K. M.Absolutely immaculate experience. We had a 5 course menu with huge selection for only 50e per head which you would pay for a main course fillet steak alone some places in Dublin. We also had two coeliacs dining in our group and they were able to alter almost all of the menu to cater for them which is so rare. The most attentive staff in a relaxed understated atmosphere. We were so well looked after and saw more than one table going up to compliment the chef. Such a treat, will be back very soon!

L. L.One of the go to places for great food in Leitrim. Great variety on the menu. Great for special occasions family gatherings or just a romantic meal. The service is very friendly and efficient. There is a very homely atmosphere. We have a wheelchair user and they accommodate us well. We always go back to celebrate family occasions so that says it all
K. F.Best meal out I had in a long time. Delicious, different and great service. Being a coeliac its sometimes hard to go out for dinner. Plenty of options here. Was given home made gluten free bread, pesto and sun dried tomatoe flavour.

I. C.Brought a stag party here and it went down extraordinarily well, every dish. The vegetarian option was excellent, which is often not the case in high-end restaurants.
The quality to price ratio is very hard to beat and I'd go out of my way to eat here again. Service was also great.

C. T.Mother's Day is a busy day here. Booked well in n advance and was well worthwhile. Lovely food, from a menu with a wide choice of dishes. Skipped starters but main courses of Stie fried beef in noodles and thai style chicken curry went down a treat. Glass of merlot to wash it all down and shared deserts. Main courses are generous and filling as well as s bursting with flavour. The revamped main dining area is airy and spacious. The mother's day treat was also very reasonably priced. A succesful outing.

C.Fabulous food in a relaxed and very friendly atmosphere. The presentation and flavours are simply stunning from a short menu (always better in my view) though they do keep a changeable menu too of course. Its closness to Carrick means you can enjoy an aperitif in the town (or indeed Jamestown itself) and repair to Carrick for post-meal drinks. Altogether a great experience.

M. M.My grandfather was born 2km from here in 1902 and this house was the birthplace of his childhood friend, Bridgie Doherty! My pop used to fish in his t-shirt across the street in the salmon weir. We've got b&w photos of him down on the Shannon pulling out eels! Took my son for an Irish holiday visit to to see his homeland. Arrived in Jamestown on a pouring down, rainy evening, the night before Christmas eve. Our hosts suggested we dash off to this spot right at 6pm, before the dinner rush as "it's hard to get a table." Hard for me to believe, after flying in from NYC to Shannon, that a place in the country in Ireland would be booked out! Well, off we ran to the Cottage. Could only sit for 1.5 hours, as the table was reserved for 7:30. Well worth the hustle, we were jetlagged anyway and had the beds calling us at 8pm.
Ordered the lamb loins and steak, probably the best I've ever eaten! So surprised to find Asian owners in Ireland, but they do right by Irish traditional cuisine! Veg and sauce was as good as the mains. A bit pricey, but it was a holiday night out. Reserve this spot for a special evening. Truly memorable, very warm, outstanding dining experience. Slainte!
