B. T.Always a nice spot for a visit. We were well impressed recently when, having not visited the restaurant in over a year, we dropped in and had the lunch menu. We had the place to ourselves with a lovely window seat beside the burrin river. Great to see all Covid19 precautions in place. The food was excellent as always and very reasonably priced. Overall it deserves it's good reputation.
P. T.Food is good and staff are helpful. Very good for kids as the kids menu is good and not too dear for a restaurant and yet it's healthy. Decor is a little dark and there is a steep staircase to he navigated.

R. L.We were welcomed in even though they were nearing the end of service. We had a lovely seat by the window overlooking the river. The staff were really friendly and efficient. They were more than happy to let us share a starter. The wait for food was short and it was really fresh. We never felt hurried and enjoyed a beautiful meal. It was reasonably priced and we left full and will definitely return.

R. J.Quality and quiet restaurant. Been a few times and have always enjoyed the quick service and atmosphere. The sweet chilli chicken with basil and brown rice was very filling. Would've preferred it to be more sweet chilli'ised, but that's just me, either way I would definitely go back.

S. J.Have been here several times now as the kids love the food. But to be honest you wouldn't know the place was open. There is an upstairs area where the entrance is and there was no light turned on at 7pm in November! Doesn't make it very inviting. Same problem on the last two visits.
Service was very good and there is a pleasant view over the river to rear although a few swimming mammals may put some people of their meals.
Menu is good with a wide variety of choices, if you like Asian cuisine there is something on the menu for you. All well presented and very tasty.

E. L.The Lemongrass has a nice coffee shop on the ground floor and the restaurant is downstairs looking out on a the burren, which is a stream flowing into the river barrow nearby. The restaurant has an excellent lunch menu and serves Thai food. The service is always excellent. The kitchen is not separate from the seating area, so you can watch the meals being prepared.
a. d.Spent a fabulous afternoon in the Lemongrass restaurant! Location is in town centre, with ample parking nearby. The restaurant has a large glass window overlooking the Barrow river. Sat in a booth at the window, watching the river flow gently past us, bliss! Food was absolutely fantastic, chicken satay to start, beef with black bean sauce, fried rice main & sticky toffee pudding for dessert!Yum yum! Staff were superb, made us feel so welcome, never rushed us, came to check if everything was to our liking-great service! And food prices were great too! Highly recommend this restaurant, first time to eat there but will definitely be back!!
D.Decent food but to be honest nothing special and the tempura batter is heavy and soggy. Not the Featherlight crisp it should be. Prices are reasonable though and FYI: Google says "Cash only" but that's not true. Cards accepted, luckily

F.Staff v nice and friendly food is super healthy I eat alone most of the time as it's my lifestyle not the easiest thing to do but at lemon grass it's not a problem as they make u feel welcome and relaxed.. Lovely open windows to river and the food is delish one course u Cud share its that generous. Girls are v sweet and caring.. My fave place.. Try the Indonesian noodles.. Very healthy and tasty.

S.I was down town last weekend & decided with a friend to try out LG Carlow, it is about 5 years since I was there last, the food we got was good but it just didn't seem like it was a few years ago in there, not restaurant quality. The main point I am making to management is the cleanliness & the worn/torn look of certain parts of the restaurant, the seat we sat in has a 12 inch tear in two places & food bits in it, the inner window ledge needs to be stripped back and revarnished, the outer windows need to be done about once a month( river side), the mens toilets - all over the wooden panels needs to be taken down and varnished and replaced to a good standard, certain parts of the tiles on restaurant need to be scrubbed to bring them back, also blinds need to be taken down looking onto river and polished, and as the previous reviews, the staff were excellent. I hope senior management over the group will get to view this & get in with a bit of elbow grease, thats all it needs . . . I will be back to enjoy this restaurant over the coming days

The lemon grass is situated on a great spot overlooking the Barrow river. It takes great advantage of the location with large windows and a patio area.
They do a great selection of Thai food with a twist of Malay thrown in for good measure.
