outdoor table for 5 people. The staffs were very warm. The place is quite convenient just in front of bray seafrontwith ample parking in front.
Food: the food was delicious. Quite authentic. The starters range from 8-12 euros. And main courses range from 19-22 euros. The stars items were prawn pakora, lamb keema and lamb saag. The mojito and mango lassi was great too. I had ordered peshawari naan, which was stuffed with coconut, almonds and raisins. I wasn't aware that it is sweet. It was quite heavy. But in general the food was pretty good. Although we didn't like the kheer.
The quantity was okay it huge.
P. B.
Ambience was so nice. Food was so delicious . Best part is they have a wall of bollywood movies posters.
R. K.
nice location and tasty food.
S. I.
Food was amazing and staff is so friendly. Right in front of beach so perfect location for a romantic dinner. Must go
j. c.
Fab food. Catherine the bar tender is AMAZING. Staff very friendly. Atmosphere is romantic and cheerful all in one. My husband and I had a great night. Will return.
s. b.
It's Pakistani restaurant.. not Indian.
Some dishes are awesome.
Especially I love strawberry lemonade...
R. M.
Delicious food, awesome staff, incredible atmosphere, great drinks. I think that about sums it up : )
J. W.
Had a fantastic night. Very clean & very good staff. Food & cocktails out of this world. Can't wait to go back .
K. V.
Freshly renovated venue, charming staff and delicious food right by the water in Bray.
S. H.
The best Indian in Bray, warm informal dining in the restaurant, great for a family meal, kids welcome and well catered for. The same top quality food to take away, a firm family favourite in our house, highly recommend!
C. K.
Fresh and delicious food. A hidden treasure of Bray! Don't miss it!
N. M.
Fantastic authentic Indian/Pakistani food, vegan main course options, friendly service.
G. C.
Have gotten takeaways many times, always consistently amazing
A. K. D.
Had Afghani chicken, saag paneer, pilau rice and rotis. Have to say this was one of the most authentic experiences in Dublin. Definitely recommended. Great food, ambience and service!
T. C.
The food here is great and so is the service. Maybe a little bit cramped inside.
a. y.
Excellent food and service. Lamb Karahi was spot on, not too spicy just the way I like it. Beautiful atmosphere and great location. Will definitely return. 💯
B. S.
Food is very tasty but really poor service , was told to collect food at 7pm but wasn't ready until 7 .40
h. m.
Some of the nicest food I've ever tasted seriously gorgous A must try
R. R. G.
The starters were very tasty but with less quantity. Expected a bit too much from chicken biryani but did taste as good as starters did . Nice place for dinner if you get a table outside to feel the beach breeze .
a. s.
They serve AMAZING pakistani food. Got Daata thaal for Iftar, and all of the items were very tasteful and cooked to perfection. Specially the Naan was as good as you would find in Lahore.
H. L.
The Afghani chicken and the lamp chops are probably the best thing I have ever eaten. The food is top notch and the service is great. Been to this restaurant twice and although the second time was takeaway, the service was still impeccable and tbh the food is tooo good to even care about the service lol. A must if you are in the area. 100%
C. H.
I recently collected a Daata takeaway, and I was delighted with the whole experience. I ordered online and the food was ready within 15 minutes. Everything ordered was delicious and the portion sizes were extremely generous. The floor staff there, Aliha and Wiki, were very friendly and helpful. They checked through the whole order with me to make sure everything was correct. The restaurant looked lovely and I cannot wait for it to reopen soon so I can try out the ‘full restaurant experience’. I would highly recommend Daata.
H. P.
Superb restaurant for desi food and samosa and Tikki are awsome
S. R.
Visited Daata a few days ago, have to say it’s one of the best Pakistani restaurants in Ireland. The staff are so courteous and do a lot to help you feel comfortable and accommodate requests. The food was fantastic and a brilliant aroma from each dish. One downside is that the restaurant was quiet at the time we visited and the staff were chatting away quite loudly. I understand there might not be much to do but we really didn’t want to listen into their conversations.
M. C. B.
A true gem in Bray. My husband and I came to Daata Tabdoori for my birthday and had the most delicious and enjoyable dinner! We loved the whole ambiance of the place and the staff were absolutely lovely. The food was amazing with the perfect amount of spice in the dishes. Nice cocktails too! We will definitely return:)
