Our second visit to NuaThai / Ramen Corner on main street opposite the Royal Hotel met the high expectations from our first visit with friendly staff, who greeted us warmly and remembered us. This time we opted to just go with ramen and chose not to have a starter. I chose tofu ramen again and my wife chose the chicken ramen. Both did not disappoint. We had been looking for proper ramen for ages and had yet to taste something so delicious like what NuaThai / Ramen corner offer. Both broths from both dishes were just delectable. Honestly you could drink the broths on their own as a soup and it would be enough, so fortifying. My wife had said to not waste a drop and to make sure we brought it home if not finished! The eggs that top some of the dishes are marinated with hoisin among other ingredients and were so tasty too. The dishes were satiating and so comforting especially on a cold evening. Very fresh ingredients and generous portions. Staff again were really welcoming and genteel and not too busy to chat and have a laugh. We made sure to compliment the chef/s whom, we were told , arrive on site much earlier in the day to prep and get the broths started. The ramen was superb and you can genuinely taste the effort and time put into it. After chatting with the manager we learnt that the broth is made over hours and hours, evident in the umami flavor. Fresh crisp pak choy, mushrooms, red and green chilli's, peppers, scallions and other vegetables acompany the meats or tofu and thick noodles in the broth. To end the meal we had the apple cinnamon sugar crisp rolled pancakes with custard , such a treat! Overall , for us , it was excellent. Cannot fault in anyway. Great vegan and vegetarian selection too. It is really nice to finally find original Japanese ramen and Thai food which is well made, authentic and meets expectations. I visited Nua Thai with my husband after reading a really kind and generous message from them on the local Facebook forum about wanting to help a local homeless man. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and given plenty of time to choose our meal. I chose a spicy calamari with sweet chilli and a beef cashew stir-fry with jasmine rice from the larger menu ( the manager said they were in process of getting the menus sorted ) my husband chose vegetable gyozas with gyoza sauce with edamame beans and tofu ramen. The choice on the menus were varied and plentiful from traditional japanese ramen to Thai stirfrys and currys and more, they also had a large vegan option. We were given a huge bowl of delicious crackers with chilli sauce which we continued to demolish throughout the meal! The portion of calamari was very generous and the gyozas obviously were not the frozen ones from shops. Just gorgeous. Our mains were a whole other experience. My husbands ramen was absolutely delicious, the broth, we learned, was made daily in house and this was also mentioned on the ramen menu. You can actually feel the love in this dish! My stirfry was just amazing and so tasty, the beef tender, the sauce sweet and spicy and jasmine rice the perfect side dish to go with it. Both of our dishes giving umami flavors and a satiating moreishness that will have us coming back again and again. Our dessert was a straw shaped apple cinnamon pastry with custard, delicious and two mochi, one redbean and one peanut. I had tasted mochi before, store bought in a packet and didn't like them much but these, we were impressed! Staff were lovely and very attentive, polished and professional. It was the most enjoyable, tasty and pleasant meal out we have had in a very very long time. Prices are reasonable. Portions are fantastic. Visit here if you want a lovely evening all about food and flavor that leaves you asking yourself why you didn't visit here sooner. 11/10 recommended. Will be visiting again very soon and recommending to all. Try something new and support local. Thank you so much Nua Thai. We wish you all the best and lots of luck especially during these times. Only managed one photo of food, my husbands ramen. The menu attached is the japanese menu, the other I forgot to take ( Will be reviewing again soon with more pics ) Oh and we loved the music, all about early 90s, just brilliant , had us laughing and chair dancing! Overall we loved every minute and cannot wait to go back⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Friendly service, fast delivery and fresh food! We had the spice bags (vegan and normal) as well as a rice and a noodle main. Both very happy with it and will definitely order again!
