a year ago We were originally meant to go somewhere else but it was booked out. We managed to snag a table here what was told to be the last one left. Thank God we did. Warm, inviting atmosphere. Great lighting. Staff were a credit to the place. Very friendly and attentive. Made us feel relaxed. Then the food came and we could tell why this place has such a good reputation. I got the rib eye steak and it was cooked to perfection. The chips were incredible. Key lime pie then was what sealed the deal. I will 100% come back here again. Fantastic place. I would reccomend this place to everybody and have done so to my friends and family.

Great brunch. We had to wait more than 15 minutes, but if you make a reservation you’ll be seated immediately. Anyways the food was just awesome, the best poached eggs in town I must say. I loved my Eggs Royal! The bread, the coffee, the pancake, everthing was delicious. The service and the staff were great. Highly recommended it!

Hmm, #2 breakfast in Cork. I'd say it should be #1. I rarely eat breakfast out since it tends to disappoint. But wow, the quinoa-sweet potato fritters topped with guacamole and poached was excellent. The portion was a bit small but the flavour was exceptional. Very nice cup of coffee topped it off. Staff was top notch and food was served promptly. And the dining room was very clean with CO2 sensors clearly displayed to verify adequate ventilation.

This is my go to place in Cork City for brunch when I want a little treat. It has a very chilled vibe, can be a queue at busy times but worth the wait. My faves are the Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine. The service is always good, even when busy, and I have been going here for years. They often have seasonal specials which can be fabulous too, if you fancy something different. So worth a visit when you are in Cork City next time!

Late breakfast (10:45). Porridge with honey and banana, orange juice (which was fresh) and americano coffee. Followed by the lite American breakfast with bacon and black pudding. Okay here goes. COFFEE - Strong with a rich aroma. JUICE - Freshly squeezed. Very zingy. PORRIDGE - It was hot, rich, creamy oats with the sweetness of honey and banana. Overall 9.5 out of 10. Only issue. A bit more honey or a small portion on the side. LITE AMERICAN - be warned!! Don't have the Porridge before this scrumptious plate of deliciousness. Its fare to say I enjoy good food, however this dish is worth having with the coffee and juice by themselves. EGG - poached to near perfection BACON - Smoked, sweet and tender. Note I said tender, as I know, having had breakfasts in other establishments, bacon can be over cooked and over smoked. BLACK PUDDING - it's not clonakilty pudding. IT'S BETTER!! BREAD AND BUTTER - Crisp and the butter was slightly salted. In other words perfect. Overall 9.25 out of 10. Only issue. The plate the breakfast was served on was cold, which in turn led to the food becoming cooler quickly. Would I come here again. YES Would I have the same again. NO Reasons - porridge and fried breakfast was too much for me, however I will have them separately next time.

Went there for breakfast. We've had eggs Royale and pancakes with nutella. The pancakes were really good! Much better than in the Parlour Cafe. The eggs weren't bad, but are inferior to Ali's Kitchen. Admitted, they are a little bit more expensive over there. Definitely very poor was the coffee. Both the Americano as well as the Espresso. Overall an okay spot.

Great dinner here on our first night in Cork! We ordered off their extra menu: I had the hazelnut-crusted cod with barley butternut squash risotto and my husband had the lamb burger. They source locally and you can certainly taste the difference. We'll be coming back for breakfast!

Great grill restaurant but it is advised to book as it is a small establishment so can get quite busy early on in the evening. Went there just after 17:00 on a Friday and managed to get a table for two without a booking. Prices quite reasonable. Handy of you are looking a quick bite to eat or a large meal.

Definitely recommend that you make a reservation... there wasn't even a table for two at 6pm! Great food and great service. We had calamari (€6) and spicy buffalo wings (€6) and beef burger (€11.90). Calamari: the most tender that I have eaten in a very long while Chicken: not spicy. But the sauce went extremely well with the sour cream (see below) Beef burger: thick patty! The fries were excellent - thin and super crispy, best eaten with the buffalo wings sauce + sour cream (see above)

Good food and great service in a comfortable atmosphere. It's excellent value considering the quality, and they even serve Blacks of Kinsale beer and Roscarbery black pudding. It does get busy. There was a queue even on the Monday lunchtime we visited, but we were seated fairly quickly.