B.
Wow such lovely food very authentic great chefs. Friendly service and prompt delivery with a smile. Had sagg paneer, saffron rice, bajis, samosa and mango lassie. So very delicious definitely recommend. Now open again as restaurant definitely worth a visit. It's super deliciousness will put a huge grin on your face enjoy 😊
R. A.
Went with my husband who is Pakistani, we really enjoyed the food. They even made us the chilli bhaji that wasn’t on the bray restaurant menu. Only criticism is the kebab starter was a little dry. Overall had a really lovely evening.
A. T.
Great restaurant with lovely authentic food with all the Indian flavours that has been adopted to the Western spice palate. The flavours are still there. Would highly recommend. Great atmosphere in the restaurant and they offer takeaway as well.
H. A.
We were craving for good authentic Pakistani food. Ordered Daata's Thal and brilliant! Loved it! Highly recommneded!
B. A.
Very good restaurant. Location and atmosphere is lovely. Have been here multiple times with my family and I am not sure why there are people complaining about quantity/price. It is high quality ingredients portioned to suit each person. I think these people are used to cheap curry houses and used to sharing one course between the whole family. Keep up great work Daata. All the best. Ali
G. B.
Brilliant wonderful experience and great food. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
W. T.
Daata bray is a fantastic pakistani cuisine. The food is phenomenal. My favourite is afghani chicken and a garlic naan. The naan was very fresh and the afghani was just outstanding :). The staff is amazing especially Aliha. Very polite and sweet.
K. B. P.
Fantastic food and great service, this place is definitely worth the money.
We were greated by happy people and we got the food super fast, and there was more than enough of it.
I would personally recommend their specials, they are delicious with garlic naan bread.
We had the Afghani Chicken and the Lahori Tawa Keema, absolutely delicious.
J. W.
First time eating here and influenced by the good reviews, we were very happy with our meal. Chicken wing starters hit just the right notes of spiciness, the mains of lamb with spinach was yum as was the house special lamb curry. Washed down with a bottle of Butchers Block Argentinian Malbec, we couldn't fault the flavours and freshness. Very courteous staff, quite an understated restaurant on the seafront but worth every cent. We'll be back!
S. L.
Great food and nice range for celiacs and vegans
I. D.
Good place but expensive, 3 out of 5 for average vegetarian dishes, meat dishes did look great im sure it's decent for that , 12 euro for a small bowl of average dah. Good service, nice people. But ultimately 40 quid for minced spinach, bowl of lentils and bread and rice for 2 is just not good value.
R. C.
It was Saturday night and Curry O'Clock if you had asked me judging by all the excitement over ordering from Daata. I was at a friend's house in wicklow, gorgeously nestled on the foot of the sweet sweet sugarloaf. A grouo of us were drinking some deliciously fruity session IPAs whilst discussing our options for ordering food and Daata was the clear winner of out hearts.
With 8 of us there, a bit of planning was needed. Luckily we had liam on hand with the trusty notebook and lost making capabilities,.not to mention his neat hand writing. He made a list of the order and Lynn ordered by phone, whilst I cant say for sure what her interaction was on the phone I assumed it was jovial and jolly in manner.
The food arrived swiftly, and boy did it live up to its hype (side note, this joint is known well on the street as being one of the best spots for Pakistani and Indian food arouns)
We ordered a huge array of curries, each one more fragrant than the last. The afghani chicken was a clear winner, I would liken its complexity to the work of mozart, or bach. Countless elements all working in harmony at once. Just sumptuous.
As I am a pesceterian I was delighted they could make this curry with prawns on request, so top marks for being so accommodating. I heard from the group that the vindaloo was also a winner. The Garlic nan had the perfect amount of chew, which lets face it, is one of the most important elements of this delicious bread.
Couldn't reccomend more if youre looking to try something new, spice up your weekend a bit- sit back, relax and reap the benefits of getting your spice fix from this bastion of the multicultural melting pot of bray seafront.

