This is premium fast food and cheap to boot.
This is an insane fast food restaurant, constantly queued with locals and tourists alike.
Appears to have won every possible Award and rightly so.
Go early and go hungry for the perfect chip.
T. T.KC & Son & Sons is a Cork staple! Definitely worth the drive to Douglas to get one of their many pittas!
Some of their best in my view are the King Creole (Chicken), Kansas City Pitta (Pork) and the Philly Steak (Beef).
Don't be phased by the queue as it moves fast and its worth it! The staff are very efficient and friendly!
They also have the world of side options from chips to Pineapple Fritters to their famous Chicken Bombays!

Prices are very reasonable and they don't mess around ! What you order is what you get! Always good quality when you get it!

V. C.People are waiting in long queue to get the food, it's that much famous and demanding. Smell of the food is so catchy that your mouth will be wet just waiting outside the shop. No sitting space only takeaway. Park a car nearby because once you get food in hand you won't hold longer to eat it.
D.Go here for the "mains" and not the chips. You'll find better chips elsewhere in Cork but as a local to KC's you'll be hard pushed to find higher quality and tasting fast food "mains". From the Creole to their burgers and everything in-between it's a delight. Be prepared to queue but it's worth the wait.
K. R.Superb tasty food here in cork. Normally some rush here always. They have only take away orders. Fast billing and delivery so no need to wait for long. Price is less and they give good quantity. No parking place for the hotel but the street havem I recommend kc & sons.

While the food tastes nice it can be too greasy to eat at times, and depending on the time you go your food can get squashed during packing if its really busy.

And it wasn't as if I'd picked up the wrong thing because it was like one cube of chicken. Tasted really good until that happened and I couldn't say anything because we'd taken it home to eat.

The queue moves fast though because they have the pipelining system, so have your order ready or you will hold up the line. Food can be a little messy, but hey, it's fast food. I like the place and order about once a month. A bit pretentious though with all those Bridgestone "Best in Ireland" plaques outside. It's fast food, not gourmet.
J. T.Unique and absolutely delicious options here. If you haven't been, change that quick! Timing can be vital to avoid a crazy queue. But the staff do move through orders very fast so don't be totally disheartening if you happen to get there and the queue is out the door

a. p.Its not a burger place, its an experience. In my years in Cork, I have waited in a queue for a burger in a single joint... KCs. The meat options are definitely better than the veg options. As a vegetarian I enjoy thier pita and varieties of chips and curry.

Yes you can buy the traditional fish, chips, burgers etc but it's their inventive pittas and sides where they are in a world of their own. L. A.The best fast food place in Cork full stop. KCs is renowned around all of Cork with people travelling up to an hour to get it. They serve pittas filled to the brim with plenty of fillings. You can see the popularity of the restaurant as soon as you arrive with a queue going out the door, you'll be waiting about 20 minutes to get your hands on a pitta. But once you get it you'll realise how worth it it is. It is the perfect food to cure your hangover.

p. o. r.So this aprently is one of the best places in cork for fast food. I assure you its not.if your lucky enough to get inside and havnt froze to death waiting outside in the queue... yes literally outside in the street braving the elements fighting off pneumonia and the pissing rain. This place does build up huge queues so ive always wanted to try it. The menu looks amazing in all honesty but for some bizzare reason all the burgers contain chips. I supose a cheap filler....And pitta bread which is odd for a chio shop. I got the BLT which the bacon was lovely but the food is unbelievably greasy and its just sloppy messy eating.we didnt get any napkins so i ended up having to constantly wipe my hands and mouth on the paper it all came wrapped in. I also got the curry chip n cheese but it just wasnt great. I woke up the morning after n i just felt there was a load of oil in my stomach. You will not be hungry though because they do give you more than enough food and the price is reasonable but for me i waited so long to eat here and i just dont plan on going back.

Don't be put off if there's a queue outside when you visit as the staff are fast at serving everyone. Much fancier than your traditional chipper, favourite dishes for patrons are the pittas, stuffed with chips, mayo, lettuce, and deliciously seasoned combinations of chicken, beef, pulled pork, or even fish. KCs keep their finger very close to the pulse, and their flavour combinations are almost always on point. They rotate a "Guest pitta" in every few weeks, and it stays on if it's incredibly popular. If in doubt as to what to order, go for the "Creole"

If going in the evening time be prepared as the cue is very easily 50-60ppl constantly. Waiting 20mins+ and it's out side in the freezing rain. Awedome loyal customers everyday, there is nothing quite like a KC's and you have not truly experienced Cork until you've eaten here.
