V. M.So, me and friends went to Luigi Malone, Cork. Very nice place, very good food, comfortable outdoor seating, very nice and peaceful location when compared to city centre. We ordered
1. Cheese Nachos and Cauliflower from the appetizers: very very tasty, freshly made, served warm, big portions, quite filling.
2. Long Island Iced tea: highlight of the dinning experience, the best I have had in Ireland, MUST TRY.
3. my friends ordered Milkshakes and Juices: they liked it.
4. Vegetarian Lasagne: yummmm, legit, tasty, decent portion, served warm.
5. Vegetariana Pizza: amazing thin crust pizza, served warm, decent size, full of vegetables, very nice.
Service from New Trainee: Anne Marie was top of the order, good to speak to, food served hot in no time, calm courteous soft spoken person, she checked a couple of times if we needed anything.
Overall a nice dinning experience, will love to go back again. MUST TRY. Overall 5 Star.
1 star deducted because of Manager(I think her name is Ms Paulina): we asked for student discount and she said we don't do student discounts (that is fair enough) and then she said WE GUYS DONT LOOK LIKE STUDENTS: not a good joke, not a line to be said to a customer making a bill of 91 euros, bit rude, she made me feel as If I was lying to her. So I had to get up and show them my Student Card.
J. L.Loved the spicy prawn appetizer. The baby back ribs was fab! My wife ordered the rib eye steak-it was a generous portion but I guess since it was too big the meat was kind of chewy and tough and it wasnt cooked evenly. Other than that the place is big enough to socially distance and the waiters/waitresses were so accomodating

J. F.Atmosphere was nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The main course was not what I expected. Didn't find the salmon to be that good. I imagined it would have been crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It almost tasted as if it was frozen and then cooked. The sauce and lemon helped make the meal more flavorful. Could have used additional sauce fort the mashed potatoes, which was not flavorful. The wings and the dessert however was my favorite thing on the menu this night. I should have asked the waiter for the top 3 things they recommend I order from the menu.
J. L.Beautiful restaurant that never fails to impress me. Broad menu for everyone to enjoy. Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly! You have to try the buffalo wings and toblerobe cheesecake. The cocktails are to die for! Always busy so make sure you reserve your booking beforehand.

D. O. B.I recently had a fantastic coeliac friendly meal here from the coealic specific menu. The staff took great care in accommodating somebody with gluten intolerance. Likewise the staff were very friendly, and took great precaution in cleaning down eating areas. Food presentation is very attentive here, and tables are spaced out, with indoor and outdoor dining available. A highly recommended place for lunch or dinner for anyone in Cork City Centre.

N.Nut Allergy Review: I asked to see allergen menu for milkshake. I wasn't given the option of seeing this so had to take staff members word as to what it contained. Did not purchase as I didn't feel confident doing so. Otherwise the food was lovely. Really recommend the chicken wings!

M. M.First time going there in over 20 years since my return to Cork. Very pleased with staff/ service/ food (which was delicious) and portion size definitely filled us all up. We had a nice decent size space in the corner and kids were given coloring which passed the time nicely. I would have given it 5 stars but for 2 things: where our table was located the printer for the orders going to the pizza oven area was just above our heads and it was really loud as it printed every few mins. The bathrooms were shabby and wasn't clean, but in working order. I would recommend and I would go back for the food.
A. F.I would love to give Luigis a 5 star as it's a fabulous place for lunch but the evening menu is of the burger/chicken wing/steak variety and the night time service is a bit overly slow. But I will definitely be back for lunch again.

A. H.There was 12 of us sat for a meal, and it was gorgeous .we were all served promptly. Staff were lovely. A real treat it was one of the girls birthday and a male member of staff came out with the dessert singing. What a voice. The restaurant was packed and it was no bother to the staff. For starters I got chicken salad and for mains got beef tortillas . Gorgeous. Only disappointment was there was a 30 euro service charge. We were all paying for our own plus a tip but we still had to give extra.

The bad:
For main course there were at least 4 ribeye steaks ordered, all Medium/Medium-Well... And all steaks served were well done, not very tasty.
I have allergies and I spoke with the waiter before ordering to find out what I could have. He was very attentive and checked with the kitchen before confirming what I could eat... Unfortunately around 3 hours after my meal I was very sick. There was certainly something I am allergic to in the food that was served to me.

C.Food was nice and some of the staff were helpful, however I had a bit of a shock on my birthday when they had set my booking to the wrong date and time!! and at first, were very slow to help me, a receptionist passed my call to her manager who promptly hung up, uncalled for as I had been very polite and tried to lighten the embarrassment of the error in the crowded restaurant, eventually the manager answered on 3rd call and sat me in a corner after giving a half hearted apology for their error and re-hung up I was pretty upset at the service but the food was great, however I do not think I will be returning due to how I was treated.