My partner and I recently enjoyed the 3 course home dinner and were delighted with the quality of the food and how easy it was to cook (most things reheated in the oven at similar timings). The choice of dishes was great and all tasted amazing. It was almost as good as eating in the restaurant itself! 5/5, thank you to the Liberty Grill for such a great meal! The emphasis on looking after the customer was seen throughout the ordering, delivery (a surprise personal touch that Denis himself delivered and provided his own number for any questions or feedback!) and by the fact that the universal cooking temperature and time in the oven was perfectly preplanned so that by time you were finished eating your starters, your mains would be ready! I was not sure about having to do the final cooking ourselves in the oven but it worked a dream, perfectly cooked Liberty quality food at your own table with no fuss. The 3 courses was a perfect quantity of food, great choice, the beef brisket was divine and the brownie was even better than I remember also top feedback on the aubergine rolls!! Thank you for including the birthday candles!! We’ll be back :-)

Fantastic dinner! Well plated and a good set of flavors in the entree. Had the pan baked cod, and it was delicious, but the first half of the fillet was riddled with fish bones. I took a big bite at one point and pulled out 6 bones, which caused me to focus more on being cautious with each bite than how wonderful all the flavors were together. Overall a very tasty entree. My husband had the West Cork Beefburger and said that it was good, but the beef was overdone. For the fish bones and overdone meat, I have to rate this as 4 stars, otherwise it would've been five. Also, the fist night we tried to eat there, they weren't accepting anymore people. We lucked out when we went there the next night and a family was just leaving. I highly recommend getting a reservation or showing up before 630pm.

Celebrated a friend’s birthday here. We had the fish of the day - a hake fillet for €27, ribeye and fillet (which looked amazing), fish and chips and a halloumi burger. For desserts, we had the mousse and brownie which was so decadent. The food was delicious and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. A brownie was even on the house since it was my friend’s birthday, and came with a candle.

Wonderful breakfast/ brunch menu. Impressive daily special. Be aware however the limit to the number of people in one group per seating is eight and not more. Otherwise service was impeccable. I was treating a friend to birthday breakfast and liberty grill did not disappoint. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The service was excellent and last but not least.... The breakfast was the best I've had in cork city. They have a nice amount of choice along with 3 specials each morning. They cater for vegan and vegetarian as well as meat eaters. They serve great coffee and provide the daily newspapers for customer use. The price is quite average and it seems they have a lot of locally sourced produce. I will be going back there as soon as I can!

Went in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon place was fairly busy, so a good sign. A number of people having brunch around us making our decision even harder, as the eggs Benedict looked great. In the end a steak sandwich and falafel burger where ordered. Fries where not available but it food didn’t disappoint. Sides of spinach and guacamole where also ordered. The food was amazing so much so I could go back until I’ve eaten the entire menu. Not a cheap restaurant but quality food. Staff where also great. Will be back 100%

One of the best places in Cork to get breakfast. Not the greatest place to go if you’re allergic to eggs though, as almost all menu items are served with eggs. Still a great place to go, but can often be crowded and kept waiting.

The restaurant is small and busy, especially when we went. We were a larger group with a reservation and despite turning up on time, we had to wait awhile for our table to be ready. The 3 is because this wait was uncomfortable. There's nowhere to wait other than outside or in the middle of tables, (there were other people waiting too) this meant we were hovering over other diners and the chatty group who were sat at what was to be our table. We felt very "in the way". Once seated the service and food were great, but the start set the tone for me. This is just my personal opinion and others in my group may feel differently.

got their avocado toast and it was absolutely delicious! By far the fanciest avocado toast I've had. I would have liked more avocado on it but the flavors from the tomatoes and cucumber were really nice and refreshing together so I didn't notice too much. Fabulous place! Popped in on my own for a quick bite. Would have had to wait ages for a group of more than 2 without a reservation by the sounds of things but was lucky enough to get a table immediately by myself. Staff were friendly and professional, the menu was varied and had options for vegetarians and vegans which I was very happy about. Meat eaters would be happy eating here too (I do eat meat too! But choose to eat vegan if there's a tasty option offered). Just good flavourful good 👩‍🍳 I'll definitely go back again with company for a longer meal but will be sure to book ahead!

What a treat! The staff are just fabulous. We arrived without a reservation at peak time on Saturday night and they were busy. Yet the lady who greeted us looked at the very busy table plan for the night and found a way to fit us in. The ambience was very comfortable. The range of interesting vegetarian foods, impressive (for a grill restaurant). We were tickled to find non alcoholic Carl Jung prosecco on the menu too! Recommended to me by many and I'd recommend it too.

I am disappointed. After reading comments, I thought this restaurant would have been very sophisticated with delicious food. Unfortunately, the steak wasn't tender: it was too cooked. The fries were not cooked enough and the calamaries were way too salty. At least the service was good enough to give this place a 3 star.

Amazing for breakfast. We had the East Coast Breakfast, it consisted of a Juice, a tea or a coffee, French toast and Bacon. We also had some maple syrup with it too. Even though it was not real maple syrup is was still delicious. The price is reasonable at 10 euro each. Small but nice atmosphere there.

One of the most talked about eateries in the city. Expect to wait some time if your wanting to dine on a Saturday as there are always queues out the door. The food is very good but I would recommend eating here midweek if possible, as good as the food is there are definitely places just as nice to eat on a Saturday when the queues can be a little too long. If its a nice day and you don't mind waiting do drop in though, The Steak Baguette & the Falafal are both absolutely amazing, the hardest part of eating here is picking from the tasty menu!
