J. T.Beautiful day to enjoy this lovely meal outside. It was a total win for our little family. Husband got a tasty Sunday roast which he thoroughly devoured, my son got to run around on the lovely grounds since it’s hard for him to sit still, I had a surprisingly tasty chickpea falafel vegetarian dish that was both tasty and filling. Service was spot on and bathrooms were clean and well stocked. My pet peeve has always been no soap /toilet paper in establishments so even before Covid it’s kinda a sticking point with me. Have already recommended to friends and would 100% come back again. It’s off the main road in the town center so kind of hidden but what a gem. Can’t say enough about the nice service and lovely atmosphere.
P. B.Food is absolutely beautiful, always very fresh, quality of everything is excellent. Everything is cooked fresh on the day. Impossible to say what is best on the menu as it is always so good you just want to savour all of it. Desserts are to die for they are so nice. Service is excellent and friendly. Everyone is treated with utmost respect and appreciation and made welcome by Management and staff.

The food is really very, very good. The palate always given delightful combinations to savour and explore. The presentation is precise and inviting. The Staff are all so professional and make it look effortless. The sommelier will present delicious wine for any budget. One of the best places, if not the best place to eat in Carlow Town. Certainly my favourite.. If you haven't had an evening here and you live in Carlow, shame on you. It's an absolute gem and matches anything in Dublin or London or anywhere. Set in the stylish Visual Theatre, downstairs. A great place for an intimate evening or to bring friends. You must eat here. I promise you will have a splendid evening. Plenty of parking and central to everything.

I’ve had many lunches here and it is busy for a reason.
They have some great salads that are massive, along with daily specials. The food is delicious. You can go as heavy or light as you like; I personally like the goat cheese salad or chicken wrap.
When the weather is nice, there’s a large outside patio area with a half dozen tables with benches and chairs.
F. W. T.FOOD GOOD BUT smell of old cooking fat permeates; sandwiches offered with fries or salad for €3 extra. When I went to pay was charged €4.25 for fries, "because I got a bigger serving" (which I didn't ask for) so more clarity needed to ensure transparency .

Last Sunday at lunch time although they were having a really busy day, it was fantastic. We had delicious monkfish and loads of banter with the staff.

O.Went for Sunday lunch with my parents and girlfriend last weekend - really excellent service was the main plus - all the wait staff were very attentive, food came out quick and no problems with changing orders, things not on the menu etc. Comfy warm restaurant to eat in. Soup was really tasty on a freezing day. Three of us had beef which was spot-on cooked to order, with nice sides of broccoli, cauliflower etc. all very tasty and decent amount of food. Not v cheap but didn't break the bank either for a nice treat. €140 for four people with starters, main course and dessert plus a bottle of wine (a la carte Sunday lunch menu). Highly recommend. Will definitely go again.
D. S.Absolutely excellent food and my choice of slow cooked Irish beef was delicious. My other choices were really nice. Also, prices are reasonable and all the staff gave our group a first class service.
P. J.I arrived early to meet a friend , the restaurant wasn't even open for service , but I was ushered in and given a coffee and was told I could wait until they opened . A nice gesture on a wet miserable evening .
As it happened we only had a a starter each as both of us had big lunches. The service was top class, friendly and efficient Great home made soup with homemade breads . I have been known to rate a restaurant on its chicken wings , in this case they get a triple a rating .
P. D.A fantastic place to enjoy lunch. Food freshly cooked from produce sourced from local suppliers. Professional staff that make your meal an intimate experience. Menue changes with the seasons. Magical atmosphere with a backdrop of canvases from local artists.
S. C.Pleasant environment, tasty food and professional staff. The range of menu items is broad. Really like the black glass board where the daily specials are written in white chalk marker. The decor is contemporary and interesting and as it is within the walls of Visual, it is accessible for people with mobility problems.
s. h.Excellent farm to table restaurant located in the Visual modern art museum. Sit outside and enjoy the front lawn of Love a bit of Lennons! Price-wise it's slightly on the high side but you do get what you pay for. There is easy parking round the back and I've had a welcoming smile every time I've been. The daily specials on the blackboard are always likely to have one stand out item you'd like (if nothing else to try!). If all else fails I always have the safety net of the ceasar salad for which your waiter will ask 'with or without anchovies' - a sure-fire sign that you are about to get a quality dish from people who know what they are doing! The only reason I docked a star is I think a sandwich menu would help with the selection and make it a better place for a 'quicker' bite to eat.
Carlow College and the bells and spire of Carlow Cathedral. Food is top notch.