This was our first time visiting Daata Tandoori and we were delighted with our experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful and our dishes were delicious. We were with our 2 young kids on the heated outdoor terrace. Inside looked beautifully decorated in a very authentic way and we will return again very soon to Datta Tandoori.

Visited yesterday with my family. What a great meal to start off the new year. Excellent authentic Pakistani food, I had the Daal tharka which was amazing. My son loved the kids menu. Wonderful service from Aliha.
M. H.
Closing the kitchen before you are closed is poor form. Change your hours if you don't want to cook past 9pm.
So I originally wrote this as a one star review because I was frustrated with not being able to try the food here. Bray sees a number of tourists such as myself and it's not always intuitive that you can't get food during a restaurants hours of operations.
In response to the owners comment:
It would have been great, if next time a guest comes in before 10 to eat, if the folks at the front didn't respond with "kitchen is closed". If they had offered me the option of takeout I would have enjoyed a beverage and then taken my food to go. This was never offered, and the statement "kitchen is closed" precludes this option.
I'm changing this to a 4 star review mainly because the owner took the time to respond within an hour of my posting a 1 star review. It might have been a tumultuous Wednesday night, and the staff wanted to head home. I will not have an opportunity to try the food, but thank you for reading my feedback and engaging in conversation about it.

Where do I even begin? This place was beyond my expectations. The food (especially afghan chicken) the atmosphere, the cool Bollywood music... and THE STAFF! By far this place has the best staff I have ever come across ever in a restaurant. Service was perfect, our waitress was a young girl whose name I forgot but she was so funny and helpful but professional at the same time. Thanks Daata for a great night, we will be back very soon.
M. K.
One of the best Indian restaurants around. The staff was just brilliant, bringing out a cake for my daughters birthday, We didn’t even have it mentioned on the booking! Thank you to our server Aleeha for a lovely evening.
P. H. (.
The restaurant is still great and has improved a lot in the past few years.
I could recommend it wholeheartedly to everyone!
Thank you so much! <3
J. L.
Comfy and cosy restaurant, and similar food to both. Tandoori chicken was divine and a great fees if you're hungry. Can't wait to go again. Staff were very friendly and you can feel the good family run vibes off every inch of the place. Recommended and then some!
J. P.
The curry bases are very tasty. Id prefer if the meat wasn’t ‘thin/sliced’. The prices are steep. I’m not sure why takeaway isn’t cheaper? Definitely worth trying but can’t justify getting it more than occasionally unfortunately for me.
S. J.
Nice Ambience and perfect location. After a good walk on the bray head, a perfect finish of the day dining at Daata Tandoori. So we ordered some Indian/Pakistani starters and Afghani Chicken for main course which was delicious 😋 would definitely like to try it again!!
C. G. (.
Wanted spicy, all we got was tasteless gravy with chillies.. Disappointed!
M. H.
Have walked past this little gem of a place on many occasions. This time I had to give it a shot. Was incredibly impressed by the young waitress Aliha. She recommended the Afghani masala. It was well balanced with subtle spice flavours. Never had anything like this before. The decor is lovely and it makes you feel like you are in India/Pakistan. I will surely be back and give the take-away/ delivery a go too.
R. H.
First time visiting after Daata had some renovations done. It is truly a beautiful restaurant. The food is superb and the staff are very professional and extremely friendly. They have a great wine list too!
W. J.
Very nice and original Pakistani food, fine place, highly recommended.
EDIT: bizarre opening hours, for months we been thinking of eating out ath this restaurant but the 5PM opening time is wy too late in most part of the year, visitors usually leave back from the Bray strip around this time. This makes this restaurant non-existant for us.
S. H.
I travel all over Ireland, and this has to be the best little curry house in the country. Every time I'm in the Dublin area, I make the trek over. Never fails. The food is rich and authentic, not your usual europeanised cuisine. Atmosphere is cozy and friendly.
a. g.
One of the best asian food restaurant. Great view with some mindblowing interiors and the food OMG. The food was amazing we ordered peshawari naan garlic chicken lamb and spinach and some garlic naans with jameson and frankly speaking that peshawari naan is all over my head now

Brilliant food and atmosphere! Really nice setting and helpful staff. Reasonable price also!

Went out for dinner for the BILs birthday. We were so well looked after from start to finish. I had a chilli espresso martini with my meal. The chilli really accentuated the coffee and it was an interesting, delicious cocktail. Everyone else complimented their cocktails as well. The portion sizes were substantial and with a good variety of options for meat eaters and vegetarians everyone was satisfied. Didn't have room for dessert unfortunately but will definitely be back for more!!
J. A.
My family and I went to the restaurant in Bray and ea h of us orders a dish 1my wife and I did not have any issues with our own but my mum's one was spicier than she inticipated based on what wa written in the menu but no issues there, the supprising thing was my dad's dish was not hot, as if it was left aside.
My dad said it was barely warm, so he told one of the waiters and they took his dish and came back with it the same way my dad had mixed it but heated it for him, this to me was a shocker.
The waiter should have got the cheff to make him a new fresh dish, not heat it up.
This tells me that they have ready made food that they only preheat.
This is upsetting since this Restaurant is a family business.
If it had been a takeaway fast food shop then it would be expected.
E. H.
Love it. Food was great as always. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Masks, hand sanitizer and distancing all in place. Definitely recommended.
F. C.

I visited Daata after hearing a lot about it by word of mouth. Pink salt is my go to Indian place and I thought nothing could beat it. After trying Daata I am speechless, the atmosphere, food and staff is just on a new level. The Lahor tawa keema is so so delicious. Definitely my new go to Indian
M. A. R.
The food really good, sitting outside. Worth to visit
I. M.
It used to be a bit cheaper with the older menu but the place has recently been tastefully renovated and understandingly so have their prices. No more bring your own beer either 😥. Thankfully the food is still genuine and delicious and will keep me coming back
A. B. R.
If you are in search of authentic pakistani taste and quality, This is the place. Awesome experience. Menu option are not diverse , but whatever they have...they are expert at that. Definitely worthy of visit.
