R.All I can say is Oh my GOD!!!!! Dashi Deli is absolutely wonderful! The food is exceptional both warm and the Sushi. The sushi in particular is extraordinary and the closest to actually Japanese sushi I’ve ever tasted outside of Japan. The special sushi that is done on a daily basis is a must for everyone. The staff here are warm, welcoming & above all customer focused. The experience I’ve had in Dashi is incredible m, I still cannot believe this place doesn’t have a Michelin star!!!!! Thanks guys the food is AMAZING!!!!
R. S.The sushi is good and the owner is very nice. I would like, however, to leave constructive feedback. The amount of plastic containers used when served (inside and takeaway) is quite upsetting. Please try be more sustainable and use less single-use plastic. You used to have these beautiful trays you served on - I know that you said you don’t use them due to Covid-19, but at least use plates, like other restaurants. When we had food there, I counted 12 plastic containers (for 2 people) - which just seems futile and wasteful.
T. W.Dashi serves some of the finest japanese food I have found outside of actual Japan. For a first time visitor I would recommend to start with salmon-avocado temaki - they're a great introduction towards this type of food. For groups one cannot go wrong with the party platter; however, this understandably needs to be ordered at least a day in advance. Sum total: if you like fish at all, go there and have some!
S. D.Wow! The quality of fish and freshness of the food was fantastic. We were really surprised by the high standard which you would expect of a top sushi restaurant. We had a tuna/salmon set and a seafood curry. The curry was spicy but so well balanced to enhance the quality of ingredients. The staff are fun and passionate about their food. They were so helpful accomodating my allergies with such ease.
When I'm back in Cork I will make a beeline for this place.

One small note is that my friend ordered something they needed to prepare which is fine, but they asked her to order through the app and pay partially which I thought was pretty strange and didn't make much sense to me.
Overall loved visiting this place. The vibe is very nice, the staff is lovely and the food is yummy (and that's what it's all about, isn't it?) Bonus point for running into someone Dutch on the lovely island that is Ireland.
J. M.I used to live in Japan for ~3 months and I have to say that the sushi at this place is the real deal. Salmon and Tuna were amazing and you can tell that the quality of the fish is very important to this business. Highly recommend coming here. I'll definitely be getting at least one more meal before leaving Cork!

Regarding food, soup was good but prawns were basically tasteless.
Sushi was good even if the largest pieces where not consistent enough to keep their shape. And a roll slice with pepper spice on top (barbecue spices like) was terrible.

Rice is always perfectly cooked, seasoned and they do a tofu pocket that is just delicious not to mention the staff always super friendly. as sushi go's dashi sushi is very reasonably priced
Highly recommend dashi for a bite to eat or a takeaway lunch.

My memories are of super-fresh sushi and an incredibly good selection of rolls, with always a new "special of the day" to try!