You can have a glass of wine for €3.50 also. Great staff too. We had lunch there on Tuesday September 3rd. There were 6 of us and we were all very happy

C. C.The food here was delicious, one of the best places to get chicken wings in Cork City. Although at times it may be difficult to get a table (due to events in the Opera House), on this occasion there was no issues getting a seat at all.
The waiting staff were very helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable of the items on the menu, some items were not labeled as Gluten Free but the waiters were happy to point out what was safe to eat.
The restaurant always has a good atmosphere and I would happily go back again.

M. D.This restaurant is in a great location opposite the Cork Opera House and has some limited street-side seating of you want a quick lunch or drink. The food is decent and the prices are also reasonable. They also have a good value lunch deal that's worth getting.

I. D.Tried the caesar salad and chicken wings and here are my thoughts:
1. I liked how the pine nuts blended well with the dressing. Lettuce were fresh. The only not so good for me are the croutons (it's kinda airy and i just prefer crunchy ones). But overall, the salad tasted well.
2. I liked how the chicken wings are not too spicy. However, i find some pieces a bit dry. On the other hand, the blue cheese dip is soooo perfect.
Additional points:
- The place is nice, clean and big.
- Staff are accommodating and good.
I would love to go back and try the other foods on their menu. :)

I got nachos to start and they were ok. Carbonara was my main and it was extremely bland. She also put the main on our tables before our starters had been taken away. Went for the toblerone cheesecake for dessert, which was nice but I wouldn't be running back. Overall Luigi Malones is a nice restaurant but extremely over rated and they should have more attentive waiting staff.

C. L.Nice food. But asked for gluten free menu...it's being printed...since the last time I visited a few months ago! We were told to just ask to see if things were gluten free....sorry but thats not right, the menu should state allergens at the very least.
Staff nice but I felt we were being rushed out the door as soon as our cutlery was put down, and the back of the restaurant was empty so no need to rush us for seats.
G. G.Well all i can say is as usual you wont be disappointed. We arrived without a booking and were accommodated within 15 mins . The wait time for food is very short and the staff were excellent . As for the food the quality speaks for its self . D. B.There are not that many places in cork city that would allow children in a Friday night. Luigi's is a family restaurant, spacious and with great staff. Dropping a star as menu is quite pricey for what you get.
A. S.The cost of a kids meal has shot up. Doesn't include a drink. We were seated next to the toilet doors even though the restaurant was nearly empty and while the food was lovely, I don't think we'll be back.

K. B.This restaurant is a great place for large groups and families because of the space inside. I've eaten here a lot of times. I was a little disappointed this time. The menu has shrunk dramatically and the choice was quite limited and uninspired. The calzone I ordered was cooked well but the filling had no taste profile and everything was drowned out by a proliferation of sun dried tomatoes. The kids menu was even more disappointing. It included a kids pizza which we ordered with "salami". It arrived with pepperoni and was drizzled with chilli oil. I eat every chilli out there including the Carolina reaper and I felt the burn from this "kids" pizza. Needless to say the pizza wasn't eaten by my 6 year old daughter. Come on guys you cant spice a kids pizza like that. The staff are friendly but the food quality is a little below par in my opinion with no surprises or subtleties.

T. O. L.Really loved this restaurant in the past but recently found food is only above average of late. Pizzas are nice, stonebaked. It is worth a visit. One criticism is the prices which seem to have been inflated to counterbalance the readily available discount vouchers out there.
G. D.The menu was crowded with foods that were trying too hard. Who puts peach mayo with sweet potato fries? Maybe a lot do? Every burger had garlic mayo and shredded lettuce so it was just an expensive big mac really. I ended up ordering a side of potatoes mash which was nice but I skipped out on the overly complicated mains. It was like it didnt know what type of food it was serving. There was pizza, fajitas, American steak, lots of fish options, Macdonald's-like burgers and complicated versions of classic desserts.
The food was grand but relied too heavily on the sauces for flavour.
The staff got all the orders right and changes to the orders which was great. The kitchen and staff coped well with our group of 15 and they had two others of similar size in there at the same time. Not a good place for a quiet meal judging by my evening there. But good for pitchers of drinks and alright food. Felt like a TGI fridays I suppose
M. M.Had much more style before the recent refurbishment. Ketchup and Mayo came in bowls now plastic bottles on the table. The Buffalo Wings came with a traditional hand- wash. That is gone too. The interior is more like a fast food outlet now. Still one of the better places to eat out in Cork City.

I was there on Saturday and we sat down outside and the waitress brought us menus, l. If this is what he want then may be give some notice in that area??. The food was nice as always but the customer service is unfriendly. If read many reviews and this seems to be a recouring theme. I would still recomend the food here, especially the wings.
